All everyone Christian here.,And today,,I want to share with you,the latest themes to use.,If you are a clothing store,and you want to actually,stand out,,also stick around,to the end,for my personal,favorite theme right now,,So after the OWS 2.0 release,,there have been,a lot of new themes showing up,or popping up on the Shopify,theme store.,And the theme developers,are getting better,and better,when it comes,to making them more distinct,and just adding subtle features,and things to make them,look really good,and different from each other.,Because before I would say,,like a lot of these themes,have some,some of the same elements,and some of the same things,,but I feel like now,we're starting to,see a little bit more,wide gamut,of different themes out there,,and that's what we want,to talk about today.,Some of the top five,right now that we're loving,and you should check out,if you are a clothing store,or not a clothing store.,Really,,you want to check out,some really cool,themes right now.,So the first thing that we have,is Stockholm,by code supply code.,A couple of highlights here.,It's a very clean, minimalist,,has some subtle animations,and some unique sections.,Now, I do want to show you,this real quick.,So I'm going to click,on The View Demo Store.,By the way, it's $280,and then a lot of these themes,,like I've mentioned in the past,,they have different theme styles,and all the styles they're for,really is,just to kind of show you,a different look,and feel,of the site of the theme,before you actually,install it on on your store.,But a couple of things here.,These are the,,the unique sections,that I was talking about,the section right here,which just categorizes,your collection,so that Top's sales,,new arrivals and bags,and this kind of,store animations,and it just looks really cool,and nice,really cool,to just kind of navigate,through a section like this.,And they're using it.,And this particular style,on the very top,as is kind of like the hero,probably wouldn't recommend,something like this,for the hero.,But if you want to use a section,further down on your,on your home page,,I would definitely do,something like that.,This is another,sort of animation,that I was talking about,,just like this talk on,just rotating here,on this corner.,It just it just adds,an extra flair, right, to the,to the actual store.,And like I said,,when you hover over certain,things like the products,,you get this subtle,animation with the name,and then a little zoom,right there.,So just subtle things that,make this,theme just really pop for me.,And look at this.,Like when you hover over,the categories, bags, hat tops,,you actually get a picture,in the background,that moves with your cursor.,I've seen that being done,in other websites.,I've never seen it,done here on Shopify.,So that's actually really,,really cool.,We have a review section,popular and look at this,also subtle animation.,When I'm scrolling,,you get some sort,of parallax effect,with the images,that ar

Shopify Tutorial: Hiding a Long Description in Collapsible Accordion (on free themes)

hello guys today i'm doing a requested,video but i hope that this is going to,be helpful to a lot of people this is,for anyone that has a really long,product description right and it's,pushing the rest of the page down and,people need to you know really scroll,to kind of see more information about,the product it's even worse if your,description is up above your buttons,and then people don't actually see your,add to cart buttons and your quantity,field and stuff like that right so,you may want to somehow,contain this entire description,inside something like a collapsible row,an accordion a toggle drop down whatever,you want to call this kind of interface,you click it and it opens up your,description but when it's closed it,doesn't take up space,i'll also show you,a couple of different options for,example if you want a little bit of,preview text so if you want like a short,description here right,and then you want a read more,with the rest of your description,um then i'll show you how to do that as,well and i actually think that this is a,much nicer solution than simply this in,case you're wondering no i'm not talking,about just using the collapsible row,blocks because,this is very limited obviously you can't,put like this wasn't intended for a lot,of text and in this all you can do is,like bold and italic i am actually,talking about the main product,description,about this field and wrapping the output,in a collapsible row like this or,actually splitting it so as you can see,this first sentence from here,is the first sentence here,and then the rest of it starts from,lowdom altera,and this is a london altera here so,actually splitting it here in between,these paragraphs so that it outputs in,two different places,showing you how to do all of that oh and,i almost forgot to mention but you are,going to be able to set this classical,description,as uh enabled or disabled on a per,product basis so if some products have,short descriptions and you don't want,the collapsible accordion at all,then this will be false by default,actually,and to turn it on you will have to click,true right and this is using meta fields,so if you're interested,in one of the features of shopify 2.0,which is meta fields and this will also,be a small introduction to using emitter,field,in a real life scenario i'm going to be,using,dawn right you'll be able to follow this,tutorial exactly if you're using dawn or,if you're using any of the free,shopify 2.0,themes right like dawn craft,crave sense all of these they have the,same code they have the same settings,if you're using a different theme from a,different company not from shopify then,i think you're still going to be able to,use this tutorial and kind of apply the,same concepts to another theme it might,be a bit more difficult but,many of these collapsible rows are built,in similar ways and what we're actually,going to be doing in this tutorial is,copying the code,that does these collapsible row blocks,and simply wrapping it aroun

