hey everyone thank you for watching,today's video I'm really excited to do,this video topic that came in from a,subscriber on a past video this is from,Miss guitar chick she said can you do a,video on deceiving packaging it does not,correlate with what is inside I thought,this would make for a really fun video,idea I've actually seen one of my,friends here on YouTube do this several,months ago it was Kelly Gooch she has,such great videos and great topics I,will link that video down below and I,remember seeing it and thinking like I,want to do this too and then I just,never got around to it so in today's,video I'm gonna be talking about,especially eyeshadow palettes that I,don't think matched it the packaging,with what was on the inside of the,palette and I also thought it would be,fun to talk about maybe some some,releases that maybe just didn't make a,lot of sense kind of like a two-for-one,in this video because as I was thinking,about some packaging that maybe didn't,make sense to what was inside it also,related to I just felt like the timing,of the release was coming at a weird,time so I felt like those two kind of,topics could go hand-in-hand,also I really wanted to get some of your,feedback on this topic too you know one,thing I say in my videos is I really,look forward to the comments into having,discussions and I kind of want to start,bringing you guys into more videos,before I sit down to film them and,really get your feedback and and your,ideas you know I also recently saw Emily,Noel and also just this morning Kelly,Gooch as I'm filming this morning Kelly,Gooch also posted the hot takes video,kind of reacting to bold statements or,maybe some unpopular opinions with the,makeup industry or the beauty community,and I think it's a lot of fun to have,you know the people who are watching and,the viewers you know kind of sound off,on different things or give you our,opinions and then to work them into a,video so I really wanted to include that,aspect in today's video too so I wrote,down some of my ideas and then I asked,for your suggestions via my Instagram,stories and there was a lot who had the,same ideas as me and there was a lot of,others that I felt like had some,interesting conversation pieces for this,video too so thank you to everyone who,replied in I will try to be including,your answers if you will,hello but yeah we definitely left to,chat about today so that sounds,interesting to you wanna go ahead and,get started so one pallet that came to,my mind pretty quickly when I was,thinking about this video was from nabla,cosmetics and this was the poison Garden,palette so I'm gonna go ahead and scoot,over and I will put a photo of like the,outer packaging which a lot of times we,see the outer packaging first right so,sometimes it gets exciting too like all,you see the outer packaging you already,get an idea of what's in your mind what,you think the inside shades are gonna be,I will say a lot of times the inside of,the palette to me matches

hey what's going on guys welcome back to,another video so today we've got three,subscriber store reviews to go through,with you,getting feedback on your site is a,critical component to your success,especially if you're new to the whole,shopify and e-commerce and dropshipping,business it doesn't matter how good your,product is or how good your offer is if,you don't have the shopify store to back,it up,that looks professional and trustworthy,they're the two most important things,i'm going to be looking at through these,stores then ultimately your customers,won't trust you and they won't be buying,from you so today we've got a couple of,general stores to look through one of,them is kind of like focused on gadgets,and then at the end the third store,we're gonna be looking at is one product,branded store a really great example of,what you should be striving to achieve,with that being said thanks for tuning,in i hope you enjoyed the video i hope,you learned something new let's jump,straight into store number one so the,first store we're gonna be looking at,today is called cosmos dash universe.com,right off the bat the first thing that,kind of sticks out to me is the fact,that i can barely recognize the logo is,so small your logo is a vital part of,your business and a key to your success,you want your logo to imprint in,people's minds so when they're flicking,through different websites when they're,flicking through social media which is a,busy enough,kind of space as it is you want your,logo to be,easily recognizable because then it,gives them a reason to stop because they,see something that they recognize if,your logo is super small,like this then obviously you won't get,the opportunity to do that next up their,cover image is it's a cool image but it,doesn't really do anything for the,business doesn't really say anything,doesn't feature any products nothing,like that down in the bottom right hand,corner we can see they've got kind of,two different chat functions which kind,of contradict each other so that,definitely needs clearing up and one of,those removing,moving down now we've got lots of,different colors on screen to my mind,this isn't very visually pleasing so,this site has,lots and lots of different colors on,this particular screen right now i can,see,one two three four five,six different colors we have the,background color we have the red,writing and text we have the yellow,review stars we have kind of like the,price has been crossed out sale price,and then we have the actual price of the,product,and then we have the actual background,of that kind of section in a site try,and keep it simple,no more than say three or four colors,you want a background color,white works often the best number two is,you want a font color you want this to,be black or kind of like a really dark,gray,and then number three you want an accent,color your accent color ideally ties in,with your logo so if,for example for this particular site,it's a red you would have your

