76 percent of online consumers said that,what they care about the most in a,website design is how easy it is for,them to find what they are searching for,yes 76 and this tells you how much it is,important to make sure that when people,land on your store they can easily and,smoothly move around and they can easily,explore what you offer and get to know,your brand more and this honestly can,never be done without a very clear and,organized navigation menu,hi there I am jihab and on this YouTube,channel I share with you videos related,to e-commerce entrepreneurship and more,and in today's video I'm going to show,you how to set up your Shopify,navigation menus in the best way,possible but quickly and before jumping,to my PC I want to tell you some things,that you need to keep in mind while,organizing your navigation manuals my,first tip for you is to always put your,customers in mind put yourself in your,customers shoes and ask yourself what,would make sense for your customers what,would they be searching for let's say,for example you sell it jewelries so,most of probably your customers will,want to find your products based on the,product type so you need to have a Rings,collection a bracelets collection maybe,a watch collection in this case you need,to link to all of these collections,within your navigation menu but not only,that let's say I'm shopping online for,Rings there might be a specific kind of,rings that I'm interested in so maybe I,want to buy a wedding ring maybe I want,to buy an engage engagement ring or,maybe I want to buy an everyday ring in,this case you need to have the,subcollections within your navigation,menu as well and in order to do that you,need to create a multi-level navigation,menu and I'm going to show you exactly,how to do that when you move to my,screen my second tip for you is the,following when you are naming your menu,navigation tabs always use names that,make sense to your customers so let's,say for example you want to link to your,wedding rings collection simply use,these same exact words to name your tab,this will not only help your customers,to find what they are searching for and,understand what you are selling but it,will also help your store for SEO,purposes my third tip for you is the,following when you are creating or maybe,redesigning your navigation menu always,keep your tabs condensed don't exceed,seven tabs for your navigation menu and,I'm talking about the first level tabs,and I'm going to tell you why our brains,usually can't hold more than seven,things or seven ideas at the same time,on the short term so if you don't want,your customers to get frustrated and,leave just keep it simple and keep your,tabs to seven or maybe even less to five,my final tip for you and it is actually,a sacred tip always make sure that your,manual looks good on mobile so now we,are going to move to my screen to start,setting up your Shopify navigation menus,are you ready let's start so here I am,inside of the Shopify dashboard

okay guys this is a video that i like to,call what the hell is wrong with dawn,and how can i fix it,so if you've been using shopify dawn or,shopify 2.0 and you changed an old store,to a new store it's not going to work,because everything is different but,don't panic because there's a really,really easy way to understand why it's,not working and how we can fix it,okay so let's talk about the big problem,with the change to shopify if you don't,know what,you're doing basically like i didn't at,the beginning um,every single tutorial that you will look,at every single tutorial that you look,and watch that's been made in the last,15 years will tell you to do something,probably to the theme dot c,s c s s dot liquid file in shopify and,when you look for it in shopify 2.0 it,will not exist because it does not exist,anymore and they've completely changed,it and the reason that they've done this,is because it allows a much smoother,mobile shopping experience and what,they've done is incredible and it's,going to make shopify the best uh,e-commerce,cms available,but there is a problem,dot s uh c,s c s s liquid has gone and every single,serial is gonna tell you to use that so,what do we do instead instead,okay so there are two fundamental things,that we need to know um and that is,anything that you should have been,putting in,theme.css or whatever it's called you,now want to put it in uh base dot css,this is the global css for your entire,website if you want to change anything,about the look and feel of your website,this is the place that you want to do it,if you're wanting to add,uh global basically,so,um an example earlier was,someone asked me how to change the title,font,and i told them to put font size,uh you can just increase this to six for,example and then another one was they,wanted to know how to,align the text i don't know if i've,spelt a line correctly it doesn't look,like it,and then,we put center but the problem with this,was,it also centered the,center the product,titles so now every single h1 is,centered so if i go on here for example,this is now centered and he didn't want,that he wanted only the um page the blog,post centered,so,what we had to do was we had to work out,where we can put the code,to change this without it being global,so all i did,was i typed in page on this search bar,and i saw section main page,so now,this in my opinion this means,that any main page section,will have this,css,so i told them,to just put text,align,center,here instead,and,it only changed it for the main pages so,the blog posts etc etc so if i save this,now,and i refresh this if i'm not talking,rubbish hang on,let me go back to,if i go on the uh page here yep this is,left aligned but if i go on,you can already see,i need to sort this out if i go on about,us is it centered yeah it's centered,because this is classed as a page and,not as a,product page or whatever,so yeah uh that's one thing that's,completely changed so if you're looking,to change the feel or the lo

