all right what's up guys i did a poll,recently on my youtube channel where i,asked what my next video topic should be,and the most voted for topic was shopify,2.0 so today i want to talk about page,templates which is a new feature of,shopify 2.0 that many people aren't,using yet it's a really underrated,feature and it can really be quite,powerful one of the most common,questions that i get on my channel when,i talk about adding a specific feature,to a product page,is how can i add this to one product,but not to another product right how can,i add a feature to one product page,without affecting the rest of the,products on my store and a good example,of this is this tutorial where i showed,you how to add a gift message field to a,product so obviously this is for,products that have some kind of note,attached to them or maybe they have an,engraving or maybe there's something,written on the shirt whatever it's a,customizable product right and maybe not,all your products are like this maybe,not all your products are customizable,so you want to add this on one product,but not on another type of product and,that's really easy to do in shopify 2.0,you just have to use page templates so,i'm going to show you how to do that,today another good use of page templates,is to make a completely different design,for different product pages so you may,have some products which are like your,flagship products your main products,and you have a lot more to say about,them right you have you want to talk,about their features a lot more so the,example that i've got here is all birds,you know they've got their merino wool,or or tree actually tree fabric sneakers,and they have this product page right,the top of it is a typical shopify,product page but then they've got these,extra features that they want to talk,about below and we can do this now,thanks to shopify 2.0 and sections,everywhere you know how previously you,only had sections on the home page now,you have them on every page so you can,add sections,underneath your main product section on,your product page but maybe you don't,need that for all products so here,they've got their beanie and you know,they just don't have that much to say,about the beanie because the beanie is,like not their main thing their main,thing is sneakers so they have these two,different product page templates one for,the shoes and probably the other one is,just the default product template for,regular products and you know this,doesn't have to be limited to just,product pages either so here they have a,collection page which is like your,typical shopify collection page right,you have a product grid and you have,your filters on the left here but they,also have this other collection page,under new arrivals when you click on,warm weather,they have collection pages with this,nice image banner and look this is for,warm weather and it's really warm image,it really gives the mood and they have,this kind of image banner for every type,of collection that

hello and welcome to the ED of the,sandbox video guide for the flex themed,mega menu feature the Flex theme,includes a highly customizable mega menu,to enhance your shops navigation up to,10 mega menus can be enabled within the,themes built in settings and can have up,to 6 columns each mega menus can be,added to any of the header layout,options available in the Flex theme,let's get started by setting up our,first mega menu in order to set up a,mega menu you'll need to create a main,menu and your navigations panel and the,Shopify admin once you've done that you,can head into your theme editor to,enable the mega menu just head in the,theme settings select mega menus and you,can enable your mega menu here you can,choose from 1 up to 10 mega menus to,enable but today we're just going to go,with the one once you've done that you,can head back into sections and you'll,see this mega menu section is now,appeared all the settings for the mega,menu will be available here as well as,the content blocks content blocks are,how you actually configure the content,in your mega menu by default there will,be some content blocks already added for,you however you can just remove them to,start fresh,in order to add a content block you'll,just click add content the available,content blocks add in your mega menu are,a custom HTML menu image mixed featured,product featured promotion an empty,column when setting up your mega menu in,order to get it to appear you'll need to,enter a link title the link title will,need to match the link in the main menu,that you want the mega menu to appear,below so if I want the mega menu to,appear below the shop main menu link,I'll need to enter shop as the link,title the link title must match the,wording of the main menu link exactly,after we do that let's configure the,content blocks for the mega menu and,then move on to the other settings so,scroll down to content add content and,here we can choose from the available,content blocks in order to start setting,up our columns so let's start with menu,you can select a menu from your existing,navigation menus if you need to create,another menu you can do so here add in,this one you can then link up the,heading of your menu so this will be the,title of whatever menu you have you can,link this up if you'd like,can add an image,you can add a link to the image if you'd,like this is also optional but maybe you,want to link it up to a specific product,or a specific collection,if you want to add an image caption you,can do so in this text field below but,you also can just leave it blank if you,don't want that to show up featured,product you can choose a product from,your shop if you really want to show,something off this will then link to,that product page have the product title,and the price available,you can add some more text if you'd like,this is a rich text editor so you could,link it up you can bold it you can add a,featured promotion here so you can,choose whatever image you like for the,futu