welcome back today we're going to be,going over setting up a BOGO deal inside,of Shopify that's what it's buy one get,one free deal we're gonna do this,without setting up any apps and we're,going to do it using the automatic,discount codes so let's jump into it so,one of the most common things you want,to do when you're first starting off,doing promotions side Shopify might be a,buy one get one free deal so this is,what we call a BOGO deal so I'm going to,show you how to set up a BOGO deal,inside of Shopify without using any apps,and with the new automatic discount,codes this should be relatively easy to,do so let's hop over to the screen so,when you're on your dashboard what you,want to do is you want to go to the home,page and then you want to go to,discounts and when discounts opens it's,going to open up two options one is for,odd for regular discount codes and,second is for automatic discount codes,we are gonna go to automatic discount,codes and it's gonna come up with this,new splash screen what we want to do is,we want to create automatic discount so,the first thing we need to do is we're,going to need to label the automatic,discount code and we do this so this is,what the customer sees when they wear,the code is automatically applied so the,first thing we're going to do is we're,gonna say buy one get one free,alright so now we're gonna set up the,conditions so the first thing we want to,do is under quantity we want to say if,the customer buys one and we're gonna,select a specific product now I've gone,and,I've added a handbag organizer so I hid,in bed organizer,so if someone buys a handbag organizer,we want to give a one for free,so we're gonna hit the customer guest,gets the quantity one and then we're,gonna go it's like another specific,product and we're gonna do the same,thing,we're going to just say that this,customer gets the second one free now,we're gonna limit this we're gonna say,that it's only a one per customer you,don't have to do this but for this,specific demo we're gonna do that so I'm,gonna set that up for one and then we're,gonna hop over to the active dates now I,want this thing to go live right now so,I'm going to set today's date but I only,wanted to go for a month,I only want to offer the promotion for a,month so I'm gonna change this to go to,February 15th 2019 and then I'm going to,save this discount okay so now this,discount has been saved what we want to,do is go on a go test it so we're gonna,hop over our website and we're gonna go,I just happen to have organizers up here,right now and I'm going to go and buy,two of them add them to cart now it's,only going to show it on the checkout,page because Shopify needs to apply it,automatically it only does it on what's,called the give me the money page so,we're gonna hit the checkout button just,to test this and we're gonna see it,shows up here on the right so the first,thing the buy one get one free this is,the title that we added into the,discount store so here this is

What is a Subdomain and How to Use One with WordPress?