hey guys in this one i want to go,through some of the best shopify,themes that are completely free to use,so for this year there are a bunch of,free themes,you can upload these you can edit these,make them really unique but the best,part about them,is they are completely free to use so,you can basically set up your shopify,store,by just downloading one of these themes,and getting straight into it,and that's what we're going to do just,get straight into the video i will leave,some more information in the description,so you can go and check that out i'll,leave some links that might be,interesting and some more information,in the description apart from that let's,just get stuck into the first one which,is debut so debut is a super flexible,theme,and you can basically use this even if,you don't have a lot of products,but if you do have a lot of products it,can work for you too,they really call this debut because this,is one of the main themes that you're,gonna get when,starting out with shopify because of,that it's really,easy to customize this theme and it can,start small and grow with you so,even if you don't have a ton of products,right now it will still look really good,and then as you fill out your site if,you do want more products it's also,gonna have no issues whatsoever in,adding those in it's really easy to,rearrange everything when using debut,actually if you just want to start a,store using your smartphone and you,don't have a computer or,you know you just don't want to do that,you want to start a store really quickly,you can actually use debut on your,smartphone set up your store i've got,some more tutorials on that if you want,to check those out,just look through my videos or maybe,i'll put them in the description as well,but,debut is really customizable and you can,edit it right on your smartphone,if you are on a computer though you can,look between these,two different styles basically one is,called default and one is called light,and you can just see,how different styles can actually really,change the look and feel of a website,one of the things i like most about,davey really is that it's just not,really offensive,and it's not too salesy it looks really,nice and pleasant and welcoming as a,site,and of course you do have the store,there as well to put your products in,this store honestly looks completely,different to an actual store like this,is not amazon most,stores and businesses that are going to,be using shopify are kind of more,boutiquey style,kind of uh not as just mass market as,something that you'd find on amazon and,so,this type of theme i think really goes,well with most businesses that want to,actually use,shopify to sell items not only can you,start your store on here list your,products on here and it's obviously,really simple for the user it just has,that big item up there,shop and then you can go to shop but you,have that home page as well,where you can really just promote your,story and your brand,because obviously if yo

HOW TO CUSTOMIZE SIMPLE SHOPIFY THEME

3 Ways to Show Variant SKU on Product Pages - Shopify 2.0 Dawn Theme

all right what's up guys if you found,this video then you probably have the,type of store where you need to show,your customers the sku number maybe,underneath the product title like this,and this is common if you have a,wholesale store,or maybe if your store has products with,a lot of different colors a lot of,different patterns and maybe it's a,little bit confusing for customers and,so it would benefit them to,be able to check the exact skew number,to make sure that they're getting the,right color or whatever unfortunately,many shopify themes don't have this,built in already and i'm not sure why,because it's really easy to just output,this value using liquid code,so i don't know why they wouldn't,include this option so luckily it's easy,enough to do that you're gonna do it,yourself,okay and just to clarify i am talking,about this field here so under inventory,we have the sku field that's what we're,going to be outputting directly to the,product page in a variety of different,ways i'll show you how to,i'll give you some options,and this is how it looks like if your,product does not have variance and this,is how it looks like if your product,does have variance then it will be,attached to every variant here you will,have a different skew for every variant,normally,and by the way if you are using the,barcode instead of the sku you can still,follow this tutorial simply everywhere,in the code where i say,dot sku,you would write dot barcode instead so,really easy so i'm going to show a few,ways to do this from easy to slightly,more difficult and you can decide what,is the best way for your situation and,your requirements the first way would be,for a product that does not have,variance things like size or color if,your product does not have that then,it's going to be super easy for you to,do this we're just going to be using the,custom liquid block type okay so this is,available on all shopify 2.0 themes and,you're going to be able to simply copy,and paste a lot of my code or code along,with me and just fill up this custom,liquid field here to output the skew,also if you're using an older theme that,is not on shopify 2.0 i will briefly,explain what you can do but you will,need to dig around in your theme files a,bit,to find maybe the product title so that,you can add the code that i'm talking,about in this tutorial underneath that,product title right you just need to,find the right spot to put that code all,right so the next part of the tutorial,is going to be if you have variants okay,and i'm going to show you a couple of,options here,the clean and really nice looking way,is to create a custom block type right,here these blocks that you have,available to you uh we're going to be,creating our own custom one and you see,this one with the lightning bolt is one,that i've created myself and i use that,lightning bolt to kind of visually,separate it and make it easy to see that,this is not part of the theme this is,one that i added myself,so you're just goin

