[Tutorial] How To Build Your Online Store With Shopify District Theme
hello everyone,welcome to this quick rundown of,shopify's district theme,in this video we'll be taking a look at,the elements of district's homepage,we'll show you what each element does,and how you can use it to achieve great,results on your store,so first we need to download the theme,to do that simply find district on the,shopify theme store,and click on try theme,then come down here and click on,customize theme,which will bring you to the shopify,editor,you can see on the left side the full,list of elements that this theme,provides you with,we'll start here with the slideshow,element,here you can set the width choose,whether or not to auto rotate the slides,and change the length of time that each,slide is displayed,down here you can alter the content for,each of the slides,this is my header slide where i can,change the images for both desktop,and mobile views i can change the,heading here,and here i can change the alignment of,my text and button,you can do the same with the other two,slides in your slideshow,here okay the next element is the,featured grid,which you can use to promote your,featured collections,on district's default setting this is,two large images and three smaller,images,again you can change the name of the,grid alter the spacing,and set how many images you want to show,per line,you can change the placement of the text,to set it below the image,or over the image like this,you can alter all of these images,separately depending on what you want,for your store,here's the lookbook preview which comes,with a heading,button label and button link,below that we have the featured,collection with text,you should use this to display your best,collection and the products within it,you can change what the button says to,where it links and the number of,products shown in the grid,we recommend keeping it to a relatively,low number so as not to overload your,customer,the featured collection section is,pretty much the same thing,just without the text,the shop the look section is a great,inclusion,you can use it to show real-life photos,of your products,which you can then link to another page,on your store,you can also link it to your instagram,account to show how people are using,your products in real life,then set how many images to show in the,row on desktop and mobile view,the latest updates section is perfect,for showing news stories and articles,from your blog,you can change the title and the button,of this section,also you can set how many posts to show,and change other details about their,display,such as alignment and what they show on,the home page,the custom content section is your,chance to display a video on your home,page,you can use this as a promotional video,about a product,but it's also good to use it as an about,us section,this gives your store more human,presence,change the alignment here depending on,which side you want it to display on,your home page,you can paste the link to your youtube,video in here and set the width,it
welcome to ecom ranks,in this video i will guide you step by,step tutorial on how you are,able to design your shopify website or,simply redesign your website,okay so in this video basically i will,do the,redesign of already existing website,so here is the website and,you will also get to know that how you,can avoid bad practice bad practices,for your shopify store okay right now,we see that the colors are not good,this slider image is not showing,properly and the text is not even,visible,this button is also not changing is any,edge over effect or any other effect,when i,move my mouse over it so it should be,interactive,okay the menu colors are not good,and i would suggest to use a fixed,uh header despite of the instead of the,transparent header it's not a good,practice to use transparent header,okay so if we follow ecommerce standards,we should use a fixed header with white,backgrounds and then,the menu with black color,okay so here we also see that the logo,is missing,there is no icon and this is the simple,text,and this is the browser,tab uh favicon so it's also missing here,just like the shopify tab it it's,basically,a bag for the shopify it's good okay,so in this store and there is,a small bad icon bad,icon we need to add a good favicon,okay and when we scroll down the color,scheme is too bad,it's mustard color and it's not good,and i don't believe,who can buy from this store okay so it's,a,quite bad store and needs a complete,redesign okay so in this,theme we see many faults just like,here the footer section is also not,professional,there should be two lines of the menu,and this is,the powered by shopify written and it's,not good because,it will spoil the trust of your,customers okay,so this is your brand,and it's not a shopify brand so you,should,represent your website okay not,powered by shopify or anything related,to it,okay so the announcement header is also,not,attractive wholesale deals available and,it doesn't attract me okay so,i would suggest to do a complete,redesign of this website,if you have these mistakes or similar to,other ones or need a,complete redesign then watch my video,till and you will get a lot of,information related to your website,okay please don't forget to hit the,subscribe button and hit the bell icon,okay,so here i have already added a theme,okay so here is the theme called the,beautify,i will use this theme to customize or do,the redesign process,it's a free theme you can download it,from their website,simply write on google that you beautify,free theme,okay from going to this thing and then,clicking on the login button you are,able to download the,debutify theme anyhow i will also add,this theme,file directly into my drive and then,link within the video description so,that you can,easily download it by just one click,okay so now click on the customize,button,first of all we need to design the logo,okay for the logo i would suggest to use,this vector website it's a free website,to design,your illustrations okay

