hello and welcome to the ED of the,sandbox video guide for the flex themed,mega menu feature the Flex theme,includes a highly customizable mega menu,to enhance your shops navigation up to,10 mega menus can be enabled within the,themes built in settings and can have up,to 6 columns each mega menus can be,added to any of the header layout,options available in the Flex theme,let's get started by setting up our,first mega menu in order to set up a,mega menu you'll need to create a main,menu and your navigations panel and the,Shopify admin once you've done that you,can head into your theme editor to,enable the mega menu just head in the,theme settings select mega menus and you,can enable your mega menu here you can,choose from 1 up to 10 mega menus to,enable but today we're just going to go,with the one once you've done that you,can head back into sections and you'll,see this mega menu section is now,appeared all the settings for the mega,menu will be available here as well as,the content blocks content blocks are,how you actually configure the content,in your mega menu by default there will,be some content blocks already added for,you however you can just remove them to,start fresh,in order to add a content block you'll,just click add content the available,content blocks add in your mega menu are,a custom HTML menu image mixed featured,product featured promotion an empty,column when setting up your mega menu in,order to get it to appear you'll need to,enter a link title the link title will,need to match the link in the main menu,that you want the mega menu to appear,below so if I want the mega menu to,appear below the shop main menu link,I'll need to enter shop as the link,title the link title must match the,wording of the main menu link exactly,after we do that let's configure the,content blocks for the mega menu and,then move on to the other settings so,scroll down to content add content and,here we can choose from the available,content blocks in order to start setting,up our columns so let's start with menu,you can select a menu from your existing,navigation menus if you need to create,another menu you can do so here add in,this one you can then link up the,heading of your menu so this will be the,title of whatever menu you have you can,link this up if you'd like,can add an image,you can add a link to the image if you'd,like this is also optional but maybe you,want to link it up to a specific product,or a specific collection,if you want to add an image caption you,can do so in this text field below but,you also can just leave it blank if you,don't want that to show up featured,product you can choose a product from,your shop if you really want to show,something off this will then link to,that product page have the product title,and the price available,you can add some more text if you'd like,this is a rich text editor so you could,link it up you can bold it you can add a,featured promotion here so you can,choose whatever image you like for the,futu

welcome everyone to coffee with charlie,this is a series presented by figma and,hosted by me charlie marie,where i get to sit down with the,designers behind the systems at lots of,different types of companies,on many types of teams we take a look,inside their figma files and behind the,scenes of their design system to learn,how it was created,what problems it's solving what,challenges they're facing with it and,today i'm joined by two designers,from the shopify team we've got sarah,hill and dan ross who are both,senior product designers there on the,design systems and core experience team,to take us through shopify's design,system and the challenges they're,currently facing with scaling it as,the product and the company scales as,well let's get into it,welcome sarah dan to coffee with charlie,i'm excited to have this is the first,duo interview that we've done for coffee,with charlie so this is going to be fun,it's going to be great to learn more,about,shopify's design system should we start,with,an introduction how did it come about,what's it called,give us the lay of the land so at,shopify uh we use polaris that's,uh the design system that we use that is,catered for admin,um it's a place where we house our,common practices principles and beliefs,centered around,content design and components and,experiences created for shopify's admin,um so before polaris there are a couple,of people who are focused on,building patterns and contents but,components and experiences at shopify,felt they didn't feel like they came,from the same place,uh they felt different from each other,um we had components in,github um they were consolidated into a,sketchy y kit at some point,and many of us modified that ui kit for,our own team needs,we had a style guide as well which was,our source of truth,but what we didn't really have was like,a unification of our experiences,and we weren't having collaboration,between people and teams so,a small team was created uh with that,mission in mind and to unify our,experiences,um they collaborated with teams and,individuals throughout the company and,polaris was created,uh and i think that was in about 2017,and it was adopted through the,organization there's a really good,article about this,um named the system always kicks back by,kyle p so,2017 you said that's uh getting on a,while ago now,um how's things gone since then how has,the design system evolved what,challenges you facing with it now in,2021,yeah good question um right now polaris,acts as our base,foundational system with uh,primitive components so we have many,systems that shopify,for example billing channels check out,retail and some of these systems use,polaris for admin as a base for their,own components,all right here's a screen in admin so,this is our,home page that i mean everyone i think,knows um that,has used shopify uh and so like,throughout the admin we have again lots,of different uses for cards,um which have to say pretty flexible we,have some,parts of our admi