what's up guys i'm paul and welcome to,the ecommerce gold youtube channel so,shopify recently released their os 2.0,which includes a new selection of themes,and theme customization options and with,this new theme customizer comes a new,way of creating pages for collections,and it is so much better and so much,easier to do than the old way of doing,it so in this video i'm going to go,through and show you exactly how to do,it so you can go and set this up on your,new store if you're using a shopify os,2.0 theme so let's get started,so as i said in the new os 2.0 it's so,much easier to create a page of,collections and we're going to show you,a few different options you can do the,first one is if you want to create a,page listing all of your collections,this is super easy to do all you do is,go into navigation,click on your main navigation menu,and what we're going to do is going to,add a new item to the menu,click under the link options click on,collections,all collections you can change them,title if you want to but i'm just going,to stick with all collections,click on add,click save menu and then if we go to the,front end of our store,refresh this you'll see all collections,comes up in the main menu click on that,and it shows you all of your collections,super simple if you want to do all of,your collections but what if you just,want to show a few collections well,there's a new way of doing it and it is,absolutely brilliant i'm really liking,it so if you go back into our online,store,click on customize it'll bring up the,new theme customizer,and what we're going to do is we're,going to click on the drop down menu at,the top we're going to click on pages,and we're going to create a new template,now for this i'm going to call this,watches because well,everything's dual related on this,channel and we're going to base this on,the default page so we're going to,create that template,and you'll see we have a new template we,can work from and with the new os 2.0,you can add sections to individual pages,and this is where it just becomes so,much easier so what we're going to do is,going to click add section and we're,going to,choose the collection list and you'll,see you can manually choose the,collections you want so for this i'm,going to go through and select all my,watch collections,so we're going to select collection i'm,going to go for automatic watches for,that one,click on select,go back,number two,i'm going to choose digital watches for,that one select,and finally we're going to choose our,quartz watches,and click on select,go back there you go we've done that if,you want to remove the header what you,can do is just click on that and delete,that and it will hide that header for,you,if you want to remove the men's header,at the top,just click on the hide option there and,that will remove that one for you,depends if you want the header on the,page or not but once you're happy with,the collections you've selected,click on save and it's created a,templat

shopify world we are back with another,coding video and in this video,i'm going to show you how to add your,own font or someone else's font that you,are registered to use,commercially to your shopify store so,that you know you have a different phone,and it looks better,we're gonna do some coding for this step,by step i'm gonna explain to you how,let's just jump straight into the demo,store okay we are into the demo store,right here let me actually show you what,it currently looks like so you know,i'm not bamboozling you um this is what,it looks like pretty straightforward,the current font let's here we do right,click,inspect the current font of this,particular element is called,pup font works on,song sheriff,here we go font family so we're going to,change,this particular one,let's go let's do this so first and,foremost we're going to,find the font that we need and we're,going to download it so,uh so here we go free commercial use,fonts for a thousand and one fonts um,here this one let's click on this one,um it's free for commercial use which is,fantastic,i personally don't particularly like it,but you know as they say in french,league there is a zip file that is,opened,perfect let's look at that zip file,right here from scriptina,and here we see we have a ttf file,and a text file which is a readme file,let's take a quick look,that says how we can use this font okay,now the font is actually in the ttf file,there is a small issue though is that,shopify will not recognize this dtf,file and will have to convert it your,font will,only work if it is in a woff,format or in a woff,2 format which might seem like an issue,but no worries that's why there is,online converters so let's convert,those files um the easiest way is i,found a little website right here,font converter.net let's go to,that so we go to fonts,converter.net,perfect this is what it looks like,select the,file you want to convert so we're going,to browse,um that's not the right one downloads,scriptina and here is our scriptina ttf,file um i want it in a,let's do a w o f f ii but again a w,o f f would be fine as well i hereby,confirm i have the license,yes because it's a free font um download,your converted font as a zip,scriptina1 it is called and,right here is our,font wf w0f2,perfect now we have the correct font,format file format now we can close,all of this um let's close this as well,so now what what's the next step the,next step is we're going to jump into,the code so you're going to go to online,store,right here and voila we are on the,online store now this is very important,as i say in,all my dev videos make sure to create a,duplicate of your theme,otherwise if you make a mess up it's,going to cost you a lot of money so,super important actions duplicates,and we're going to be working on this,duplicate right here,so now we wait a second until it is,completely copied and then we're ready,to jump,into the code all right that is done so,now on the,copy of the version we want to so on th

