hi my name is Robert O'Brien today I'm,going to show you how to list one item,one product into three different,collections I've created a wine shop,website here to show you how I've done,this this website has set up a very,simple navigation here home on sale,Champaign white Reds and maker maker is,the vendors this setup can be used also,for a clothing store or a shoe store on,sale men's women's children's brands,could be coach Polo Ralph Lauren that,kind of thing,shoes could be men's women's kids or,tennis basketball jogging this kind of,menu setup can be used in a variety of,applications variety of stores okay so,for today I picked I've created one,product,it's Carlo and Rossi burgundy wine it is,a type of wine which is red red wine as,opposed to white wine and I've also put,this product on sale a lot of people,like to shop sale items and the product,vendor is Carlo and Rossi as you can see,and let me go ahead and create three,collections for you the collections are,what drive the navigation that we saw,back here so I'm going to create a,collection for you that is Reds on sale,and a vendor collection Carlo and Rossi,okay the first collection I've created,is red I'm going to simply title it red,and go down to the conditions here and,we've got a product type I selected,product type is equal to red very simple,don't over complicate this part up here,there will be a Save button go ahead and,save that so I'm just going to trigger,the Save button,okay there it is hit the save and done,done okay,second collection I created was called,on sale sale is good buddy use the tags,okay so you put the title in I put a,little some text and I used,this one called product tag and is equal,to on sale make sure you use the same,tag for on sale all the time and you can,use the navigation of the drop down,there in the future to make sure you use,the same tag it's a very sensitive to to,spelling and case so go ahead and create,that tag and you're done,now the third tag we're going to create,excuse me the third collection we're,going to create is a vendor collection,and this vendor is Carlo and Rossi,vineyard I put down the title as Carly,and Rossi put one comment in the,description that it's an American winery,and the product vendor is what I,selected here if you recall we use,product type and we use product tag but,this one we're going to use product,vendor and we chose Carlo and Rossi,again if you use the drop down here,you've got several of them pick the,right one,spelling consistency helps Carlo and,Rossi and then if you had to say button,you'll be fine,okay after we created this these three,collections we're going to create the,Carlo and Rossi product in this case it,was the Carlo and Rossi burgundy wine,and we wrote a little quick description,that it's on sale right now we put a,product picture in there we put a price,and then we put the compare to price,this helps drive the on sale item on the,home screen to show it better but to get,these items into the right c

How to edit Shopify 2.0 theme design?

hi this is camilla from pelican commerce,and in this tutorial i'm going to,explain to you how to edit,or customize product pages on the new,shopify 2.0 themes,as you can see this is the main,dashboard of a shopify store that we are,using as an example so whenever we want,to modify product pages we need to go on,our left corner below sales channel and,click on online store,this will show us all the themes as you,can see this is the published theme and,if we scroll down we will be able to see,all the things that are installed on,this store,in this case we're going to work on the,motion theme so we click on customers,as you can see this will open the theme,editor for the home page but in this,case if we want as we want to work on,the product pages we need to click here,go to products,and click on default product,this will open our default product page,and,as you can see,we will be able to modify all the,product information that appears on the,product page so for example we can hide,the price,we can move it like to any other place,another position,we can,hide the description or,show the description or even we can add,any other blog,and add another information that we're,going to,also we can match the apps that we have,installed into the shopify store so for,example if we have a product reviews app,installed we can add the reviews on the,storage,by um clicking on the add section or add,blog and matching the app into the,theme,another important thing to mention is,that um these new 2.0 themes allow us to,add sections into our product pages so,if we scroll down,below the product information we will be,able to see like for example this hero,banner with information or the,testimonial sections or also any product,recommendations,so we can remove the testimonials if we,want to,or show them again,we can add any other section too like,for example if we click on add section,you're gonna add any of this,sections into a product page,and this will be shown dynamically on,all the other products so for example if,we add um,a feature product or,we can also add um,any blog post,this will also be shown dynamically on,all the other products that is,everything for today thank you so much,and i'll see you next tutorial

