hey everyone todd from sideshow effects,once again and this is a very quick,video,we're going to show you a new feature,that is now available to loop deck users,so there's a new release of the software,it's version 5.0.2,and it has a very important,release for all of our lootdeck users,and that is that you now have the,ability to access an icon library right,within the application and sideshow,effects icons have now been integrated,into the looptex software so i'm going,to show you how to do that,so i'm working with a with a ct device,here the uh principles all work the same,whether using a ct or a live device i've,got the basic photoshop profile loaded,up here in the software,and let's say for example i want to,put a content aware fill command on this,page,well i can search for it over here i'll,just type it aware,and there it pops up,and if i click on it,you can see and when you click on the,icon here it just gives you this generic,icon,but you'll notice that there's a new,button here and it's called icon library,and if you click on it it opens up an,icon library window for us,and you can see over here,there's a few tabs and sideshow effects,has its own tab here so in here we've,got i think it's about 180 icons that,are pulled from all of our various packs,that you can access,on our website,so it also has a search function here so,if i was to search for aware here,you can see we have a content aware,icon that's available in this sampler,pack,so all i have to do is click on this,and say ok and it automatically gets,loaded into the icon tray of this,command,so when i say save,that icon is now applied to the content,aware action,i can then just take this action and,drag it,on top of any one of these key slots,so i'll just drop it over here onto,deselect so now this action,is available to me with my new icon and,it shows up on my device now if we go,back to,our icon library,and go back to slideshow effects you'll,see at the bottom here it says get more,icons and if you click on this link,it will take you to,our loop deck sampler page so this is a,collection,of,all sampler packs that we are providing,for free,for you to access,so,you can,look through any one of these they're,organized by application so for example,here is the photoshop one and when if,you mouse over any one of the pictures,it will just give you a quick little,preview of the icons that are in this,pack,and the photoshop one has 80 icons that,we're giving away for free,and it's very simple if this is the pack,that that you want to work with you just,click the download button,enter in your email address,and you hit continue,and you get a little download button,it downloads to your hard drive and when,you unzip it this is,what you're going to see,you'll just get uh there's just a,license file and just a little,description,and here's all the 80 icons that are in,this folder so let's say for example,that i want a brush for my photoshop,profile if i type in brush here,i get a few brushes b

hey what's up everyone olia here so in,this video we'll be covering the loop,deck live so loop deck did send this out,to me they wanted me to try it out test,it out show you what it can do,and yeah it's pretty insane because the,way i like to see this thing,is that it's pretty much a macro pad on,steroids because the capabilities the,possibilities everything that you can do,with it are just crazy it's just insane,so yeah in this video i want to show you,around show you what it's capable of,let's get straight into it so like i,said the idea behind the loop deck live,is that it's supposed to be a powerful,and compact customizable console as,multiple use cases it works for all type,of workflows whether you're a streamer,video editor or designer you can set it,up to work for you the idea is that it,works alongside your keyboard and mouse,i like to have it below or to the left,side of my keyboard when i'm working,apps like blender or final cut pro and,then i usually move it above the,keyboard for any general use it's,designed to be pretty compact it has a,fairly slim profile so it can easily be,put in a backpack making it pretty easy,to move between different workspaces if,you wish it comes with a braided usb c,to usbc cable and in the box is an,included usb adapter too it feels solid,as well a very premium feeling product,especially the dials and the physical,buttons that have great tactility and,feedback to them it's clear the dials,have also been finely tuned as when you,rotate them you can feel every single,notch which is important as you will,most likely be rotating them without,looking at the device having that,physical feedback is fantastic you have,three dials either side with eight,buttons along the bottom this acts as,your home button basically just taking,it back to the home page and then each,of these can be assigned,a page of buttons as well so we have,page one page two page three,even though we have seven pages we can,actually technically have more so you,can see i have page eight as well you,can have an unlimited number of pages,basically giving you unlimited actions,and unlimited buttons this is pretty,insane in the middle as you can see it's,an lcd screen that makes up a grid of 12,buttons which can be customized to do,pretty much anything you can imagine,these touch buttons also give you haptic,feedback so you know when they've been,pressed and then either side of the grid,you have these narrow screens basically,indicating what the dials do so you can,see with this one here we can adjust the,volume we can change the media playback,web scroll change the brightness and,then you can of course add anything you,like to the other dials as well so what,is the actual point of the loop deck,live well the main benefit i see from a,product like this is the ability to have,quick access to shortcuts and macro,actions especially if you're a power,user the way it works is that you have,custom profiles for apps such as obs,lightroom final cut pro an

