Beginners Guide to building a WooCommerce Storefront Website from start to finish

Beginners Guide to building a WooCommerce Storefront Website from start to finish

hi there Jamie here from Koopa press I,hope you're well so I'm gonna do,something I've never ever done before, which is to build a complete website, from scratch without any pauses at all,so as I'm doing it so it's exactly the, steps you need to take to build your own, website so here we can I'm gonna build,an e-commerce website using storefront, but with commerce storefront theme and, using storefront flow plugin so here we,go hope you enjoy it I hope you find it,useful so the first thing you I'm gonna,do is and what you'll need to do if you, want to build a new site is to choose a,hosting company so you don't download,WordPress to your computers you go to,your hosting company and install,WordPress there so I'm gonna use GoDaddy, today but there's other good hosting, companies if you have more money more, budget than there's one called WP engine, who I highly recommend there's another, some other options if you're in the u.s.,then Bluehost are a good option if,you're in the UK there's another good, company called Hart internet they're all, good so you go to your hosting company, now I'm going to heart to code daddy and, you'll see we've got hosting up here and,I want to choose WordPress hosting here,we go so the first step is to get your,WordPress site installed at your hosting, company so I'm just going to do that now,I'm going to go for the basic level, which will be fine for most sites to get,you going and they'll turn up to sell, you stuff as you go through here which,I'm not going to do today and I don't,need his domain name and then I'm just, gonna choose you choose your your period, here I'm gonna choose just what month, just because it's a demo so the ghost, empowers and then I'm going to register,to complete my purchased let's try and,do it quickly,so this is the paying bear this is where,I'm actually gonna pay for it and let's,just use PayPal just for speed yeah,we're gonna pop in my paypal address now,I'm gonna be installing this on what, they call a temporary domain name but,I'll put a link to a video that shows, you have a new link your real domain, name to your temporary to mean them that, you're building this site on Tech it's,super easy to do okay so let's just, finished purchasing my hosting just a,few more details to fit in yeah, okay I think I've already done this, let's do it again this is some account, information okay and complete purchase I,hope through that all go through now so,once that's processed it should then, give you the option hopefully to add my,site here we go and now I'm going to,install WordPress at GoDaddy so I'm,building a brand new website so click, get started I don't have a domain name,at the moment so I'm going to use a,temperate domain name and again I'll,show you how to link your real domain, name if you have a domain name, afterwards but I'm just gonna build it,under this temporary one here I'm in,Europe such as Europe here this is my,username and password so my password a,lot of complexity in terms of what, they're asking for but hope

Realistic Dropshipping Startup Budget for 2020

Realistic Dropshipping Startup Budget for 2020

one of the most common questions I get, asked for people who either want to join,me Cavan me are people who want to get, started with dropship in this how much, money do I need to invest now for those,of you that have followed my story for, those you that followed the channel, you'll know that I started dropshipping, with 250 pounds and turned that into, over $700,000 but things change you know, costs associated with business change, apps develop Facebook marketing change, there are a lot of different things I,change over time so in this video I want,to go over the realistic starting budget, for dropshipping you're gonna need in,2020 so let's get into it hey everyone, welcome to the video my name is Chris,Wayne before I get into the content on,this I just want to caveat this video by,saying that the dropshipping budgets, budgets for you it's a very personal, thing you know everybody's going to be,different everybody's going to have, different goals and you need to figure, out what your goals are before you can, really decide on what your starting, budget should be if you want to go out, there and buy a mega yacht and sail the,Mediterranean for the rest of your life, then you're gonna need a big budget but,if you're looking for something a little, bit more down-to-earth a little bit more, realistic say around 200 pounds $200,extra month and that's what was my goal, originally when I started I only wired, actually 200 pounds a month then your, budget you need for this is going to be,a lot smaller and it's going to be a lot, more realistic so it all comes down to,your goals how you want to achieve them, how quickly you want to achieve them and,it kind of just comes down to your, personal situation in your life and what, you can still do with this but in this, video I'm going to be going over the, bare minimum you're gonna need to get, started if you have this amount then you,can be confident that you're good to go,and you can find success with this as,long as you know what you do it,so the first cost you're gonna have to,put up there is your cost for your, actual econ platform itself and the one,I always advise people to use is Shopify,it's where I've seen most of my success,I truly believe is the best econ, platform out there but the benefit with, this platform is you do get a two week, free trial with it which the links are,in the description for that so you can, check that out you get a two week free, trial and after that it's only $29 a,month so your initial cost for your, first two weeks where you get everything, this L will be completely free and then, after that you'll be charged $29 per, month for those of you that don't know, what Shopify is it's basically going to,be the platform where you host all, products where you tell your card, payments from your customers and it's,basically the main place where your, customers will land it will manage, everything for you if you can't get, around that you need to be paying that, and Chapra fight is the best platform, out there the second thing you'r

Anton von Rueden of Boosted Commerce on The Future of E-Commerce & The FBA Roll-Up Strategy