Shopify tutorial - How to change your store logo

hi there Shopify store builders I am,going to show you how to work logos into,your new website so I'm at my Shopify,development store here I'm at home,screen I'm going to go to online and it,picks default themes so you're already,on your customized themes click that and,it'll open up the how to modify your,theme I'm using the debut theme this is,a fresh theme from Shopify I've already,put the store name in this populates,automatically from your settings so if,you put your store name in it'll come in,there the default is haunted store and,you can change that and I'll show you,how to do that today so you go to this,header section here and there's,basically two choices in this one three,choices you can have the logo align to,your to the left side or you can do it,to the center I like the left side,because it's doesn't take as much room,at the top of the page here you you,don't want this to be really long it's,very distracting especially for mobile,people so I like to keep it on the left,now if you want to change the size of,the fonts you go to general settings and,you go to typography and you can pick,out any font you like here let's pick,out lots of bold and let's even go,bigger and see what happens so you see,it well it made it larger so that it's,more prominent on your home screen it,also took up two lines and and took up,more real estate here at the top okay so,next I'm going to show you how to put a,logo in there that's an image of the,font so you go back to sections and,header and we are going to upload an,image okay I use Google Drive so my,images are going to be saved there I am,going to pick out this image that I've,recently made and there it is,and I'm going to open that now you see,it put the logo that was custom made,into there but because it's only a,hundred pixels wide a little bit small,so I'm going to bump it up to 300 and oh,there it is it got larger then you,simply hit the Save button and now,you've got a custom logo up there for,yourself it's always easy to change this,out if it doesn't look good what not you,can always change it going back to your,themes header so just a quick review,header alignment left and right that,moves things from here to there and if,you want to remove this image simply,push this button there it removes it now,you're back to type the font logos and,you can save that and you're all good to,go so that's how you change your font,logos your font from either logo to an,image thanks a lot

Shopify POS - Sorting products by Vendor Collection

hey Nancy this is what you need to do to,figure out consignment stuff so go to,your Shopify collection page by the way,I still have your login so I got in go,to your collection page and create a,collection okay I'm going to call this,the Bruce day collection I don't know if,I spelled his name right now you want to,type in the title and then you want to,go to this thing called sales channel,and just make it available on your point,of sale that's your POS in the store,make that done and then mmm and then you,want to go down here and you want to,create a product vendor product vendor,is equal to Bruce day and now save that,okay,now there is a collection called Bruce,day now you want to go to all your,products and then you want to find stuff,that Bruce Day makes so I'm assuming I,can find it this way,Bruce day okay so here is something that,he made excuse me I got the burps so he,made this one here you now want to put,this product into a vendor excuse me the,vendor being Bruce day oh I guess there,is no vendor called Bruce taste let me,make this Bruce day add Bruce day and,let's save him okay now we want to go,back down here and inventory him and you,want to do this Shopify inventory you,want to keep track of this,Shopify keeps track of this I think you,sold this so I'm going to make this zero,and this box here is interesting because,it allows your customers to buy things,that are out of stock so you know it's,kind of tricky I would say you should,not push this button if Bruce they,brought 20 of these things in you would,put 20 in here in the quantity and then,when you get to zero you don't have any,left to sell so you should be fine okay,next box that you want to make sure,that's good is I would change this,remove this Bruce day here because it's,become irrelevant because he's going to,be sorted under his vendor type or you,can do something like this and save that,now I just want to go back to,collections and make sure that Bruce Day,is now showing at least one Bruce Day,product under here yes it is showing,kaleidoscope projector lamp by Bruce day,okay so there we've fixed the,collections now when you want to check,to see how many things have sold you can,go by inventory and then you can filter,select here vendor and Bruce stay add a,filter and I believe you can even add,another filter here by date tag with no,you can't sorry,so inventory quantity so then you can do,this and then you can hit and then now,you're showing that you sold zero Bruce,day that you have zero in stock so maybe,this is one way you can review to see,how many things you've sold by that one,vendor sorry you can't just sort it by,by date the other way you might be able,to sort things is you just go to,products,and then filter by title and then you,can do filter by vendor product vendor,and then you can select brew stay again,here and add the filter and then you can,see that there's some products with the,brew stays name on it now if you really,want to get fancy you can do this exp