hi this is jonah with sweet honeycode,and today we are going to take a look at,customizing your header on shopify so,first let's talk about the different,parts of a theme,so there are technically three areas of,a theme,that you would end up customizing there,is first the header area which is right,here,the content which is this middle section,here,and the footer,now each section would be customized,according to how you want it to look and,feel for your store,so in this video i'm going to focus on,the header,so with the dawn theme i have the,announcement bar and the header section,so the announcement bar it is,essentially,displaying this little message right,here now i do get a few options of,if for the text the color scheme and the,link and the color schemes are the,different color accents i have chosen in,the theme settings down here which i,covered in a previous video so if i,don't want to show the announcement bar,all i have to do is click on this little,i here and the message will disappear,next i can go to the header so there are,different parts of the actual header,here,we have the logo the menu search and the,cart icon again we can choose a,different color scheme let's change it,to background too just to see how it,looks,with background 2 i can see that it's a,slightly different shade of gray which,is perfect,next is the logo image when you don't,have a logo image,it will display the textual form of your,store name which can be customized,further in the admin settings now in,terms of a local image the biggest thing,to think about is something that is,clear and easy to read,you actually only have so much space,here even if you change the code,the reason you have so much space is as,we go up to 250 pixels what that is,accounting for is when we switch to,mobile view,so most mobile screens will only display,around 350 pixels at a legible,level,so you definitely want to consider that,whatever logo you design that is clear,and easy to read both on desktop and,mobile if it shrinks down too much,people won't be able to recognize your,brand for now i'm not going to put in a,logo the next thing i can do is choose,where the logo is positioned do i want,it left top left which is above the menu,or top center now that's looking really,great my search icon here,my store name,and my cart next let's talk about menus,so menus is what you can use to create,the structural flow for your customers,however you arrange your menu can help,them get to where they want really,quickly of course they can always search,for it but this is the main navigation,so you want it to be clean and easy,essentially between one to three clicks,someone should be on a product page or,on a page to find your product so you,can definitely change this by clicking,on change you can,change out what menu you're going to use,these menus are created in the admin,now there are two different styles at,least with the don theme i can choose,drop down which is when the mouse hovers,over it drops d

anyone can download Power BI Desktop.,The benefit of installing through the

any of the components change, the Microsoft ,Store will only download the pieces that change,
so the updates should be pretty quick and easy.,And lastly, a nice added benefit
is you don't have to be the admin ,logged onto your machine, you could be any

everybody this is Desmond Ong here,actually if you're watching this video,it's because you're part of our company,probably education database you either,come to one of our events before or you,have attended one of our seminars,workshops they have a very very special,guest and this person is amazing he I,regard him as one of the highest you,know top level media buyer pit,advertiser in the world and it for those,of you who are watching if you do not,know what media bio means basically,these are the people that go out there,and flood the internet with their,banners and ads and everywhere you see,them so this is something that I teach,in my class as well so first thing first,Fred do you want to just introduce,yourself a little bit all right so first,of all thank you for actually having me,here Desmond and I obviously have been a,e-commerce entrepreneur for almost 13,years now and I'll also obviously share,my knowledge with a group of students,who are absolutely crushing it in the,world ecommerce so yes I'm a media buyer,and I actually say that media buying is,my skill but I still need to actually,have a vehicle to actually take my skill,set to apply it to which I apply them,all really into the world of e-commerce,so in short simply an e-commerce,entrepreneur okay so Fred I know you're,from Vancouver just in case a lot of,those people who you're in Vancouver,right now right okay so he's from,Vancouver and Vancouver has a ton of,small marketers as we know and fred has,Donnell I've known Fred for a few years,now and he has done a lot in many many,different spaces of our segments of,digital marketing as well as making,money online he's done millions or how,much are you spending on mine right now,on a participant at the moment oh it,really varies on what kind of business,right we at least spend at least six,figures on ads and whenever we do launch,we spend his highest like seven figures,to really push a product out into,markets okay so I just wanted the,audience and all that you know fred is,not someone who spent $10 a day on,Facebook and called himself like a,facebook ethics but this is a guy that,really knows the game really well and,he's ahead of the times and a lot of,people right now are still actually,working on Facebook ads and tweaking,things for ads if you're from Kuala,Lumpur Malaysia you should already know,this the fact that our ad costs in this,particular city has actually double in,the past 12 months right,so a lot more people a lot more,marketers like myself actually started,looking towards other alternatives we're,talking like YouTube ads and I know fred,is an expert at YouTube ads Fred do you,want to I just go ahead and maybe talk a,little bit about like what as a newbie,someone with brand new maybe someone's,spending $2,000 a month on Facebook ads,but they see that their costs Polly or,the cost per click is going up they want,to move to another platform because,their margins getting hit because,especially some of them are selling,physica
