hey folks today I'm gonna teach you how,to make a pinch pot by now you should, have already wedged out a one-pound,chunk of clay, now you're gonna slap and wat it into a,perfectly round ball next take your, thumb and puncture down into the ball of,clay but be careful not to perforate the, base you're gonna need that if we look,at the inside profile this is what you, would see as I pinch the clay from the, bottom to the top and top to bottom it's,going to eventually thin out as I pinch, around the inside with one hand the, mouth will get wider and I'll be able to,fit two thumbs on the inside as I apply, pinching pressure from top to bottom and, bottom to top the pot will expand and, eventually become thinner I want you to,notice how I'm using the table surface,to support the side profile of the pinch, pot this allows me to keep it sturdy as,I pinch and prevents it from flaring out,too wide the bending wheel would be,preferable here but it's likely that not, everyone will be able to use one at the, same time so this is an easy, accomodation this is the basic pinching, motion that I'm using when I'm pinching, the pinch pots notice that I'm,alternating my hands as I'm pinching, this allows me to support the pinch pot, with one hand while I'm pinching with, the other and vice versa if I look at a,side profile of the stage that I'm at,right now you can see the walls are, starting to thin out then this is kind,of the end goal here because if the, walls are thick we're gonna end up with,a heavy object and we don't want a door, stopper we want a fully functional, utilitarian object,so down at the very bottom of the pinch, pot there's some thick clay that I,couldn't quite reach with my thumbs,so I'm supporting the base of the pinch, pot with the palm of my hand and a,cup-like motion and just kind of,compressing down with my fingers of my,right hand this is gonna kind of make, the pinch pot conical or cone-shaped,down at the very bottom but that can be,pretty easily fixed by tapping the base,on the table or adding a foot ring, all right now you can see the walls are, adequately thinned out so now I can take, this time and shape my pinch pot trim, the rim and kind of smooth out the, surface so that it looks a lot nicer if,while you're making your pinch pot, you're noticing the rim cracking simply, just add a little bit of water to the,rim and smooth it out just a dab will do,it also be a good idea to kind of gently, compress down on the rim and that'll,really make sure that the clay platelets, fuse together so that you can avoid more, cracking in the future so now I'm going,to trim the rim of the pinch pot level, what you're going to need to do first is,Center the pinch pot on the banding, wheel or a kick wheel or any wheel for, that matter and with a needle tool or a,scalpel draw a line with a steady hand,at the very top where you intend to cut,you might need to make a couple pass, throughs but gently lift off the excess, amount that has been cut away and then, with a sponge or a chamois just smooth

PINCHED by a LOBSTER!
PINCHED by a LOBSTER!
- I'm Coyote Peterson and I'm
about to enter the Pinch Zone, with the American lobster.,Here we go.,(dramatic music),(fast-paced orchestral music),If I ask you to
name a single animal, from the great state of Maine,,I have a pretty good feeling
you'd say the lobster.,So today, the crew
and I will be heading, off the coast of Portland, Maine,on the rolling blue waves
of the Atlantic Ocean,to search for one of these
marine dwelling crustaceans.,Well here we are!,It's beautiful Portland, Maine, and it is a big day for
everybody out there watching.,And it's a big day for me
because it's been almost a year,since I promised that I would
be pinched by a giant lobster.,So today, we're going
out on a lobster boat,to look for one of
these creatures.,Now, I hear that they
have a crusher claw, and a ripper claw.,- What? A what claw?,- A crusher and a ripper, so--,- Which one are you
gonna get pinched by?,- Well both of them
because we need to find out, which one does more damage.,So if you guys are ready,
let's go meet our captain, and head out on the water.,- My money's on the ripper claw.,- On this voyage out to sea,,I will be working
alongside Dave,,a true lobsterman and seasoned
Captain of the Lucky Catch.,He'll be taking us out to
check a handful of traps,,also known as lobster pots,,in which we hope to find
a market-size lobster,that will ultimately be
used to pinch my hand.,Yes, you heard me right.,Coyote Peterson is going
to enter the Pinch Zone, with an American lobster.,(screaming),He missed the wood!,(screaming),It's biting me!,The Stripe-tailed
