Shopify Tips: How to change footer background to an image

hello everyone and welcome back to,another video in this video i'm going to,show you guys how to change the,i wish i had an example opened up but um,how to change the footer background,i had somebody in one of my previous,videos asked me how to do that in the,comments so here's the video right now,so first we're on home page and we're,going to come down to online store,and from online store we're going to,hover over to our theme,i only tested this with a debut theme,just for,you to know um i haven't tested it on,any other themes if it works,perfect um but um if you want me to do,it on another,theme then let me know so we're going to,go to edit code at the clicking actions,and then from here we'll get all our,theme files popping up,and we're just going to add an image,so you can close this layout,and then you can scroll down to here and,close that templates one thing you can,do first,is add your image so i already have my,image added,but to do it you'll just click add a new,asset,and under this you'll just choose the,file,and boom click on the picture you want,to add,from there you'll click upload asset,my image is this right here so this is,going to be my footer,background image and from here you are,going to,go back up and this right here,under i believe this is sections under,sections folder,you have the footer.liquid you'll click,on the footer.liquid,and you'll see a bunch of crazy code,so the only code that we care about is,this right here,so this is what it's going to look like,um let me zoom in a little bit just so,you guys can see it a bit better,but i'll have this code right here,highlighted in the um description,so you can just copy and paste and add,it in but how did i get to this section,so one thing you could do is,well it's towards the top so you could,just scroll down a little bit,or you can just um type in,this background color so,to do that you just press ctrl if you're,on windows control f,if you're on a mac is command f i,believe,and it'll bring up should bring it up,down here but you got to click in,and then it'll bring up this search bar,and then here you'll just click,you'll just type in background,color and it should take you to this,section,and under sitefooter.sitefooter,you're going to add this piece of code,background url and make sure for this,part you add your picture's name,along with the um,the type of image it is so mine,is a png so i need to change it,change this part to png and then what,we're going to do,is save,and preview and,that's pretty much it guys um well,you know what you guys can't see that,all right let's open it up in a new tab,so this should be it,so this is how you change your footer,background image,and if you guys have anything else you,want to learn,let me know let me exit that yeah so,this is what it looks like right now,so that's it uh see you guys in the next,video don't forget to,subscribe and leave a comment and thank,you guys so much,for um 200 and 200 plus comment alright,subscribers um,sor
