in today's video we are turning,shopify's free theme refresh into a,general drop shipping store a big reason,why general stores lose conversions is,that customers coming from social media,such as tick tock can't find the product,that they saw in a video they get,overwhelmed by the disorganization and,the number of products they see and they,leave this redesign is going to take the,overwhelm out and drive conversions by,focusing on organizing and highlighting,the products they are looking for this,redesign is very intentional about the,customer experience on both desktop and,mobile,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video the,products are the star of the theme so,that is where we're going to start even,if you already have all of your products,added don't skip this part of the video,because what i show you now is a vital,part in how i set up the rest of the,store,for my products i have these lists that,i created for our channel all i have to,do is copy and paste the aliexpress link,to the import app it's really simple,if you want these lists as well click,the join button to become a channel,member you'll get access to all of our,past list and also get early access to,ones for future videos that haven't been,posted yet,when your products have been added we,need to organize them into categories,this is absolutely essential for how we,set up the rest of the theme and also,not having things organized could cost,you conversions,someone who sees the product on tick,tock for example is going to go to your,store and check the home page check your,categories and or use the search to find,the product they saw if it can't be,found you will lose that sale so it's,super important to keep things organized,so go through each one of your products,and under product organization select a,type for each one,shopify has already come up with all the,categories so all you need to do is,select the correct one,copy that text then what you're going to,do is go to collections,create a new collection,and paste it in the title,then set the collection type to,automated with the settings as product,type is equal to,and then paste that same title in the,box,if that doesn't work for you meaning no,products are appearing underneath the,category,go back to your product and paste that,same text under tags then go back to,your category and set it as product tag,is equal to and paste the text in the,box,i experienced this issue myself so i,created a test product to troubleshoot,and the product type setting worked when,i manually created the product so that,tells me it may have something to do,with the app and shopify not,communicating properly when the products,are imported the next thing you need to,do is go through and rename your product,titles and edit your descriptions and,variants,i know i know but if you

I turned a FREE Shopify Theme into a One Product Store for Dropshippers!

in today's video we are going to turn,shopify's newest free theme refresh into,a simple easy to set up one product,Dropship store,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products Drop,Shipping Shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video alright,first things first we need to install,refresh to do that click online store,themes,and then scroll down to the bottom where,it says explore free themes,chocolate,select refresh,and click add to theme Library,once it's finished installing click,customize,the first thing we're going to do is,adjust the colors so click on theme,settings,colors,and follow along with me,just a quick note with these gradients,I'm choosing colors that match my,product I chose the orangey gradient,because of the color on the sleeves and,the purple because of the product photos,but feel free to choose a different,gradient that better matches your,product,oh,thank you,foreign,go ahead and save your work I know this,looks a little strange right now but we,will adjust everything when we work on,the sections by the way if you guys want,a cheat sheet with screenshots of my,settings colors the text I used as well,as the AliExpress link to the product I,feature in this theme join our private,Facebook group I'll be posting it there,you can find the link in our description,box,all right up next we are going to adjust,the checkout colors so from the drop,down select checkout,click theme settings,checkout,the first thing I'm going to do is,Select my logo you can't see it right,now because it's white but as soon as we,change the background color you will,next I'm going to change the background,color,change the form fields from white to,transparent,change this background color,the accent color,and the button color,save your work and head back to the home,page,for the home page I won't add any text,here yet all we're going to do right now,is set up the sections starting at the,top with the announcement bar I decided,to go with the other greeting I set up,so I'm going to select accent 2.,next I'm going to click on header,I'm going to change the color scheme to,background one,select my logo,and increase the width to 250 PX,then Under menu I'm going to remove the,menu this is a one product store so we,don't need any Links at the top,last but not least deselect enable,sticky header no need to have the Top,Bar following us around since we don't,have any menu links,moving on to the slideshow I'm going to,remove the third slideshow block because,I only need two,next change the desktop content position,to Middle right I won't be uploading the,slideshow image just yet but the image,size I used was 1920x620,by default I have a featured collection,section here which I'm going to delete,your sections might look a little,different than mine but not to worry,keep following along and I'll show you,which ones to keep,what I want here instead is a featu

in today's video we are turning,shopify's free theme origin into a,Christmas one product store theme before,we get into the video if you like videos,about winning products Drop Shipping,Shopify themes apps and tutorials do us,a favor and hit that subscribe button,and turn notifications on now let's get,into the video If you haven't seen a,theme origin yet it's one of shopify's,newest free theme it's a one product,store setup I did a video on it as well,as the second free theme that Shopify,released at the same time so if you want,to see that watch this video but to get,started start by installing the theme,origin,foreign,thank you,once origin has been installed click,customize,then click the paintbrush icon,and click colors,now follow along with me,foreign,thank you,for the gradient you can select any one,of these that has two colors because,we're going to change the colors anyway,foreign,foreign,foreign,next we're going to move on to the,checkout so from the drop down select,checkout,then scroll down here on the left hand,side until you see checkout,click it,and scroll down more so you can see your,options,first I'm going to upload my logo,then for the main content area,background I've created two gradient,backgrounds that you can upload and use,you can choose red or green both of,these are included in theme files which,you can find a link to in our,description box as for the colors follow,along with me,thank you,foreign,now let's head back to the home page to,set up our sections,foreign,at the top I decided to turn the,announcement bar off but it's up to you,if you have a sale going on or have an,important notice feel free to utilize,this for the header upload your logo,and set it as 200px,there's an option to add a menu here but,because this is a one product store I'm,not going to add that in I want to give,the visitor all the information they,need in order to make a purchase on this,one page,next we have Rich Text for the text add,something that will hook your visitor,and make them want to stay don't add,your store name here or anything like,happy holidays or whatever it may be,this is a lot of space and it's the,first thing a person will see when they,come to your store so make it work for,you next I'm going to add a text block,underneath and add this text,next we have our featured product you,can choose a product by clicking here,and then set the color scheme as inverse,normally it would pull the description,from your product listing but in origin,they actually have their own custom,description here just type something,brief because we're going to add in more,information below it in a second next,scroll down,and click add section,then select multi-column,drag that right up below the featured,product,erase the heading,set the image width as 1 3 width of the,column,set the number of columns on desktop to,4.,column alignment as Center,set the secondary background as none,erase the button label,set the color scheme as inverse,and set the number

