Shopify Store Hero Banner & Collection Banners Tutorial
hey everybody welcome to the next,episode of our,shopify build series we're using the,wolf of shopify theme to build this epic,shopify store that you guys are seeing,here today so what we're gonna do is,we're gonna actually add a banner to our,store now if you guys remember in one of,the first episodes maybe even the second,episode where we had a banner but the,problem is the photo,is not ideal right it simply just it's,just a photo i mean it doesn't do any,marketing for us doesn't do any,promotion it's not even related to the,products that we're selling so in this,case what we could do is we could take,the banner we could find a different,image and make it look essentially,better,and just to show you guys how it looks,sometimes you do want to preview your,work in the previewer so i'll just go,over here to view,and view it as an actual domain and you,can see here,that the image uh like i said there's no,marketing capability there's nothing,really of a benefit to it and for me i'm,the type of person that if there's no,benefit of the image it shouldn't even,be there so,first thing is i'm looking for an image,that's more horizontal than it is,vertical for a banner okay i don't want,to be stretching too long now some,people like what's called a hero banner,this case this is not a hero banner,because you can see here it ends in this,area now if we were to go with a full,size banner and we were enable,full-width right where the image would,stretch all the way from the left to the,right you could see here that that will,change how this looks so let's wait for,this to save and let's go ahead and,refresh this page and it will change how,the page looks now you can see here part,of the image is cut off we have to,scroll down and the image holds a lot of,weight so what we're going to do instead,is we're going to change in the image,here and we're going to go with,something that's a little more,i guess you could say fitting okay so,we're going to go over here to banner,and we're going to click on the grid,banner,grid builder excuse me and we're going,to click on the actual banner which is,the portion of the grid that we want to,edit and we're going to click on the,image to edit it and we're going to,select a different image this is,actually an image that i sourced here so,i'm going to hit select and i'm going to,hit save and you can see here,it's saved,the banner is much more horizontal than,it is vertical and once again this is,very important when it comes down to,uh your business your store uh for,having the right photographers knowing,what they're doing is very important so,this is the image now and you can see,here it extends full width everything is,above the fold and on top of that,it doesn't extend too far down and it,shows products,through the modeling right so it's it's,a good image that we could use when the,mouse is on the image and hovered over,it zooms in has this zoom in effect,which looks pretty good and now what we,could do is we can edit this

All everyone Christian here.,And today,,I want to share with you,the latest themes to use.,If you are a clothing store,and you want to actually,stand out,,also stick around,to the end,for my personal,favorite theme right now,,So after the OWS 2.0 release,,there have been,a lot of new themes showing up,or popping up on the Shopify,theme store.,And the theme developers,are getting better,and better,when it comes,to making them more distinct,and just adding subtle features,and things to make them,look really good,and different from each other.,Because before I would say,,like a lot of these themes,have some,some of the same elements,and some of the same things,,but I feel like now,we're starting to,see a little bit more,wide gamut,of different themes out there,,and that's what we want,to talk about today.,Some of the top five,right now that we're loving,and you should check out,if you are a clothing store,or not a clothing store.,Really,,you want to check out,some really cool,themes right now.,So the first thing that we have,is Stockholm,by code supply code.,A couple of highlights here.,It's a very clean, minimalist,,has some subtle animations,and some unique sections.,Now, I do want to show you,this real quick.,So I'm going to click,on The View Demo Store.,By the way, it's $280,and then a lot of these themes,,like I've mentioned in the past,,they have different theme styles,and all the styles they're for,really is,just to kind of show you,a different look,and feel,of the site of the theme,before you actually,install it on on your store.,But a couple of things here.,These are the,,the unique sections,that I was talking about,the section right here,which just categorizes,your collection,so that Top's sales,,new arrivals and bags,and this kind of,store animations,and it just looks really cool,and nice,really cool,to just kind of navigate,through a section like this.,And they're using it.,And this particular style,on the very top,as is kind of like the hero,probably wouldn't recommend,something like this,for the hero.,But if you want to use a section,further down on your,on your home page,,I would definitely do,something like that.,This is another,sort of animation,that I was talking about,,just like this talk on,just rotating here,on this corner.,It just it just adds,an extra flair, right, to the,to the actual store.,And like I said,,when you hover over certain,things like the products,,you get this subtle,animation with the name,and then a little zoom,right there.,So just subtle things that,make this,theme just really pop for me.,And look at this.,Like when you hover over,the categories, bags, hat tops,,you actually get a picture,in the background,that moves with your cursor.,I've seen that being done,in other websites.,I've never seen it,done here on Shopify.,So that's actually really,,really cool.,We have a review section,popular and look at this,also subtle animation.,When I'm scrolling,,you get some sort,of parallax effect,with the images,that ar