Hey friends, Andrew here hope you're well.
In today's video, I'm going to show you ,one of my favorite Shopify apps to completely
customize and transform your store in only about ,10 to 15 minutes from scratch so without wasting
time let's jump straight onto my laptop here and ,i'll show you step by step how to build a
beautifully custom shopify store with this ,no code page builder app incredibly important
considering that your store represents your brand ,and your vision and by the way i'll be giving

this video so to build out a custom shopify ,store today the very first thing you want to
do is go on to the shopify app store actual ,first step is to get shopify if you haven't yet
already and if you haven't yet already i'll drop ,a link to an extended free trial down below if
you want to follow along with this video now ,once you have your shopify store go on to the app
store and then this is where we're going to get a ,crucial tool and this app is going to allow us
to build and design a shopify store without all ,the custom coding and it's called gem pages right
here so gem pages they're known as this no code ,page builder on shopify and it's really useful
in building a high converting store without code ,it's essentially a drag and drop builder that
myself and the team have used to design custom ,shopify sales pages and the plan of attack today
is to create a custom one product store simply by ,using the gem pages drag and drop tools right
here i've spent some time before this video ,creating the brand and all the assets like product
renders brand name and whatnot i'm calling it to ,charge because we all need to charge our devices
that's terrible i know i have all the assets to ,go in my folder right here as you can see and so
what we're going to do now is build out our page ,with gem pages using all the files that i've
created here so head on to the dashboard and then ,click create new from here is click more types and
you can see that you're able to create a bunch of ,different pages based on what you want to go for
so a landing page a home page a product page etc ,and so let's just click for example home page so
there's a whole bunch of home page templates here ,there's also a whole bunch of landing pages the
theory here is i'm going to build a one product ,store so i'm going to use a landing page
only and i found the one that i want to use ,and it's bluetooth headphones you can click
preview to preview the template first or ,you can just click start editing so i'm going
to click start editing i'm going to give the ,the page name a name and then click header and
footer i want this off only because we're creating ,a one product store and we don't want a header and
footer at the bottom really quickly though you can ,use a completely blank canvas but if you want to

hi guys it's lata from template monster,and today i'm going to show you how to,install shopify themes,i've chosen pet shop template created by,zamasu,so first of all you will need to create,an account at shopify.com as shopify is,a self-hosted e-commerce platform i've,already created a free trial account but,you may go ahead and choose one of their,paid plans right away,let's check our theme package,please note that i've already extracted,the downloaded zip file and inside we,have screenshots folder,sources folder and our theme zip,which we need to upload in shopify admin,panel,navigate to online store themes,and,upload theme zip,in theme library section,add file,upload,while it is uploading i want to warn you,that you will not see the images right,after installation it is not a bug or a,theme issue,the reason is that in old,themes all images were assigned to their,locations in theme files and it was not,very comfortable to replace them there,now images can be changed directly in,customizer so you can simply add the,images to their locations after theme,installation,done our theme is uploaded now we can,publish,it you can also do this later and edit,the theme in preview,refresh,okay it is installed,let's upload some banner image to,illustrate how it works please go to,customizer,um i want to upload image to this banner,here it goes,uh select image,upload,sources images nah there was a sleeping,dock,shopify also offers three images,you can also choose the image there so,our image is uploaded select,save,change shape let's check,where is our image,i think that you've also mentioned that,catalog is not available after,installation and it is not the issue too,there is simply no option to install it,with a template right away,there are some authors add a file with,products catalog to sources folder and,you can import it in products section,here products menu,import,add file,and,choose products file,from sources folder,okay guys that's it for today i hope,that this video was useful for you and,if you are looking for ready-made,shopify themes to enhance your,productivity and workflow consider going,to tablet monster digital marketplace,thanks for watching bye,you

