HOW TO ADD PARALLAX EFFECT IN SHOPIFY - SHOPIFY TUTORIAL FOR BEGINNERS

how you doing graduates so today i'm,going to show you how to add a parallax,section on your store and this now the,now these snippets that we're going to,be releasing in the future and today,they're all compatible with every theme,now of course every once in a while you,may run into an issue but as always just,leave a comment in the comment section,below and we'll respond with support and,help and you know get you back up and,running now,this i'm going to be using dawn theme as,it's the new shopify 2.0 ready theme and,we all love dawn it has a lot of great,features but it's lacking a lot of those,premium,uh you know theme section features right,so you know here's dawn it looks pretty,bland kind of boring now in this video,series you're gonna be able to add all,these different sections and we got,parallax custom html and so much more,but today we're focusing on parallax and,i'm going to show you step by step how,to add this particular section to your,your theme and again i'm using dawn,theme but this does apply to all themes,so,anyways let's get right to it shall we,so,what you're going to have you're going,to have,all types of you know options so as you,can see the parallax feature you'll have,an option to use an image you also have,an option to use a video,you can set the minimum height you can,crop the image you know depending on,which way you want to crop it you can,set now for videos you can actually set,the start time and the end time you can,loop it you can play it when it's only,visible so that way you know here at,ecom graduates we focus on speed we want,you to you know have a very optimized,store and you don't want things loading,unless they're visible there's no point,in loading something if it's not visible,so that's exactly what it is and then we,also lazy load the video to to improve,even more performance,you can set the uh the max with um set a,title different different uh title sizes,descriptions description sizes your,button text where it goes to,the color and different overlay,opacities you can blur it and you know i,just want to show you these settings now,i'm going to get to the tutorial now,when you go to the download and it's,free yes it's free for now for now it's,free uh you will have your folder,parallax with media you'll have a,another folder called sections now if,you use theme kit they should look,familiar to you i do have a tutorial on,how to use theme kit so just click here,somewhere you'll see a video on how to,use themekit,so right here so you have a section file,and then you have this one simple uh,file now what you want to do is you want,to get some sort of code editor a text,editor does work but if you really are,going to be getting into the development,i highly advise you use vs code or you,know sublime or some sort of text code,editor for this tutorial because a lot,of people have notepad on windows and,i'm sure they have a notepad on mac,i'm going to use notepad,so you just want to open up notepad,right here

hey guys Marwan here again in today's,video I'm gonna show you how to add a,parallax section on your Shopify store,without using any app and it's gonna,take you just two minutes to add this,section so what's The Parallax section,I'm going to show with you here on the,scrub theme,this is The Parallax section,as you can see as you scroll there is,like a little bit animation on this,background image and it gives a great,look to your Shopify store so in this,tutorial we're gonna add this section to,a Shopify store and I'm gonna use the,dawn theme,so let's start I already prepared the,tutorial here so you can just copy and,paste the codes so the first step we're,gonna do we're gonna go to actions edit,code,under sections click on add a new,section,name it,parallax,click done,remove this code,and we're gonna replace it with the code,in this file,and that's it I already modified the,code here so it could be uh compatible,with any Shopify theme that you can use,so that's it we already finished this,now we're gonna go to the theme editor,I'm gonna close this one,okay this is the dawn theme,now you just need to go to uh click add,sections,and The Parallax section already appear,here,so let me move it a little bit on the,top so we can see The Parallax effect,now you click on Parallax you choose,your desired image that's for example,choose this one,select,and from here you can add the heading,the subheading you can choose the tag,here,there are a lot of things you can modify,here let's make for example,summer sale,and now,only click on Parallax you can change,the image head the hidden text size,there are a lot of things you can modify,here you can move the text to the right,to the left,let me first click save and make a,preview so we can see the section,and it's working great,on the theme editor now it appears okay,you can also enable the overlay over the,image here or you can disable it or you,can even choose the color for the image,overlay let's say for example this one,we can choose the overlay opacity,or you can disable it you can change the,heading color the subheading Etc let's,change the subheading color here,you can also change the text position on,horizontal or on the vertical,leather spacing,there are a lot of things you can modify,from here you can change the image here,at least for example 500 now it's gonna,be bigger,you can also add the button here,shop now,and Link it to product collection or any,page,let me change though,button color here,okay that's great,so the section is here and it's working,great,I also added the code so you can add a,second Parallax if you would like to,just below this,let's say for example this image,so you can have two images Parallax here,you have the choice to add and add a,heading or not,and change the color as well,as you can see here I added the second,Parallax just below it,as you can see here that's looks great,or you can even for example if doesn't,look good you can remove the second,parallax,and you can add t

