all right what's up guys if you found,this video then you probably have the,type of store where you need to show,your customers the sku number maybe,underneath the product title like this,and this is common if you have a,wholesale store,or maybe if your store has products with,a lot of different colors a lot of,different patterns and maybe it's a,little bit confusing for customers and,so it would benefit them to,be able to check the exact skew number,to make sure that they're getting the,right color or whatever unfortunately,many shopify themes don't have this,built in already and i'm not sure why,because it's really easy to just output,this value using liquid code,so i don't know why they wouldn't,include this option so luckily it's easy,enough to do that you're gonna do it,yourself,okay and just to clarify i am talking,about this field here so under inventory,we have the sku field that's what we're,going to be outputting directly to the,product page in a variety of different,ways i'll show you how to,i'll give you some options,and this is how it looks like if your,product does not have variance and this,is how it looks like if your product,does have variance then it will be,attached to every variant here you will,have a different skew for every variant,normally,and by the way if you are using the,barcode instead of the sku you can still,follow this tutorial simply everywhere,in the code where i say,dot sku,you would write dot barcode instead so,really easy so i'm going to show a few,ways to do this from easy to slightly,more difficult and you can decide what,is the best way for your situation and,your requirements the first way would be,for a product that does not have,variance things like size or color if,your product does not have that then,it's going to be super easy for you to,do this we're just going to be using the,custom liquid block type okay so this is,available on all shopify 2.0 themes and,you're going to be able to simply copy,and paste a lot of my code or code along,with me and just fill up this custom,liquid field here to output the skew,also if you're using an older theme that,is not on shopify 2.0 i will briefly,explain what you can do but you will,need to dig around in your theme files a,bit,to find maybe the product title so that,you can add the code that i'm talking,about in this tutorial underneath that,product title right you just need to,find the right spot to put that code all,right so the next part of the tutorial,is going to be if you have variants okay,and i'm going to show you a couple of,options here,the clean and really nice looking way,is to create a custom block type right,here these blocks that you have,available to you uh we're going to be,creating our own custom one and you see,this one with the lightning bolt is one,that i've created myself and i use that,lightning bolt to kind of visually,separate it and make it easy to see that,this is not part of the theme this is,one that i added myself,so you're just goin

hey everyone yang here codingwithyen.com,and today we're going to have a look at,shopify meta fields sometimes also,called custom fields really important,stuff because they basically allow us to,store additional information for,products orders or other important,objects and especially in the context of,online store 2.0 there were some,significant changes you need to know,about so let's have a look,all right so starting this video off,let's quickly talk about why we need,meta fields in the first place and why,they are so important,and i assume you all know how to create,products in shopify you just go to the,admin dashboard or products and when you,add a new one,the editor is pretty straightforward you,just enter a title a description,you can upload a few images set the,price,or add a bit of further information like,the stock keeping unit and so forth and,we could say this editor is quite good,because it works with most products and,i mean that's what it's designed for but,there are also certain instances where,you want to display additional details,in this example it could be the,headphones sensitivity the charging,current the voltage the battery type and,so forth and then you wouldn't find,suitable input fields here or let me,also give another example,if someone was in the food industry or,maybe selling supplements they would,want to enter nutrition values like,calories sugar the different vitamins,and then you wouldn't find suitable,input fields in here as well,and then you could create meta fields to,store that additional information so,that's what they are mainly used for,okay now in the past the only way to,create meta fields though was by using,apps or some hacky workarounds and now,shopify actually released a native,feature that also integrates very well,with the new theme architecture that we,talked about in my last video and that's,what i want to show you today,okay so first i want to show you some of,the new customizer features and as you,can see i currently have the dawn theme,installed a theme built on the 2.0,architecture that's very important and,then let's just visit the customizer,and bring up one of the product pages,so i have this collection right here,with three different headphones uh let's,just bring up the first one,and now i want to add a bit of the meta,information or additional information,that i just mentioned something like,sensitivity,voltage and charging current,and then we could create,a new block element right here,and let's use one of these collapsible,tabs,down here,and then we could just name that details,and paste some of the details right here,i already have them in my clipboard,so sensitivity 110 decibels voltage and,recharging current,let's give it a save for now,okay now we can find these values on the,front end so sensitivity voltage and,recharging current and the only problem,is that these values are now hard coded,or let's say constant across all the,product pages,let me even show you that,so,here we have