hi friends hope all of you are doing,good today i'll show you how you can,create a custom app on shopify so this,is a more of a kind of developer,oriented video you need to know uh,programming languages like php then the,framework laravel uh then the friend and,technologies react for uh,start creating uh shopify apps you can,also use uh nodejs and ruby as a backend,technology for creating shopify now i am,showing you how you can create a shopify,app using a php as a backend if any one,of you are interested in creating a,custom app or if you want to create a,public app,onto the shopify app store you can start,developing those let's start our shopify,app development so first i have to go to,the directory where i want to create my,app so i'm writing the command cd,documents,where it is in the documents folder i am,going to create my app now next you have,to make sure that you have php installed,on your system so make sure you have php,installed you have to make sure you have,composer installed on your system so uh,check the composer version i'm just,showing you that i have all these,installed so i have my composer,installed and also not installed okay,so i have my node also installed next,the command that you have to type in is,npm init,at,shopify slash,app,at latest,when you run this command they will ask,you for an app name so give a name for,your app so i'm going to give the name,as order listing app okay,now you have to select which template,you want to use i am going to build my,app using php as the back end so i am,going to select php in case you are,using node or ruby you can select the,corresponding templates,let us wait till the template is cloned,so now uh my app is ready now today i,have opened the order listing app that,we have created now so as you can see,that these are the this is the structure,of the app so inside the web folder we,have all these folders where we can,start our development so,so the next thing is we have to install,the php dependencies by running the,command composer installed so for that,let me come back to the terminal and i,will go into the app folder now,and i have to go into the web folder so,you can see that there is a web folder,here it's tied it so we have to move,into the web folder,and then here i have to run the command,composer install,so once we run composer installed all,our composer dependencies will be,installed so here you see there's a,composer.json file so we need to install,all these dependencies,okay so all the dependencies are,installed you can see now so what we are,going to do is we are going to create a,dot env file and copy all the contents,of this env.example file into that file,so for that what you can do is you can,type the command cp,dot env dot example which is the file we,have into dot env,so now you can see that we have a dot,env file and it has copied all the,contents from the dot env dot example,file,next thing we need to do is we need to,create the database so you can see on,storage

yo what is going on everybody shri,kanasa here so how this one product,store,did roughly 500 000 in a very short,period of time,now towards the end of 2020 mostly in,the beginning of 2021,there was a lot of talk regarding one,product stores,and how they are basically the future of,shopify drop shipping and i really,didn't,pay much attention to all of that hype,simply because i'm a simple guy,i love my general stores because with,general stores there's a large amount of,benefits like you can keep on selling,different types of products without ever,having just the entire store diet like,it is with one product stores,and a lot of other things which i've,gone over several times in my other,videos,but after doing just a little bit of,research i actually came upon,one interesting one product store which,actually took up,more towards the end of the year and,this product was actually very,interesting and the entire store was,very interesting so after doing a little,bit of more,deep diving and doing a little bit of,more research i was able to figure out,that this store did roughly over,half a million dollars in sales so we're,gonna be going over that,in the ins and outs of this one product,store to give you guys,a great example of what is actually,working right now so without wasting any,more time let's just jump right into it,the first thing you'll have to do in,order to find any type of success with,this video or,after looking at the store is to destroy,the like button until it turns blue i,promise just gonna take two quick,seconds just tap that real quick so it,turns blue okay hopefully i've done that,but let's go ahead and reveal the store,and the store,is none other than ultravisionpro.com,now if you haven't already guessed i did,find the store on,exchange marketplace.com a great website,to be selling,your shopify stores or buying others if,you want to go that route but,ultravision pro after diving into this,product listing actually got me really,interested because,first things first let's look at the,average revenue per month it says 136,thousand dollars,per month in average revenue with about,a hundred thousand dollars in monthly,visitors,and according to them the average profit,is twenty four thousand dollars so,looking at this you may be thinking that,this is a great business very profitable,per month,if we scroll down just a little bit and,come down to this chart right here we,can see that in total,since november of 2020 it has done,roughly 680,000 and the peaks month it was at 282,000,just for one product so that is actually,very impressive in my opinion,of course the sales did die down but,that is how business works with,one product stores nonetheless during,the time it was selling it was very,successful and it did more than half a,million dollars so that's what we want,to take into account and see exactly,what the store did right so that we can,kind of mimic it and,create our own success in a similar,fashion so let's look at the store right,n

