hello everyone and welcome to on how,channel the place where every day you,learn something new,my name is annis not working for you so,if you have any tutorial requests,let me know in the comments i will be,happy to do a video for you otherwise,let's get to our tutorial today,which is how you can find out the theme,of any shopify store so for example if,you saw a shopify store and you did like,the design of it and you want to make a,similar store to it,well if that store uses a gym that's,available on the market you can actually,make a similar shopify store to it and i,will show you how you can find out the,theme of the shopify store without using,any tools or anything,and there is actually a lot of websites,that can help you do that and also a,chrome extensions on google chrome,browser they can help you to find,out the team of a shopify store but as,you know i always support the,independent way without having to be,dependent on any website or tools,because what if the website suddenly,stopped working,or the extension start asking for money,suddenly,you don't have a way to do that you can,only pay the extension,if it start asking for money or,something so the best choice is to,always do that without depending on any,tools or anything and they will show you,how you can find that the theme of the,shopify store,just from the code of the website and,without any more checking,let's get to it just like i did in my,previous video,i will use google search queries to find,out shopify stores on google search,engine,and we will do demonstration on it so,let's just do that let's just type in in,search engine,in text two dots and two quotation marks,and between the two quotation marks i,will type in,powered by shopify and keep in mind that,i will do this just to find a random,shopify store to do demonstration on,and after that i will add another query,which is in text two dots and two,quotation marks again and between them,i will type in a keyword and actually i,will use the same one as my previous,video which is,women's bag and hit enter and as you can,see all the search results here,are shopify stores so let's just go for,the second one here to do demonstration,on it,so as you can see this is the shopify,store that's still in bags to make sure,it's working actually on shopify let's,just scroll down the bottom page and as,you can see here,is powered by shopify so right now we,know that the shop,is using shopify and the next step to,figure out the name of the team that's,using on this website,and to do that simply right click on the,page and after that click on view page,source option right here,and it will open up this tab right here,with a punch of code on it,and i know it looks complicated no,worries will not look at the code or,anything,simply hit ctrl f if you are on windows,i'm only mac so i'm going to,click on command f and you should see,this prompt at the top right corner of,the browser,and after that simply type in shopify,dot,team just like you see

do you want to know how to figure out,what theme and other Shopify stores,using within five seconds I'm gonna show,you how to do that hey guys welcome back,I'm Zach and if you're new to the,channel learn all the secrets of the,e-commerce world simply by subscribing,to my channel and hitting that little,Bell icon so you don't miss anything and,today I'm bringing you a bit of a,shorter more simple video because as,you've noticed I'm not in my normal,apartment I'm actually back home because,it's spring break and so I'm living it,up back home and I'm actually going up,to Oklahoma so I'm gonna have a few,videos film there but yeah we're just in,a little bit of a different setting,shouldn't affect anything we're still,gonna have a good time I got a lot of,videos planned so real quick what I'm,just gonna show you guys is how to,quickly find out what theme a Shopify,store is using if they are using a theme,that has a name and I'll show you what I,mean by that so basically I have three,stores right here a sugar and cotton,gecko and possum Couture these are just,some websites that I found and like past,videos and I'm just gonna show you how,to quickly find what theme they're using,it's super super simple so what you do,need is you need Google Chrome okay and,this will allow you to right-click and,have this inspect element feature right,here okay so this is what you need so,all that you're gonna do is right-click,anywhere on the page it doesn't really,matter and just go to inspect and this,is for inspect element so as you can see,it'll bring up this little thing over,here and basically this shows the source,code of the page and basically all that,you're going to be doing is searching,for one specific part of this and so you,don't have to drag through and just look,for the thing know what you can just do,is make sure you click within this box,hit ctrl F and then what this is gonna,do is bring up a little search bar so,all did you have to do within the search,bar is type theme okay,and boom this actually came up right,here so as you can see it came up with,the highlighted theme a colon and then,copy of Brooklyn so that means sugar and,cotton is using the theme Brooklyn and,it'll show different indicators for this,but you'll get a really good feel for,actually what the theme is out of the,jumbled mess of,you're gonna be seeing here like if you,don't understand HTML or CSS it can be a,little bit confusing but pretty much,it's just themed : copy of Brooklyn so I,have the two other stores to show you,some other examples of what you can,possibly see so that's really it just,real quick once again you go to inspect,control F type theme and it'll come up,and they're there maybe theme there's,others theme mentioned like 9 other,times in here it might come up with one,of these later ones just keep hitting it,until oh here we go,clothing store 21 you say you just keep,hitting it until you get to this section,right here so theme copy of Brooklyn,right that's very easy so