scorpion, powerful sting.,Ow! Oh!,We all know I have taken many
painful bites and stings,,but not that many
powerful pinches.,In fact, aside from a
few harmless crayfish, and a Dungeness crab,,this is poised to be
my first major pinch.,(yelling),Oh wow, that's pretty bad!,Many people have warned
me that a lobster's pinch,is powerful enough
to break my hand.,I know this sounds crazy,
but I have my doubts.,So the goal is to put
this pinch to the test,so that we can all find out
just how painful it really is.,But before I can get pinched,,first, we have to
catch a lobster.,- Here comes our first
trap and we have a lobster.,- Oh, you got a little one!,- Alright.,Now, this lobster
we're gonna measure,to see if it makes
the legal size.,- Yeah.,- In order for us to keep it,,it's gotta be at least 3
1/4 inches across the back,,that's called the carapace.,- Yeah.,- We measure from
the back of the eye,to where the back
meets the tail.,And this one is a little
small, this has gotta go back.,- So this little guy is gonna
live to swim another day.,- It's going back.,- Alright.,This is something
that's pretty cool, that Dave just showed me.,See the ripper claw there?,Kinda zoom in and you see,all those little
hairs on the edges?,It is serrated but
there's also soft hairs.,And watch this.,Just any sort of
sensitivity to those, and it will snap it's claw shut.,So, I have a feeling
that later on,,when I put my finger
into the ripper

Pinch-off Voltage
Pinch-off Voltage
in the previous lecture we saw the, working of Jay fat when vgs,gate-to-source voltage was equal to zero, volt and V D s drain to source voltage, was equal to V DD where VDD is some, positive voltage now in this, presentation we will discuss pinch-off,voltage but first we will discuss what,we have learnt in the last lecture the, gate terminal and the source terminal, are having the same potential because of,this vgs is equal to zero volt v GS is,equal to VG minus V s when VG is same as,vs the potential difference is equal to,zero volt so I will connect the gate, terminal to the source terminal and I,will connect ground to the source VDS is,equal to VDD where VDD is some positive, voltage so I will connect the positive, terminal of the battery this is the, positive terminal of the battery to the, drain terminal and the negative terminal, and negative terminal to the source, terminal and this voltage source is,equal to VDD which is equal to VDS and,as soon as VDS is introduced in this, circuit the electrons present in the end, channel will drift towards the drain and, because of this reason the drain current,ID is induced in this circuit now we,will discuss the effect on the depletion, region we are having n channel J fat and,in n channel J fat p-type material is,embedded in the n-type material and, because of this two depletion regions, are also formed, this end channel is providing resistance,to current ID so we can consider the end, channel as for resistances connected in,series this four resistances are same, and they are equal to R small R so,equivalent resistance is equal to 4 R,and let's say V D D is equal to 2 volts,so two bulls are divided across 4 R or,we can say drop across resistance R is,equal to 0.5 volts 2 volt is the, potential at this point and at this, point the potential is equal to 1.5 volt, because 0.5 volt is the drop across this, resistance so 0.5 subtracted from 2 volt,is equal to 1.5 volt in the same way at,this point the potential is equal to 1,volt at this point the potential is 0.5,volt and at this point it is equal to,zero volt so this is how the potential,is distributed across the N channel you,can connect this terminal here and this, terminal here so this whole arrangement, will go in the end channel and we can,see that at this point the potential is,equal to 1.5 volts 1.5 volts and at this, point the potential is equal to 0.5,volts 0.5 volts now if we talk about the,PN Junction formed between this p-type,material and the n-type material it is,reverse biased because here the, potential is equal to zero volt and at,this point the potential is equal to 1.5,volt so p-type material is connected to,the low potential and the n-type,cereal is on the high potential so the,PN Junction is reverse biased because of,this reason the width of depletion layer, will increase at the top and it will, remain almost same at the bottom it is,almost same at the bottom because, potential here is equal to 0.5 volt so,the reverse biasing potential is not, high at the bottom so

Pinch Fusion | The Archive