all right so today's video is going to,be very quick but very very important,because let me show you this when i,submitted my app a couple days ago,i,always got this email,right here and it always told me that my,app was,rejected and it was because of this,reason,your app must be in the must set the,proper frame ancestors content security,policy directive to avoid click checking,attacks the content security policy,header should set frame ancestors,and it always should set the frame,answers,with this url which is the shop url of,the um after merchant shop,and also this https admin.shopify.com,and that's it that's all they're gonna,tell you and i've tried so many times,like you can see here i've tried it a,couple of times and i didn't know what,they wanted for me because,i didn't really understand what this,what this meant,but eventually i got it to work and uh,finally my app,was able to submit and this is actually,um,very important because before anybody at,shopify,is actually testing your app,your app will go through some automated,tests,from shopify and um they will test all,kinds of stuff,and,this is one of them so they will also,test your response headers and if your,response header doesn't have this,property right here then your app will,get rejected so,today i want to show you how you can add,this response header to,every um to every document that you sent,from your app,again we're in a,laravel app,we're using this oc set package and i,always,already show you how you can install,this aussie set package and how to,create a shopify app so,this is one of the last steps,within your,app development right and,also one of the most important steps,because,if you don't pass this step then you,won't be able to submit your app right,okay so that's what i wanna what i wanna,show you today,because i've tried so many times and um,it was a hard time for me to find out,how this works,all right now,let's jump right into,the project,so in order for your app,to add some,response headers to any requests you,will need a middleware so the first,thing that we will have to do is we will,have to create a middleware,so we're going to say php artisan,make,middleware,and i'm going to call my middleware,content,security,policy,right,and we can now see here,that a new middleware was created,and it,has this middleware here uh it has this,uh class here content security policy,with this handle method and that's all,there is as of now,and the first thing that we want to do,is we want to create some uh,class variables,the first variable is gonna be our,format that we need so we want our,format to be to say frame ancestors then,we're gonna need our uh shop url and,then we're gonna need our admin url,right,so,first i'm gonna say,protect it,it's gonna be a constant it's gonna say,header format,i'm gonna say,frame ancestors,later on we're gonna say,it will have to have a string right here,and another string so that's going to be,our,shop url and it's going to be our admin,url rig

hey everyone it's jeremy from ecommerce,agency and in today's video,since you guys liked the last video so,much about a case study on crown and paw,i'm gonna do another case study but more,on a typical drop shipping store so that,you know you can get a little bit from,the print on demand side but this time,we're going to talk about,the classic drop shipping side i'm going,to go over the website but in this video,i'm going to,really go over the different creatives,that they have because they have a ton,and they only change a little bit so i'm,going gonna go over what they change,why they changed it and how you can,apply it to your own store,to find the same success that the store,called celtic serenity has,so with that being said let's get right,into the video,so the story that i want to talk about,today is called celtic serenity,right off the bat this first picture is,really powerful,because instead of seeing it on a white,background with just the product which,is what,i did before and what a lot of you do,having it,in a setting where it's actually being,used,helps the buyer see themselves using the,product,so if you're selling this fairly light,spirit tree put it in a nice setting,if you're selling a heating vest have,the first picture someone putting it on,if you're selling a kid's toy have a kid,playing with it,as the first picture if you're selling a,water bottle,maybe put it in a nice setting that you,know,screams health and put it in a nice,workout setting,because that's where you want people to,use it so definitely don't,use a white background if you can change,out the background into something that's,applicable to where it's going to be,used,i would definitely do that so even the,other pictures it's not just a white,background it's always in a setting,because this gives the user or the,customer,ideas of where they can buy this or,when they buy this where they can put it,so as you can see,various different settings which is,awesome because it's going to suit the,different type of people that go onto,the store because some people may like,this setting,personally i like this setting the best,you know it's gonna,it's gonna really satisfy everyone that,goes through this website and looks at,the product page,so everything's pretty standard the only,thing that's really awesome here,is the quantity breaks you can get this,with,any app on the shopify app store you can,just google or,search quantity breaks and you'll see a,ton of them,the one that i like to use is called,bold discount,and that's one i personally like but,they all pretty much do the same i would,just,search up quantity breaks on the app,store and just pick them with the best,ratings or whichever one you like to use,the best so i'm just going to do a,little trick that i did last time,where you can press f12 or you can right,click and press,inspect both ways work and i'm gonna,check out,what app they used here so you press,this little button,and you hover this you just click,anywhere,