hey guys here we've got Teigen we're,from shoppi hunt I'm here with my,husband Gabriel hi guys and today we're,going to be reviewing a very cool team,apparently so far is the name of the,game is called it's called parallax yes,sorry it's 160 dollars and parallax is a,stalling team featured a long format,homepage with unparalleled flexibility,and control let the products tell a,story in a peaceful detail oh cool,so this theme is actually supported by,its PI group called out of the sandbox I,don't like that name yes pretty cool,okay already original in the name and,this one includes four different styles,yeah we've got Aspen Madrid Vienna and,Los Angeles okay cool cool names again,so here we have a lot of stores isn't,this theme actually pretty cool when you,look at stores that are actually live,versus the demo that's it,I for one have a problem we I like to,look at the aesthetics I see the,pictures and the visuals before I,actually see the the bare bones of the,theme so you know sometimes I have,problem like you know being able to,visualize something other than the,images that are already there yeah it's,great to have a look at the stores,already using the themes with hard work,and actually in customization so it's,actually pretty good let's have a look,at the demo of these of this theme so,this one hopefully is gonna be my dream,let's see okay so this is my dream and,the whole idea is tell a story and Wow I,think it does okay I love the product on,the background how it looks it works,here this looks to me like the kind of,store for very unique kind of product,right yeah yeah definitely the more,one-off artisans you know the height of,the high ticket pieces yeah exactly so,or even the ones that have more like,like customization in this case you see,all these like handmade products like,for Mac for iPhone it looks it looks,beautiful isn't it Oh completely I would,personally buy something from this shop,for you there you go,we have see here right now this is,called Nordic and this is one of the the,real teams it's actually a real website,Nordic God not Doric - time and yet same,situation look at if they watch on the,background yeah it looks fantastic,doesn't it it looks very very very nice,okay I like the way display I like the,way that the watches are the main,characters here in in the picture okay,so this is called Madrid let's click on,one of the products I'm trying to follow,the product in so does not ideal okay,Hugh is I would prefer to us in the,product a bit I mean higher yeah I guess,it looks like they've kind of gone for,let's give you a good taste before we,find the product yeah let's go sister I,mean like this storytelling part and,okay wow this is beautiful it looks like,I mean like a like a landing page of,iPhone 6 okay just the iPhone 7 or,iPhone 10 the I expect to see in the,future so it looks fantastic nice great,places for the photos and yeah very cool,and I have this with me here so I like,zooming I like being able to have a,really