foreign, welcome back to installation zero zero, and today's edition of the most detailed, archive a more focused series looking, into aspects and components of Halo law, that come up often across the highways, and byways of my videos particularly the, most detailed breakdown Series today,we're taking a more detailed look at the, covenants pinch Fusion reactors that are, actually commonplace across the Covenant, and banished fleets these reactors use, some very interesting techniques to,generate energy that have been amended, since the last time it was covered on my,channel back in the CCS class battle, cruiser breakdown so let's get a little, nerdy and look at the pinch Fusion, reactor in a new light,Covenant pinch Fusion reactors use a,technique which replicates the, conditions inside the core of a star, using deuterium and tritium as the fuel, source which are isotopes of hydrogen, with a nucleus that contains a proton, neutron pair and a proton neutron,Neutron Trio respectively where a normal, commonplace hydrogen atom known as,protium has no Neutron at all,the pinch Fusion reactor generates, energy by the use of artificial gravity, generators there are generally around a,dozen gravity generators positioned, around the circumference of the reactor, both above and below the virtual core of,the reactor all aimed inwards to a,central point creating a focused area of,overlapping graphitic fields of immense, strength, the reactors generally resemble two,ring-like carapaces one positioned above, the other with a void between the two, where the reaction itself takes place, the Raptor's karapases also contain an,array of different Technologies, including a jutting gravity generators, around their circumference which are, generally speaking very obvious all, aiming inwards several concentric, annular magnetic field emitters, positioned in a circular Arrangement, within the carapace which generate both,high-speed Shear flow magnetic, containment fields and a magnetically, induced current, the campus is also house outer, containment Fields provided by extremely, powerful energy Shield emitters the, entire assembly is generally made of,Covenant Nano laminate to Aid in,shielding the devices contained within, the reactor from the intense heat and, radiation, the gravity generator is a magnetic, containment field emitters create highly, focused and Powerful gravity and, electromagnetic fields which as a,causative effect give a close, approximation to the forces at work, within the core of a main sequence star,s are majority made up of hydrogen gas, that has been heated into a plasma by,the sustained nuclear fusion reaction, taking place at their core where immense, pressures and temperatures facilitate, the nuclear reaction, the pressures of our atmosphere here on,Earth is approximately one bar or one, standard atmosphere about 14.5 pounds, per square inch,at the core of a main sequence star the, pressure is about 265 billion bar,and the temperatures reach about 15,million Kelvin or basically 15 million, degrees Cel

How To Pinch Flowers: Pinching Snapdragons, Cornflowers and Cosmos
How To Pinch Flowers: Pinching Snapdragons, Cornflowers and Cosmos
thanks all of you,for nice comments and thumbs up on my,video about how to pinch, cosmos for more flowers in the garden, this is my vegetable and flower garden,in south of sweden, and i am sarah i grow this garden and i,just, love to be out in my garden this time of,year and watch, all kinds of plants and you know the, vegetables we have lots of nice food, still no flowers from the annual plants, yet but they are growing we still have, quite cold weathers, nighttime in sweden so i waited, with you know planting out but,i have had so many questions about how,to pinch, both cosmos and other summer, flowers for more flowers when the plums, are already out,in the field or in the garden in the, open, because when i made the cosmos video i,pinched the plants when they were in,pots,so today i want to bring you to a place, where i,keep some flowers just to show you how,you can practice this when you have, already planted, out your flowers in the garden, this is a place with raised beds,in sweden we call them pallet collars, and i have, two on top of each other and they have,no contact with the ground since there, are, heavy roots from big trees just behind, this place, and this year i am going to grow, annual flowers here for bouquets, and this is corn flowers,i sowed the plants already in winter,in winter sowings as i made a video, about and planted them out here, when it was still quite cold in sweden, and they were so tiny then,so there was simply nothing to to,pinch really and therefore i have to,pinch them, now so this is what i have, done already but i kept a few plants, just to show you so that i