Well, everyone Christian here,that, you know,,beautiful design and excellent,user experience can increase,the perceived value,of your Shopify store.,I want to go over best practices.,Why they actually matter.,And I'm actually going to show you,hands on how to get it done,on the dawn theme.,Stick around.,It takes point zero,5 seconds for a customer to decide,if they're going to,shop on your site or not.,That's insane if you think about it.,So it's very,,very important,that you are doing,everything in your power,to stand out,and make a great first impression.,Now we're going to categorize,best practices,into four main categories,that define a great e-commerce,website experience.,Number one is going to be,esthetically pleasing.,The be esthetically,pleasing category.,So first off,,your Shopify store,needs to impress,the customer, right?,So a good visual appeal is a must.,If you're going to capture,their attention and 50 milliseconds.,So what are some best practices,to ensure that your website,is esthetically pleasing?,Well, I'm glad you asked.,The first one is to display,your product,photography with a clean,white background,and also include,lifestyle photos of your products,being used.,That's like the gold standard.,You don't,necessarily have to,follow it verbatim,,but I'm telling you,,these are best practices.,So maybe,you don't have a white background,,maybe you have a slight,gray background,,maybe you have a pan background.,The important thing here,is to make sure,that your photography is on point,,that your photography looks,great, crisp,,you can actually appreciate,the product.,We've actually talked,on several videos,on different examples,of different websites who are doing,great product photography,and they don't necessarily follow,this white background gold standard.,Now, if you want to follow this,,then the number one app,that I would recommend is removed.,Dot be,,as you can see, remove,that bag,,remove the image background,of any image 100%,automatically and free,if you do want to use removed,the iPhone.,iPhone for iPhone 14 or iPhone 16.,I was,just came out,with an awesome feature,that if you take your photography,with your iPhone,,you can just tap hold,it will cut it out for you,and you can pace of,whatever you want.,So there are ways,to clean up your photos,very, very easily.,And again, obviously,,you want to have awesome lighting,with all your photos,,but cutting them up,,putting them in,some clean backgrounds.,Again, gold standard.,Best practice,number two,is to limit your website,to two main colors.,Use them wisely.,Now, in order to pick your colors,,you want to make sure,that you have some sort of either,brand guidelines or brand kit for,your whole company.,Right.,It's not just coming up with a logo.,A lot of times,the logos are just black and white,and they don't show a lot of color.,So it's very important that you pick,some sort of color palette,that showcases,the personality of the brand.,It showcases,who the brand really is,,and

what's up everybody mark with ecom,warriors here,welcome to a new video today i'm going,to be breaking down,two different stores that i created um,with the same theme and,we're gonna just gonna go ahead and,compare and contrast,some of basically what's going on here,so let's go ahead and view here,uh this is the alfali remix store,and um excuse me here this is,the one interactive store here let's go,ahead and check these stores out let's,hit customize here,now mind you both of them are using the,same,uh demo for each theme so um,okay seems like i have to uh put them is,this the password page or did i mess,something up here,um okay yeah so i have to fix this real,quick,let me just go ahead and pause this and,put in the password,okay sounds good so we got it so this is,the second store that i created and so,we have,the two different stores here let's go,ahead and analyze them by the way,what we're doing here also is we're,using the same,uh theme demo so to be clear the theme,that we're using,is the wolf of shopify theme let me go,ahead and just type that in here,wolf of shopify now they've recently,changed their website a little bit they,have some,products and things but this is the,theme that i got it's this little blue,button up here,with a shopify theme this is the theme,right here uh,a hundred and fifty nine dollar theme,currently a hundred dollars,um basically if you want the theme i'll,leave a discount code in,my description box down below for you,guys to get 25,off uh on your purchase uh but or 25,i can't remember what the difference is,but anyways um,this is the theme and you guys are gonna,see it live in action so the theme comes,with,five different demos right and so,basically what demos are they're just,like,different setups or designs for the,theme right and you can,take a look at some of the images here,and things like that but,you know you guys will take a look at,that in your own time for now let's just,take a look at these two different,designs that i created,with the same demo this is demo number,three of the five different demos,okay so we have this uh we have,the first the pop-up the mailing list,pop-up now,something that i recommend with these,mailing listers is that you want to have,some form of,incentivization uh you know obviously i,didn't work on the copy here i worked on,the design for these stores,but anything other than join our mailing,list is probably good,like you wouldn't want to have a context,that just says hey join our mailing list,like,for the average person look the average,person in the world today is skeptical,they're doubtful uh they're angry,they just feel like they're missing,something right and as consumers,uh this feeling is heightened that's why,uh majority of people's conversion rates,are below five percent,right that means less than five percent,of the people,are going to come and purchase a product,from you uh,on on a psychological agreeableness,factor right agreeableness is one of the,measurements peo
