what's up christian here and today i'm,going to share with you the top five,themes to use,if you are a clothing store and i'm,going to show you at the end of this,video how to get the theme,use it customize it for free before even,purchasing anything,let's get started,all right so always as always just want,to preface these uh,theme suggestions these are just our,opinions and some of the things that,we've used within shopify,and again we try to stick with themes,that shopify provides,in their store they usually tend to have,the best support,and the best organization and structure,um,we try to stay away from the,themeforest.com which is i mean it could,be nothing wrong with them,but we just haven't had the best,experience with those type of things so,starting at number one,is warehouse now warehouse is designed,to be,uh for large catalogs of products so if,your store or clothing store that has a,lot of different products,maybe you have shirts dresses pants hats,jewelry a little bit of everything then,warehouse is going to be really good for,you so i'm going to jump in here and,kind of show you,how the back end or not back in just an,example,right of a preview of the of one of the,theme styles for warehouse,so this one has um again a lot,an emphasis right on the large catalog,so as you can see,one of the main things here is a search,bar right where you can actually,uh highlight different categories and,search within those categories so,um besides the search and the nice,navigation,and then log in the account the card,over here then,on this home page we also have a good,breakdown of different categories right,so these different categories again,could be from beanies and accessories,to running and shoes to actually phone,cases,so a large wide variety of products i,love that,i really really like on this one in,particular um,what they call the uh the different,color,options for the for the products so it,shows you right there,from within the the product collection,where this shoe in particular,could be different products different,colors i'm sorry not different different,colors,it shows you the reviews and actually,has the option to show you,how many units are in stock so again,talking about a large inventory,of products it might be good to showcase,you know how many you have,in stock i also like the option that you,know it shows you add to cart if it's,just one,one variant or if it has different,colors maybe different sizes and things,like that,then the button changes to say choose,options so when you click on choose,options,it actually takes you to the product,page,where you have just more information,about the product,i love this zoom feature you can see,this on,amazon so again this theme reminds me,very much so of of amazon and again a,large inventory theme,then this one also has integrated,customer reviews so you don't have to,add any additional app,to get customer reviews on the theme,nice some of the other things that i'm,going to talk to you ab

SHOPIFY | Shopify Themes Changing Theme After Site Created

hi guys in this video I want to quickly,look at changing a theme let's just say,that you work site where you want it,it's all singing it stores a whole,dancing there's everything you want and,then you decide to change your thing,okay,so all we've got on here is a couple of,videos sorry a couple of pictures and,some link text that's all we've got on,this site I want to change the theme and,I want to use the original theme so log,in to the administrator dashboard into,themes we'll scroll down to what was the,original theme which comm was the debut,so what we're going to do now is we're,going to preview the site,and this is what we see,let's now go back to here and decide to,publish what you would expect is,everything to transfer over but as you,can see that is not always the case so,if we now publish this site or this,theme my hope is that all those pictures,and everything we've done on the minimal,theme will just propagate over however I,found this on several occasions so if,you are going to choose the theme or you,want to consider layout design text,graphics etc my advice is do it ahead of,time and decide what you want because,the last thing you want is to have a,fully functional theme you decide to,change it and then you lose everything,if we go back to our admin section,and then go back to our minimally,theoretically everything should go back,the way it was before,the thing was changed so if we're coming,to the themes section we go into minimum,we go into actions and preview,we will get a preview of what we hope,that we will see okay so what we will do,now is choose publish,this is now propagating it getting all,the information that was there before,from before we changed we can see the,theme as it was published,and then what we will do is we will go,back to the home page and there we are,so if you decide what you want to do,ahead of time,is that will be your best option because,if you build the site and change the,theme and nothing transfers over you've,got to start the build process all over,again so think about all sort of theme,you want colors layout text videos,images do all that ahead of time because,the last thing you want to do it's great,as I make you look exactly what you want,and then lose it all because you've,decided to go for another theme okay so,there's a bit of food for thought okay,guys thanks a lot and I'll see you in,another Shopify video

How To Add Custom Fields To Products On Shopify

hey guys christian here and today we're,going to go over a fairly new update,where you can add custom fields to your,products and of course i'm going to show,you some examples at the end let's get,started,custom fields or meta fields enable you,to customize the functionality and,appearance of your shopify store by,letting you save specialized information,that isn't usually captured by the,shopify admin you can use metafields for,internal tracking or to display,specialized information on your online,store in a variety of ways for example a,candle seller might want to display a,burn time for candles on their product,pages,while a grocery store may want to,display a product expiration date for,canned goods in our example we're,actually going to add,model information recitan information in,a collapsible menu to the product page,so you can actually see that dynamic,data on a per product basis which you,can do before all right and then for,those of you who don't know exactly what,i'm talking about i'm going to show you,here in our totally 90s kit website so,i'm going to click on the little eyeball,here i'm going to open up,and find one of our products i'm gonna,go to the fresh prince of bel air,and click on the yellow shirt,and when we talk about custom fields if,you think about all these right here so,the fresh prince design d this is,technically a field this is the title of,that product right uh this is another,field this will be the pricing,and so forth so each of these things,right here are technically fields now,what you couldn't do before was add,custom ones and that's what we're going,to show you how to do today there's two,ways to access the actual meta fields i,keep saying custom fields but custom,fields and meta fields are the same,thing,but if we go here to settings,and you'll see that now we have a meta,fields option,it's going to be pretty fairly new so,as you can see some of the,options here are still coming soon so,there will be some videos in the future,that we'll be talking about meta fields,and how to use them for collections,customers and orders but for now we have,products and variants as the only,options that we can add extra midi,fields so we're gonna go to products,and then in here we can add a new,definition,and then in here we can do,let's see product,um,sizing,in the description you can add a,description if you like uh this would be,for again people who are inputting this,information,you they might need an extra description,for it so let's put,and then you have the option to select,the content type um,you have a lot of different things in,here as color date and time file json,files,measurements number rating reference,text true or false and urls depending on,what you pick based on these content,type it's going to be the exact content,so if you pick url for example you will,have to type in a full url for that,custom,field to actually work so in this in,this instance we're just going to do,product sizing so it's going to be,gene