hi I'm Adam from first man photography,and today I'm going to introduce you to,the new loop DET creative tool console I,am good to talk a little bit about the,concept and the functionality and,introduce you to some of the software,that it can control it's designed to,control everything from your photo,editing video editing music editing and,design the idea behind loop deck CT is,to organize your workflow and to boost,your efficiency the concept is based on,workspaces that are designed to work,with your creative process and you can,break them down by editing stage project,type or just in any way that you choose,in photo video or audio editing we have,different stages of the creative process,and we can apply a workspace to each of,those parts of our process so for,example in Adobe Lightroom one workspace,can be assigned to the start of the,process where you might rate your images,we then have another workspace that's,dedicated to editing and adjustments and,things like that then you can move on to,another workspace to deal with your,export you can pretty much set up the,libtech CT in any way you choose to set,up your CT the first thing we need to do,is to install the software once the,software is installed we then just plug,it in to our computer,it will take a moment to startup and,then to open the software we just come,up to the top and click open set up each,of the Spotted software it comes with a,default setting so you can get in and,start editing immediately we can then,explore more of the capabilities of a,device by customizing the settings to,your own needs the libtech CT device has,two categories of elements the first are,the circular buttons here and the square,buttons they work across all the,different workspaces and he got normal,functions like undo and save he then,have the workspace specific elements,like the dials the touchscreen and the,main wheel here which which changed,depending on the workspace that you're,in as you open the supported software,the lubed xct will open up on the,default home screen that then shows the,default workspaces that are set you then,have the ability to customize that and,we can go into one of the workspaces and,then you can always return to the home,screen just by clicking the home button,once we have our workspaces we can then,assign them to the round button there,and once that's done it will illuminate,as green as we have here just like it,does on the touch screen so if I click,on editing there I can just hit on,number 3 there to change the workspace,within each workspace I can create,several pages to give me access to the,different actions and tools so if we,look at the device I can swipe across to,show all those different controls I then,can do the same with the dials because I,have 6 physical dials and as I swipe,down on the the touch screen here then,gives me access to 2 different tools and,actions the same is also true for the,wheel so I can just swipe across to,reveal those different actions libbed,

How to organise your Loupe Deck with Profiles
in this video we're going to be looking,at how to organize a loop deck so that,you can understand how best to use,profiles plugins workspaces and pages,and if you don't know what all of those,are don't worry you will do by the end,of this video so this is intended to be,the second in a series of videos all,about getting up to speed with the loop,deck part of my beginner's guide i'll,leave a link to all of the other videos,down in the description and really what,we're doing here is in the first video,we looked at the device itself so uh,just in case you aren't familiar this is,what we're talking about in this case it,is the loop deck live and looking at how,to go about starting to get set up with,this in terms of how to organize all of,the different things that you want to do,with it and start to build out this sort,of framework if you like for,getting it exactly how you want to use,it for whatever you want to use it for,so uh let's come over to the application,itself uh i gave a quick overview of the,interface in the previous video but just,a quick recap um this is a sort of,graphical representation of the device,itself we're going to be programming,this with all of the different buttons,and actions and things like that that we,want to do assigning different things to,different buttons on the device uh,simply by choosing them from this list,over on the right hand side we've got,various different ways to organize here,so a number of different these are,called plugins which have different,groupings of actions that we can assign,to any of the buttons and then down here,for each of these ones as i go through,changing here it has some further sub,groupings and we can just literally drag,and drop the actions onto the device uh,there are really you know hundreds and,thousands of potential combinations of,actions that we might want to use on,this so we are going to need to get a,little bit organized and so the way that,we're going to organize our actions on,our screen is as well as using pages so,i can swipe on the screen and it will,swipe through multiple different pages,of actions but again i mean even just in,that sense you could literally have you,know hundreds of pages worth and so it,would get a bit hard to manage so there,is an easier way though and that is,through the use of profiles and,workspaces so let's start with profiles,think of a profile as a specific use,case that you have for the device and in,fact if i come up to the menu just up at,the top here um you can see at the,moment that i am selected as my main,profile and this is the default profile,that i've just set up for the purposes,of this demonstration if i click in here,though uh it has a little drop down list,for us and here you can see the other,profiles that i have on this device and,this probably then makes it a lot more,clear what exactly profiles are for um,because we do have down here a number of,application profiles,and so this is basically you know a,different use case for th