How to Add Parallax Effect to Shopify Dawn Theme Image Banner

hello my shopify users in this tutorial,i am going to show you how you can apply,parallax effect,to,dawn theme,for those of you who don't know what,parallax effect is it is,this as you scroll,you can see that image,kinda,stays there,and the rest of the page kind of scrolls,over it,so,i have this dawn theme here you can see,this is usually how the default,is so it scrolls with the page,um on this page you'll notice i have,these other animations if you're,interested in all,this other stuff please check out the,links in my description i have a couple,of other videos,so in this video we are going to focus,on how we can apply the parallax effect,to this top banner,one difference,mainly between,this dawn theme and,this debut theme is,that this image here is a background,image while dawn theme this image is an,html image tag,so,it is much easier to apply powerless,effect on this and,on dawn theme it takes a little more,work and that's the reason i did not,apply to,this banner the effect earlier,so let's get into it how we can achieve,this,right click here it doesn't matter which,browser you're using i am using chrome,so in here it will open up this dev,console and,click on this div that says banner media,and when you select that open this,and you will see this bunch of paths,here so shopify,has different sizes created for that,image banner so what you're going to do,is,click on say,750 you see the 750 right click open a,new tab,you can see it opens this up,go back,and then click on say another version,you see these are width so say 2000,and i will open that,it opens up a bigger version of the,image,so i will tell you later where we are,going to use these so what i'm trying to,get here is this path of these images,you could totally,do this differently you could just,copy the paths from here put them in a,notepad file or something so you can use,them later it's up to you,so first thing very important that you,would want to,create a backup of your theme and i have,already created a backup of the theme,right here so you will just go here and,then duplicate and then rename it to,whatever you want i have,already done that this is where i'm,going to be working in so i am going to,go in here,and then you are going to,go in the file image,banner dot liquid which will be in your,sections you will see image,banner.liquid,in here,go down,to,the line that says around here,settings.image is not equal to blank,and,in here what you will do is this part,here where the image is,you will,first,get rid of this,it's all the way from here till this is,the closing tag,and,we will get rid of that and then i'm,going to save it,and then let's go take a look at the,page,and you'll see that it disappeared of,course so,that's what i was,looking for now we go back,and go,into,section,dash image dash banner i have it open,right here but this will be in your,assets,section.image.banner.css,so in here,go all the way down,and down here i am going to,copy paste some codes,this part here,

hey guys what is going on it's hamish,from income stream surfers i wanted to,make a video today about doing this,effect on your shopify website on dawn,specifically let me just show you the,live website when i hit refresh,when i scroll the background scrolls,with the,web page and this looks really really,nice and you can brand with a texture,you can download any text you want,you can use canva i guess for textures,etc etc and it just gives a really nice,branded kind of feel to your website it,also looks really really high quality,okay not when you zoom in but obviously,you'd have to design everything else,around this background i've just given,you this as an example a transparent,project,product on a background like this is,perfect like literally perfect for this,kind of thing,okay so let's get into how to actually,do this,oh this also works on mobile just so you,know as you can see this is mobile,okay so to do this it does require a,little bit of code but it's just copy,and pasting into the back end of your,dawn theme,the first thing you need to do to make,this happen is go to your settings and,you need to upload a,image that you want to use as a,background so for example i go to upload,file you can't see my,file,thing right now but if i just double,click this and upload this picture again,and then as you can see it says hello,this is this is already here but i'm,uploading it but it's going to take a,while once it's uploaded there we go all,you need to do is press copy link,and then you're going to go to this code,and you can put this in a notepad or,whatever you prefer google document,and where it says url here you just want,to highlight it and then press ctrl v,and you want to scroll down to the,second one and highlight the entire url,again and press ctrl v,and then just press ctrl a to select,everything and then press ctrl c to copy,everything,and then i am going to go to my shopify,back end code editor,so i'm going to go here and i'm going to,press edit code,you probably know how to do this by now,and then i'm going to type in base css,here so click on base css i'm going to,scroll down to line at 269.,yours will,not have this obviously,online 269 press enter two times,and then press ctrl v,and then,we're going to actually i'm just going,to very quickly delete that and i'm,going to press save so that i can see,my,store so funky,this is it without the effect this is,just you know normal,uh shopify dawn theme layout and then,control v and i'm gonna press save again,and then i'm going to refresh and it's,not going to work i knew it oh there we,go,thank god it worked okay so i'm just,gonna very quickly inspect this and i'm,going to have a look on mobile as you,can see it's also working on mobile it,looks really really nice uh you can make,your own uh pattern you can do whatever,you want i do have a video on how to do,a very similar thing on with the footer,but i think i'll make an updated video,and yeah if you're wondering where to,get patterns i

