how to edit swatches for collection filter on impulse theme for shopify

in this video i'm going to show you how,to um add the collection filter to the,impulse,theme it's kind of a pain in the oh you,know what so if you look at this when,you go to any of these collections,right and you have this filter by color,here it has really pretty swatches right,so in order to get these swatches to,show up correctly they have to be named,exactly as,they are,inside of the assets folder so in this,case if you look at this one's called,aquamarine well we ended up creating a,swatch,and uploading it into the assets folder,and how you get here,is you're going to go to your online,store,and then you go to actions and you go to,edit code,and then you are going to,wait for the load wait for it to load,and then we'll expand with this little,box right here and you scroll down,onto your assets section now you don't,uh you have to create these swatches in,photoshop right these are real tiny so,if you go ahead and in this case let's,go ahead and copy this one,and or you could create it in any other,photo program,but they are,50 by 50 pixels so,um i'm just going to show you this other,so in photoshop what i did here is like,you go to new,and i'll make a another swatch and i'll,paste this there's my purple so if i,look at the actual size of this,it's 50 by 50 pixels okay,so i want to call that when i save it,as a png file,it's going to be called,amethyst.png,right so amethyst.png,so now i'm going to go ahead and um say,i didn't create that i just saved it on,my computer go to add new asset i'll,choose my file and then in this case i,have white gold plenty but i'm not going,to upload that so say that was amethyst,it would upload it and it would put it,right here,in the list for me so for every swatch,that you have,make sure they're named correctly and if,this watch has multiple names you're,going to want to make sure there's a,hyphen between it and not an underscore,so if you look in here,it's probably here you go cyan ruby,underscore so that's not going to work,with the underscore,so you have to have a hyphen in there so,this thing's kind of weird this way so,now if we go back,and we look at this,uh website you'll see here are the,swatches and then the swatches are,showing up here right because they're,named accordingly now under these,products,if you look at this product so we have,choose your color,so in this case it's called white gold,plated rose gold plated so i have to,make sure that i have swatches that are,called exactly the same thing,white gold plated rose gold plated so if,i go and i look at my assets folder i,went ahead and created those already so,i have,uh white gold plated notice there's,hyphen hyphen right and then you have,red i think i've got one in here yeah,now so rose gold plug is that one let's,see,so yeah yeah rose gold plated so they,put the tag in here red gold pleated,which is incorrect so this needs to have,a tag,of whatever these colors are here,excuse me,whatever the tag of these colors are,here right white gold pla

Shopify Impulse Theme Add to Cart Drawer on Collection Pages

my name is raven and welcome back to,studio raven,today i have another requested video,from,some of my commenters on our series on,cart drawers and shopify themes in order,to have,add to cart buttons on collection pages,which,actually translate into adding to the,cart drawer,as opposed to sending you to the cart,page,on the theme today we're going to be,looking at the,impulse theme last time we looked at the,brooklyn theme which is a free theme,available to,all shopify customers this time we're,going to be taking a look at a more,premium theme,called impulse the impulse theme is a,wonderful theme,it has a lot of choices for merchants a,lot of settings a lot of options,and overall makes your life a whole lot,easier with all of its customizations,which go far beyond that of a free,shopify,theme outside of the box of course,all uh shopify themes can be edited you,can customize everything to your liking,however it may be in the best interest,of some merchants to purchase,theme because of all of the uh,special things you get out of the box,therefore you don't have to hire a,developer,and pay for their time to customize it,for you,so today we're going to be looking into,this theme,editing the code a little bit in order,to add the add to cart buttons on the,collections page,so let's jump right into that so,i'm going to show currently what we have,on the home page the,home page here is,just a small customization and it shows,here,our collections so i'm going to go ahead,and shop,our collections here,so now we can see we're on the,collections page and from the last set,of videos you'll know that we're using,our cartoon characters,we can click on more info and that'll,take us to,the product page on the product page,when we click add to cart,it will open up the cart drawer and you,can see i've actually been,doing this uh for a little while so,let's go ahead and clear that up,just make sure there's nothing in the,cart so that we can confirm of course,that everything was added,and let's do that again perfect,now then let's get back to it we want,this to occur,on the collections pages we want an add,to cart button,we want to be able to add those items,to the cart drawer directly so,let's go ahead and take a look first,things first,when we go into our impulse theme we,want to go directly into theme settings,cart and make sure that our cart type is,on drawer,we want to do this to make sure that,product pages are taken care of,and also that we have a good base for,what to copy and paste into our product,grid items to make sure that the drawer,opens in the first place,so i'm going to assume that you already,have this set,if not you would just click draw and,save but since i already have it,i don't need to do so let's jump right,into the code,here i have a few things pre-opened and,i'm going to just,quickly go through what we want to open,here,first we want to open the product grid,item,this is a snippet inside of the theme,you would just scroll down into,alphabeti

