what's up guys my name is michael ardis,welcome to my short tutorial on how to,create your own ecommerce site,using universe but first a little bit,about me i'm a 22 year old,painter i live in kansas city missouri,and i paint portraits like these,the reason i like universe so much is,because i love the design of the website,builder,and their payment process is super easy,but enough talk,let me show you how to set it up alright,so when you open up the app,at the top of the screen it'll show you,the guides then you can see your pages,if you swipe down you can see all of,your sites,so we'll make a new site right now and,select a domain,whatever domain you pick they'll pop up,a list of different domains you can,choose from,at the top it'll show you the dot-com,and then xyz,you have to pay for those but if you,scroll all the way down,you can see university's domain and if,you select that it's free,from here you're given the option to,sell something make a template or start,from scratch we're going to start from,scratch,it's always good to have an idea of what,you want your site to be like so there,are themes down here if you want to use,those,i just want this site to display my,artwork and display my prints,so you can select a theme if you scroll,down you can also change the background,color,and change it to a gradient if you would,like to do so,you could also add a video to the,background of your screen if you wanted,to do that,as well so for this i'm just going to do,a photo of myself,because i think that's simple enough to,display,that it's me and my artwork so at the,top i was,typing my name,and i kind of want it to be bolder,you could change your fonts you could,change the size,so i love how this little click and drag,method,causes you to create different things so,i click and drag and i could,select anything out of this bottom row,right here,and there's this subscribe block that,you could use and from here people can,subscribe to your email so you can send,them any notification you want you could,also change the background color,of that you could add text above it to,describe,what the subscribe block will be used,for and that's what i'm going to do,right here,i'll just kind of say that um it's used,maybe for giveaways or,discounts so i'll just type right here,subscribe for,updates on new,paintings giveaways,and discounts see perfect,and i love this because now you get some,personalized emails for people to see,whenever you want,now i'm going to add a couple buttons,maybe like a print button and a gallery,button,so people have a navigation from my home,screen to different screens that i'm,about to create on here,so this one will be my print button,you can change the background and,everything to make it look more like a,button if you want,and also i'll make this gallery button,down here that looks exactly like the,print button,i love universe because there's so many,features so many,creative ideas you could add onto your,website to make it unique,

How to customize Claudia Shopify 2.0 Theme

Create an eCommerce Store on Universe

I think I even here to make a path today,we are going to do a tutorial on an app,called universe universe allows you to,create a website from the polymer han,it's like easy to use and we are going,to go over how you can create an,e-commerce store or take some form of,payment using universe so if you have,already go ahead and download the app,otherwise let's jump into it,open up universe and we are going to,first create a page using one of the,out-of-the-box pages they provide that,corresponds with my theme which is flyer,and then we will create one from a blank,canvas so like I said I have already,chosen a theme for my site in universe,which is called flyer so it will be,branded with those colors so I'm going,to scroll to the as Dore page option and,tap that now I'm going to name my page,and keep in mind it is user facing so I,recommend doing something like shop or,my store or something along those lines,and then create page this is the store,page for my theme I can add and remove,blocks as I need or want so if I did not,want to have product name here I could,tap that block and then hit the trashcan,icon and let's say I wanted to add a,logo I could hold my finger down and,move it across the grid and I could add,a logo and now I can add an image either,from my phone's library or from,Instagram so I will add some handbags,from my hypothetical purse store you can,play around with the layouts using the,text block you can add in a product,description you can choose a different,font if you wanted to you can make the,font bigger or smaller you can change,the alignment and you can change the,color to the right when I click on this,block there will be a Shopify block if,you haven't already connected universe,to Shopify you will be prompted to log,in keep in mind that within your Shopify,account you need to add universe as a,channel on your products within Shopify,once you are signed in your products,will pull through since I didn't use,product name for my first product I'm,going to again select,that block and hit delete and I'm going,to add another image,again I'm going to add a product,description and choose my product from,Shopify so obviously I have three,products and I only have the option to,add two here so I am going to click on,this block and click on add row,otherwise I have to add rows here and,then move each block down so to recreate,this layout I am going to select a,rectangle and because I only have one,photo verse as many photos I'm going to,select the photo block versus the photo,versus the gallery block so select photo,to add in the product description you,would do a text block and then you would,add your payment block and we added,Shopify blocks on the last two products,but just to show you how you can do,different forms of payment I want to,show you first the payment block so you,enter in the price and a unique item,name probably gonna be more unique than,that and then collect shipping address,and if you haven't already linked your,accoun