hey guys it's Paul from become Swift and,today I wanted to and a packet drop,shipping product review you know as a,marketer myself I'm very wary of the,marketing tactics of the psychological,tricks that they use in their copy and,their images in there you know sale,price and their email newsletters I'm,aware of it all I'm aware that I'm being,sold and it's pretty hard to sell me,okay like I'm a consumer of course I buy,things but I'm very strategic with,buying things and I know how to make,that decision I know how not to get,convinced but um apparently not actually,because this company,I'm not sponsoring them I don't even,care if you purchase them this Instagram,added basically said they're going out,of business they're having a last,blowout sale like a hundred dollars off,their watches so I was like man this is,a pretty good opportunity to buy some,watches I was considering to myself I,was like okay this is a Shopify store is,this his drop shipping store and I was,like maybe it's not and the reason I,thought not is because it said Godfrey,since 1923 and I was like but since 1923,I was like okay they established 1923,they probably had a bunch of artisans,watchmaking artisans you know crafting,this thing all the way back in the,nineteen hundreds and there's like a,history behind it there's a brand and,the website and everything looked really,good I could trust it I never heard of,the brand before I interacted with it,with like two or three times on the,website before I bought this thing like,men this is a legitimate company you,know this is not a job shipping store,this is the actual brand that's been,around since a long time but they fooled,me they fooled me okay this is not a,positive nor negative review of their,watches itself this is a review of their,marketing and their tactics and their,branding and I think there are some,lessons to learn here so right when you,open it you are greeted with two very,premium looking luxury brands watch,cases watch boxes it's nice like it's it,comes to customer experience it makes,makes it seem like you've got a legit,really good quality thing so right when,you unbox it,you get greeted with this little car,thing,it's just really nice and like the,thicknesses is of an actual credit card,like this thing is not a cheap little,paper one thing I would change is the,grammar is like you can clearly tell,somebody,non-english wrote this thing but you,know it's a nice touch so got a nice,little protective sleeve thing and then,you're greeted with the actual watch now,you've got this little nice little,banner thing going up like that and it's,actually a very nice looking watch like,I'm not even gonna lie it's a stainless,steel all over silver and nice it's very,nice it's very flexible very thin and,this reminds me of like a Daniel,Wellington watch in terms of quality,definitely looks pretty good,you know the whole perception I have of,this is you know pretty high quality so,let's look at the second one the same,thing goin

vintage skulls or skulls in general are,pretty much popular in design all of the,time especially when it comes to those,rugged style skull t-shirts the only,problem is unless you're a master,illustrator or a master at some Vector,software it can be pretty challenging to,get this vintage skull aesthetic well we,have solved that problem with kiddo,because we have so many vintage style,skulls and fonts and other rugged,elements that you're going to need to,make stellar and stunning t-shirt,designs and I'm going to show you step,by step exactly how to design one in,this video now if you're new to Kittle,I'm so glad you're here that's our,design tool that works in your browser,you get started for free using a link,down in the description and then follow,along with this tutorial so let's get,started,all right the first thing I want to show,you is the t-shirts category in Kittle,and we can go down into these filters,and his goals and then you can see all,of these different templates and designs,that we have already made with skulls a,lot of the designers creators and Kittle,are already making as you can see tons,of designs with skulls and they're great,for t-shirt designs maybe like biker,jackets things like that but we're gonna,hit new project up here and I'm gonna,show you how easy it is to make your own,so let's go down here let's pick the,poster size and then we're going to,switch the orientation up here to,Vertical 16 by 20 is a great apparel,size to get started with and then over,in the elements if I click on,illustrations scroll down a little bit,then we have these skulls here and if I,just click this little arrow to expand,it you can see there are tons of schools,and if you'll notice there are pieces of,skulls that we can use like these Jaws,right here to mix and match with other,pieces that we want and so I'm going to,show you exactly what I mean by that,before we get started with full layout,so let's maybe pick one that we like,maybe this guy right here with the cool,kind of peaky blinders newspaper hat so,we added him and then let's add a jaw,that we might want to use like this one,with the sharp teeth or maybe we want to,use this one that's broken jaw or,something that very reminiscent of uh of,like the peaky Blinder show let's get,rid of this one and then if I size up,this skull head then I can move the jaw,in place send it to the back you can,right click and send it back and so you,can see how easy it is to kind of mix,and match you can open it a little bit,you can move it around make it bigger,smaller whatever you want to do and,that's an easy way to use our kind of,like skull Builder inside of Kittle it's,really easy like that but what we're,going to do is we're going to pick this,pre-made skull design with the snake,around it because we're gonna go with a,snake Vibe with text around it with like,other kind of cool things and so what I,want to do up here is give it some wings,now just a note here we don't want to,pick some super simple W