hello everyone christian here and today,i'm going to share with you the top five,things to use if you have a clothing,store in 2022. there has been a few,changes this year and i'm excited to,show you so let's get started,so the first theme that we have is,called broadcast by invisible themes and,this theme will run you 280,now a lot of the themes have increased,if you haven't watched my previous video,a lot of these themes have increased in,pricing and that's because of the os 2.0,that shopify has released which just,opens up the ability for you to add a,lot of different features and a lot of,different customizations to all of your,themes so all the five things that we're,going to be talking about today are,under the os 2.0 so they do have that,higher price point so the first one is,broadcast,broadcast has a couple of really cool,features and uh i would highly suggest,this theme if these features speak to,you and you know for sure that you're,going to use them so one of them being,built-in upsells in the product page so,if we scroll down here and we go to,let's say this product page right here,you'll see that right here within even,above the description of the product it,says it goes with and then it shows you,a different product right here with the,ability for you to just click add and it,adds it to the cart so that's very,powerful not seen,natively on any other theme that i know,of so that right there is actually super,powerful and the way that works and they,show you right here is with the upsell,tags so it's just a tagging system in,the back end where,basically we're tagging this product in,order to show this product so they're,sort of tied together if you go to that,product it will also go to the other,product so,the upsell tags and tagging right here,within the uh product page very very,very powerful um the other thing is the,unique tap content and you will see this,through,again some of the os 2.0,themes where you have now the ability to,include unique information under these,tabs right here so these three tabs,these are all,it could be right now it's not set up,that way but it could be unique,information about that particular,product and nothing else so,let's say that you have a dress and you,want to talk about what the model right,for that particular dress is before,business owners and store owners have to,display all of the models that they use,right within the tab but now you can,just showcase that one right there,within that tab it's very powerful,the other thing is if we go back to the,home page,they do have a lot of different cool,sections in here,and things that look a little bit,different than your typical theme on,shopify but one that caught my attention,was this right here which is sort of a,shop the look,based off of,some of the,same functionality that instagram uses,right so you have this picture that has,multiple products and you have these,little plus signs on top of the picture,and when you click on them the product,on the

Building A New Shopify Clothing Store Homepage With The Crave Theme
but everyone christian here and as,promised in this video we're going to,dive deeper into the crave theme is the,new os 2.0 free theme from shopify we're,going to design the entire home page and,more specifically we're going to build a,clothing store with a,this is technically a food in the drink,theme so we'll see uh we'll see what we,come up with,shopify released three new themes,recently among them is crave which is,geared more towards food and drink but,that doesn't mean that we can't use it,for something else so in this previous,video that we broke down these themes,it really stood out to me and i thought,it'd be really cool to create a fun,t-shirt company with this theme all the,colors sort of reminded me of just yeah,a very colorful,store for,t-shirts right just cool t-shirt designs,so let's dive into this video step,number one is going to be to install the,theme on our store so let's go ahead and,do that,all we have to do here is go to online,store,themes,then i'm going to scroll down and visit,the theme store,and then in here i'm actually going to,click on all themes just so you see,this is the way that you'll always be,able to see the most recent theme so if,you go to all themes and then sort by,most recent that will give you a list of,when these actually got released so here,we have dawn,love it but the one that we're going to,be doing today is crave which is the,free os 2.0 theme i'm going to click on,that i'm going to click on try theme,and then in here you're going to put,your url store so if we go back over,here,you can just copy it from,the top actually i'm going to just grab,from the dot com,all the way to here,and not have the https,just paste that in there click log in,okay so now that we're locked in we can,click on try theme,so while that's adding i want to jump,into step number two so let me tell you,a little bit more about the t-shirt,company i came up with a name for it,it's called scrape knee tees,so they sell just cool t-shirt designs,for teenagers maybe 20 somethings,and,i've actually made a logo i came up with,the,just a very generic about a couple of,reviews so i have all the information,for scrape knee tees,on a notes in my computer so we're going,to be copying and pasting some of those,things into the actual homepage and just,so you get a feel for the brand as a,whole again it's a very colorful brand,they use a lot of different colors let,me actually went to,coolers i don't know how you say that,let me paste it right here,but it's a,website that you can just create a color,palette so in here you can see the color,palette it has a,bright yellows blues turquoise or a,green,orange and kind of like a,ruby red in there so very colorful brand,and we've also determined the sections,that we want on the store so,on the home page we're gonna go over and,have a hero section with a call to,action we're gonna have a new arrivals,collection we're gonna feature the,product of the week or the t-shirt of,the week we're gonna have a