How to sell products online with Universe

hey what's going on everyone in this,tutorial I'm going to be showing you how,to sell products online with the new,payment block I'm going to be using a,pair of pants as an example so just try,and follow along so I'm going to be,selling for my online store called fancy,pants so I'm going to go ahead and add,some text here and give my store name,I'm gonna style it,let's give it a elegant look maybe a,serif that might be nice got fancy pants,a name and got that set up I'm going to,now add my product so the way we're,going to do this is by adding the,gallery block which is an awesome way to,add multiple photos for a single product,I'm going to add it from my library I've,already got a album made for it which is,inside of my where's my favorites it's,probably going to be all the way at the,bottom given my luck,there it is I've got my favorites I've,got my photos picked out one two three,four and five tap Done and now what I'm,going to be able to do is arrange them,with a custom layout the album block or,sorry that get the gallery block gives,you multiple options this looks pretty,cool so I'm gonna go ahead and stick,with the thumbnails option and the other,thing I can do is rearrange them but,this this looks pretty good to me,and the last thing I'm going to do is,give my product a buy button so the,ability to purchase this item from my,store so you can do that with the,payment blog go ahead and draw on the,grid and the payment block I'm gonna,sell these pants for 50 bucks and these,are my navy pants I'm only making them,in a single size just for demonstration,purposes and I also want to collect the,shipping address so I know who to send,it to when they purchase we've got that,set up and now I'm going to move this,over to the right and I'm going to add,my product name and we're going to call,it fancy blue pants,and just like that I have a a a gallery,of my product a name for it and a,purchase button and that's all it takes,we publish online and just like that you,can open in the browser,interact with the gallery these pants,look pretty cool I think I'm gonna buy,them and just like that you're on your,way to selling online see you in the,next one

Shopify Theme Review: Focal by Maestrooo [2022]

hey it's klaus here i haven't done a,theme review for shopify for a while and,as there are more and more,os 2.0 online shopping 2.0,themes are coming out i thought i will,do one for you this time so let's dive,right into it,so the theme that i'm looking at this,time is the focal theme by maestro some,of you might know that the warehouse,theme of maestro is one of my favorite,themes in the shopify universe,and so i thought this new theme that,they brought out,might be a good catch to see what they,have done so let's dive in here into the,demo store first and then we go into the,back end,the demo store itself you see here's,coming in three different styles if i'm,not completely wrong it's actually it's,four different styles so basically you,can choose from different color schemes,on the demo or on the theme itself,you see it has a pop-up integrated here,directly not the best way to work with,pop-ups here obviously but depending on,how you integrate your theme you might,get rid of this anyway and might,integrate a pop-up coming from for,instance clavio or any other kind of app,now let's be on the homepage here and,see what we have here so obviously we,have a hello bar notification bar right,up here interesting here they have a,slider in there see this one is actually,quite nicely done saves a lot of space,you can put in some more information,than just one line i think that's that's,very easily done so if you have um for,instance one more than one promotion,there or you want to mix it up with free,shipping notifications something like,that you can do this here so i like that,a lot,i like that the header is very narrow,one thing that i always recommend when i,do store reviews um website audits is,having a very narrow header so you want,to bring the main content high into the,browser window above the fold so that,people do not need to scroll down to see,the main content so that's nicely done,then we have here the navigation in this,color scheme actually quite nice high,contrast white text on black background,so easy to read easy on the eyes so,that's also very well done,simply also,enough space here to put enough menu,items in here my screen resolution is,1920 1080 so you see that might even,work with smaller ones,it seems so that they have a currency,converter in um included already that's,nice,here i have contact field something i,would not recommend but that seemingly,is an option in in their um in their,theme,er search icon um again not best,practice so they have it here that's,something i would change there and,obviously the,annoying login account creation thingy,and then we have the back or the card,here and also with a contrasting color,so that's nicely done so overall i like,the header you have all the main,information in here a couple of things,that i would add would for instance like,a support email address right here and,other things but overall the header,quite easy,now then we have here our slideshow our,hero image usually i do not recomme

