in today's video we are going to,transform your shopify product pages,from this,to this,no coding required no app purchases,anyone can do this,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video all,right so i'm using shopify's free theme,sense and by default here's how the,product page looks,it's not bad but i feel like it's,missing a lot of elements such as trust,badges a star rating and customer,reviews,all right first things first we are,going to create a few meta fields if you,look at vessi's website these little,things here are what we're going to be,creating it's a way to organize and,store product information without,putting it all in your product,description box,so things like materials care,instructions ingredients and etc vesis,has put their product description in,these little tabs as well i have mixed,feelings on that but for this tutorial,we are going to do the same,from your shopify dashboard click,settings,meta fields,products,and click add definition,the first one we're going to create is,materials so type in materials,then click select content type and click,text,shopify made an update on april 6 where,you can now add medified lists so,previously if you had a list of,ingredients for example you would type,them like this,but with the update you can now type,your list like this,to activate that new feature all you,have to do is click this right here,except list of values,click save and we are going to create,our next one,click add definition again,start typing care,and then care guide should pop up here,click that,then click save,last one click add definition,type description,click select content type,select text,select multi-column text,and save,if you're new to meta fields and want to,see some more examples of what you can,do with them check out this video here,all right now let's go to our product,listing,and if you scroll all the way down to,the bottom of the page you will see the,new meta fields here,i'm going to go ahead and copy and paste,what i currently have in the description,box to both organize my information and,save space,the last one here is materials and you,can see the list feature in action all,you need to do is click add item to add,more lines or you can click the minus,here to delete any you don't need,all right let's save our work and then,we're going to add it into our product,page,you'll see here if i view my product all,the information i entered is nowhere to,be seen these tabs here are included by,default the sense theme but as you can,see they are empty,so click customize on your theme,click on this drop-down menu here,click products,default product,as i mentioned these tabs here are,included with the sense theme already,but if you're using a different theme,and don't have these under your product,information click add block,and click collapsi

How to Add a Sticky Header to Any Shopify 2.0 Theme

in today's video i'm going to show you,how to achieve a sticky header on any,shopify 2.0 theme there is no,complicated coding involved anyone can,do this before we get into the video if,you like videos about winning products,drop shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video you'll,notice that on all shopify 2.0 themes,that there is an option to turn on,sticky header however the sticky header,is only activated when you are scrolling,upwards on the page not down and what we,want is a header that stays in place no,matter which way we are scrolling i'm,going to demonstrate this on one of,shopify's newest themes taste and by the,way if you haven't seen taste yet i did,a video on it which you can watch here,but although i'm testing it for taste,this works on any 2.0 theme i've tested,them all but if you do end up running,into any issues and need some help you,can visit our website and fill out a,store tweaks request and we can help you,out so first duplicate your theme so,that you have a backup,to do this click the drop down under,actions,and click duplicate,once your theme has been duplicated,click customize,header,and you want to make sure that enable,sticky header is selected,click save,now exit,under your duplicated theme click,actions,edit code,again not to worry there's no,complicated coding involved so stick,with me,click on sections,now find header dot liquid,now scroll down until you get to line,591,then you should see this section of code,now the piece of code we are trying to,find contains the text shopify dash,section header dot hidden,you will notice that this text is,written under hide reveal and reset,ignore reveal and reset the only part we,are concerned about is this section of,code under hide,now highlight all the same text that you,see here,and delete it,this is what you should be left with,now click save,now let's take a look so click on online,store,click actions,and preview,now you can see that as i scroll through,the sticky header stays in place,if you like this video and want to see,more content like this you can let me,know by giving this video a thumbs up or,leave me a comment down below and if you,haven't already make sure to subscribe,we post a lot of time-sensitive content,such as winning products and updates,that affect you so turning on,notifications for this channel will let,you know as soon as we upload

let's be honest your store design,matters and if you have a really ugly,site people are just going to leave and,they're not going to purchase from you,so in this video i'm going to show you,exactly how to customize,your shopify store design,as soon as someone comes to your site,they only have about seven,seconds before they decide if they want,to look longer on your site or,leave so those seven seconds really,matter and design,matters when it comes to that you want,to make sure that your site is,eye-catching,and it really speaks to your ideal,customer so,how do you do this you really need to,pick out your shopify,theme and make sure that it works based,on what kind of,imagery you have if you have a lot of,really great big images,then pick a theme that's going to,highlight those but if you don't have a,lot of great product shots,then you want to make sure that you pick,a theme that's not going to be heavily,reliant on that,once you've chosen your shopify theme,then it's time to,customize it and this is where it's,important to create different assets,choose your fonts and colors,to make sure that it's appealing for,your ideal customer,so this is super important but a lot of,times people kind of overlook the design,step so i'm going to show you really,quickly how to,actually customize your design in the,back end of shopify for both your home,page,collection page and product page so to,get here you're going to click on,online store and then you'll see themes,there from the list,so now that we are on the themes page,you can see your live theme here,this is what your customers are actually,seeing whenever they come to your site,as well as your online store speed we've,done another video on how to speed up,your site so i will,link that in the description below and,in the info cards above as well,and you can also see the theme library,so you can,upload your theme if you've purchased it,somewhere else or you can explore the,different,theme options available so for example,if you click on,explore free themes you'll actually see,a pop-up of all of the different free,themes that are available here,the one problem with this is if you,click into it you can't really see,how the site overall looks as well as,how it looks on mobile you can just kind,of see the different styling aspects,so what i do recommend that you do is,actually visit the theme,store so if we just click on this here,you can see,the full theme store and this is both,free,and paid themes so what i like to do,whenever i'm trying to decide on a theme,for a shopify store,is i'll actually go to all themes up,here at the top,and then you can see the sidebar here of,sorting options so you can actually sort,through,and you can see you know based on you,just want to see,themes that are just for single products,so if you click on that,then it shows you just that product or,specifications on the right hand side so,you can better narrow down what kind of,theme that it is that you are looking,for,so if we u