can, illustrate, why we pinch the flowers how it affects, the plants, what we would like to see,etc so let's take a closer look, this is a plant that grows, straight up just as i planted it,and as you can see the stem is,intact i did not cut this one,i told you in the latest video, that it will sprout, where the leaves meet the stem, and this goes quite slow when you,do not pinch the plant so,this flower already have, like a a small bod and this will produce, one stem with a flower and, when i use this for a bouquet for, example,it will take a while for the plant then,to,produce new sprouts with new flowers, that's okay right but i want plenty,of flowers so what i do is that i,pinch the plants when they are quite, small when there's enough plant material,to pinch of course, and i pinch just above,a leaf so that new sprouts can, grow in between the leaf and the stem,so let's have a closer look at a plant, that i did pinch, this is a really nice example you see, this, here i pinched, and removed the top of the plant and as,you can see,i have so so many, sprouts coming out here one two three, four five six seven, eight nine ten eleven i think even, twelve,so in each leaf, where the leaf meets the stem a new, sprout is coming out,so from this one i will in quite a short, time, have like 12 sprouts with buds, and flowers and this one produces, meanwhile like one stem and then i have,to wait,a while for another to uh to produ

How to Develop a Stronger Pinch Grip for Bouldering and Rock Climbing
How to Develop a Stronger Pinch Grip for Bouldering and Rock Climbing
hey there I'm Eric Hurst of training for, climbing comm and in this video I'm,going to show you my favorite training, protocol for developing functional pinch, strength for climbing if you're an,indoor climber or an avid steep wall, outdoor climber then you surely, recognize the importance of a strong, pinch grip now while many climbers, regularly engage in hang board and, campus training to develop their finger, strength surprisingly few climbers I,know engage in regular targeted training,of the pinch grip and if that includes, you well then I hope this video will, inspire you to begin at least twice, weekly pinch grip training before we get,to the training protocol just a short, bit of anatomy there are 18 muscles in,the forearm and another 17 muscles in,the palm of your hand and many of these, muscles are activated when you pinch, grip interestingly when you're pinch, grip fails you while you're climbing,it's almost always due to a lack of,thumb force particularly the force, flexing the last joint that IP joint of,the thumb therefore effective pinch grip, training for climbing must target the, muscles that flex the thumb, they are the flexor pollicis brevis, muscle which is here in the fleshy part,of your palm and it flexes the bottom, joint of your thumb and then there's the, flexor pollicis longus muscle which you, might call remote control muscle because,it's actually located in the middle part,of your forearm, and it transmits force through a long, flexor tendon down to the distal bone of,your thumb and it flexes that IP joint, one more thing before we get training, pinch grip feats of strength and similar, fun competitions are catching on at some, gyms crags and climber festivals on a,recent trip to Squamish BC I was happy,to be able to lift the legendary, portable pinch block which I believe, weighs around 45 pounds it took me a few, tries but thanks to my regular pinch, grip training I was fairly confident by,do it and indeed I sent the portable, pinch before my trip was done okay on to,the exercise which I'll be performing in,a standing position rather than in a,hanging or climbing position doing so,allows me to really focus on the pinch, grip and it also provides some secondary, training of the wrist extensor muscles,as well as the shoulder back and hip, extension muscles to perform the, exercise you will need some kind of a,pinch block now years ago I made this, nifty homemade pinch block out of three, pieces of 2x4 bolted together and I,really liked training with this block,I've used it for years but now there are, some commercially available pinch blocks, this one by Frick Tisha's climbing which, has three different tiers three, different widths of pinching and what,we're going to be using in the video to,train today is the block by tension, climbing now the training protocol that,I recommend is seven second repeaters, with alternating hands but first you, need to determine your proper training, weight with a few practice pinches, experiment to find the maximum weight, that you can

PINCHED by a HUGE CRAB!
PINCHED by a HUGE CRAB!
