hello everyone,digitalgirl here with estorekings.com,today i'm going to be going through a,tutorial on how to update the footer,text,within your shopify store specifically,the copyright text that is set by,default,so if you scroll all the way down to the,bottom of your shopify store,you'll see that shopify puts default,copyright,content here or text so you'll see,the copyright symbol the year the store,name,followed by powered by shopify there are,several reasons why you would want to,change this text,let's say for example you're creating a,website for someone else,you may want to put you know website,created by and then link it back to your,site so that you can get more work,you also may just want to slightly edit,this remove part of it,completely up to you but one way or,another there are many people who do,update this copyright text,so if you go over to your shopify admin,and click on online store it'll bring,you to,an area where you can customize your,theme so depending on the theme you can,actually,just hit the customize button,and the theme will allow you to update,the footer,so currently we have the debut theme,installed,and if you go to the footer,unfortunately it actually doesn't let,you update the,copyright information even when we click,on,theme settings you can update the social,media icons let's say you want to add,something,but it does not allow you to update the,copyright information,now if you are using a page theme most,likely you will be able to just simply,edit the,copyright information there will be a,field where you can just add or remove,information,but in this case we're actually going to,go into the code and update it there,so if you go back to the themes,customization page,let's say you were somewhere else again,you'd click on online store,and it would automatically bring you to,this page you'll want to click on,actions,and then hit edit code now i know that,this seems a little scary but it really,isn't,especially when you're updating,something that is only really just a,line of text,so go ahead and hit edit code,and from there you'll be brought to all,of the shopify theme files,in the search files field type in footer,and click,on the footer.liquid file,so again if you're not used to coding or,you're not familiar with,uh shopify store files this may look a,bit overwhelming,but to find uh what we're looking for a,little more quickly you can hit,the command or control f key,and type in powered by or just powered,is even,enough and it'll actually bring you to,the section that we want to update,so if you look here this is the,copyright symbol,this is the date and this,is your shop name along with a link to,your shop name,so again we're looking at the copyright,symbol,the year and then your shop name and the,link,around the shop name on the next line we,have the powered by,shopify link so again that would be,this portion right here,so let's say we wanted to add you know,website created by,by me let's say,now you'll notice her

wife and I started just art pottery back in 1997 ,okay so we were like one of the real early ones so
I remember like when eBay was starting and paypal ,was starting and some of the software development
like I got to I got to be involved a lot of really ,cool things at the beginning of e-commerce
you know and we without any insight at all ,like there's no when people say well man you must
have had some great vision no I don't even know ,why I just we started a website just it just made
sense you know we saw eBay and we're like oh well ,I'm just gonna make my own website and then
there was a point in time where there was like ,these internet antique malls where like they were
just basically heavy little shop and I remember ,I went on one of those and in the first month I
had 15 000 in sales I think I probably did more ,than the rest of their thing come by so they're
like you know what they I got involved with an ,interview with them and they're asking like for
you know my insight and some ideas and they did ,exactly what I didn't want to do like the way
they changed it like it was a big negative to my ,part my side of the business so that kind of made
us think well I just need to go get my own website ,which we did and then for years every year
our sales just kind of doubled and doubled ,and doubled from the very beginning we were
like just you know trying to kind of view it ,as just you know helping people because what we
sell is antique and collectible art pottery and ,some contemporary stuff and it's you know it's not
something you just go to Walmart or target and buy ,right so it's a little it's a little unique in
that respect so it was an interesting ride you ,know so we started the website and then to try
to promote our website you know we did all the ,standard content writing stuff and when you're

