all right all right,oh i didn't edit the um,live stream information because we're,not,today we are not learning,i guess we still are it's just not the,same thing as yesterday,um which is,fine but so today what we're going to do,is uh i'm going to sort of so,that i'm gonna show my sort of um,process of creating designs for,for websites historically with me i've,sort of just,like sketched out everything um,but i want this to be a little better,so what i'm gonna do is i have a design,um,like there's a site that i am basing my,final design on,um but what we're gonna do first,is sort of lay out what we're going to,to need we can just say design,but what we're gonna do,give this a black stroke and,need it so,i'm learning how to make shopify themes,or,i want to make a theme and and show off,like,what it can do eventually you know there,would be more,functional stuff that i need to learn,like how to use,shopify as an api as a back-end so i can,do custom front-end stuff,and potentially custom back-end stuff as,well for a client,and additionally um,like if i wanted to hand off something i,just want to know how shopify works,so i could just be like alright cool,here's your site,um and you know if they needed me for,maintenance stuff afterwards which could,be,like a service or package you can bundle,um the store with um i'm still attached,to it but they also have admin power,or whatever they need so,yeah but this is probably going to be,the design process of like,all of my sites that i do uh,for freelance so at least i intend on,that because i want to be able to show,off the design and potentially prototype,before,i actually do any code which i think is,a good practice that i have not done,in the past and have learned now,after um just seeing what i need to do,to make everything,move smoother in the future and i'm also,considering listening to a podcast while,this is happening,um but yeah i'm gonna go ahead and get,started by looking,up a shopify basic theme,and i'm also going to look at the theme,that i am,going to base mine off and my theme is,based off of the loon.co,and um yeah,just seeing so we're going to break down,potentially what pages are needed,and,all right so there's going to be a home,page of course okay maybe that can be a,little bit bigger,so we have a home page which usually is,going to show something featured,okay so maybe home page isn't the best,way to do we should just do it in,components,so um,on this basic theme,we have a we're gonna do,1412 uh,we're gonna do navbar um,which i think is running on all the,pages including the products,so if i go to the products page,the navbar is there,and if i just go to the root of,products,okay so their products page i think,might be a little bit broken so,never mind on that but we have,a nav bar we have a menu,um,the menu on the site that i'm copying,is overlaid and it's got a cool little,animation to morph,the um,the morph the icon the logo and two,get a hundred off at check out,okay so uh,i'm defin

so welcome to Professor ETV and today,we're joined by Adam Pearce from blend,commerce so Adam thank you very much for,taking time out to chat us today thanks,brilliant,do you mind starting off with telling us,a little bit about yourself yeah blend,commerce and essentially what we are we,are Shopify,so we tend to work with kind of brands,that are kind of on a big road objectory,looking to make sure that their,e-commerce offer is the best impossibly,big so yeah from a business point of,view and that's me married have a three,month year three month old daughter,rather so yeah she keeping me busy,outside of work as well so yeah that's a,little about me amazing isn't it I know,the story there for plenty of sleepless,nights ahead so blend commerce so what,what exactly do you do if Annie was,asking yes I mean when when people ask,us we sometimes will say that we're or a,holistic team and what that means for us,is that when we kind of start the,business we saw that the Shopify,developers that we Shopify marketers but,there wasn't really anyone could go to,that said look we can actually have a,business really Conner from business,plan stage all the way through to that,marketing piece so what we did is but,from my point to as a marketer I join,with Peter who is developer and we said,look we can offer that full through,patent see when a client comes to us and,they say look we want to really a grab,business this year it might be the one,client is then going to get maybe a,newly redesigned Shopify store with,marketing or it might be it actually,they've got a great other five store but,they're not using the data and the,information they generated that to be,able to market it effectively so when,people come to us you know we've got a,team of lots of different people,in-house and then we say right in order,to have that business grow,these are the people that are going to,work best for you so we have you know,essentially ten people that help the,business grow online and again 100%,always going to be using,as the sort of e-commerce platform a,choice and then when it comes to you,know sort of other services offer we,offer love the traditional services that,is data mapping agencies offer but one,of the things that were really strong,Don is that we do a lot with Fabio which,is an email marketing platform but it's,just a really really powerful way for,businesses to be able to sell products,online,Aamir's an accident and of course the,trend no giving people people go online,and selling the products and services,incredible it's just a every year it's,just bigger and bigger and bigger no,absolutely I think you know it's kind of,to size so I think now as well in that,when people think about starting a,business now you know I think kind of,you know probably 10 or 15 years ago you,would always think about you know kind,of having a sharp or or having an office,and now a lot of people obviously think,automatically right it's gonna be online,and I think the other side of it is