hey guys it's free and today I'm gonna,show you how I designed this homepage on,Shopify's most popular free theme,Brooklyn back when I was learning how to,do drop shipping I would always see,Brooklyn being used and it looks really,clean and super simple to use this,homepage is really designed to tell a,story and introduce product so if,there's a way to make this free theme,look incredible then that's what I'm,gonna try to do so let's dive right into,it one of the first things that I do,when I get a home page is just delete,all the sections because I want to start,you know completely clean most people,who use Brooklyn which is a lot of,Shopify stores they're probably going to,use the template that was there by,default so if I want to look a little,bit different then I should probably,just create whatever I want that best,tells my story here we have the home,page here this page is looking pretty,pretty buttery a better basics better,price the thing with your heading guys,is whenever you write copy especially,that's when it's gonna be the first,thing people see you need to introduce,the product and you need to be clear,about what you're selling,if not then people aren't gonna,understand immediately and they have a,way higher chance of bouncing but that's,pretty much it it's very clean I only,have one I don't like doing the whole,auto-rotate I think it's distracting the,next section is rich text it's just an,area for you to include some copy here,is where I want to start speaking to,that customer I'm trying to reel them in,for people this doesn't speak to you,that's fine I don't expect this copy to,speak to most people and we started,Sundays to Mondays as a tribute for one,particular type of man that friend who,wears a basic t-shirt every day in the,same color for various reasons that's us,and we come in all shapes and sizes,we're tall and lanky short and broad,with white horses and slim waists that,sounds kind of weird now reading it,that's kind of the idea is like Akili,States examples the people and it can,like kind of relate to you maybe some,insecurities that people might have here,are the bestsellers options I mean all I,did was add a collection,to it right around here if you get,people to read this and then continue,scrolling they're gonna be probably,interested in what you sell already at,least that's how I my brain thinks it's,really good to show them your heaviest,hitters if there's something that you,know sells well and catches the eye put,it here because it'll speak lengths but,this is just saying you know your here's,what here's what we're selling the next,part is a slideshow we do have these,testimonials here and I just found these,stock images on unsplash I believe or,maybe I even found them on canva it's,pretty much just like a little review,that I wrote for myself and my idea is I,would click on this it doesn't lead to,anything now but I could click on this,and see what kevin l bought and then see,his his fit if you go to the next pa

what's up everyone my name is michael,and i help store owners increase their,conversion rates reduce abandoned carts,and their checkouts and ultimately how,to get more sales without spending extra,on ads so today's video is going to be,of me reviewing reviewing some drop,shipping stores giving them some advice,and suggestions so they can increase,their conversion rates and like i was,saying before i always get asked by a,ton of people if i can check out their,stores give any feedback or anything,like that because,a big problem in e-commerce is having a,low conversion rate and actually getting,a lot of the people who land on your,store to convert into a sale and i can,easily take between 40 minutes to an,hour just for to review a whole store,from the home page all the way to the,checkout and pretty much picking all the,different parts from different pages of,parts from the from the product page to,the buy section to the car and like i,said from the checkout too i can give,you all the optimization tweaks that you,can do to better improve your store,and if you're interested in something,like that uh we can schedule a call if,you're interested and like i said it,takes between 40 minutes to an hour just,to review a whole store from the,homepage all the way to the checkout and,you'd be surprised how many things i can,find picking a part of the store,uh and so many things that people don't,even think about or know about when,looking at their store so i'll leave,the link for that down in the,description so here we have a store,called gel strap it saw sells this mini,toy gun that's that shoots out uh these,mini gel bullets that i've seen on tick,tock before and it's a pretty cool,product for summer so off the bat they,have a good first image but i see they,can also improve it by adding a like a,lifestyle image like for example someone,actually using the gun uh in their,backyard or something like that the,second thing that i see is that they,only have three different colors and it,would just be a lot easier on the,visitor end just to have color swatches,instead of a drop down like this it'd,also be easier on mobile too when you're,choosing the different color the next,thing that i see is that there's two,call to action buttons and the main,thing that should stand out on your,product pages should be the add to cart,only because it's the main element that,we want visitors to click on and when,you have the dynamic checkout button or,the buy and now button enabled it,usually makes your add to cart button a,ghost button uh like this it blends into,the white background of your store and,when a person clicks on the buy now,button they're just redirected uh to,your checkup page and that can cause a,lot of friction and confusion for a lot,of customers that a lot of people don't,even know about for me the ultimate,weapon as a as a headline is a bit weird,and uh it sounds a bit weird in my in my,opinion because it's not really like a,weapon it's just like a a little