Anton von Rueden of Boosted Commerce on The Future of E-Commerce & The FBA Roll-Up Strategy

welcome to another episode of tank talks, your personal think tank for all things, startups and venture capital,i'm your host matt cohen founder and, managing partner at rippleventures,on today's show we are talking about the, future of e-commerce and the fba roll-up,strategy with ceo and president of,boosted commerce anton von ruden with 44,of us e-commerce businesses being, controlled by amazon it's probably not a,shock to hear that thousands of new, sellers and merchants are popping up,every day on platforms like amazon and, shopify, but today we are focusing on a new kind,of megastore that is scooping up the, best ecommerce sellers, and supercharging them with marketing, seo support and supply chain sourcing, among other efficiencies, one of those companies is boosted which, has raised over 100 million dollars from, several investors including spencer, raskoff co-founder of zillow and hotwire, among others to purchase up to 100,online e-commerce stores over the next, few years,we asked anton what criteria his team, looks for when searching for an,acquisition target, and how platforms like boosted can help, brands succeed after they are removed, from platforms like amazon,i absolutely love this conversation as,we really get an inside look on how, companies are competing in the online, world, and why brand awareness and supply chain, efficiencies can never be underlooked, but before we get started today i wanted,to share a personal message about my own, experiences when setting up,rippleventure's first fund in 2018 that, may resonate with some of our listeners,i often speak with other first-time fund, managers about their fears and, frustrations when it comes to launching, your first fun,and the conversation always leads to how,i managed to deal with all the, administrative hassles that arise when, running an investment fund, this is where the team at adore advisors, comes into the story i was lucky enough,to meet the founder of aduro braum ricky,at a vc networking event in new york, city at the exact time when i was, struggling with my own back office, headaches,as soon as brock told me he had launched, the duro as a tech first high touch fund, administrator for emerging managers i,was completely sold, but to provide me with more comfort, braum mentioned he was previously the, former cfo of true ventures,an extremely successful valley based, venture fund which he had left to start,a duro, after so many new fund managers were, asking for his advice on fund, administration, since my very first interaction with the, team at oduro all my fund administration, tasks have been a breeze, they are the perfect partner for any, emerging manager like myself when it,comes to supporting you through those, initial fun-one frustrations, from managing capital calls to lp,documentation, all the way to budgets tax documents and, anything in between, the team at aduro literally does it all, that is why i'm excited to welcome, adoro's an official partner to,rippleventures and now tank talks so,other emerging managers can s

How SMBs Can Compete in The Digital Age

How SMBs Can Compete in The Digital Age

do you have any examples of retailers, who you could say, fits that middle size retailer category, they're not big bucks they're not target, they're not walmart but they're not, main street either yeah i'd say probably, almost any mall based specialty retailer,it's in that category well if you drew a,venn diagram that will move, big overlap with who's in the mall yeah, but i'd say this,uh about the middle and there is some, mystique about it somebody would call it,a bifurcation that, you know the bigger get bigger the, smaller get smaller kind of thing, there's a,thing in the middle there is a,price-pointing issue, but there's a great article i actually, wrote myself about, retail management competency this is the, thing that defines, those players are just average or,mediocre as,steve dennis would say nobody wants to,to go into a mediocre, retailer store and go i'm here to buy, some really great stuff please excite me,and they go,what do you want sir and we might have,it on the shelf yeah, that's in my mind the classical uh,middle player, not in the same decade as the rest of,them that, they're behind because they haven't,invested in things like technology they, haven't got the financial strength, they their culture maybe it's probably, often a label to blame,oh cell culture we can't do that well, there's the article has about four or,five different components which, define for me retail management, competency,if you have these all lined up small or,big you're likely to be more successful, than not having those and the ones,in the middle are actually the ones that, aren't very good at,those five components, welcome and thank you for joining me,today my name is gary newberry i'm a,senior executive on call, helping businesses in the make move sale, flow of consumer goods and services,my purpose is to inspire business, leaders particularly, those within the consumer products and, retailing space,to think big be bold scale adapt and win,one epic supply chain transformation at,a time, there's additional content available, through my website retailaid.ca,or on my youtube channel retail aid be,sure to check it out,as a business world faces much, volatility uncertainty complexity and, ambiguity, organizations need to be tapping into, resources, with an inside edge on transitioning, their teams to be,agile innovative and digital with, thought leaders experts and senior, executives, who have mastery of operational, turnarounds and strategic, transformations,to help reorientate their enterprises, there's great material to get through, here so let's get started, thank you both so much for taking the, time i i guess how i fit into all of,this i can't remember how much or how, little context i gave you,i am the content lead that on the team, that's responsible for producing that, returnless refunds post, that all of the dialogue started, happening on and so when my writer, tagged me into the conversation i was, like whoa, this seems like a hot topic there seems,to be a lot of opinions on this, and not not just opinions