in america oh okay,because america still now seemed to be,the best option for me i don't know but,i'm just like,worried because i got like like for,that's the first time i have like over a,hundred and,two thirty add to cards like recently,and,it's been like one ten days probably i,had no sales,right now yeah yeah there was one thing,i noticed when i went to your site so,okay if you go to your site real quick,if you're if you're,comfortable with us looking at that,and then if you go to shop,okay,notice how your pricing in uh for,uh is that europe or,yeah that's euro but euros okay so yes,so see the pricing how it's like 170,euros 179 euro,200 euro now switch it to the us,and watch the pricing,yup now it's 203 dollars and 70 cents,214 dollars and 48 cents,so like for us pricing that's really,weird pricing,um because most people,in the us when they see pricing like,that they think low quality,when this is a really high quality brand,right they think it might be fake or,it might you know not be real because,the pricing is so weird,typically it's like you know it'd be,like 200,flat or it'd be you know 197 dollars,that's typically or 335 that makes sense,right but that,dot 48 cents like 48 cents 70 cents,that's really,you know that's a weird way to do,pricing in the us okay um,calculated that's high right yeah and,i'm sure you had the pricing set up this,way for,in euros because you know even there,it'd be kind of weird probably to have,like,yeah i mean i am officially from europe,you know that's why,i started doing prices in euro yes,yeah okay so i should be fixing that,probably right,yeah that would really help with your,conversion rate because it's gonna,flatten out your pricing so that way,it's,very straightforward okay,i'm gonna dig into it okay so that was,my only thing everything else looks,great your content's good,you have you know models in your images,um everything looks like quality i went,through y'all's instagram,it's good that was my only thing that i,noticed okay thank you,i automatically assumed it was in the us,purely from the pricing,yeah yeah no i got it i got you i got,you what you mean i haven't actually,thought of that so,it's nice to hear that uh absolutely,okay should we go back yes let's look at,your ad account,and so it looks like they set it up to,be initiate checkout for the most part,here,so this is what i said to be honest with,you,what they did is this rmtof,or mtof those two campaigns they did to,be honest with you,so that's the one i got two sales from,but eventually i made like another ad,set,underneath this one to look like,audience where i sold,to america for dollars,and then it all kind of stopped really i,made here,where can you see how much sales,two purchases yeah so i made you two,purchases it was like around,800 euros so when when the ad fed went,uh higher i kind of turned it off,okay because it's 920,900 euro 28. yeah i know that price is,really high can you go inside that um,campaign so we can see the audien

okay so i'm going to show you um how to,use this,um this app uh this bold product options,um app if um for selecting and doing,conditionals as well,okay so we're um,uh gonna do the following right so i,want to take you through this thing,uh you log into your uh,shopify account you go ahead and click,on your products your bold prop,product options obviously this has been,installed and working correctly now all,themes are different,so if you change the theme all that,integration has to be added again,i have a created another video on how to,install,this bold product options on several,different themes,if you'd like to see that let me know,so we first have to create the options,so,right now we have this one called,standard swatches then we have bed heads,right so we're creating bed heads,and it's going to account for all the,bed head products so if i click on edit,and i want to assign the products,and now i have milan and i have alice so,let me add some more edit selection,i'll just type in bed head,and hit search because it's not that,smart sometimes,okay so we are going to select,um arlo hold the,let's see what else we got here,i'm holding my uh apple key down command,key,if you're using an apple or control key,i believe you use if you're using a,pc uh click on harlow,bed head there's harper,bed head arch,bed head bed head,keep going bad head,if i miss a need come back in here just,adam,bad head bad,stupid computer,there we go all right so i said save,selection so now all those