well welcome everybody um,to uh another uh fireside chat uh i'm,really very excited to be able to,introduce everybody to nabe alexandria,and zach george,um as you're gonna hear today um they're,each president ceo,of two major major players in canada,that are targeting and entering the u.s,markets,uh narbae is the president and,ceo of riv capital,riv,was a spin-off from uh canopy rivers,and canopy growth,narbe has decades of experience in,venture capital that he's brought to the,space,and um has made some recent headlines,which we're going to talk about uh,specifically with respect to scott's,miracle grow making 150 million dollar,capital investment as a start uh into,their expansion plans uh into the u.s,and sitting beside me is zach george,who is the,president and ceo of sundial growers,and,uh has been a,restructuring expert he's been in real,estate,uh was on the board of uh sundial and,up until about 2019 i think he became,ceo in 2020 beginning of 2020,and is,one of the major operators in in canada,that is also now directing a significant,um,i won't say war chest but significant,capital uh,chest of over 800 million dollars uh,looking to capture the debt markets so i,really appreciate you joining us today,and uh zach why don't we start,just give a little bit more about your,background how you came,to sundial,and uh explain the current platform,because you're operational and you're,you're a debt provider,sure,and thanks so much uh frank for having,me today so my background is really an,alternative investments,hedge funds and private equity and i've,focused most of my career the last,several decades on restructurings and,turnaround opportunities and investing,across the capital structure of,companies in a variety of industries,going through dramatic change,and so that theme is certainly continued,with with with cannabis,and in our case we were a,late entrant so sundial is listed on,nasdaq,market cap today is about 1.4 billion,dollars u.s,um when i came in uh the the,prior management team was,um trying to be all things to all people,so it was clear that we needed to,simplify the business model we ended up,in 2020 going through a broad,restructuring,exiting six countries um terminating,over 500 employees and really focusing,on the recreational cannabis market in,canada it became very obvious from day,one that um,certainly in canada but also,can be said for north america that this,was a market that was very long flower,and very short capital and so,we got the opportunity to have,access to capital that is quite rare in,the industry so,by november of 2020 we had eliminated,all of our of our debt,um and over the last nine months have,raised just over a billion dollars u.s,and so started deploying capital into uh,secured and structured credit,predominantly in the u.s so,as a nasdaq listed canadian operator we,are not engaged in any plant touching,activities in the us,but we come at we come at the financing,business through the lens of operators,so we hav

hey guys welcome to surfing show,I'm Knowles Alice in today's support,view is on the Slater designs Omni by,Daniel Thompson and I have it in the LFT,fire wire construction this is gonna be,a super fun review get your favorite,drink sit back and enjoy the show we,dive into this review I've got two stock,boards I've got a 5-4 at 26 litres and,I've got a 5 3 at 24.9 and I've been,talking about my range in pu and EPS now,obviously these boards are both EPS and,24.9 I always talk about EPS having a,little bit better flow for me compared,to a PU so I would say add a half a,litre right so if this is twenty four,point nine and we add a half a litre to,it that's gonna come in at like twenty,five point four under my feet and if the,five four comes in at 26 it's gonna,float like twenty six point five so,there's my range now why did I get one,five four and one five three,well because it's in my range the,problems that I think we all have with,stock wort or we're trying to order,something custom or whatever is that we,don't know which way to go on a little,bit more floatation or leaders or a,little bit less and then what are the,benefits and the downsides to each so,we're gonna do that throughout the whole,review and we're gonna talk about waves,I'll point out things that I see on the,five four that I like and things that I,like about the five three and hopefully,this will help you guys make a decision,when you go to get something stock in,the omni or the cymatic we dive into the,attributes of the Omni I want to first,say this if you follow the show you know,we,recently did the Slater design cymatic I,had such a good time on this board it,was so fun that I thought and now I want,to ride the Omni and really see the,difference because to the eye they're,very similar in shape maybe except for,the tail design on the cymatic is,completely different than the one here,on the Omni but they both have that,blunt nose and it took some time for me,to get over it not having a pointy nose,because I'm that traditional,high-performance short board look kind,of guy and to be honest with you after,writing the cymatic and having fun on it,it looked weird seen it in the footage,and I kind of just really had to adjust,my attitude and then I drew really,thought man look at the lines it's,drawing and and that's what pulled me,into wanting to learn a little bit more,about what Tommo is all about in some of,his designs so if we look at the Omni,it's gonna look real similar to the,cymatic right so it's gonna have similar,rocker it's gonna have similar board,size and widths but for me they wrote,completely different start first with a,parallel outline that just means it's,really straight from like right here to,right here before we dive into tamos,concept and what he's doing on the omni,let's first talk about a high,performance short board that has maybe,five nine pointed nose that's got a,really straight rail line like this it's,gonna be really fast down the line and,it's gonna have g

hi I'm dawn this name in the frame and,in this video edition we're going to,talk about pricing a little bit,difficult for us to come out with exact,pricing for you for the product much,like they say in a real estate world,location location location we find the,price varies on our product based on the,venue that you're selling it in the area,of the United States that you're in and,seasonally what's going on if you're,closer to a holiday season or not so,we're going to give you some basic,guidelines for pricing but you'll,probably know best your area in your,market so so play around with some,different pricing and promotion and see,what happens first baseline we find that,most of our retailers are successful,sign the basic print for between 39 99,and 49 99 almost everybody that we've,talked to is using the matte option it,only cost you a dollar and it really,really adds the perceived value I don't,know a lot of people who are saying or,just something to print alone when this,just looks together so nice and again,remember if you haven't looked at our,resource page you can get the mat the,poly bag and a little back-and-forth,puts it all together at the meijer paper,com website all those resources and,we've shopped around great prices on,those items there anyway so taking that,base price between at forty and fifty,dollar range of the prints then you need,to add up for your framing options,obviously frames cost different amounts,this frame here is just kind of a very,basic simple frame obviously coming,eleven point fourteen or sixteen by,twenty six started by twenty obviously,matting it generally we found a frame of,this caliber sells at a target or,walmart to net 30 and 35 dollars so if,you add that thirty or thirty-five,dollars to your base price you're,probably pretty safe the customer is,going to say gosh I know that's what,that retails for in a regular store so,they're just going to go ahead and want,to get it from you if you really want to,make sure you get that nice margin you,can do it a little lower or if it gets,to Christmas and you know they'll be,desperate try playing a little bit,higher but completely up to your bigger,very safe adding for the 60 x 20 about,thirty dollars of charge 11 x 14 frame,is debatable again that's probably about,a 20 download frame that they would find,at a store,no upcharge where you feel on the 11 by,14 that 16 by 20 really does seem to be,the best optimize valid but that being,said people have different preferences,this product sold for years and high-end,catalogs at a price tag of 129 99 for,the larger framed piece when we first,opened up in a retail mall we had people,set $150 for the larger mad at frankies,so there's definitely a precedent to get,a lot more you know if you do a really,nice frame option like this one's a,little bit more premium frame here you,may be able to get as much as a hundred,dollars you're just gonna have to look,and see what your market or better but,generally I think a safe rule of thu