hey everyone jan here codingwithyen.com,so hydrogen 1.0 and oxygen are both,brand new and have just been released to,the public,and if you guys are curious right now,today we'll go over what they are why,and when to use them in the first place,and also how to practically get started,and i really hope you find some value in,this so let's have a look alright so,then let's get started by answering the,what and besides being the most common,element in the entire universe hydrogen,is also a react-based framework for,building custom shopify powered,storefronts,and assuming that you roughly know what,react is and you roughly know how,shopify works the question would be what,is a custom storefront and just to catch,everyone up here really quick the way,that shopify websites are usually,structured is that on one hand we have,the back end so that's where we manage,products pages content,we have our orders payment settings and,so forth,and on the other hand we have the front,end which is usually built by using a,theme yeah so this is like the actual,website that visitors would see,so that's where we showcase our products,and we could say that a theme is kind of,like the interface between website,visitors and then all these ecommerce,features okay now in most cases when,people are getting started this,combination of backend and then a theme,works perfectly fine but there can be,certain circumstances where a theme is,just not enough,and we will get into the why here in a,second but for now just imagine that you,would want to sell groceries through a,smart fridge,like where would you even start using a,theme in that case right doesn't make,any sense so here you would need,something custom coded namely a custom,storefront,so that's pretty much the whole concept,you have a custom place where you want,to showcase your products but you still,want to use the shopify backend features,like managing inventory orders payments,because it's like so much easier to,leverage this existing infrastructure as,opposed to building everything from,scratch,and the way you connect these two and,how you exchange data is just through,the shopify api,alright now to be fair the smart fridge,was a pretty obvious example of why,someone would need a custom storefront,and you could make the same case for,in-app purchases or in-game purchases,where using a normal theme just wouldn't,make any sense right,however in the beginning we said that,hydrogen is a react-based framework and,react-based websites,look at least somewhat similar to normal,websites you could build with a theme,and at first glance you might not even,be able to tell the difference between a,theme-based website or a react-based,website so let's talk about some of the,reasons why you might want to consider,using hydrogen in the first place and,when i think about this three different,areas or three different things,immediately come to mind,so first let's touch on theme,limitations or to be more precise,performance,i guess that'

I’ve Got a HUGE Secret Hiding Behind This Fake Office

i built a new massive secret lab that,the average person will ever find,because the only way in is through this,fake old dusty office but i'm gonna give,you guys a hint,and if you want a small taste for what's,inside well this is a tennis ball cannon,and this is my childhood hero nitro from,the tv show american gladiators,and he's gonna try and shoot me with the,tennis ball cannon from the show as i,try and not get shot the only problem is,i've made some modifications to the,cannon and it shoots tennis balls,stronger than the original like,a lot stronger,but before we see if i actually live i'd,like to introduce you to my brand new,willy wonka factory for engineering i've,been secretly designing and constructing,over the past year and a half not only,have i been making all the builds for my,youtube videos here but it's also the,birthplace for the most ambitious thing,i've ever done which i'll show you in a,few minutes it's got secret passageways,and ten thousand dollars in a glass,suitcase if you can fire a tennis ball,into the bullseye the world's longest,hot wheels track rooms that magically,reveal themselves and a handful of some,new engineering inventions that i came,up with just for the lab since i was,like eight years old i've had this dream,to design and build my own warehouse and,this is it,welcome to crunch labs so today i'm,gonna walk you through my 10 favorite,things about this place and then at the,end of the video i'll explain how you,can actually come out here to build with,me and my team for a day with that let's,jump right into number 10 which is,basically a way better version of a,fireman's pole now the best thing about,a fireman's pole is that it's more,exciting than using the stairs but other,than that they kind of suck i either do,the thing where i hit the ground too,fast and burn my hands or i do the thing,where i sort of squeak my way down and i,still burn my hands so i thought what if,you could walk off the balcony holding a,rope that ran through some pulleys and,was connected to some kind of,counterweight well that works great and,you land at the perfect speed as long as,you weigh just a little bit more than,the counterweight but unfortunately if,you weigh less you're not going to go,anywhere and if you weigh too much more,you're still going to land with a crash,if only there is a way to have a perfect,soft landing no matter what you weigh,well it turns out,there is,using the power of pneumatics this is,actually the same tube and piston we use,for the last devil's toothpaste,explosion only this time we just let the,natural restriction of the air having to,squeeze by the piston slow you down so,instead of the fireman's pull,we got the fireman's piston it's so fun,and you basically feel like a superhero,every time you use it but more,importantly it works the same no matter,what you weigh here's a family friend,who weighs half as much as i do and she,sticks the landing like a pro just the,same next up if we walk over here we
