Shopify Just Released 2 NEW FREE O.S 2.0 Themes! (Studio & Taste)

shopify has released two new free online,store 2.0 themes and in today's video we,are going to take a look at them,together,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video,alright so the first theme is taste,let's take a look,now,so,taste has a very simple design but i see,a lot of potential with this theme,immediately you are either going to love,or hate the font but remember shopify,has made it really easy for anyone at,any skill level to change these things,so if you dislike the font or the lack,of color don't let it prevent you from,giving the theme a try whenever i'm,looking at a theme i tend to look at the,structure and the way that things are,set up if i like the bones of it i go,for it because fonts and colors can be,easily changed they've made the products,the star of this theme which i like,because ultimately that is the goal to,sell product so if the way that this,theme is set up would be well suited for,your product i definitely encourage you,to give it a try,the next theme is studio let's take a,look,i really like that shopify is creating,these different types of themes i don't,know that i've ever seen one made,specifically for artists before if you,are in the drop shipping category i,think this theme would be really great,for print on demand stores i like the,visual interest this theme has there are,pops of color throughout the theme and,the image with text areas are really,nicely designed i especially like the,way that this theme looks on your phone,you'll notice that the home page,slideshow has a decent amount of height,and width to it which is really nice to,see because normally when you see a,slideshow on mobile it's downsized so,much that it loses its impact so i like,the way that this one is designed,because this theme has a main accent,color it would make it really easy for,you to just swap out that blue color for,a color that you have in your logo to,make this theme look like it was custom,designed just for you,so,really exciting to see shopify come out,with more and more 2.0 themes let me,know in the comments what your thoughts,are on taste and studio did you like,them hate them out of the two which one,was your favorite,if you like this video and want to see,more content like this you can let me,know by giving this video a thumbs up or,leave me a comment down below and if you,haven't already make sure to subscribe,we post a lot of time sensitive content,such as winning products and updates,that affect you so turning on,notifications for this channel will let,you know as soon as we upload

Shopify Dawn Theme Customization - Dawn Theme Design Tutorial (OS 2.0)

all right what's up guys this is jake in,this video i'm going to be showing you,how you can go ahead and customize and,build a store using the dawn theme with,shopify so dawn is the new default theme,whenever you set up a shopify store so,we're gonna go ahead and take a look at,how you can,set it up to make your store look good,so first thing you need to do if you,don't already have a store you can go,ahead and click the first link in the,description,and you'll be taken to this page right,here and you can just enter your email,address and go ahead and start your free,trial and we can go ahead and get,started setting up your store,so once you've went ahead and started,your trial,you're going to be taken to the back end,of the store right here and we can see,that by default the current theme is,going to be dawn so what we're going to,go ahead and do first is take a look at,the base template of this theme and then,we're actually going to start building,it out so i'm going to come over here to,actions and click on preview and now we,can go ahead and take a look at the base,skeleton that dawn provides us so we can,see here that we have a little,announcement bar up top we have our logo,we have our menu and we have the cart,and search icon we have a nice header,wallpaper right here along with a call,to action right here,we have another little,call to action with some information,right here we have,four featured products right here in,this section,and then we have a media collage that,includes a video,a collection and a product and then we,have a video section down here and then,we have a multi-column section which,includes three different text sections,right here and then we have the footer,so this is how dawn looks out of the box,and we're going to do a couple small,changes to it but mostly we're going to,be,building out this store using the base,skeleton of the theme to keep things as,simple as possible so with that said,we're going to go ahead and come back,over here and really quickly we're going,to take a look at the things you're,going to need to go ahead and build out,your store using this theme,so the first thing you're going to need,is a logo if you don't already have a,logo for your business or your brand you,can make one over here at logomaker.com,or you can come over here to fiverr.com,and search for a logo designer and get,one made for relatively cheap the next,thing you're going to need is some,wallpaper photos because we've seen,especially on the header you're going to,need some photos to use for that so,these are going to be pictures that are,related to your brand or your product,and if you don't have any of those,yourself you can go ahead over here to,pixabay.com or,unsplash.com to look for free stock,photos that are related to your product,or niche and then obviously we're going,to need product photos as well as,product details so this is something,that i assume you would already have,and then in this case we saw that there,was a video

Builder Theme Studio for Shopify Demo

welcome to a demo of builder theme,studio for shopify,in this demo we're going to use our,friends over at pladra,who make awesome flannel shirts this is,the studio tab,on the right you can navigate your site,and click to edit any page from your,website,on the left you can see the overall,structure of your site and edit and,create versions from here as well,you'll see that where by default we're,in safe mode this means that anytime we,make an edit,nothing will be published to our live,site until we're ready when you are,ready,you can turn safe mode off and go on,publish live,it's that easy to start let's make a new,custom page custom pages are great for,landing pages,about pages social media and ads,you name it in our case we're going to,start from scratch,now we're in the builder visual editor,you'll see your editing directly on your,site,right between your header and footer,just like any of your other pages,we can start by adding in some content,we can add things like,text images columns you name it,now we can start getting fancy we go,over to the style menu,we can start customizing the styling,anything that we want maybe i'll bump up,this font size,add a little more space at the top,change the font color,and maybe change the font entirely,you'll see that these fonts are,inherited from our theme,fonts so everything will look on brand,now when i have something that i like,the way it looks i can save that as a,template,all i have to do is just click on the,carrot save as template,and call this we'll call this heading,one,great now heading one appears over my,templates and i can reuse this,anywhere anytime you'll see that,everything,on this page is also responsive by,defaults everything will stack and fit,every different device just the way i,wanted to,and i can make changes per device,anytime i want,easily,now that you've got a high level view of,the visual editor let's jump,over and start editing some of our theme,pages,let's make a new version of our home,page all i have to do is click new,version,and let's choose to start from scratch,in my case i'm going to start,blank,now let's use some templates that we've,made,we can create a new home page pretty,quickly for instance i'll add a carousel,i will throw in second row,maybe i'll add a full bleed third row,and so on and so forth these are,templates that i saved from content that,i made,and we can go in and edit any of the,details just like you've seen,in our other prior example now you'll,notice here we're featuring this awesome,new collection,in collaboration with rachel poll this,is a collection,only for women and so let's be a little,fancy here and target this version of,our homepage,only to customers who have shopped,women's products of ours,so we can go up here to targeting,add a filter and say only customers who,order from collections,we can go in and add a collection i'm,going to type women's,and choose that and now this version of,this homepage,will only be shown to people who,previously