as a filmmaker and content creator the,thing,that slows me down my personal,bottleneck is the editing process,i am forever on the lookout for anything,that could help me speed that up,and turn around my work quicker and that,is what we're going to be talking about,today,it is the loop deck creator tool the,loop deck,ct and this thing can help you speed,up your workflow and your editing,process,very very easily i'm going to be showing,you a little behind the scenes on an,edit that i've been working on recently,and i'm going to show you,how i would edit it on the loop deck ct,to speed up my process as well as show,you guys a couple of little tricks and,techniques,that i'm going to be doing throughout my,edit so first things first you'll notice,that,this thing is going to be compatible,with more than just premiere,it's going to be compatible with,lightroom if you guys want to grade any,of your photos,it's also going to be able to be used in,photoshop after effects and a bunch of,other software that i don't really use,for today's video we're going to be,using it in premiere for the most part,you can see that right off the bat when,you guys open this you can pick your,different workspaces,the first workspace is going to be the,editing workspace by heading number one,and you can toggle through them going to,your color grading workspace,and your audio workspace another thing,to keep in mind is that this whole thing,is completely customizable,and you guys can set it up however you,want and whatever is going to be most,beneficial for the way that you edit,your videos,for me personally i really like it the,way that it is i can head to,my editing panel and i can start cutting,through some of my footage,now the first thing that i'll do is,something that i just like to do with my,videos so i can see what's going on is,if i head over to number three,i can actually make my video track a lot,bigger and i can also make my,audio track a bit bigger i'll head back,to my editing tab,and now i can start cutting through this,footage all of these dials have their,own different little tools,you can swipe through here to get any,more tools that you might want,otherwise you can select on here so for,example if i wanted to add text or,something like that,i could just go to tools hit text and it,would add that text,i can go back to my editing basics and,i'm gonna start cutting this footage,up very basically and just showing you,guys how i would use this,to speed up my process of cutting,through this footage,first things first i can use this,control wheel to shuttle through my,footage i can also hit play,and see where i might want to be then,once i want to cut that or edit it,i can hit ripple start and it's going to,delete it off and,likewise if i wanted to cut the end of,this clip i can hit ripple end,i have this gap i can hit ripple delete,and that's going to take that gap away,so i could very quickly and easily go,through this whole video,cutting the bits that i want cutti

do you want to help streamline your,presentations zoom calls maybe going,live or just day-to-day work make it,easier and use an accessory like a,programmable keypad such as the stream,deck or the loop deck but you're not,really sure which one is right for you,they are investments,and there are some similarities but,there are also some differences so that,is what we are going to talk about today,it's comparing two of these options,they're not the only options but they're,the two that i have experience with,so we're going to do a side by side,they're both on my desk right now i will,break down,what's the same what's different what,should you know if this is the type of,thing that interests you and if you are,new and you've never met me before my,name is kat and i help people to create,more professional and engaging online,presentations,and these have become tools that i,depend on so let's take a look at my,desk right now i have a side by side of,the loop deck live which i recently,shared sort of how i have found it using,it over the last few months and i also,have the 15 key stream deck which i've,got currently,set up i also in the background you can,probably see a peek here that i've got,the,stream deck xl so the stream deck xl i,have it here just from a size standpoint,it is not currently hooked up,because i've been using the loop deck,regularly and i like a lot of the,features on it and i've sort of really,started to integrate it into my,day-to-day,i decided to switch back to the 15 key,and use that instead just from a space,standpoint because,it just takes less space so typically on,my desk i will have the loop deck on the,left and i have the stream deck on the,right they are both just kind of off the,side of my keyboard so they're very easy,to reach and i can just move my hand,slightly off the keyboard either right,or left and choose my choose my action,what is the thing that i want to do,so let's just take a look physically,they're actually pretty similar size,wise obviously the loop deck live is a,little bit wider,than the stream deck because the stream,deck 15 key,is just that it's 15 keys whereas the,loop deck has 12 of the programmable,screen,keys for tapping but it also does have,down the side it's got your,dials and then along the bottom you have,eight buttons as well,so that's the main difference size-wise,when you compare these if you were to,compare,these two,i mean this the xl is is significantly,bigger,and,i so let's get into just what makes them,very similar so they are both,programmable keypads,meaning you can change these up and,they're responsive so they have the,screen there are other programmable,keypads where they might just have,numbers or you can put stickers on them,but these are actually digital,interfaces so they will update based on,if you want to have an icon or a text,they have some default,and the main thing is you can customize,them and i've actually made these very,similar so that you can see them side by,side i k