- I'm Coyote Peterson,,and I'm about to
enter the pinch zone, with the Dungeness crab.,Ready?,One.,Two.,Here we go.,Three.,(screaming),(epic orchestral music),As the sun breaks
through the clouds, and shines down upon my face,,there are two things on my mind.,The first, is that Alaska's
absolutely breathtaking.,The second,,is that in just
a couple minutes,,I will be pinched by a
giant Dungeness crab.,Wait, what?,Yup, you heard me
right, pinched,,by a giant crab.,Today we're in Haines, Alaska,,and our first stop is the dock.,So if you wanna get pinched
by a Dungeness crab,,you gotta have the crab first.,And I can't dive down,to the bottom of the
ocean to catch one,,so today we're heading to
the harbor so I can buy one.,Dungeness crabs
live in deep water,,and are usually caught
using crab pots.,So for us to make
this episode work,,we actually have to buy a crab.,- Got one.,- There ya go.,That looks like it'll do
the trick right there.,That's a pretty big
set of pinchers.,I think we all know
what's gonna happen next.,Oh boy.,The good news for the crab,,who I have endearingly
named Roscoe,,is that after I am pinched,,he is going to be released
back into the wild.,Alright, well, I've got my crab.,Now we're just gonna
take it to a good spot, that we can film
me getting pinched.,You know, the entire
time I was hoping, that this fisherman would never
come back with these crabs.,Now we have one,,and my pointer finger
is gonna feel the, power of that claw pinch.,I'm obviously pretty
nervous right now,it's gonna break my finger.,They have these huge, teeth
looking nodules on their claws.,I didn't know they had
those until I saw 'em.,Kinda having second
thoughts about this.,Dwelling primarily
in eelgrass beds,,the Dungeness crab gets its name, from the town of
Dungeness, Washington.,It's one of the largest
crab species in this region,,and it's armed with a
set of powerful claws, that would even make
a lobster jealous.,I know what you were thinking,,"Coyote, why are you
going to do this?",And the answer is simple,,to find out just how powerful
these crabs really are.,Can they break a human finger?,We're about to find out.,- Alright, Coyote,,so does the crab seem
bigger in person?,Or is this as big as
you thought it would be?,- Yeah, actually I've
never really seen,a full grown Dungeness crab.,I did picture something
a bit smaller in my head.,He's down there in
the water right now,,we just have water
flowing through his gills.,We're actually allowing
him to power up,,if I dare say, power up,,to make this pinch a
little more extreme.,Grumpy ol' Roscoe, getting ready,to do a number on
my pointer finger.,Oh boy, this is gonna be bad.,The pinch of any crab species, has the potential
to be very painful.,And if the crab, like this one,,is big enough, there is a chance it could
actually break a finger.,This is it.,This is for science,,here we go.,Bringing it up.,Oh boy.,He looks grumpy.,In the past I've been pinched by,several species of crab.,Remember the purple shore crab?,

The hunt for the PERFECT ground pinch (pt. 3)
The hunt for the PERFECT ground pinch (pt. 3)
i'm back ground pinchers hold a bit of a,dear place in my heart okay the first, ground pitch video i made over a year, and a half ago and that was the first, video to kind of put my channel on the,map okay and then i made the second one,a year ago,and uh that video easily is my most, viewed video in my entire channel so,that leads up to today where uh,you know there's still room for, improvement that we still haven't scored, the perfect ground pitch in the first, video the goal was to score a 150,kilometer per hour ground bench you know, not too bad at the time second video the, goal was 170,uh you know a little faster but pretty, tough took me a long time at that point, nowadays, get those out of here so easy the goal, for this video ground pitch 3 is to,score a ground pitch that goes 190,kilometers per hour uh no idea how many, miles per hour that is something's never, changed you know what i'm talking about, now my record before this video was, sitting at 187,kilometers per hour i never even got 190,in training so i knew i had a big hill,to climb,uh coming up into this challenge and oh,boy, was it the worst it took me two weeks, okay, two weeks of ground pitchers before we,get into it make sure you guys hit that, subscribe button you know the drill, almost had a bill you know almost there, also make sure you follow my twitch link,in the description i stream on there all,the time and finally make sure you use, code fires garb in the rocket league, item shop hashtag add nissan skylines, come in the shop tomorrow you know you, want it right use my