What is PPSPY’s MCP server for Shopify research?
PPSPY MCP connects compatible AI clients to PPSPY’s Shopify store, product, Facebook ad and monitoring data. It helps with competitor and product research through natural-language requests. These tools query the PPSPY API; they do not provide Shopify store administration or theme deployment.
How do I connect Claude, Cursor or Codex to Shopify data?
Choose your client in the MCP installation guide, add ppspy-mcp-server and set PPSPY_API_KEY. Restart or refresh the client, then check that PPSPY tools are available. You can ask it to search Shopify stores or find a store’s bestselling products.
How do I install PPSPY CLI from npm?
Install Node.js 20 or later, then run npm install -g ppspy-cli. Run ppspy help to explore commands and set PPSPY_API_KEY before querying the API. The CLI setup guide includes macOS, Linux and Windows PowerShell commands.
Can I use PPSPY CLI without a global npm installation?
Yes. Run npx -y ppspy-cli help to view commands, or use npx -y ppspy-cli followed by the domain and command. Node.js 20+ is required, and API queries still require your PPSPY API key.
Can I track Shopify competitor sales with MCP or CLI?
Yes. PPSPY exposes sales-monitoring tasks, sales records and overview queries through its API. Create or select a monitoring task before querying that store’s monitored data. Read about the Shopify sales tracker and its methodology; access is subject to your account’s monitoring quota.
How can I find bestselling Shopify products for dropshipping research?
Use the Shopify product search to filter by price, category, sales and revenue, or query bestselling products for a specific store. Compare these signals alongside store and advertising data for Shopify product research and dropshipping product comparisons.
Can I research competitors’ Facebook ads with PPSPY?
Yes. Search the Facebook ad library, retrieve ad details and analyze a store’s advertising trends or ad content. Ad-monitoring tools can also query tasks you have created, subject to your account’s access and quota.
Do PPSPY MCP and CLI require an API key or credits?
Both require a PPSPY API key for API requests. Search queries and monitoring tasks follow the PPSPY API’s credit and quota rules. Obtain your key and check current billing details in PPSPY API Service. CLI help commands do not make API requests.
Why is PPSPY MCP not connecting in Claude or Cursor?
Check that Node.js and npx are available to the client, the configuration is valid, and YOUR_API_KEY has been replaced. Restart the MCP connection and inspect the client’s server logs. The installation panel links to the relevant client’s official troubleshooting documentation.
Can I use PPSPY MCP with ChatGPT or Claude on the web?
The installation examples on this page launch a local MCP server with npx. Web clients that require remote MCP need a separately deployed endpoint and suitable authentication. This page does not provide a hosted connector URL.