have you ever wondered what the best,shopify themes are,my name is clayton bates and in today's,video i'm actually going to share with,you,the best themes i've actually used in my,agency,so i'm actually a registered shopify,expert and i've built hundreds and,hundreds of sites,and in my personal opinion these are the,best themes that you can actually use on,shopify,now all these themes are paid themes,through the shopify theme store,i personally don't really use,third-party theme templates,mostly because shopify themes saw,all the themes are vetted by shopify,they have strict,guidelines that they actually have to,use and that's why i actually think,they're better,sometimes third party theme templates,it's a bit like the wild wild west,the only one i really ever use is to,beautify i don't use that as much,anymore because i focus more on branded,websites now with that being said i,really value your time,so let's get into it i'll leave some,time stamps so you can jump straight to,whatever part you want to,look at or interested in so basically if,you actually come to the theme store,here,you can like select what sort of,industry you're,in to see the best templates and stuff,like that,you can like click all themes and then,you can actually go through this side,menu here and actually,select a couple of features that you,like and it will actually,give you the best suited theme templates,that might work for you,now basically the first one on my list,that are actually you know what i should,probably say this one quick thing before,i get into the list,but basically if you click on any of the,themes here,most of them have multiple,demo stores that you can actually look,at so basically down here it says how,many styles and you can click,view demo you can actually also try them,on your store so if you press,try um it'll be like a it'll be like a,free trial where you can like,have a little play around with see if it,works for you sort of thing you can't do,any coding on a theme troll,but it'll give you a pretty good idea if,it's going to work and then it'll tell,you some of the features,and you if you go down here,it normally has reviews but this one,doesn't have reviews yet,and sometimes it will actually display,other sites that are actually using that,template so you can actually check that,out as well,so the first one on my list is press,stage,so let's have a look at prestige here,i actually wrote some notes here so i,don't forget anything,but basically prestige if you have,really really nice images mostly fashion,niches work really well with prestige,but,if you have really really nice images,you can build out a really beautiful,website with prestige i've built out a,few websites with prestige probably 30,to 50,and seen some really good results,especially when some people,have like really really nice images now,it's not the best theme if you have lots,of text and stuff like that,but if you're more focused on like,imagery and stuff like that it works,really r

hey everyone theme rhino from,themerhino.com,today we're going to be talking about,shopify product,grids we're going to be talking about,the benefits of them how to use them,what kind of,instances you would want to use them and,the different kinds of shopify product,grids,now what you're looking at here is,actually not a shopify product grid,but it is a shopify product carousel tab,also it has a tabbed carousel which,is a feature where people can switch,through the different,uh sections or collections in your,clothing store,but let's talk about what a product the,grid actually looks like so let's go,ahead,over here and hit add section and let's,talk about,different product grids so obviously,something to know is that every shopify,theme,is slightly different not every shopify,theme is created equal,you have some free themes you have some,paid themes you have some,paid themes that are better than free,themes and you got themes the free,themes that are,better than paid themes what i would,recommend is that everybody gets a theme,from a reputable source just to be,available because there are some,paid themes that people advertise for,free and they basically say hey get a,discount,get it for free meanwhile they have back,door access,to your business to your um livelihood,and they essentially are robbing you,from your shopify store and hacking you,so,that's just something to be aware of now,back to the the,um conversation of product grid so,whatever a product a grid is going to,look like is something like this,now in this case we have a product,tabbed grid which is one of many,different types of,variations that there are when it comes,to product grids,okay so essentially we have different,tabs here let's go ahead and just focus,on,one tab so let's remove all these,different tabs that we have,and by the way guys if you're interested,in this shopify theme that we're using,it's from wolff of shopify.com,i'll leave my affiliate link in the,description box down below along with,the discount code,it is the alpha theme this is the theme,that you're looking at,we also will show you how it looks with,the regular,woofer shopify theme which is a little,bit cheaper,but we'll just show you how it works so,essentially,you have a product grid and the purpose,of a product grid,is to show customers without customers,having to scroll,or flip through or select any kind of,collections or links,they get access to a whole load of,products and at many different times you,can,add different kinds of products to your,collection grid meaning,you can add um you know best sellers you,can add featured products,and you can segment between them you can,add a certain collection that you want,to add,and all this has to do with the the,selection through the collections page,so if you're not aware we have what's,referred to as a collections page,where if we go to here to products we,have a collections button,right and this collections button is,essentially the best way i could,help you