code but yeah,uh i really hope you enjoy it uh put a,lot of work into it,yeah let's get into it,all right boys ground pinch, number three boy it's been a year since, ground pinch two, okay the goal is 190 okay 190 my current, record, you heard this in the intro but my,current record is 187 in game uh,let's just run with a with a you know, attempt number uno,if he doesn't block it what she does all, right attempt one of ground pinch, three i'm nervous, nice little 128 not very fast ground, pitchers are kind of my dna except not, that one that was just like rna or,whatever the other version is the ground, two the goal is 170,and it took me like 12 hours,um,and that's 119 of course hit the, crossbar that could have been 170 right, there analyzing, enhancing okay there's only 158,attempts 90 billion, observe are you guys observational, learners i sure am,boom 141 not very good but you know,46 okay it would have been nice to guess,it and also follow it up with the not, very good you know doubling down on my,guess but of course my guess was wrong i,don't really know what the difference is,between 190 i don't really know what to,do different,i've gotten 186 before i've got a 185,187 i've gotten a couple times, and that's my record i have not been, able to crack, that seemed pretty fast not been able to,crack 187 i don't know why i've done 188,in training and a private match,um but that's one kilometer okay, that's like not a lot i gotta get that, three someh

How to Pinch Seedlings for Fuller Growth & Higher Yields! 👌🌿// Garden Answer
How to Pinch Seedlings for Fuller Growth & Higher Yields! 👌🌿// Garden Answer
hey guys how's it going today i want to,show you how i pinch back my seedlings, and i recently showed you how i thin my,seedlings with these snapdragons right, here and right after i did that they, just shot up they've put on so much, growth because all of a sudden they, weren't competing with each other they, all had enough room to grow so now, they're at a stage where i need to start, pinching them back which is basically, just a method of pruning where you, remove the top growth of the plant which, will create a more well-branched denser, plant and oftentimes will increase your, yields so like in this case with the, snapdragons i'll get a lot more flowers, from pinching them back so when you, pinch them the plant has a lot more, energy to put into a really strong root, system and newer branches and you can do,it at this stage like when they're in,seedling young stage of the plant and,you can do it several times along the,way which will create even more of a,dense plant and probably even higher, yields and pinching back is great for a,lot of different things like snapdragons, tomatoes basil coleus there are some, things you want to avoid like, delphiniums and larkspur oftentimes, though you can find that information on,the back of your seed packet like this,is the snapdragon seed packet for uh,this one right here and it says to pinch, back to one and a half to two inches, when the seedlings are about three to,four inches tall so you can really find,a lot of information back there if not,you can always google it and the last, thing when you are pinching back plants, you can use your fingers because that's,how it got its name most of the time, when you're pinching back plants they're,on the type of plants that have really, soft stems you can easily like just pop,the top off with your fingernails but if,you have a lot to do i find it easier to,use your snips,so if you are using a cutter like this, you do want to make sure to sterilize it,either between trays or between, varieties so that you don't accidentally, spread disease if you have any of that, going on so let's actually pinch one, back i'm going to show you an example, right here, the first set of leaves that you see, right here these are called the, cotyledons and these are not true leaves, these are the first leaves that you see, after the seed has germinated and broken, through the seed shell you want to,follow the stem up to at least above the, first set of true leaves which is what,we have right here so i can either prune, here which you prune right above that, set of leaves or you can follow it up,further i kind of just think it depends,on where you want your plant to start, branching so i am going to cut this one, right above that first set of leaves so,you take your pruners or your, fingernails and just cut it pretty close,to the leaf junction there, just like that and that's probably where,i'm going to take all of these just, because these are so tall now let's take,a look at this right here if we pop over,to this, flat this one's