all right guys so in this video i'm,going to be showing you how you can go,ahead and,customize your debut theme within,shopify so debut theme,is the theme that all shopify stores,start out with,by default when you go ahead and start a,shopify store and if you haven't already,opened your shopify store yet you can,start your 14 day free trial by clicking,the first link in the description,so i figured i'd make this video because,debut theme,is one of the most commonly used themes,because it's the one that all stores,start out with and the view theme,actually looks,really good so right here we can see,that this is what debut theme looks like,when it's first installed with,absolutely nothing filled out,so we can see that we have where our,logo should be,we have a big header right here with,some text we have an image here,we have three images with text below,here we have,a uh empty collection and we have,another,um header type image right here another,wallpaper image,we have some testimonials and we have,three images down here,and then we have the footer so,right now we have a nice little template,but it's blank,so if you're looking to go ahead and,fill out,your um store using debut theme,the first thing you're going to want to,make sure you have is,a few key things so i'm going to bring,up a notepad and just make sure,because before you go ahead and start,the design process you're going to need,a couple things so the first one is,going to be a logo,so i assume you already have a logo at,this point if you're ready to start your,store design but if not,then make sure you get a logo first,because everything else is going to be,based around the logo,and then we're going to have a color,scheme selected,and normally this color scheme is going,to,be derived from colors from your logo,and typically,you're going to use one to two colors,to base your entire store around and,like i said these colors will be derived,from the logo and the next thing we're,going to need,is a couple wallpaper photos,so we can see we're going to need some,photos to go ahead and put back here in,this header,we need some photos to put back here and,this header as well,so if you have any large photos related,to your business,go ahead and upload them to your,computer or,put them all in one folder so we can go,ahead and,use them as backgrounds here and if you,don't you can use,different sites such as pixabay,to find free stock images that you can,go ahead and use,so let's just type in something like,fishing,so if you had a store related to fishing,you could go ahead and just,look for different stock photos here,or maybe you have something related to,yoga,or fitness you can type in a lot,of different niches depending on what,your store is based around,and you can use some of these wallpapers,to go ahead and put back here,now obviously i do think it's better if,you have your own,custom photos but uh you know not,everyone's gonna have that starting out,so if you don't you can go ahead and us

Globe again in today's video we're going,to speak about Shopify CLI 3.6 3.2,whatever you want to call it and before,we get started I just want you to know,that I have tried it I have give it a,shot and it's really awesome and you,will see we will get to all the features,in a second so bear with me and you will,also need to know that the old version,will no longer be supported until uh,like I think it's 31st May of next year,and usually some people still use 10K,because well some Futures teamkit has,some advantage over the old CLI version,especially for team development but now,with 3.x it's really you will see that I,think everyone will make great to 3.6,once once I show these Futures so yeah,I'm really really excited because you,will see all the features in this in a,second,but before we get started with the code,you will actually need to migrate to the,newest version,and to migrate they have if you click,Shopify CRI in the documentation they,have a really easy migration guide and,especially if you are on Mac since,Michael you have to do if you have,installed it with Homebrew all you have,to do is really click home brew upgrade,Shopify CLI if you have never installed,Shopify CLI in the first place all you,have to do is just Brew I think add,Shopify CLI and it will go to it will,install the latest version which is,um which is 3.22 for me so yeah,if you are on other uh machines like,Linux or revi or,excuse me or Windows you probably have,installed it with Gem and if you have to,if you had installed it with gem you,need to uninstall the old implementation,and install the new the new,implementation using uh using npm or,yarn or pnpm whatever you like since,it's now hosted on npm because it's a,typescript package it's a node package,and it's no longer a ruby package since,the newest version is actually,built using a typescript the old version,is using Ruby the newest version if you,if we check the GitHub you will see it's,Rewritten in typescript it's not fully,Rewritten in typescript it's actually a,wrapper especially for the teams part,it's a wrapper over the typescript,implementation over the old Rabbi,implementation sorry so yeah,uh now all you have to do is just click,here on global ads at Shopify and it,will add Shopify you will need to,install the core package which is,shopify.cr day and then install the,plugin yeah it's a plugin uh you will,see how the Shopify team commands all,are a plugin it's actually a plugin that,is added to the core CLI to support,Shopify team Commons so now if I,actually once you do that you will have,the latest version,and once you do that,um you can also still use the old,version of the Shopify CLI uh but you,will have to call it to change the pads,especially if you are if you have,installed it with Homebrew you will have,to change the naming using the pads like,like we do if you are if you're ever,used python for example we have python 2,and python for python 3. that's that's,reminds me of that,um the old implementat

let's be honest your store design,matters and if you have a really ugly,site people are just going to leave and,they're not going to purchase from you,so in this video i'm going to show you,exactly how to customize,your shopify store design,as soon as someone comes to your site,they only have about seven,seconds before they decide if they want,to look longer on your site or,leave so those seven seconds really,matter and design,matters when it comes to that you want,to make sure that your site is,eye-catching,and it really speaks to your ideal,customer so,how do you do this you really need to,pick out your shopify,theme and make sure that it works based,on what kind of,imagery you have if you have a lot of,really great big images,then pick a theme that's going to,highlight those but if you don't have a,lot of great product shots,then you want to make sure that you pick,a theme that's not going to be heavily,reliant on that,once you've chosen your shopify theme,then it's time to,customize it and this is where it's,important to create different assets,choose your fonts and colors,to make sure that it's appealing for,your ideal customer,so this is super important but a lot of,times people kind of overlook the design,step so i'm going to show you really,quickly how to,actually customize your design in the,back end of shopify for both your home,page,collection page and product page so to,get here you're going to click on,online store and then you'll see themes,there from the list,so now that we are on the themes page,you can see your live theme here,this is what your customers are actually,seeing whenever they come to your site,as well as your online store speed we've,done another video on how to speed up,your site so i will,link that in the description below and,in the info cards above as well,and you can also see the theme library,so you can,upload your theme if you've purchased it,somewhere else or you can explore the,different,theme options available so for example,if you click on,explore free themes you'll actually see,a pop-up of all of the different free,themes that are available here,the one problem with this is if you,click into it you can't really see,how the site overall looks as well as,how it looks on mobile you can just kind,of see the different styling aspects,so what i do recommend that you do is,actually visit the theme,store so if we just click on this here,you can see,the full theme store and this is both,free,and paid themes so what i like to do,whenever i'm trying to decide on a theme,for a shopify store,is i'll actually go to all themes up,here at the top,and then you can see the sidebar here of,sorting options so you can actually sort,through,and you can see you know based on you,just want to see,themes that are just for single products,so if you click on that,then it shows you just that product or,specifications on the right hand side so,you can better narrow down what kind of,theme that it is that you are looking,for,so if we u
