hey there this is kellis landrum from,truenor social we're shopify experts in,the los angeles area,we work with quite a few merchants uh,mostly in clothing accessories jewelry,that kind of thing,but really uh we work with merchants,that have all sorts of different,products but we are shopify experts we,do most of our work on shopify so we've,created some video tutorials to help,our clients as well as anybody else,who's interested in running a shopify,store learn a little bit more about how,it works um and how they can do things,as well as some just general e-commerce,concepts,today we're going to be talking about,shopify's collections shopify has,created some very powerful tools for,collections to help merchants uh better,merchandise their product to be able to,sell a little bit more effectively,um to be able to organize different,types of products or different ways that,their customers might buy them,now uh the basics of collections if,you're not super familiar with this,is uh collections are a way to organize,product very commonly see stores with a,menu that says something like shop and,there are collections of things like,shoes uh,sure suits tia t-shirts,depending on what kind of products you,offer you'll very likely want to,categorize them into collections,when you go to a collection page you,will generally see the title of the,collection somewhere on the page and,you'll see a series of products that are,in that collection,shopify also offers the ability to sort,by a few different things,or browse by a few different things,we can set the defaults for these and,customers can,pick them based on whatever they like,but this is the basics for of the front,end uh what a customer will see,when they go to one of your collections,now how do we set this collection up,well let's take a look at that so this,is the admin of my shopify store this is,the dashboard which i'm sure you have if,you have a shopify store and over here,in the left-hand menu we have products,and if we click on products we'll see,collections appear,now uh,in order to add products to a collection,you have to have products in the first,place i'm going to assume you have some,products set up if you're not sure how,to set up products go to,truenorthsocial.com blog,take a look at our blog and we created a,video to that shows you how to set up,products uh you can watch that learn how,to set up products if you're not sure,about how to do that it takes a while so,i'm not going to go over that here but,this is our products menu,and over here on this side you have,collections so we're going to click on,that,we're going to,click on the create a collection button,over here so we can create a new,collection,or i see what we have so,this is our page to set up a new,collection,every collection will need a title you,cannot publish a collection without a,title so i'm going to give this,collection title um,i'm going to show you the basics right,here of how to set up a manual,collection that is a coll

in today's video we are going to turn,shopify's newest free theme refresh into,a simple easy to set up one product,Dropship store,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products Drop,Shipping Shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video alright,first things first we need to install,refresh to do that click online store,themes,and then scroll down to the bottom where,it says explore free themes,chocolate,select refresh,and click add to theme Library,once it's finished installing click,customize,the first thing we're going to do is,adjust the colors so click on theme,settings,colors,and follow along with me,just a quick note with these gradients,I'm choosing colors that match my,product I chose the orangey gradient,because of the color on the sleeves and,the purple because of the product photos,but feel free to choose a different,gradient that better matches your,product,oh,thank you,foreign,go ahead and save your work I know this,looks a little strange right now but we,will adjust everything when we work on,the sections by the way if you guys want,a cheat sheet with screenshots of my,settings colors the text I used as well,as the AliExpress link to the product I,feature in this theme join our private,Facebook group I'll be posting it there,you can find the link in our description,box,all right up next we are going to adjust,the checkout colors so from the drop,down select checkout,click theme settings,checkout,the first thing I'm going to do is,Select my logo you can't see it right,now because it's white but as soon as we,change the background color you will,next I'm going to change the background,color,change the form fields from white to,transparent,change this background color,the accent color,and the button color,save your work and head back to the home,page,for the home page I won't add any text,here yet all we're going to do right now,is set up the sections starting at the,top with the announcement bar I decided,to go with the other greeting I set up,so I'm going to select accent 2.,next I'm going to click on header,I'm going to change the color scheme to,background one,select my logo,and increase the width to 250 PX,then Under menu I'm going to remove the,menu this is a one product store so we,don't need any Links at the top,last but not least deselect enable,sticky header no need to have the Top,Bar following us around since we don't,have any menu links,moving on to the slideshow I'm going to,remove the third slideshow block because,I only need two,next change the desktop content position,to Middle right I won't be uploading the,slideshow image just yet but the image,size I used was 1920x620,by default I have a featured collection,section here which I'm going to delete,your sections might look a little,different than mine but not to worry,keep following along and I'll show you,which ones to keep,what I want here instead is a featu

what's up everybody welcome to a new,apex academy video today we're going to,be talking about the state of instagram,how,the the costs,for shopify themes are going up and why,that is um specifically an example of,this is,shopify themes the themes that are,approved by shopify just like the ones,that you're seeing here on this youtube,channel,uh impulse this is a theme created or,approved rather by shopify and there's,many many other themes that are approved,also by shopify shopify has a ton of,these themes that they put out and they,are increasing the prices this theme,used to cost 180 now it's costing 310 or,now costs excuse me 310. uh the turbo,theme uh that we all know and love is uh,400,uh used to be 350. um i believe they had,a theme called the flex theme i could be,wrong but i believe they had a theme,called the flex theme and at the time it,was for 500 or something like that now,i'm not sure if uh,you know what yeah let's see let's see,it's 450 okay so it did uh did uh or 450,i don't think they changed the price,then um,because turbo is not or out of the,sandbox is not one of these companies,that have changed their price now um,there's this whole idea that,the theme the costs of these themes have,went up,because they're being updated and things,like that but if we notice,the theme that i have been talking about,with shopify,the price hasn't went up the prices have,stayed relatively stagnant now we,actually have seen wolf of shopify theme,the price drop um it's been too short of,a period of time for us to see anything,about really alpha um it's been at 455,for sale for 295,and they also have discounts like you,guys know i use my discount code and i,tell you guys about it um speaking of my,discount code use code warrior if you,guys want to get the alpha shopify theme,or even the regular uh wolf of shopify,theme um but with that being said,you know when we take a look at the,regular wolf of shopify theme or forget,even the regular wolf of shop50 let's,take a look at alpha right alpha 295,theme currently listed for sale at 455,or 455 listed for sale at 295,and these themes go up in pricing,i don't think it's a matter of new,technology because i'll keep it real,with you guys when i,sold my clothing company okay and we're,building the agency and we're testing,different things that work with,different stores and things like that,i've bought it i maybe maybe invested in,you know close to a hundred different,shopify themes that i purchased with my,own money okay so i i reinvested a lot,back in and there were very very minimal,updates in the period of time now,alpha you know wasn't out during this,time you know alpha had came out,recently this year okay like a few,months ago uh,the original wolf of shopify theme was,around for a while but it was it was,like it was gradually changing if you,guys are familiar with what i'm talking,about maybe you guys haven't been there,to see that i just find it interesting,that these shopify themes uh are you,know no