subdomains are URLs for different,sections of your website they use your,main domain name and a prefix for,example if your domain is website com a,sub domain might be support dot website,com you use your primary domain name and,a prefix to denote a separate section of,your website and when we say separate,section we mean that in the most literal,sense possible subdomains are treated as,complete separate entities by search,engines so blog elegant themes calm,would be seen as a completely different,website as elegant themes calm slash,block as such WordPress subdomains are,actually separate installations there,are a number of reasons that this could,be helpful to you as a site,administrator before we get any deeper,let's quickly cover how to create a,subdomain we're going to use cPanel,because it's pretty ubiquitous across,most platforms and web hosts if you,don't run cPanel you might have to,contact your host support or just check,documentation so now that we're here in,cPanel we're just gonna scroll down to,the domain section and here we already,have a button for subdomains if you have,any subdomains created you'll just,scroll down and see them on a list right,here for us we don't have any configured,so we're gonna scroll back up and create,one right now the first field is what we,want our subdomain to be so for this,example I'll just type blog and then if,you have multiple domains you would have,to select it from here in this situation,we're using the cPanel demo and so our,domain would be cPanel com the document,root is where all of the files will be,located on your server and again we,don't want this to blend in with our,actual website because they are two,different sections so you can choose,something simple like the actual sub,domain or if you would like to specify a,little bit deeper you could do so once,we're done with that we're gonna go,ahead and just click create of course,we're in demo mode so this isn't,actually going to create a sub domain,but just like that we would now have,access to our brand new sub domain with,that covered now let's talk about when,to actually use a sub domain there are a,number of,use cases where a sub-domain is the,perfect option for your site there are,also a number of cases where using a,sub-domain is not ideal this includes,landing pages blogs temporary,promotional or static pages you wouldn't,use a subdomain for any of these because,their constituent parts of your website,however using a subdomain is great for,things like a login page while WordPress,defaults to slash wp-admin as its login,you can disable that and set it to login,dot website com which is a quick and,easy way to prevent some brute-force,attacks and malicious logins because it,simply doesn't show up in searches for,your brand demo and development sites,you can use a subdomain with WordPress,to either create a staging site a,development site or even a demo site you,sure wouldn't want your standard organic,traffic showing up there if you set u

hey friends,this is such a fun week as you can tell,i am in a different place,i am actually painting a mural today you,saw my design process for this mural and,how it evolved and we got to,this final piece i am in my client's,residence,in scottsdale and we're bringing it to,life,right here i just got it all taped up,and it's time to paint so my plan is to,create this mural over today and,tomorrow and it's gonna be,so fun i'm still working on my coffee,and we'll get going,so,this is where i'm at a lot of line work,at this,phase and of course i'm working in,layers,mostly yeah yeah mostly background,foreground,although i'm about to drop in the sky,which,could have been the first step but,i did not want any of the sky to come in,through the mountain,because obviously i want the mountain to,look,forward from the sky if that makes sense,and not be,transparent you've got camelback here in,this beautiful,dusty rose color and then this is just a,little bit of the extra visual interest,with some,rocks even more in the foreground next,up i've got the sky,this is the color i have picked for the,sky,curious oh i might add in a touch of,this color,this is pretty cool toned and the sky is,too,but like a little more turquoise and i,really,don't want too much paint in here,because we're doing a dry brush,technique,i think that's it she's beautiful and,then there's a little abstract,sun that's going to be in this same,dusty pink color,on top of that and then on top of that,as well will be my signature pink,swatches up in the corner,and then once all that is laid in it's,time for,saguaro's painting on each of the four,saguaros these are the most challenging,part just trying to get them straight,and this green color right here,this is the paint color of the cabinets,in the kitchen right over here and,it's so cool that these clients told me,that so we could tie them,in together you know i had been focusing,on the mural and not really been in the,kitchen and when i,went in there to grab my lunch out of,the fridge i saw the view,from the kitchen to the mural and you,can see the cabinets aligned with this,so that's very exciting this saguaro is,the cabinet color and so is the first,one,here's the other saguaro this baby is,ready for its shadow,tomorrow last thing i'm doing tonight,finishing this,arm i'm gonna clean up a few of my,things and we will wrap up day one of,this mural,i'm back for day two and it's going,really well,so far today i have finished all the,saguaro cacti which,i had a feeling would be the most time,consuming part and i was right,today i mostly came in and did all the,shading although a couple of them needed,a little bit more,color blocking and layering of paint but,i'm really happy with them,i am following the concept art really,closely,but i do think it's good to think of,this as a guide and not like,a rule because i did make a couple small,edits i changed one of the colors,in the saguaros and i also added an,extra shadow right here i didn't think
