How To Edit the Homepage on Expanse Theme Shopify

in this video i'm going to show you how,to modify and edit the home page,for the shopify expanse theme this is a,paid theme,available on the shopify app store and,other places online i'm going to show,you how to edit this banner,the navigation here top header,these items here scrolling down your,messaging,how to change all of this select it,testimonials footer etc okay so the,first thing we're going to do,is we're going to log in to the shopify,admin,i'm already logged in so it's going to,take me right in,okay so you're going to see some things,you may see these where it says,customize theme,add domain name etc we're going to go,ahead and click on online store,we're not going to worry about any of,these other items right now,we're just going to go to online store,if at any time during the time that i'm,actually working on this,if i wanted to preview this what i,usually do is i'll keep,one uh window open here like this and,then i'll go ahead,and select customize i right click on it,and open it up in a new tab,just so i have access to come back to,this section and i have to go back and,forth you know uh to change things,so uh right now i'm gonna go ahead and,just keep the website here,now if we look at this,expanse was already installed,and we've configured it we've actually,made these banners,made the images,jeez pms,okay so now we've logged in we actually,clicked on the customizer,and we're in the back and if you notice,over here on the right hand side,we have some things we can do some quick,keyboard shortcuts and things like that,you can mess around with that later,if we scroll down on the center here,you'll see,your website okay now um if you,look up here you have homepage products,collections we'll get into this later,but you can actually edit these directly,as well there's only a couple of options,available for each one,um the only page that has this like,wysiwyg,editor is the home page so the internal,pages do not,right so that's why you either need to,pick a theme that you like that has a,cool,you know collection page a cool product,page things like that,or pick a theme generic theme and then,add to it with code,or apps okay a cool thing about shopify,is it does have this ability right here,to go ahead and click on and look at how,your website would look into mobile,so you can go ahead and look at that,while you're actually playing around,with it click on desktop and if you,click on full screen,it gets rid of all the menus together so,we're gonna go back to desktop,and this announcement bar here so this,announcement bar at the top we go ahead,and click on that,and shopify just changed the way it has,this whole it's called online 2.0,so now they have this whole new backend,you're going to want to click on the,actual,arrows now to do the drop downs well we,have messages,here that actually rotate for this,particular theme,so if you look at it when i click on,these they'll actually show up on the,right hand side here,so if you notice i can act

Shopify Motion Theme: A Complete Reviews and Walkthrough

okay so,here we have the shopify motion theme,and we've gone for the classic,view so you can see we have a,great use of visual storytelling,straight away,and bold text so this theme is really,about,showing off your brand through images,and video so you can see right at the,top,we've got it's great simple drop down,menu,you can see that and we scroll down,you can introduce a little about your,brand here then we have,top product picks here,great thing you see you hover over the,image and we change the image here,now one of the really cool things about,this theme is that you can click on this,one,quick view and then you see you have a,quick summary of the products,which is uh without having to leave the,home page which is really,useful quick way to browse,okay so we can have a look at that this,is very,simple you can add to cart here,you can either click the cross so we can,just click off here,okay so we scroll down a bit further we,have here we're showing off,a collection so we can have either a,seasonal collection,or just a individual collection like,we have here show tops sure women's,clothes,this is a really great theme for fashion,stores,clothes stores although you could use it,for any store really but,very good for fashion stores okay so we,have some more,very bold image here this isn't actually,video content this is actually just,videos that are being pulled out,to make it look as if it's more,in motion which is already if you if you,don't have the,time or perhaps the money to produce,high quality video content because it,does take time,then this is a really simple way to make,your store feel more alive,so definitely consider that go down here,we have support for,gift cards um you could probably change,this to highlight another product or,collection but they've chosen to,show off the gift cards this is a new,feature,uh well an old feature but one that is,now available,for all shopify plans,so that's you can get that as a gift,come down a bit more we have another,great example,of our using imagery kind of very bold,to show off the different collections,then we go down here we have uh another,uh highlighting more products we can see,again you hover over,and we're changing the image we have the,quick view again have different color,variations down here,let's go back okay,and then this one great use of,just a short video to show the product,in a bit more detail,um definitely something that you could,take some inspiration from,okay different sizes here,nice bold call to action so you can see,this,theme really even on the home page we're,already really,have so much potential to highlight,products collections,and really show off some detail through,uh visual,uh visual input i have again here so,this is a blog article,you can put here great picture,we go down we have a bit more from this,this is great there's some big bold map,to um give a bit more context if you,have a brick and mortar stores,then that's great scrolling down to the,footer we have,ro

Setting up "Local Shopify Theme" from Krown Themes

from crown themes,and in this video tutorial i want to,show you how to get started with our,brand new local theme,here i've just installed the theme,and i want to,go and customize it so this is what you,see when you,download our theme,and,start to work with it,first of all i want to take you a bit,through the theme settings,we have some general,settings for font families,some options for base size in case you,want to decrease or increase your phone,size also based on the fonts that you're,using,some options for line height,buttons font high what,weight,and also a dedicated area for changing,the menu size,and the font,height,second you have the color options,this theme as you can see is very,versatile you can change a lot of colors,the entire skin color scheme can be,changed you have,separate colors for,header,you have,separate colors for the body,as you can see and you have separate,colors for the cards now the cards,are,all these,boxed sections or blocks which have,their own color scheme,and,something that you might want to take,into consideration is that all the cards,can be,overwritten in terms of colors,except the product cards,so these are,default,default cards default colors,for example here you can see that these,are already,designed in a different way with,different colors and lastly we have the,footer,which,has a,new color set,in the layout,you can change the vertical space,between sections again this is also a,base vertical space because the theme,will change it based on different fonts,screen sizes,and the horizontal space between,elements in multi columns layout such as,featured collections,promotion cards and everywhere where you,have a multi-column layout,borders you can play with the border,with a card border,radius for example let's say i want to,make a,no radius and,really big,width,i'm changing this,also for the buttons you can change the,radius and for the forms you can change,the radius and the width of these are,the three,border settings,again for custom cards you will be able,to,override the border as you can see here,and completely hide it via a new setting,now on to the,product cards the product cards,will,affect the layout of any product grid so,for this,so you can see this better let's go to,the collections page template,so here we could see,all the cards uh,so we can play with the media aspect,ratio whether to be natural as you,upload it or square,or tall,you can change the text alignment,you can change the title size if you,have,long product,titles you can choose to show the second,media on hover,as you can see okay and then at the end,you can play with custom product badges,and of course first,the regular badges which are sold out,and,discount which you can change to be,either as a percentage or a text and,change its color,okay,then you have a few unique badges so,you can set them up like,this you have three different unique,badges you first write the text and then,the tag and then the color which will be,used,so here