products that,i just selected will,have this drop down as well as,this so this drop down as well as this,drop down,as well as all the swatches that are,tied to it well if you have this bed,head,has certain pricing and then another bed,has a certain pricing then you need to,create,uh another um option in here right so,you have to go in and create options for,each one so if you had,three of the bed heads that had uh,regular pricing you could you know,pricing one pricing two pricing three,so if i know that all of the swatches,are going to be the same,for all of the bed heads in the future,right,i can leave all these in here so right,now i'll,scroll down i just added those products,what i like to do because this app,even though it's really good,connectivity issues things like that,happen and the app has to connect back,to their system and then connect into,shopify,so we save it when i start doing little,stuff like that but if i'm going to go,ahead and start adding,the rest of the items then i don't need,to do that so,here you've got select your size and if,you look at this you've got,single single bronze single gold singles,all this stuff has been,added in here it's going to click on,edit,so if i know that um,this is going to be you know a certain,fee,i can select you know create charge and,put in my charge here,i could also use an existing variant if,i click on a review variant,then i have to go and find um the,variants that are created in there,already,so this one has a 100 v

hi everyone,it's a another week how did that happen,um i can't believe it is monday again,already,and the third boss vlog,that's just crazy to think we're on the,third one already,so today's jobs i've got quite a few,little bits,that i need to do today um which i will,share,as i'm going along just looking at my,to-do list again so one of the first,things that i need to do,is design april's postcard that goes out,with every single order so,you're going to get a sneak preview of,that,once that i've actually worked out,how to record the screen now so i'm,hoping fingers crossed that i can,actually show you that as i'm doing it,and then you can see it properly,rather than me trying to show you,afterwards like i did before on the,sticker kit,so there's that then,i also after i've done that i need to,sort out the leaflets that i put in all,etsy orders,so if you order through etsy then,um i was putting in a leaflet that,explained about the website that i've,got as well,so it's actually better to order from,the website because you get,loyalty points with every single order,so then you can convert your points,into like a five pound voucher or if you,save them up,you can you can get more so i think you,can get um 10 pounds or,25 pounds i think yeah i'm sure that's,right,um so yeah the more points you save up,obviously the better it becomes and then,you can spend,um whatever voucher you've got on the,in the website so and i also got,freebies on the website as well which i,can't put on etsy they don't let you,list things that,have no um like,money value to them you know um i,suppose i could list things for a penny,but that's just silly isn't it i want to,be able to give you some free stuff so i,can do that on the website as well,so this leaflet just basically tells,everybody about the website,and that goes in with every etsy order,but it needs a bit of a tweak before i,order some more because i've run out,just in case you're thinking well i,order on etsy and i haven't had a,leaflet,um i ran out so i need to um,tweak that and then order my,april postcards and the new leaflets so,that's another job for today,what else do i need to do today um i,also,need to cut um print,first actually i need to print the kits,that i,showed you at the end of last week's,vlog,so the the new tropical kit that i,designed that you,couldn't really see properly from the,little um video i did of my screen,so i'm gonna print it out um and then,cut those as well because it's new,releases this week i can't believe,that's come around this week again,that's just it's just going so fast,so i need to do that too so you'll get,to see it actually,in person so the colors will look a lot,better than,when i showed you on the screen um i,only did that yesterday i can't believe,that was only yesterday,and then i've also got so i shared,last week i shed a like time-lapse video,but i sped it up a bit with me drawing a,girl holding a bin,for uh bin day so i haven't,designed was i supposed designed is t

