hello i am kelly,hi i'm rhian and we are,doing stored hair downs so today we are,looking at the website 3gemstea.com,very on brand for us yes have to look at,tea,so the way these tear downs works we're,just going to go,page by page through the site and point,out what we like,what we think could be better and just,just general thoughts as you're,you know looking to make some changes to,your own website,so first thing that we should probably,talk about is this pop-up,yeah i know you have thoughts about it,it just took about,five to ten seconds to show up well so,it comes up from the bottom yep i don't,hate that,and also it's google compliant because,google says,that if you have a pop-up that like,comes up it's called interstitial,because fancy words but if it comes up,and it blocks your,yours your field of view that's a,challenge and it prohibits crawl,but if it's a bottom one and slides up,i'm actually okay with it,cool from a google perspective from a,personal perspective i still don't,really like it but,you just don't like pop-ups in general,i'm just kind of anti but i know there's,like a purpose for them,right so i think the copy could use a,little bit of work stay in the loop is,pretty big,get 10 off your order very clear but,what what am i actually going to receive,what does it mean to stay in the loop,yeah that's what i want to know so,something even like don't forget to,drink your tea,or sip the tea,is it the tea yes as a coffee on our,website but,something that makes me want to engage,with you and even the enter your email,can be something different,yeah all right i'm going to close this,out so,one of the things we always want to know,immediately upon arriving on the website,is what is it what are they selling,yes pretty clear that this,store is selling tea yes very clear,i love the photography i think it's a,really fun,fun image to use i enjoy it i like the,bright colors,and i like that copy that says some,storytelling in action,tea breaks made easy okay speaking of,copy,we're currently experiencing usps,shipping delays thank you for your,patience,i love that especially as we move into,holiday shopping season and black friday,cyber monday,they're sorry i keep getting distracted,by this review that says duck,oolong,no idea what that means i don't know but,it's five stars,it's five stars hey that's what matters,um,no but it's really important to be,transparent about what your shipping is,going to be like or else your customers,can be,you know upset we all know tensions are,high at the moment,in general so be very clear about that i,also love the free shipping component so,you know,exactly what you're going how do how do,we get free shipping that definitely,helps with conversion rates,okay scrolling down we go,right into customer reviews,i think having a review section is great,i don't think it should be the first,thing you see on the site,why i think you should introduce the,brand first,let people build trust by knowing who,you are,before y

Shopify Tutorial - Product Images - Best practices for appearance and load times

hi everybody quick tutorial today on,product images in Shopify it's important,to have some things set up before you,start launching into putting all kinds,of product photos on your page and let,me go through a few of the things that,you want to think about so this is a,collection page and my website Goodlife,t-dot-com as you can see the products,here are relatively uniform and that's,not by accident that was through,planning I'm using a square format here,with the white background on my picture,so that it blends together on the page,I like happen to like this because it,gives a nice clean look but you can see,here that this picture was not shot so,as nicely as the other ones as these are,nice and smooth they so slightly smaller,than this one but it's negligible so I'm,going to let it slide,but one of the things you want to decide,is before you get going is your aspect,ratio your aspect ratio is the,dimensions that are from this way to,this way height and width height and,width of the pictures lengthen width of,the pictures so I'm using a square,picture so it's a one to one aspect,ratio I also like to use about 350 to,450 dpi those are pixels 450 being the,high side on the pixels the more pixels,the larger the file the larger the file,the longer the load time the longer the,load time the more likely your customers,are going to click away from your page,so now that we're especially in a mobile,environment you can get away with,smaller pictures but just keep in mind,that the pictures have to be large,enough to appear nicely on a desktop so,it's kind of a fine balance I'm finding,that 350 to 450 pixels is about the,right size on a one to one aspect ratio,so whatever you do pick your aspect,ratio and stick to it because you don't,want to have pictures that are wide and,narrow and and a jumble of things it,won't,render nicely on your collection page,and also decide what you're going to do,with your colors for the background I,chose white on white to kind of give,this nice clean look that might not be,what you want to do so having said that,let me just go over here to show you,what the product actually looks like,this is picture is 350 dpi and it's,relatively clear unfortunately tea is a,mumbo-jumbo of greens and browns so,there's not much to see but it does give,you an idea that these are loosely teas,and the pictures relatively is clear,enough for most people to to get an idea,what the tea is now here's the product,page so to get to the product page you,on the sidebar menu you pick products,and then you type in the product you're,trying to find use the magnifying hit,enter and your product will come up and,once it comes up click it and you will,get a product page similar to this so to,add the image you go to add images here,and you can pick an image from one of,your files I happen to use Google Google,Drive so I got lots of files here,they're not rendering quickly but you,get the idea the files will populate,here and you pick a file and that'll be,you

