Introduction

Welcome to the demonstration of the Netsuite connector for Shopify. In this video, we will explain how to connect your Shopify store to Netsuite and manage orders and refunds.

Connecting Shopify Store to Netsuite

To start, let's head over to the Shopify admin page where we can see relevant customer and order information such as the name, shipping address, purchased item, price, and SKU. This standard order information is pre-configured to import into Netsuite. We can also use Shopify's API to bring in additional data like the notes field.

Now, let's move on to the Netsuite connector interface, which serves as the hub between Netsuite and Shopify.

Importing Orders into Netsuite

The process of importing orders is typically automated, but for the purposes of this demo, we'll use the built-in connector tools to import the data. By clicking "Retrieve" and entering the Shopify order number in the Netsuite connector, we can import the order information. We can then view and edit details such as billing, shipping, and items. The order mapping feature allows us to filter and configure which data fields are imported into Netsuite. Finally, we can post the order to Netsuite to complete the import process.

Viewing Sales Orders in Netsuite

Once the order is successfully created in Netsuite, we can find and view the sales order by searching for the Shopify sales order number. This brings us to the sales order record, where we can see the customer, item, pricing, and shipping information imported from the Netsuite connector. The related records tab also shows that the deposit has been created for the credit card payment, a configuration option during setup.

Fulfillment Process

For automated shipment processing and item fulfillments, we would typically use the Logistics connector in Netsuite. However, for this demonstration, we'll walk through the manual process. After clicking "Fulfill," we can enter the package tracking number in the packages tab. The tracking number will pass through the connector to reach the customer in Shopify. By saving the tracking number and pushing the data through via the connector, the order status is marked as complete and the tracking number is successfully pushed to Shopify.

Completing the Order in Netsuite and Shopify

With the tracking number updated in Shopify, the order is now complete in both Netsuite and Shopify. This allows for easy tracking and visibility for both the business and the customer.

Handling Customer Refunds

In case of a customer refund, we can initiate the refund process in the Shopify admin page by clicking "Refund" and entering the quantity and shipping amount. Back in the connector interface, we can import the refund and create a credit memo. By retrieving and posting the refund in Netsuite, we can complete the refund sync process through the Netsuite connector. The credit memo can then be viewed using the Shopify order number in the global search feature within Netsuite.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Netsuite connector for Shopify provides seamless integration between the two platforms, allowing for efficient management of orders and refunds. By following the mentioned steps, businesses can streamline their operations and provide excellent customer service.