hello and welcome to the out of the,sandbox video guide to the paralax 3.0,Shopify theme home page setup now using,Shopify sections today we're going to,take a look how you can go from fresh,upload of the new version of the,parallax scene and then use the built in,customized theme settings to end up with,a version of the homepage that looks,just like this Madrid demo that we have,as one of the parallax demo shops so,we're going to be using this Madrid demo,as our model we're going to go through,all the settings and end up with a,version that looks just like this one so,before we get started let's take a look,at what we're already working with on,the Shopify platform so here we are on,the admin panel and I'm going to start,by showing you that in this products,area we already have products on the,platform so these products have titles,descriptions images prices tags all of,the attributes you would expect to see,with a product on Shopify additionally,those products have been categorized,into some collections so these are the,collections that we're going to use to,fill in the navigation and to show off,some features of the homepage so if you,needed any assistance with adding,products to the platform or categorizing,those products into collections check,out the Shopify documentation because,that's where you'll find all the,resources you need to help you out in,that area so besides products and,collections if you go to this online,store area here and two blog posts,you'll see that we already have a couple,of blog posts on the platform these blog,posts have titles content you'll notice,the blog posts also have these excerpts,here and I'll show you why that's,important a little later on,in the pages area here we have some,pages that we'll be using to fill in the,navigation and to populate the home page,and finally in this navigation area we,have various menus created these are,used for the main menu for the footer,menu I'll show you those as we go,through the configuration of the home,page so then into the steams link here,you'll see this is your themes panel and,I'm going to go ahead and upload a fresh,version of the theme so depending on how,you purchase the theme this step might,be a little bit different for you if you,purchase 15 through utter the sandbox,com you would have received an email,with a download link and that download,link would get you this zip file and you,can upload the zip file just like you,see here alternatively if you purchase,the scene through the Shopify theme,store you can expect a theme to appear,on your themes panel automatically so,here it is uploading now I'm going to go,ahead and publish the theme so that we,can see all of our changes on our live,version of the site so let's take a look,at a preview here so this is a default,appearance of the parallax theme so,without any settings configured yet all,right so let's flip back over to the,admin panel and go to customize scene,here and see what settings we have to,play with so

How to add Parallax Effect in PageFly page #1 Shopify Page Builder

foreign,hi welcome to the pagefly video tutorial,series,in this video I will guide you on how to,add a parallax effect to a section in,pagefly,open up the pagefly page editor,from the main dashboard click on pages,and select the page you want to add a,parallax effect so the very first thing,we want to do is,head over to the add element tab on the,left toolbar grab a full section and,drag and drop it onto the page,click the section and check the,breadcrumb to ensure you have selected,the right element then navigate over to,styling and scroll down,under the background style choose,Parallax then upload your image,to make the image show fully we will add,a little bit of padding on both ends,let's try 200 pixels on the top and 200,pixels on the bottom and that should,give us a little bit more room to show,the image remember that this effect only,works on live view so to see the effect,I will go ahead and hit publish to see,the page in real time,so here we can see The Parallax effect,as we scroll down,it's quite subtle but the image in the,background stays fixed as the rest of,the page moves,and it's just a really cool design,feature to add to your page,now let's go back to the page editor,remember when adding these margin and,padding parameters it will affect your,device from a mobile view so what we,want to do is switch to the mobile view,and just adjust the section padding like,this,now publish the page again and check the,live page you can also check it on,mobile to see how it looks,to customize the effects go to settings,and here you can set the speed for The,Parallax effect and add overlay colors,if you want,foreign,the Page hit save and publish the page,then check it on desktop and mobile to,ensure the pages are responsive,this is the end of the video tutorial,don't forget to subscribe our YouTube,channel to get more new video tutorials,these are other videos on our Channel,you also may need thanks for watching