Tips on How to Embed Product Photos on Shopify

hi this is Robert O'Brien again here i'm,going to review with you the importance,of choosing the right size pictures by,might i mean by sighs I mean aspect,ratio the dimensions of your picture for,Shopify it's important in that your,pages will look your pictures on their,pages will look uniform across your,website nothing like opening a,collections page and having a jumble of,picture sizes it's not organized it,looks very unprofessional and it's very,disturbing to the visitor the visitor,will click awake rapidly if it sees that,it's not organized nicely so I'm going,to show you a very simple tool to do,this today it's called Pixlr Express,type in p.i XLR calm / Express and go to,the Browse button down here and open,your file with the picture that you're,going to use for your product hopefully,you've taken some professional pictures,and you've got some pictures so I'm,going to go ahead and move to this tab,here and show you a picture that I took,so this is taken with a nicer camera you,don't always have to use a nice camera,you can use your phone as well but when,you use different types of equipment to,take your pictures to capture your,images the layout of the picture is,going to be different each time so you,want to crop your pictures in a way and,be consistent when I say crop your,pictures you mean like an aspect ratio,of one to one or something like four to,three so you go to the adjust button,down here push the crap button and then,it'll give you all these choices here,this is the one to one ratio there's 5,for 16 9 3243 whichever one you use,please just be consistent so that it's a,pleasing to the eye on your website I,like to use one to one most of my,pictures fit nicely this way once you,get the click the,crop style you like you can always,Center the image up and down if there's,too much room on one side you can always,do this and make it smaller capture,exactly where you want I'm going to just,go ahead and move set that toward the,middle of the picture so that's nice and,balanced and hit apply button now this,picture is still rather large it's a,heavy picture in terms of megabytes so,to make it load faster and Shopify I'm,going to resize the photo to a smaller,photo size now having a light weight,picture is important for your web,viewing experience if it takes forever,to pictures to load up people are going,to click away from your website so i,always use a ratio of i'm going to,resize my pictures you see that it's,right now 1957 by 1957 this is going to,be a large picture and it doesn't need,to be that large for the website so i'm,going to go ahead and parse this down,make this 400 by 400 just keep this,button here don't touch this button it,keeps these numbers exactly the same and,what this is going to do is it's going,to give you a smaller picture with the,good resolution that's going to load,fast so i'm going to hit the apply,button and you notice that it looks,smaller on the screen here don't worry,about that that's just a letting you

[Day 10] Shopify A to Z - $5 A Day Facebook Ads Method and Training!

How to insert a Shopify Buy Now button into a blog post

hi Katie its Rob I want you to do me a,project do a project for me recently I,was looking at my Google Analytics and I,noticed that my top 30 pages out of the,top 50 30 pages out of my top 50 pages,were blog articles and and I also,noticed that I am not capitalizing money,revenue from these pages so I recently,did an experiment on this article called,Sun tea don't do it and I added what's,called a buy button to the blog article,and it generated lo and behold $34.99,which means I sold an iced tea jug off,of it so I'd like to continue to do this,with my other blog articles and this is,the project that I'm asking you to do so,I just want to show you what the article,the blog article looks like as you can,see Britt wrote this last summer for us,it's about iced tea not putting it in,the Sun and it's very it's a great,performing article I think it's the,first in Google search right now and,there's and then there's an embedded,link here to purchase the iced tea,picture but you know many people don't,see that small link and they disregard,it and they go away from the page but by,adding the Buy button which is this down,here people are able to purchase this,right on the page making one less step,for them to purchase this iced tea,button and also to make it relevant to,them I also added this extra line of,text here to explain what this is so the,project is for you to do this line and,put the HTML code in the blog article so,that the Buy button appears on it and to,do this you go to your admin panel then,you hit the Buy button under sales,channels if it doesn't appear you can,always push this view all channels and,then you push the select product button,right here right at the top and that,will generate a pop-up window and go,ahead and type in what you're looking,for which is in this case for this,blog article we're gonna put the fifty,ounce glass ice tea picture and it will,then you should be able to find it you,select it select the product and the,next page that will appear will be your,Buy button your Buy button there's three,different templates on this you don't,need to do anything here because it's,all pre-selected go ahead and then hit,the generate code button which will then,generate this embed code this is HTML so,you simply push this button copy it and,then go to the blog article and paste it,in so here's the blog article and as you,can see it's it looks like this and,don't forget the HTML button is all the,way right there but before we go ahead,and put the article the embed button,code in there I'm going to go ahead and,put this extra line in here that says,purchase the safer iced tea pitcher so,I'm gonna go ahead and write that and,purchase purchase the safer whoops,safer iced tea pitcher and then I'm,gonna highlight this just to give it,some relevance to what the item that,we're selling and I'm going to go up to,the top here and I'm going to make this,bold and I'm going to attach a heading,h3 now this will we'll take that and,make it like look l

