today more Pro tips all about working,with pliers from your Jewel school team,hey guys Susan Thomas here and today,we're going to be giving you some Pro,tips all about Flyers I'm going to be,showing you some things that Alicia is,going to show you some things and,Katie's also going to show you some neat,tips about pliers so if you have any,burning questions and you're wondering,about how to use pliers today's your day,so today I'm going to be talking to you,guys about a round nose plier and things,that can happen when you're making Loops,a lot of times when you're making Loops,at the top of a piece and you're trying,to make that perfect Loop and you're so,proud because you wrapped your wire,perfectly around the round nose plier,and you have this beautiful Loop and,then you go on and you're wrapping the,rest of your piece and you go down,you're doing all this fun decorative,stuff you get back up to the top and,something happened your Loop is not a,loop anymore maybe it's a little wonky,maybe it's a little triangular maybe one,side got smaller than the other maybe,it's sitting off to the side and so one,of the things that a round nose plier is,great for is fixing those Loops so a lot,of times you're going to try to pick at,it with a chain nose plier or grab it,from the side with that smaller part,don't do that what you want to do is,take the entire plier and push it,through the loop and then from there you,can kind of squeeze your Loops back,together if you have a double Loop and,just kind of then push the pliers see,how I'm kind of like almost wiggling it,like this and then and turn it around,and push it back through on the other,side wiggle it around a little bit and,then look,everything's right back to round,I hope you enjoyed that tip let's see,what Alicia has,hey guys I'm Alicia and I'm going to,show you my tip with the nylon pliers so,usually you use these to get the Kinks,out of your wire or straighten your wire,out so you can use it for that that but,also I like to do it,when I am forming an ear wire,so I go and I just push my ear wire down,and then I like to come in with my nylon,plier and really,give it,an extra little curve,and then on the back side do the same,thing,so you're just kind of like,making that perfect,oval shape,and then you can come and cut it off,make your little Loop,if you want to leave that back piece,long you can or you can come and kind of,cut it off just a little bit more to,where you get something that looks like,this,so there's my tip on the nylon pliers,you can use it for straightening you can,use it for forming your wire all kinds,of things,so let's see what Katie has,hey guys I'm going to show you some,unexpected ways to use your tools,first off I'm going to show you one of,my secret tricks for my six step bail,shaping plier you may have seen me do,this before if you've watched a lot of,our videos but I just use this trick all,the time I'm always looking for ways to,save time and make Joy faster so you can,actua

hi everybody it's Dr Laurie and I'm here,with more real Bargains we've got some,great ones today everybody's giving me,permission to retell their stories about,the bargains that they found and we've,got our Deco diamonds that's right we've,got Christian Dior jewelry and a work of,art by one of America's most famous,artists you're gonna recognize this one,I'm going to start right there so this,first work of art comes from this first,real bargain which is a work of art,comes from a online appraisal report,submitted the photos and the form I give,them the appraisal report and this,client said to me Dr Laurie I was in the,thrift store and I was looking at golf,clubs,so it goes in to look for golf clubs and,he comes out with a work of art and,here's the work of art he said I was,looking at golf clubs and there were two,works of art and they were stuck behind,the rack where the golf clubs were being,stored so he said he goes I figured I,better look at them seemed like somebody,was hiding them because the next day was,the 50 off day at the thrift store you,know they're hiding stuff because they,want to get the discount the next day,they expect it to come back this work of,art is by Peter Max and you probably,recognize Peter Max's very,characteristic modern style this is the,American flag acrylic on canvas it's 30,by 36 inches it's framed and he's known,for everything from images and artwork,for the Olympics and the US Olympic team,to of course,um the actual works of art that he did,to decorate cruise ships that's right,the Hall of cruise ships for NCL Cruise,Lines Peter Max also designed that you,might know him for his very character,heuristic images of American flags and,of course of the Statue of Liberty this,work was found in a thrift store that's,right the American flag in a thrift,store it's beautiful it's very,indicative of his style it's got his big,characteristic signature which everybody,recognizes but my client said I'd never,heard of him I went to the front of the,store and I thought I don't know who,this is but it seems like a pretty good,piece I think I'm going to take it I,like the frame he liked the frame he,knew he was going to send it to me so I,can give an appraisal and he purchased,it guess how much he purchased it for 24,that's right he said he went to a,auction house the auction house said he,could sell it for three thousand guess,what it's really worth sales records,show that the auction house is wrong the,thrift store didn't know what they had,it's worth eight thousand dollars and,it's a real bargain here's a winner for,you this is a video caller who called me,because they he bought this at a pawn,shop that's right look at this brooch,look at those diamonds 1920s at the end,of course the end of the Edwardian,period why how do you know look at that,nice ribbon at the top that's the end of,course of the Edwardian era beautiful,piece,236 diamonds got it at the pawn shop 18,karat white gold tested the gold with a,fire opal in the midd