you can use with Final Cut Pro,,and the one I’ve been using quite a bit lately,,is the Loupedeck CT editing console.,Today, I’m going to show you how I set mine up,,how I use it with Final Cut Pro,,and how I supercharged it with with the amazing,,free Final Cut Pro plugin, Command Post.,First, let’s take a look at the
Loupedeck CT Editing Console.,This controller includes a main scroll
wheel with a touch interface inside,,6 hard buttons on either side,,and another 8 buttons right
above it, all within easy reach.,At the top, you get 6 more dials,,which are also buttons you can press down,,and 12 virtual touch buttons between the dials.,Everything except for a couple
hard buttons is fully customizable,,so you can assign specific functions
to each button to fit your workflow.,In this video, I will be focusing on
using the Loupedeck CT with Final Cut Pro,,but this controller can be also
used with a bunch of other apps,like Premiere Pro, Photoshop,
Lightroom, DaVinci resolve,and much more.,To use the Loupedeck CT Editing Console,,you first need to download and
install the Loupedeck software.,This runs the controller,,and this is also where you set up and
customize all the buttons and dials.,Once the Loupedeck software is installed,,to make the most of it, we
need to install CommandPost.,Click on the Marketplace button,,select plugins and find CommandPost.,Click Learn More, and download
and install this plugin.,What CommandPost does,,is it adds a number of very

in this video we are going to take a,look at the new loop deck CT which is a,tool for creative work it allows you to,make powerful adjustments really quickly,across a variety of applications and,it's customizable to your specific needs,as a creator this is one of my new,favorite things this is luke beck CT and,it is essentially an input device that's,designed for creative work whether,that's visual work whether that's audio,applications whether that's visual and,so if you think of input devices like,keyboards and mice traditionally or what,we've had mice are designed to basically,point-and-click and do one thing,keyboards were designed for typewriters,and so we really have never had an input,device that was designed for creative,work there's been a couple tries in the,past I think loop deck have nailed it,with loop deck CT and I want to share,this with you today so this device is,made up of a series of knobs that you,can twist touch buttons physical buttons,and then you've got this wheel down here,that you can assign to various things so,think of it this way if you're editing a,photograph and let's say you're,adjusting exposure you're dealing with,white balance sometimes there's multiple,parameters that you want to be able to,adjust and it's kind of nice to be able,to do that one with a physical dial but,also to create a layout to where you can,get to these really quickly and just be,more in the moment and what this allows,me to do is feel like I'm actually,creating something rather than just,pointing and clicking or trying to,memorize keyboard shortcuts it's,compatible with a wide range of software,applications for instance image editors,like Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop you,can do video editing if you use Adobe,Premiere or even Final Cut Pro and it,also works with audio editors such as,Adobe Audition and even Ableton Live to,things that you need to get set up and,rolling first of all you need the actual,controller and you also need the loop,deck software which allows you not only,to customize all the functionality that,you're going to find on the controller,but it's also going to allow it to,interface with whatever application that,you're using and so you can find that if,you go to loop comm if you go under the,setup section of their website and,depending on whether you're on Mac or,Windows you download the installer for,your platform and then install that,launch it plug it in and you're ready to,go I've got this hooked up using the,included USB C cable which does power,the unit,it is worth noting that this will,support bluetooth any future software,update but as you can see it all lights,up to tell you basically how you have,this configured there are default,configurations we're gonna look at in a,second you can also customize everything,pretty much to whatever you want it to,do one thing that I love about loot deck,it is aware of the application that,you're using so for instance we're in,the finder right now if I switch this,over to let's say
