hey everybody Ryan here CEO and founder,sales jeopardy back for a video number,two video number one surprisingly went,pretty well,I got some some really good feedback,some good comments some good in mails,afterwards with some great questions,glad I was there to add a little bit of,entertainment and of course you know,bring up a pretty cool,cool topic for us all to discuss and,debate speaking of discussing and,debating this next topic I want to bring,up is one that is actively spoken about,amongst my peers in my groups and it's,something that seems to be a constant,within the world of sales but,specifically within the role of the,sales developer or the business,development rep okay it's about,compensation plans and I'm gonna draw,off of my past experience going through,this not once not twice but three times,in building inside sales teams STRs and,the AES from scale and going through,multiple just just examples and samples,and and versions of compensation plans,but the one that has always been complex,to solve for has been for the SDR for,for many reasons right for for for,operational reasons for financial,reasons within the business but all of,that aside what I want to talk about,though is actually building a,compensation plan that at its core,drives the right behavior because that's,what compensation plans are supposed to,do they're supposed to drive the right,behavior at both the AE level and the,SDR level but it becomes a bit more,complex at the SDR level but it doesn't,have to be that complex and here is the,reason why so I'm gonna kind of dig into,a little bit of a write-up that I have,here it's broken up into three pieces,you know really what the compensation,plan is supposed to be about at its core,and that's the behavior and then if we,build the right compensation plan to,drive the right behaviors these are two,outcomes that are gonna potentially,happen for you right so you're gonna get,more learning and you're going to,improve and increase and promote more,teamwork but first let's talk about the,compensation plan itself okay the common,compensation plan or the least the ones,that I'm seeing still today are very,linear they're one-dimensional right so,they are paid for meetings or the page,for qualified opportunities okay that's,fine,but that's not gonna work,in fact not only is it not gonna work,it's not going to drive the right,behavior and to be frank it's kind of a,lousy job who wants to come to work,every day knowing that all they have to,do or all the responsible for or all,they're being asked to do is just,generate meetings don't talk to me Str,on PDR unless you have a meeting for me,and that's not great so we all have a,compensation plan to build for the SDR,but we also have a percentage within,their variable that we're gonna use for,for paying commissions right so for for,for compensating them on and it doesn't,have to just be on on one specific piece,or you know with meetings or sales,opportunities created it can be for a,multit

in this video I'm going to show you how,to set up the nav menu widget so I have,the nav menu right here and the first,choice that I can see is the choice of,which menu to display so I'll choose,this one and these are menus that are,created on WordPress and they are drawn,into this widget,next I can choose horizontal vertical,and drop-down I'll show you examples of,the other layouts in a little while and,I can choose to align it to any side or,spread it throughout the column so let's,align it to the right pointer this is,the mark that appears on hover and when,the item is active so this example shows,underline let's show another example,which is framed and you can play around,with the different pointers each pointer,has a set of animations this is the fade,one and you can also choose a different,one like grow let's stick to fade I also,have a submenu indicator this it's lit,the little angle icon right here and I,can choose to show a plus and any of the,other submenu and indicators next we,have the mobile drop-down setting now if,I want the mobile menu to be displayed,on tablet devices and lower,I choose tablet and this way when I,switch to tablet I see the mobile menu,however if I choose mobile devices the,lower it means the tablet will still,show the regular desktop menu and only,if I go to the mobile view then I will,see the mobile menu so let's switch back,to tablet and tablet breakpoint so now,when I open the menu it opens in the,same column but what if I want it to,show in the full width this is why I,have the full width option and when I,switch it on the menu items take,the whole screen and are on top of the,section below it if I close the menu it,is still situated in the right column,so for the menu I can choose the,alignment of the menu items either to,center or side and have the toggle,butter button either show the burger or,already display the menu items,I can also show the toggle alignment to,the left center or right next I want to,show you the styling options so I'll,switch back to desktop view and go to,the style tab I can change the menu item,style for normal hover and active state,to understand what each state means I'll,change the active state to green for the,text color and pointer color now you see,that the home button that I'm currently,on is green while the other links are,blue we can also set the typography,style and change the pointer width to,make the pointer here more wide and I,can change the horizontal padding and,this changes the width of the pointer,and to explain how it works if I reduce,this to zero and then increase the space,between the items I can see that the,pointer width it is exactly the same,width as the text I can also change the,vertical padding which affects the,distance between the pointer and the,text so if I reduce it you see that the,pointer is really close to the text next,we have the drop down menu now this menu,effects both the sub menu and the mobile,menu so to see it in action I'll switch,to tablet