Creating Custom Product Pages without Apps — Archetype Themes

creating custom product templates in the,latest versions of our themes has never,been easier,the question does come up quite a bit,how do i create unique content for,different products in this example i'm,going to show you how to create your own,custom layouts that can then be used to,show unique product specific content on,your product pages,if we open up the theme editor you'll,see that all of our themes ship with,pre-made templates to help get you,started,they're all included with the expanse,impulse motion and streamline themes,the first,product landing will give you a,marketing heavy landing page layout to,start with,the pre-order template lets your,customers order products that aren't,available yet,the gift card template it's a simpler,layout for your gift cards and then,lastly brand story is great for sealing,the deal by beautifully explaining what,sets your brand apart,in today's example i have two different,products made by two different designers,and i want to highlight the design story,on the product page unique to their,particular product,so this will require two unique product,templates,to create a product template we simply,create template,and we give this template a name,and i'm going to name these after,the designer,and then we can actually reference any,of the pre-built templates,as the basis for our new one and in this,example we're going to base it on the,default product template,we click create template,and that's literally all there is to it,we now have a brand new product inky,product template,and so again for this example i'm going,to add,an image with text section,and i want this to appear,a little bit higher up on the page,directly underneath,the product description,and,here we're going to add an image,we're going to add,some details,about the designer,perfect,so we'll save this to the template,and so now we're going to briefly jump,out of the theme editor into the admin,we'll come to this product,since this is designed by gee,assign that template to that product,so now when i view the product page,i have the designer details as a part of,that story,so now we just need to repeat this,process,for our second template,so we'll come back into the editor,to products we see our product,inky tab or template i should say,and we're actually going to use it,as the basis,for this,second template,that'll save us a step so that we don't,have to add any of the additional,image with text section we just need to,update this content,so we're going to swap this image,to be that of our secondary designer,and we'll swap this around so the image,appears on the left,with the designer details on the right,and we will save this template,perfect,and now again we'll jump out of the,editor,and we'll go back,into the admin,and we will,assign this template,to this product,perfect,and so now,when i come in and view these different,sunglasses,here's this product,with their designer information,and here's this product,with this designer's information,an

Top Shopify Clothing Store THEMES for 2022

hello everyone christian here and today,i'm going to share with you the top five,things to use if you have a clothing,store in 2022. there has been a few,changes this year and i'm excited to,show you so let's get started,so the first theme that we have is,called broadcast by invisible themes and,this theme will run you 280,now a lot of the themes have increased,if you haven't watched my previous video,a lot of these themes have increased in,pricing and that's because of the os 2.0,that shopify has released which just,opens up the ability for you to add a,lot of different features and a lot of,different customizations to all of your,themes so all the five things that we're,going to be talking about today are,under the os 2.0 so they do have that,higher price point so the first one is,broadcast,broadcast has a couple of really cool,features and uh i would highly suggest,this theme if these features speak to,you and you know for sure that you're,going to use them so one of them being,built-in upsells in the product page so,if we scroll down here and we go to,let's say this product page right here,you'll see that right here within even,above the description of the product it,says it goes with and then it shows you,a different product right here with the,ability for you to just click add and it,adds it to the cart so that's very,powerful not seen,natively on any other theme that i know,of so that right there is actually super,powerful and the way that works and they,show you right here is with the upsell,tags so it's just a tagging system in,the back end where,basically we're tagging this product in,order to show this product so they're,sort of tied together if you go to that,product it will also go to the other,product so,the upsell tags and tagging right here,within the uh product page very very,very powerful um the other thing is the,unique tap content and you will see this,through,again some of the os 2.0,themes where you have now the ability to,include unique information under these,tabs right here so these three tabs,these are all,it could be right now it's not set up,that way but it could be unique,information about that particular,product and nothing else so,let's say that you have a dress and you,want to talk about what the model right,for that particular dress is before,business owners and store owners have to,display all of the models that they use,right within the tab but now you can,just showcase that one right there,within that tab it's very powerful,the other thing is if we go back to the,home page,they do have a lot of different cool,sections in here,and things that look a little bit,different than your typical theme on,shopify but one that caught my attention,was this right here which is sort of a,shop the look,based off of,some of the,same functionality that instagram uses,right so you have this picture that has,multiple products and you have these,little plus signs on top of the picture,and when you click on them the product,on the