How To Edit the Homepage on Expanse Theme Shopify

in this video i'm going to show you how,to modify and edit the home page,for the shopify expanse theme this is a,paid theme,available on the shopify app store and,other places online i'm going to show,you how to edit this banner,the navigation here top header,these items here scrolling down your,messaging,how to change all of this select it,testimonials footer etc okay so the,first thing we're going to do,is we're going to log in to the shopify,admin,i'm already logged in so it's going to,take me right in,okay so you're going to see some things,you may see these where it says,customize theme,add domain name etc we're going to go,ahead and click on online store,we're not going to worry about any of,these other items right now,we're just going to go to online store,if at any time during the time that i'm,actually working on this,if i wanted to preview this what i,usually do is i'll keep,one uh window open here like this and,then i'll go ahead,and select customize i right click on it,and open it up in a new tab,just so i have access to come back to,this section and i have to go back and,forth you know uh to change things,so uh right now i'm gonna go ahead and,just keep the website here,now if we look at this,expanse was already installed,and we've configured it we've actually,made these banners,made the images,jeez pms,okay so now we've logged in we actually,clicked on the customizer,and we're in the back and if you notice,over here on the right hand side,we have some things we can do some quick,keyboard shortcuts and things like that,you can mess around with that later,if we scroll down on the center here,you'll see,your website okay now um if you,look up here you have homepage products,collections we'll get into this later,but you can actually edit these directly,as well there's only a couple of options,available for each one,um the only page that has this like,wysiwyg,editor is the home page so the internal,pages do not,right so that's why you either need to,pick a theme that you like that has a,cool,you know collection page a cool product,page things like that,or pick a theme generic theme and then,add to it with code,or apps okay a cool thing about shopify,is it does have this ability right here,to go ahead and click on and look at how,your website would look into mobile,so you can go ahead and look at that,while you're actually playing around,with it click on desktop and if you,click on full screen,it gets rid of all the menus together so,we're gonna go back to desktop,and this announcement bar here so this,announcement bar at the top we go ahead,and click on that,and shopify just changed the way it has,this whole it's called online 2.0,so now they have this whole new backend,you're going to want to click on the,actual,arrows now to do the drop downs well we,have messages,here that actually rotate for this,particular theme,so if you look at it when i click on,these they'll actually show up on the,right hand side here,so if you notice i can act

Online Store 2.0: Introducing Theme App Extensions | Shopify Unite 2021

hi everyone i'm tulin and i'm a product,manager at shopify,with chris and martin i'm going to walk,you through the new theme app extensions,in online store 2.0,we'll start with what a theme app,extension is then talk about how to,build one,using different app blocks and finally,we'll cover how to migrate your app to,use theme app extensions,after this presentation we'll hold the q,a over discord,let's get started,as you all probably already know,currently there's no structured,end-to-end solution for apps to easily,integrate with themes,developers need to build integration,logic for every theme,and host assets themselves which makes,it challenging to build features that,work,fast and consistently across all themes,it is also a painful experience for,merchants to enable or disable apps in,their storefront,the product reviews app is currently,asking merchants to copy paste code to,their theme files,merchants will need to figure out where,to add this code,as it can change depending on the theme,which can be intimidating for,non-technical merchants,injecting code to a theme will also take,merchants off of the theme upgrade path,first of all the code will remain on the,theme,even when the app is uninstalled,to solve these challenges we are,introducing theme app extensions,allowing you to extend apps into,merchants themes,via app blocks themeapp extensions,represent the future of app building on,shopify,a theme app extension is a bundle of,theme files,provided by the app where shopify takes,care of the rendering,and hosting of assets these extensions,are created published and updated from,the shopify cli,just like other app extensions apps,do not touch a theme's code this means,uninstalls are also cleaner,with ghost code automatically removed,app blocks represent a radical change in,the way apps are included inside of,themes,app developers can now build ui,components,that can be added removed and configured,directly through the theme editor,there are two ways for app blocks to,extend the online store,first way is when an app block is added,to a section,or added as full width within a platform,provided app section,second is what we called app embed,blocks,injected in the head or body of a page,this is especially handy for when an app,is trying to add a script to a page,or a floating element like a chat widget,let's see app blocks in action i can add,the star ratings badge,to the product section and drag it,inline,i can also add the customer reviews app,block,as full width to the page wrapped in,platform provided app section,app embed blocks can be accessed enabled,and configured under the theme settings,as seen in this example i can enable the,shopify chat app,and configure the visual settings,without leaving the editor,now chris will tell you how to build the,theme app extension,thank you doolan great now you know what,theme app extensions are,let's see how to build one first make,sure you have the shopify command line,tool installed,i've got version 2