choose the demo project and if I go to,the demo project it will show you,widgets and you can arrange the widgets,any way you want to now up here at the,project dashboard this is a drop-down,box that leads to all of our tools and,mainly the first tool you would go to,would be to keyword research get,suggestions and type in a keyword here,and you'll find a lot of related,keywords you can put in a competitor,website and then the competitor will,then show the words that the competitor,seems to have optimized their website,for and then finally you'll have in your,keyword basket a whole list of keywords,that you can sort by ke I just hit the,top of the column the higher the Kei the,better k keyword efficiency index it,means that there are a lot of searches,for this word for instance email,etiquette but there are very few people,who are trying to pay on Adwords and bid,the price up for for that keyword on,paid search and we figure that if there,is no no competition on paid search then,there is probably very little,competition for SEO relatively speaking,as well now once you leave the keyword,research tool go to the rank tracker and,in rank tracker then you could go to the,brief and then in the rank tracker then,you can go to settings and in settings,choose the keywords that you want and,then create search engines we've created,here this is this is actually not good,this is just google com USA you do not,want to do that you want to choose a,specific place so that the results are,even across the board every time you,scan otherwise they will just randomly,choose a google com server somewhere in,the u.s. so what you do is you would,choose for instance your country and,then say,a I want desktop results and then you,can put in the name of your town peoria,illinois for instance and then yours if,English is the average browser of the,first people that are using the searches,then then leave that English otherwise,change the language and then click Add,you can't do that in the demonstration,I'm doing now but also in columns here,you can choose not only the country,you're in to show local monthly searches,as a column but you could also Peoria,Illinois and then and then it will you,can choose PR e illinois or peoria,arizona or peoria county illinois etc,and this will then show the results for,local searches which is now the united,states in this example but then it would,just show for Peoria County Illinois how,many people in that area are searching,for these keywords and that if you have,a brick-and-mortar business especially,could be the most important number and,meanwhile then verbal googly New York,desktop these are the results and the,green arrows and red arrows represent,what has happened since the last time,you scan unless you're deliberately,comparing it with a custom date and so,it's a very versatile tool and you can,also compare your competitors how well,they're doing for each keyword and and,so this becomes an amazing tool and this,ends part one of our d

all right so welcome back guys to start,with the QA based off of the Shopify,store setup as well as the store,conversion tips if you guys had any,questions on that so let's go ahead and,begin begin with that okay chef has a,question what is the best view of the,app for Shopify I'm gonna answer some of,these questions to the best knowledge,that I know because p OD thomas has a,lot of knowledge on this but just my,experience I had a little experience,with pob just with gear bubble and,printful there's this I called guten I,would not recommend using that because,their platform is very not user friendly,at all at least not right now,so printful is pretty cool gear but was,pretty cool I think these are the things,that I'd used for paramdham and products,for summer products that we tested,before and it worked pretty well for me,especially when it comes to mugs gear,bob was amazing but I will also look at,the pricing I think there are around the,same prices look at their processing,time look at the cost of goods what,makes more sense for you but these two,will be the ones that I kind of,recommend but for more information on,peoria which we will we could ask thomas,more about that so yeah there's a lot of,different beauties out there and another,big one is pillow profits and Thomas,actually knows the founder of pillow,profits pillow profits it's really cool,because they have you know they have the,pillows and right now they're doing a,lot of these shoes like the Chuck,Taylors shoes as well as women's boots,so that apparently is a big thing right,now we have not tested those Oh question,how many delivered I'm for gear bubble,I if I remember correctly but just,double-check this I think it was about,five to seven days for delivery time,they stood business days and maybe a,little bit longer on the site that's,what it says I remember during that time,when I was doing it they said okay so,this is how many businesses for them to,process it and then they take about I,don't know two to five more business,they were seven business days to ship it,and after calculation during that time,maybe they change I don't know double,check on this I was like okay that's,about two to three weeks still kind of,like drop shipping but I think they're,just saying that just in case it takes,longer I do believe they are faster than,drop shipping from Aliexpress so cool,what other questions with that Oh what,app to use for upsell oh yeah so there,are a lot of different thoughts on,upsells I so the ones that I would,recommend is one quick upsell that's the,one we're gonna use in our store,following this year we just didn't have,a chance to integrate it all so the,difference here's the thing regular,upsell apps they work but the problem is,a lot of these apps they slow your load,time down right and I'm a person that's,I would rather than purchase first and,then I can retarget them later versus,trying to get them to buy more in the,beginning and end up losing a sale so a,lot of these ups