California Shopify Theme Review

hey guys welcome to shopping on my name,is Jeremy shred and today i'm with my,beautiful wife taken and today we are,actually reviewing we've got a theme,called California California California,is our penal display right template that,works great on mobile and tablet device,oh and everything's moving to mobile and,tablet so it's always good to have,something that's compatible exactly and,this is developed by a company with very,cool name small victories I like the,name we do like small victories thanks,aunt Lee we're trying to not to go for,big victories anymore because we end up,losing anyway so it costs for cool,styles without California Carter maps,Sundays and Kent you can do and these,are funny one because we made this,review before on the hard drive died,yeah it did so we're redoing our review,exciting and you fell in love with can't,yet does wife online feel like love it,kentia and sorry if we can we click on,it with a bootlegger net because I think,it's so pretty but then you realize is,pretty because why it's pretty because,it's covered in plants and I tend to,look at things without looking past the,superficial prettiness of something,exactly so here we have a county and,Kenya is one of the parts of the otha,California style so before we do this,let's go back a little bit and let's,talk about the different styles that we,have we have California Carter maps,Sundays and Kent yeah right yep now,let's look at candy for two seconds and,originally you fall in love with the,holiday of the images I did I love the,big image at the top I love the fact,that it's got plants all over it so that,works really well I like the simplicity,of the gallery style of images yeah,actually is a pretty cool team and he's,actually very simple to see it any worse,kind of like like a gallery like a like,an art gallery very easy to understand,and this kind of thing will adapt to so,many different stores out there that's a,and I love simple Thames things that are,easy to navigate this one is one of the,easiest themes are there now here is one,of the parts that we have like a small,issue I have an issue with these and is,the way the images are displaying on the,left side and it kind of drives me crazy,how much space we are not taking,advantage I'm a guy that wants to use,all the space space what about you do,you you mind this or not well I like the,gallery images on the side there that,scroll up on the left but you do need a,lot of content there to be able to bulk,the pager because there is a lot of,white space that's not being used,exactly so overall I mean is it's pretty,funny because sometimes you get great,collections where you can see all the,products like in this case but some,things may not give you what you need,when you're actually seeing the product,so this is kenya let's have a quick look,at oopsie let's go and have a look at,the original one this is California they,look all of them they look pretty,similar this for styles once again for,one hundred eighty dol

Designing A Shopify Homepage [Brooklyn Theme]

hey guys it's free and today I'm gonna,show you how I designed this homepage on,Shopify's most popular free theme,Brooklyn back when I was learning how to,do drop shipping I would always see,Brooklyn being used and it looks really,clean and super simple to use this,homepage is really designed to tell a,story and introduce product so if,there's a way to make this free theme,look incredible then that's what I'm,gonna try to do so let's dive right into,it one of the first things that I do,when I get a home page is just delete,all the sections because I want to start,you know completely clean most people,who use Brooklyn which is a lot of,Shopify stores they're probably going to,use the template that was there by,default so if I want to look a little,bit different then I should probably,just create whatever I want that best,tells my story here we have the home,page here this page is looking pretty,pretty buttery a better basics better,price the thing with your heading guys,is whenever you write copy especially,that's when it's gonna be the first,thing people see you need to introduce,the product and you need to be clear,about what you're selling,if not then people aren't gonna,understand immediately and they have a,way higher chance of bouncing but that's,pretty much it it's very clean I only,have one I don't like doing the whole,auto-rotate I think it's distracting the,next section is rich text it's just an,area for you to include some copy here,is where I want to start speaking to,that customer I'm trying to reel them in,for people this doesn't speak to you,that's fine I don't expect this copy to,speak to most people and we started,Sundays to Mondays as a tribute for one,particular type of man that friend who,wears a basic t-shirt every day in the,same color for various reasons that's us,and we come in all shapes and sizes,we're tall and lanky short and broad,with white horses and slim waists that,sounds kind of weird now reading it,that's kind of the idea is like Akili,States examples the people and it can,like kind of relate to you maybe some,insecurities that people might have here,are the bestsellers options I mean all I,did was add a collection,to it right around here if you get,people to read this and then continue,scrolling they're gonna be probably,interested in what you sell already at,least that's how I my brain thinks it's,really good to show them your heaviest,hitters if there's something that you,know sells well and catches the eye put,it here because it'll speak lengths but,this is just saying you know your here's,what here's what we're selling the next,part is a slideshow we do have these,testimonials here and I just found these,stock images on unsplash I believe or,maybe I even found them on canva it's,pretty much just like a little review,that I wrote for myself and my idea is I,would click on this it doesn't lead to,anything now but I could click on this,and see what kevin l bought and then see,his his fit if you go to the next pa