okay everybody welcome back Matt Gardner,here this is the much requested,clickfunnels free plush ship funnel I've,been promising and I'm now I'm gonna,show you today how I make these things,so profitable so the very first thing,you need you know it's like anything,with e-commerce 80% of your success is,going to be because of your product so,let's just randomly go through here and,I'll give you some examples of what I,would do to find a product now it,doesn't really matter what niche you,want to do I mean I found that this,works really well for jewelry but,there's no reason at all that it,couldn't work really well for something,else let's see so I know right now a,very popular niche is skull like skull,stuff sugar skull that type of thing so,we'll just do a quick search for skull,you know nothing specific and then,search by it or sort by orders now you,see right away,like these rings right here these things,are selling pretty good you know 1,600,1,500 one thing you do have to keep in,mind though these numbers are not always,right I know one particular product in,my store,it sells crazy I mean I'm selling,thousands of this thing a week and back,here on Aliexpress you know this number,something like 300 sold or orders or,like I don't know it's way way off but I,mean this is a good way to get a decent,idea of you know where we're going with,this also you'll notice this green bar,down here that tells me processing time,that's from my Shopify tap which you,know publishes it's like a bar low but,in my opinion much better and so let's,move on here so as far as skull stuff,goes I know these things are popular,right off the bat I've seen ads pop up,in my feed with these things so this,one's got 1200 orders but you see this,processing time of 7 days I wouldn't,mess with that this tells me anything,with processing time of seven days tells,me that this person is drop shipping,from somewhere else so not only are you,gonna pay a little bit extra for that,but also it's gonna add a delay on top,of the already crazy delay that we're,gonna have in the first place and you,know the last thing we really want is a,headache from customers looking for,chargebacks refunds you know all that,stuff so let's keep going here and,here's that same ring again processing,time four days so I usually like to keep,it under five days I've shoot for three,like three right,here's good but see this isn't really,skull specific so four will work so this,is 2.69 sense and it's four dollars and,sixty eight cents with EEP acket so we,can go ahead and open this one up,because that's not bad I mean honestly,what I'm usually looking for to in a,free plush ship is something right,around three dollars so for example,right this thing right here a dollar,sixty almost a thousand dollars it's,probably a little more than that it is,pushing it at five days but you know it,doesn't really matter right and so,you've got a couple of color options,here you've got Siller silver gold all,kinds of stuff white s

all right guys I'm going to explain to,you something that you may have noticed,appearing on your pixel data using pixel,tool helper back sort of in may/june so,this was a new rule out that Facebook,did and what I'm referring to is the,microdata in fact there was two big,things there was an automatic event,called subscribed button click that,started to appear and what this was,tracking was people clicking specific,buttons on your page and then what you,may also be seeing is microdata,so before it was just doing page view,now it's got this new field if you don't,have this yet it's coming really soon to,your account now what I'm going to talk,to you today about is this one called,microdata so in a nutshell what this is,now allowing Facebook to do is send a,lot more information back to Facebook in,terms of what people are doing on the,website for example how long it takes,them to perform specific actions what,specifically they're looking at what,what they're doing on that website and,also what your website is actually about,so all right guys all right guys what,I'm going to talk to you about today is,something that you may have started to,notice in your pixel information back in,May June so this was a new roll out that,Facebook did what I'm talking about is,this little thing here called microdata,so again I'm using the Facebook pixel,helper to view this information and,you'll see here we've got what we call,microdata,so before we just had page view and then,back in sort of May all of a sudden we,saw a new event called subscribed button,click which was tracking people clicking,on buttons on the website and also,microdata if you don't have that yet,showing up it probably isn't far behind,for you so here's a brief overview of,what this is and how,set this up for your website so,essentially what this does is it sends,more information back to Facebook it,sends more data both in terms of what,users are searching for what,specifically their interests are what's,happening and the way that it does that,is it tells Facebook more about what,your specific landing pages are about so,what kind of product is it about what,kind of event is it about what's going,on on this page so I'll give you an,example of this for example let's say,you have someone that is searching for,barbecues on a particular website and,that information is going back to,Facebook it's telling Facebook hey this,page is about barbecues it's about,outdoor cooking so this person is,engaging with this sort of topic or,product or category if you will well,Facebook now knows this and what it can,do with that information is it can allow,other advertisers to properly optimize,their campaigns so for example if you're,an advertiser selling barbecue faith and,you're using barbecues or targeting that,is going after the specific type of,audience Facebook can now use that,microdata information to get you better,results for your campaigns kind of,trippy right kind of insane this is kind,of getting into the Goo