hi everyone welcome back to my channel,if you're new here i'm lois and today we,are finally doing the updated jewelry,collection video it's been almost a year,since the last one and you guys have,been requesting for an updated jewelry,collection video so today i'm finally,filming one for you guys just like last,time i'm gonna kind of share with you,guys my everyday pieces i mentioned this,before in my video but as someone who,loves to collect jewelry i love to find,quality pieces that will last me over,time for me jewelry is somewhat of an,investment and also has a very,sentimental value that i know that i can,pass on to my kids also something that i,don't have to worry about,in the shower as well as tarnishing all,of that all the brands that i share are,brands i genuinely love and value so,hopefully this will give you guys a,little bit of inspiration and let's just,get right into it i'm going to start off,with my rings these are my daily rings,it actually hasn't changed that much,since the last time but i'll start off,with this hand this is the stacker ring,from missouri and i have a bunch of,these i just love putting them on all,different fingers just very casual cool,look and then this is a chain ring from,a boutique in korea and i just love how,dainty it is,and then next is this missouri diamond,stacker ring and i love this this is,probably one of my must-haves if i had,to pick one it's just a great stacker,ring and i've stacked it with my cartier,ring right here which is this is the,thin version,and i've also added another one on top,this one only goes halfway so on the,other side it's gold,and then my pinky ring this has also,been one that i've had for a very long,time it's from a store called popular,jewelry in chinatown new york and then,on this hand it's pretty much the same,pieces the chain ring the diamond team,ring and this one is from missouri,it's the charlotte diamond ring and i,love it i love this ring because it just,adds a little bit more character when it,comes to styling i like to usually use,my pointer finger i like to add a more,bolder piece to it so whether it be this,charlotte ring or even this,other kind of dome diamond ring,and to finish off my everyday ring i,just also added another stacker ring on,my thumb,one of my favorite places to buy rings,are missouri they just have such a wide,selection and their diamond collection,is definitely by far my favorite the,diamonds are such high quality and,there's just something about it it,shimmers and glitters so beautifully,especially in the sun definitely have to,go see it in person the first one i'm,going to share is this,diamond eternity ring i'll also put it,on so you guys can see,i also like to stack it with,this ring which are just gold beaded and,then on the front just has these two,little diamonds the next couple of other,rings are also from missouri this is,another one from the diamond line it's,this diamond dome ring,this on its own is such a statement,next is this yell

hello everyone welcome back to my,channel today i want to share with you,my most want jewelry pieces and then,also do a little bit of an updated,jewelry collection in front of me over,here i have these two trays i really,enjoy storing my jewelry like this,because i have an acrylic lid over these,so i can see very clearly what i have,inside it makes selecting jewelry every,morning super easy because i can just,see everything very clearly i am going,to start off with rings today because,there is one particular ring stack which,i wear very often and this is the only,thing that i would say i repeat most,days when it comes to my jewelry on this,finger here i have a snake ring which is,a vintage ring and i got this from a,cellar called keepsakegems on instagram,i was really drawn to the fact that this,ring is very solid it feels like a very,strong and statement piece of jewelry,and i also like the details including,the diamonds for the snake eye and the,little opal in the mouth to balance off,the chunky ring i have a majuri band,here this is a white gold band with,little diamonds and i like the contrast,between these two pieces on this hand i,have a ring from the 1920s so this is an,antique piece and it has a sapphire in,the middle as well as two little,diamonds on the side so this is,definitely one of my most extravagant,jewelry purchases this one i really,enjoyed because my birthstone was on it,but i also like the design where the,stones are flush against the setting i,think it's called a bezel setting i like,how flat it is because something like,this for me feels a lot more delicate,and it does catch on to things a lot,easier i would say about 90 of the time,this is my ring stack which i'm wearing,these are all of my daintier rings and,these are i think all from mid-jury one,of my favorite designs is this one,because it's got so many little pave,stones that it just catches the light,really beautifully when it comes to,their simple bands this is definitely my,favorite one i just feel like the way,it's cut makes it feel really unique my,last favorite of these dainty pieces is,this one everything about this ring is,very dainty and very minimal and i just,love it stacked with other rings or worn,alone my next piece of jewelry is from,the brand learn the read and it's this,little ballerina ring this was a gift,from my best friend about five or six,years ago i really love it because it,feels very whimsical and girly this,brand does a lot of very fun whimsical,jewelry and i'm actually going to be,showing you another piece from them a,little bit later i really love this,brand for costume jewelry and i think if,you're looking for something fun,something that's a little bit different,than all the minimal stuff out there you,can check out this brand the next two,rings i have are quite similar and this,one here is from monica venita and this,one here is from the jury i really like,that these have a floating look to them,and i usually wear these layered because,