HOW TO MAKE WHIPPED BODY BUTTER | LAUNCH DAY 2021

hi guys welcome back to my channel so in,today's video i'm going to show you how,i make my body butters,after i have melted down and cooled down,my butters and oils in the freezer it is,time for me to whip them up i normally,use my stand mixer but since i was just,making one body butter,um i just decided to use my hand mixer,and i'm giving that a good mix it took,about 15 minutes to get the perfect,consistency that i was looking for after,i blended it down and it was to my,liking it is now time to separate the,body butters,so the body butter that i'm making today,is our black girl magic body butter and,this is probably my favorite body butter,to make,in order to make this body butter i do,have to section everything out into four,equal parts because our black girl magic,body butter is four different colors,so once i've sectioned everything out,and it'll be time to add the fragrance,and the coloring,baby,so our black girl magic body butter is,pink sugar scented and to me this scent,smells like pink cotton candy i think,it's the perfect scent for this body,butter but after i've added the,fragrance oils it is now time to add our,skin safe mica powder and give all of,that a really good mix,like,is,me,oh,i used to take myself out on dates,open my own damn doors pay for,everything on my plane sometimes i'd,even get the steak cause i gotta like,that i always have my own bag never,needed no man to rely on got two good,shoulders to cry on,and i couldn't tell at the time but i,was my own soulmate,it's like i forgot i was fine let you,treat me any kind of way you know i'm,free you gotta celebrate,when i love,so now that all of the colors have been,combined it is now time to spread them,along this press and seal paper,so that they can be piped um i like to,use this preston seal wrap paper that i,got from walmart i find this to be the,easiest and most effective way,especially when i'm working with more,than two colors,um so i'm just going to spread this,along the press and feel paper and then,i am going to smooth all of the colors,out,the reason why i like to smooth it out,like you're seeing here is i like to,make sure there are no air bubbles and,there's even color distribution as i,start to pipe them in the container,i won't be afraid to,if i gotta choose me i gotta do what i,gotta do,oh,vacations,so now that i am done spreading all the,colors out it is now time to put it in,the piping bag,um you really want to make sure you're,taking your time to,wrap the color around in the bag because,this part will literally make or break,all your hard work you know so,definitely make sure none of the,wrapping paper is wrapped up,all in between the colors or it'll just,be a disaster,so now i just put it all into my piping,bag and it is now time to pipe which is,my favorite part,so i'm gonna shut up and let you guys,watch how i pike,i know someone is going to ask me why am,i smacking the jars on the counter it's,just to make sure i get out all of the,air bubbles and so yo

morning,good morning everyone,my name is nancy shuttleworth,i'm a business advisor with vermont,small business development center,we commonly refer to,referred to as the sbdc and i'm an,advisor in southwestern vermont,we have,advisors that cover the,whole state from the massachusetts,border up to the northeast kingdom,so the the,webinar today is,the basics of selling products online so,this is not um it's just the basics a,high level overview of some of the,things that you can do if you have,products or services that you want to,sell online,promote online this is not a deep dive,into any of these platforms it's just to,bring a familiarity to people,um small businesses because i find that,you know most of the time,small business owners are not familiar,with these products and i work i work,pretty exclusively with just small,businesses,so one of the questions i get very,frequently is who does sbdc work with,and of course we work with everyone,right so we work with people that are,starting businesses,uh we work with people that have,existing businesses that are looking for,um growth strategies marketing,opportunities,we work with businesses that are,expanding whether it's a physical,expansion,uh or a um,they're looking to add a new product or,service to what they already have and,they want to know how that's going to,impact,their their whole business um from a,financial perspective,i work with a lot of people that are,buying businesses and we also work with,the college and student entrepreneurs,because in in college many students,before they even get out of college our,work are are starting businesses or even,thinking about starting businesses,so i always have this slide in my,webinars online mark ignoring online,marketing is like opening a business but,not telling anyone so of course you not,open a business and not telling anyone,and not tell anyone so um you know,there's there's so many ways to promote,your your business online,that are either free or,uh no costs so there's there's so many,different things that you can do so and,and small businesses should really take,advantage of that um there is no magic,bullet here no silver bullet um some of,these some of these things take time or,all of them take time and effort and,there's a learning curve,and it's it really sort of comes down to,either for small business owners that,don't have a lot of resources either,taking the time,to to learn it yourself or,or outsourcing it to somebody who can do,it for you,uh but you know we but all small,businesses need to take advantage of,what's out there for online,promotion,so what is e-commerce um the the,technical definitions it's just buying,and selling goods and services or,transmitting funds basically over the,internet so it could be a business to,business it could be business to,consumer it could be consumer consumer,or it could be consumer to business,um,i'd like to start right off by talking,about what americans look for in an,online store or even online
