what's up youtube today i'm going to be,showing you guys how to create a high,converting product description just like,this one that will help boost your,conversion rates on your shopify store,let's go ahead and get into it,so to start off this tutorial we're,going to start by finding the product,that we actually want to make this,product description for,so right now i have this product that i,have selected uh to use for this uh,tutorial and we can see here that it is,a sunset lamp,and i've go ahead and imported it to my,store here for just a test store that,i've set up for this product and we can,go ahead and click on it here and,it will now load,and you can see that,in the actual description already when,you import it you'll probably already,have something inside of here but you're,not going to want to use this because,this is usually pretty bad for actual,copy to drive traffic to,so what we're going to want to do is,just go ahead and highlight everything,in this,description that's already here,and we're just going to go ahead and,delete,that,and now we're going to have a clean,slate that we can actually go ahead and,start making our product description for,now the first thing we actually want to,do when selling our product is come up,with a product name so for this,we see that it's a sunset lamp so we,could say something like,tuya lamp so something with this first,part and this part of the name just,something that makes it seem like it's,unique to our brand,so if we go ahead and do this,and do that we have this and,yes it's not perfect but we're just,testing this product and we want to make,sure that it looks nice and clean and it,matches our brand,so after we have this for our title we,can go ahead and start with the,description so for the description we,have a few items that we can use to,actually craft this description but what,we want to do is we want to actually,sell this item to the person we don't,just want to talk about the product we,don't want to say,why it's so great,even though we do want to mention those,benefits we want to see why our customer,actually needs it and why they would,benefit from using it when writing my,product descriptions i usually use a,tool called jasper and if you come here,and you click on e-commerce we can find,that uh we actually have something,called product description here,and we can go ahead and put our product,name a bit about the product and the,tone of voice we want and we can get,generated copywriting at the click of a,button so for this product we have the,tuaya lamp so we'll go ahead and copy,this and just paste it in for the,product name,now we have to tell us about the product,so for this we're going to actually want,to do a little bit of research about the,product and understand some of the,benefits that it might have,so if we see here we come over we can go,ahead and click on some of these and see,some of the benefits that this product,might have,so if we scroll down here to the,description we

it's getting close to christmas so let's,go with the green backdrop i hope you,guys are all having a great year and,your 2021 was as good as it could be,with everything going on but let's hope,for a better 2022 and in this video if,you're interested in building an,ecommerce brand i think this video is,going to help you it's the age old,question woocommerce or shopify,you guys all might have your own opinion,on this i know i did for a while being,an old-school wordpress guy all the,websites we historically have built over,the years of blue water marketing have,been wordpress so initially i would say,woocommerce is your answer,wordpress is free shopify costs money,wordpress is highly customizable shopify,definitely is or was,not so in this video i'm going to break,down my experience with the difference,between woocommerce,and shopify and now my view,i haven't used woocommerce in a while so,for those of you who don't know,woocommerce is a plug-in essentially a,software that goes within the wordpress,dashboard that lets you build out your,entire website using woocommerce,wordpress in whichever page builder you,want,so for page builders for wordpress we,use elementor elementor pro it's,phenomenal it allows you to drag and,drop things wherever you want to ensure,that you're getting a website that is,customized to what your needs are now,for shopify their regular themes need to,be customized using liquid javascript,all these technical codes that i have no,idea how to write so the question for me,was always man wordpress makes things a,whole lot easier now diving deeper into,the technical side of things,wordpress is a great plugin i'm sure you,guys all know about it called yoast seo,and that helps optimize the wordpress,website so if you're able to piggyback,wordpress with elementor pro,with woocommerce,with yoast and everything else that you,can do to customize these websites and,make your life really easy,i'd always say woocommerce so,woocommerce is going to be much better,for customizability,and that's kind of it because something,huge just changed within the last couple,of months with shopify shopify was built,and it's sales driven right you have an,easy access to ups usps dhl every,shipping option you can customize your,boxes everything is integrated into the,selling of your products,but it wasn't necessarily built for the,ease of use for a general normal person,trying to start an e-commerce store,now wordpress and woocommerce you had to,sign up for fedex and you had to do all,these different things and get shipping,plug-ins and you had to do all these,things in order to make the checkout,process as seamless as possible and make,the shipping as easy as possible shopify,was like we're gonna do that first and,it's phenomenal,discounts and codes all of these,different things,but again we go back to needing a custom,developer so what just happened changed,everything for me shopify released,themes 2.0 and within each theme it now,has a drag and drop aspe

if you're watching this video then i'm,assuming you have a large store with,lots of products,and also that you're already using,metafields or at least you're quite,familiar with metafields if you're not,very comfortable with metafields i've,actually already created a video,introducing metafields and you'll find,the link for that in the top left of,this video right now,the problem you might be having if you,do have a large store,is that you have lots of matter fields,to fill out,and it's very very time consuming to go,into every product page scroll down to,the bottom fill out the meta field and,then go to the next product and do the,same thing,it's ridiculous to do that for say 500,products normally when you need to edit,your products in bulk you can go to this,all products page click this check box,and select all products in your store,then click on edit products and it will,show you fields that you can edit in,bulk and you can add fields to this page,with this drop down but as you can see,our meta fields don't show up here these,are only default shopify fields luckily,there is a way to get around this,limitation,remember my fabric metal field that i'm,using on this product,well here it is in the bulk editor,so it is possible to access metafields,in the bulk editor and this is done by,paying attention to the url let's go,back to the bulk editor that i opened,which is just showing the standard price,field,so let's have a look at this url,it says admin bulk okay and then we have,resource name is product okay so we're,editing products and that says edit and,that says variance dot price,okay that's because it's showing the,price,so how about we try to change this,we're going to type meta fields okay,and then we need the name space and key,of our meta field that we want to edit,okay and you can find this,on the metafield definitions page which,you can access by going to settings,and then meta fields so you can see my,meta fields here i have like length and,fabric,so my fabric matter field is,metafields.specs.fabric this is called,the namespace and this is the key,but basically,you're going to copy and paste or type,this in,and we don't need the product part so,just metafields.specs.fabric,that's going to go,i lost it but that's going to go,right after edit equals,right and we go meta fields dot specs,dot fabric,okay and hit enter,and there we go there's my fabric meta,field,now you can actually edit more than one,meta field at a time so we can have just,as we can add fields like the title,or,like tags,we can also,add extra meta fields,and the way you can do that is to,separate all your meta fields,with,percent to c okay so after our meta,field,after our fabric matter field we're,gonna type percentage sign 2,and capital c,and then we're going to write meta,fields,again those specs,dot length this time okay because this,is the name space and key of my length,meta field,okay,and the url's just jumped again,but here we are matter field specs,fabric then p
