hey it's klaus here with another video,this time i'm doing a review of a,shopify,theme called warehouse so let's dive,right into it,so here we are in the shopify theme,section and this is basically the,product page for the warehouse,theme it's not a free theme it's 180 us,dollars so it's somewhere in the,mid-range of prices for,themes and comes with three different,styles,i approached the company baestro and,they gave me a license for my shopify,partner demo store,and that's where we're going to into the,store i want to start,um with the demo that they show on,shopify itself so if we're going in here,you see it looks very clean a lot of,things that i like,in regards of conversion optimized,themes,they have a notification bar here i'm,not a big fan,of the subscribe and save up here,clear navigation bar very slick very,slim not taking much space here,so that's all well done um obviously as,you know from other,review videos that i'm doing i'm a big,fan of search,bar search boxes up here and some also,the card is very nice and then,a very clear menu here and you see they,actually have included a mega menu,down here um on this demo page of the,theme you see there's a slideshow not,the biggest fan of that,and then all the other bits and pieces,that you would,expect on a home page now,as you can't see what's basically,working in the background,that's the reason why i have installed,the theme on my demo store,we're going to dive into that now so on,the demo,dimmer store you see here this is,basically the naked,theme um that you get i did a little few,changes here already for instance i,changed up here,a little bit of the text um added a,phone number support email,and took out this subscriber box up here,so i did a little few things there but i,really want to go,and show you what's working in the,background because,that makes a huge difference when you,buy a theme,how much of a developer do you,need to be or how much of a external,developer,do you need to hire to get a theme,right for your business and conversion,optimized and,the good news is that the warehouse,theme has a,lot of options in the background let me,just move this over here,and so for instance,you can customize the home page product,page collection page and so on so forth,so that's not much different of what you,would expect from,a normal theme um let's go quickly in a,few things for the home page so,obviously up here we have the,notification by the announcement bar,which they call it here,and there's a lot of things that you,easily can change you can go in here and,then change the color of the,announcement bar,you see your changes immediately,obviously you can edit the text,you can decide where you want to have,the text,you can add a link to the text which,might help um this is the newsletter,sign up form again i'm not the biggest,fan of that so that's why i took it off,and so that's very easy to manage there,for the announcement bar,also nice thing is that pop-ups are,included,i'm not sure

How to use Shopify CLI 3.0 for Theme Development and deploy themes to different stores.

Globe again in today's video we're going,to speak about Shopify CLI 3.6 3.2,whatever you want to call it and before,we get started I just want you to know,that I have tried it I have give it a,shot and it's really awesome and you,will see we will get to all the features,in a second so bear with me and you will,also need to know that the old version,will no longer be supported until uh,like I think it's 31st May of next year,and usually some people still use 10K,because well some Futures teamkit has,some advantage over the old CLI version,especially for team development but now,with 3.x it's really you will see that I,think everyone will make great to 3.6,once once I show these Futures so yeah,I'm really really excited because you,will see all the features in this in a,second,but before we get started with the code,you will actually need to migrate to the,newest version,and to migrate they have if you click,Shopify CRI in the documentation they,have a really easy migration guide and,especially if you are on Mac since,Michael you have to do if you have,installed it with Homebrew all you have,to do is really click home brew upgrade,Shopify CLI if you have never installed,Shopify CLI in the first place all you,have to do is just Brew I think add,Shopify CLI and it will go to it will,install the latest version which is,um which is 3.22 for me so yeah,if you are on other uh machines like,Linux or revi or,excuse me or Windows you probably have,installed it with Gem and if you have to,if you had installed it with gem you,need to uninstall the old implementation,and install the new the new,implementation using uh using npm or,yarn or pnpm whatever you like since,it's now hosted on npm because it's a,typescript package it's a node package,and it's no longer a ruby package since,the newest version is actually,built using a typescript the old version,is using Ruby the newest version if you,if we check the GitHub you will see it's,Rewritten in typescript it's not fully,Rewritten in typescript it's actually a,wrapper especially for the teams part,it's a wrapper over the typescript,implementation over the old Rabbi,implementation sorry so yeah,uh now all you have to do is just click,here on global ads at Shopify and it,will add Shopify you will need to,install the core package which is,shopify.cr day and then install the,plugin yeah it's a plugin uh you will,see how the Shopify team commands all,are a plugin it's actually a plugin that,is added to the core CLI to support,Shopify team Commons so now if I,actually once you do that you will have,the latest version,and once you do that,um you can also still use the old,version of the Shopify CLI uh but you,will have to call it to change the pads,especially if you are if you have,installed it with Homebrew you will have,to change the naming using the pads like,like we do if you are if you're ever,used python for example we have python 2,and python for python 3. that's that's,reminds me of that,um the old implementat

I Turned a FREE Shopify Theme into a General Dropshipping Store!

Shopify Tutorial | Online Store 2.0 Dawn Theme | Collage Section Guide

hi,i'm erin merch from 2h media in this,video we're going to take a look at how,to use the collage,section in shopify's dawn theme from the,customizer let's get started by clicking,add,section and choosing collage this is a,very dynamic section to punch up pages,that comes with quite a bit of,customization out of the box,the first thing i want to draw your,attention to is the section settings,along the right hand side of the screen,if you're used to the old customizer,these can be very easy to miss,but are very important for being able to,customize the appearance of the section,the first thing we can change within the,section settings is the section heading,so go ahead and type in something custom,below the heading we have a desktop,layout setting,this allows us to display the large,block on either the left or right hand,side of the screen,if you're using multiple collage,sections on the same page,especially if they're back to back i,recommend alternating between left and,right,for each consecutive collage section,next we have a mobile layout setting,which allows us to choose between,displaying the collage as is on mobile,devices,or reflowing the content into a column,for the purpose of this video,we're going to leave the layout settings,alone and take a look at the individual,blocks that make up this section,let's start with the video block and,take a look at the settings that are,available to us in the right hand menu,you'll notice that we have three,settings the first is a cover image that,will be displayed before the end user,clicks the play button,if you're going to create a lot of these,elements i recommend creating consistent,video thumbnails which can be used as,your cover images,the next setting is fairly,self-explanatory the link field will,accept either a youtube link or a vimeo,link,and takes the end user to the video when,they click the play button,the last setting we have access to,within the video block is an add image,padding checkbox,which prevents our cover image from,being cropped if it doesn't match the,dimensions of the element,moving on let's take a look at the,settings that are available within the,product block,click product in the left hand,navigation and then click the select,product button that appears in the top,right hand corner of the screen,from the product list that appears,choose any product and click the select,button,similar to adding a video element the,remaining product settings are very,self-explanatory,clicking the show secondary background,checkbox will change the color of the,background that displays behind the,product title and price,if you click the show second image on,hover checkbox,the product image will change to the,second image in the product gallery,when you hover your mouse over this,block,finally clicking the add image padding,checkbox will prevent your product,images from being cropped,however this can make them appear quite,small so we typically recommend leaving,this unchecked,continuing to e