hey guys i'm greta and in this video i'm,going to be going over everything that,you want to know about shopify themes,we're going to go through some tips and,we're going to go through some of the,best themes that you can be using this,year,so these are three things that i always,consider when i'm picking a shopify,theme so the first one is your product,range is it a,multi-product store or is it more a,single hero product store just because,it's going to affect the layout uh and,the overall conversion rate of the store,depending on which you end up going with,the second thing that i consider is the,niche of my store so from a design,perspective the same store won't always,suit electronics as it would suit,fashion for example so you want to have,a look again at the layout and make sure,that that layout is applicable to your,niche and the third thing and probably,the most important is prioritizing,conversion rate and so what i mean here,is like functionality over just design,so you want a theme that is fast,responsive fairly simple,and has an easy to navigate i guess like,interface so here are three shopify,themes that i would be using this year,and number one is debut and you cannot,look past this theme even though it is,kind of the most stock standard shopify,theme that is kind of where the beauty,of this theme lies as well because so,many stores use this same theme it,outperforms almost any other theme we,always try to introduce new themes or,custom coded themes uh,and we find that from a conversion rate,perspective they just do not compare to,debut so i really would not look any,further than this theme,until you're kind of at a point where,you can do enough a b testing and,conversion rate optimization to know,that your kind of like more design,orientated theme for example is,outperforming this theme so just to,really quickly show you guys through it,let's just hit view demo store while,it's really simple and straightforward,it's really really effective customers,are very used to using this theme as a,whole in fact one of our brands claytime,that's done over a million dollars in,revenue in its first few months of sales,uses this theme and while it's a really,simplistic sort of website as a whole it,converts so well,so as you can see,pretty straightforward,very straightforward very simple theme,but effective impressive,most impressive now we're gonna move on,to our dawn theme this is a theme by,shopify again so shopify,uh has designed this theme in the same,way it's designed debut says that it's,great for clothing and accessories,health and beauty home and gardens so,kind of like multi-sku stores so while,debut might have been better for kind of,a single sku store dawn is really really,great if you've got kind of like a,really broad product range so,let's view the demo store it's a really,clean sleek design definitely looks a,lot higher end as well so if maybe you,had kind of a higher perceived value,sort of product uh like especially yeah,of cour

welcome back graduates so today i'm,gonna show you how to make the whole,image banner become one solid link and,i'm gonna show you that you can have the,option to make it a solid image link or,to have two buttons and this is on dawn,theme 4.0 and,specifically for 4.0,so if you go into your theme editor this,is what it's going to look like and then,you have a image banner as the section,underneath the,section you'll have blocks uh so shopify,only limits you to 16 blocks per section,so right over here this is going to be,your you know call to action and then,your um your text here and then buttons,so right over here when you go into the,image banner you're gonna have an image,option to upload right over here and,then you'll have the first image if,you're only using one image you can,assign that url link right over here so,when you go and preview this,before clicking on an image,or anywhere you can see where it goes to,and at the very bottom you'll see it,goes to a cold brew bottle so if you,just click on the image it'll just go to,wherever you assign that link to,but if you go back into your editor,oops,if you go back into your editor right,over here click image and then you click,on the buttons,and then you go into just the image,banner itself and remove this first,image url,it's gonna,it's gonna have their default design,right here and then the the call to,actions will be visible so when you,click on the image banner and you click,on a first image url all this will go,away and the whole image will be,the,the link the whole image will be a link,however if you go into here and you save,this,and you have the call to action and then,you have buttons and then you have them,assigned here when you go and preview,this again you'll notice that the image,if i click on anywhere in this image it,won't direct to anywhere if i click on,the button shop now it'll go to,collection slash all or discover i'll go,to my collections,so just want to show you that i know,we've been getting a couple requests on,how to make the whole carousel um one,solid link and,dawn theme 4.0 does that already and,gives you that option to do that um but,just wanted to clarify that and uh,it works sometimes and it doesn't work,you know you can do a b testing if you,if you like this kind of image if you,like this call to action button then,that's great if you want a,you know a custom image and you can put,text you can actually just go in,photoshop or or photopia do some editing,there and then add them add them to here,um that would be fine as well just know,that uh for that dawn 4.0 does not have,a mobile specific image yet but stay,tuned because we are gonna have that and,create that setting for you guys,as always thank you so much for watching,thank you

exciting news shopify has launched some,new free themes in this video we are,going to take a look at these brand new,themes together,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video,all right so the first theme is scents,i love the colors they've used here if,you jump down to the footer you can see,it better but they have this gradient,it's really nice not your typical white,slash gray theme design these colors,that you see here are completely,customizable from the back end if you,click on theme settings and click colors,you can change the colors of the,gradient to match your branding let's,take a look through starting at the top,they have the announcement bar,the hero banner is quite unique we have,this photo with rounded edges and then a,call to action to the left if you look,at it on mobile it keeps its design,integrity and you get the two,overlapping vertically,scrolling down you can see products,a mission statement,featured products,icons with information on your products,collection links,and then we get to the footer with a,great email offer,now let's take a look at some of the,product pages,so here's the skincare collection you,can see as i move my mouse over that we,have this cool effect that changes the,photo,taking a look at the individual product,page one thing i really like about this,theme is that they give all of your,photos this rounded edge and have this,blur at the back,you can see from my back end that i,didn't have to do anything all i did was,install the theme and it automatically,elevates my store and makes it look more,professional by changing the way my,photos are displayed,you can see that they have the variants,nicely displayed as text,they have the product information here,to the right,and then near the bottom they've used,the 2.0 tabs to add more information,further down they have this bar here,where you can add a testimonial or an,offer we have these icons and,information about the products and then,we get here and see this really,aesthetically pleasing block,if we look at this from the back end,these colors too are completely,customizable the last page i want to,highlight is the about us page,this is another page where we can see,how beautifully designed this theme is,we have these photos with text blocks,slightly overlapping it and again this,looks great on mobile as well they've,just had them overlapping vertically,instead horizontally overall really,beautiful theme now let's take a look at,the next theme crave,crave is really bold lots of color fun,typography and images included in this,theme starting at the top we have the,announcement bar then we have the full,with hero banner,bestsellers,collections,here we have a featured image with text,block if you want an animated image as,shown here you can upload a gif,next we have an email newsletter sign

hello and welcome my name is amuli and,you are watching TubeMate in this video,I'm going to quickly have a look at this,origin theme,which is completely free for Shopify,and,so before we install it let me quickly,View,the theme and this is by Shopify so,includes support,for quick view product quick view,stock counter Mega menu,let's open this in a new,tab also I install this theme on the,store,how,looks like so this is minimalist,and I think for,it is good,for stores there,stores that don't have lots of products,right,hmm,this is completely free Theme by Shopify,if I go to,themes and click on Origin try or try,this theme so,adding origin to your online store is,hopefully it's going to be added,and last time it was just trying to,connect,so this is,a quick view this is,yeah so this is how it looks so many so,many images right,um,full details that was already,minimalist theme and,it's good,origin then added to my Dev Studio let,me publish it,publish it and view it with,maestro,so okay,introduce your brand product with a bold,statement,I see,so it is already,taking some of the old,ah,theme settings from a previous theme so,this is why you can see few images,um,blog posts,server,menu,where's the menu,okay let's select the image,select the menu,added,saved using this is going to be we are,yeah,top left,middle left,okay,so metal center,okay,option to be already seen nothing,depends on your requirement,put it on the left,standard and very,classic style,inverse,it's better,hmm,this is okay,the font is also,the different one,now if you go to catalog let's see,if I refresh this,now it looks slightly different oh it's,not picking up,have I already saved already,let me,view it from here,okay it's still not be,changes right let me crash,oh no,here so,yeah uh,the one thing a lot of Brands would like,to keep this in the center,so if your Collection image I don't have,any,okay,collection descriptions video on the,description,and,vertical offset,perfect,there has to be some alignment settings,as well because I was working with one,of my clients and,he wanted to have it in the center,everything I said right everything so,let's see what we have in the product,information,so we have description,greatly,standard,standard description right,while in the tall theme you have,audience,Okay so,I'm going to use this,going to keep this theme on my store,active and let's see how it is,I suppose it's going to be,faster than the dawn thing also this is,a completely brand new theme,so there might be some,you know,issues unattressed issues so like this,one,it's not,I don't know,it's not,speaking of the changes in the,customization from the customization,we have here,so by default this is what you get these,are the settings colors you can,definitely change,typography,uh you have lots of,forms that you can use,where it's keep the default one and then,you have you can scale the font size for,both,body and the headings body text and,earrings knee out,vertical space horizontal space g