hi guys this is rich from we are,underground in this video we're going to,show you how to filter your collection,pages using tags the filtering will help,your customers to refine exactly what,they are looking for you can set the,criteria in this exactly in this demo we,are showing color and sizes examples the,first thing you need to do before we,make any edits to the thing is to add,tags to the products in your store to do,this simply open any product and then,consider the criteria in this instance,we want to use size so we're going to,add some size tags at each one make sure,you add it in the case that you want it,to be displayed on your website so an,uppercase first letter or lowercase,depending on your needs once you've,added some click Save simply start,adding more two more products as you saw,in this one and the rest that we're,going to be adding we will also add some,colors to them so for the product that,is available only in whites then we,would add whites the same would apply,for blue red green black or any,preferred color you want to use this is,purely to allow you to use more than one,filter at a time it's completely,optional and you can add anything you'd,like to add,once you've added a few tags to your,products you can always select them,later on by clicking the old tags this,will bring up a small window that shows,all tags that have been added so far to,your products just clicking on them all,add that to each product,you,you can also bulk edits by on the all,products page selecting all the checkbox,provided or the checkbox next to certain,products click on edit products from,here clicking on any of those you can,add edit or delete tags from any of the,products easily in a bulk view once,you're happy that you've added all of,the tags that you need for your products,go to the themes page and click,customize this is going to load your,theme customization preview window from,here you would need to open a collection,page within your store to get at the,properties that are available for it on,the left after that's loaded you'll see,the collection section open that's if,you click on the add content button this,will give the option to add a filter and,this is what we need to complete we want,to use filter by color for this demo so,I'm adding that as a title which changes,it within the sidebar and then I'm going,to add the color filters that we have,just added to do those products note,it's very important here that you use,exactly the same case as you have used,on the products so an upper case first,letter and you need to have an upper,case the first letter here also likewise,with lower case or any other combination,that you are preferring to use we've,added a second filter here showing,filter by size as well what you will,notice once you've added that trying to,click on those within the theme,customizer doesn't really do much at all,this is because you need to make a save,fast because it's going to change the,wave at that page loads so save

Shopify multiple Variant Images

hi this is Jung from let's build Shopify,and today I have another hands-on,tutorial for you where we will improve a,product page so that it would only,display in the product images that,belong to the selected variant so if,you've seen my video on implementing,these color swatches you may already,recognize the product page and if you,haven't seen that you may find that,right here but now you can see that I,went ahead and actually added some,lifestyle photos of me wearing the,t-shirt in different colors and now you,can see that all the thumbnails would,show up at once but actually the,preferred way would be that they get,filtered based on the selected color and,that's exactly what we're working on,today so let's get started all right so,first of all I went to the product,editor and you can see here I have all,the product images and down below we can,see all the different product variants,and each of these variants has one,featured image assigned to them so for,all the red variants I have the red,t-shirt for all the blue ones the blue,and so on and so forth but I also have,one variant it's at the bottom it's the,black one where I don't have a featured,image and we will also implement some,fallback logic for this case but we will,get to that later and now that we have a,featured image for every variant IATA,needed to find a way to group all the,product images of a single color and one,way of doing this was giving them the,exact same alt text so you can see that,all the red images would have the,alternative text red and all the blue,ones would have the alternative text,blue and basically this could have been,anything so it could have been awesome,red t-shirt or something but it needs to,be 100% the same or every image of a,single color alright so now that we've,completed the basic set up we still need,to find a way to select these thumbnail,elements in order to filter them at all,and therefore we need to find them in,our theme files so I jump over to the,Shopify theme file editor and the good,place to start is the product dot liquid,and as we start to read satisfy it we,can quickly note that the actual content,lies within a section that is called,product - template so I move over to the,section folder and open this file that's,called Parekh - template and somewhere,in here we should find our thumbnail,elements but right now I don't have any,clue how they are called or how they are,made up so I think it's a good idea to,jump to the front end and investigate a,little bit more so we can find some,insights back on the front end I would,now pick one of these thumbnails and go,to inspect this should bring up the,chrome developer tools and highlighted,we have the image tag that contains the,actual image and it's wrapped into an a,tag to make the whole thing clickable,and this a tag is wrapped into a list,item,so all these thumbnails are basically an,unordered list of thumbnail items if,this confuses you you might want to,watch my video on HTML this will make

Revealing the New Shopify Metafields (with easy usage on Theme 2.0)

hey everybody this is rory from astroweb,and i'm excited to showcase you a new,feature that just came out that i've,been waiting for for a long,long long time which is meta fields so,what is meta fields first of all so,meta fields is a way for you to add,additional information,on top of your most important things on,your site your products your orders,your customers etc now metal fields is,not a new thing but the way you,manage it is new you don't need external,apps developers to do,a lot of the things that you can that,you need to do and now you can do them,much easier with a shortcut so let me,explain a few things first of all so,first thing i'm going to do is go to the,back end and manage a product,as as of before uh this when it came out,so right so before 2021,uh what you would do is when you,uploaded a product you have a product,name,your description your images and that's,it and anything else you wanted to add,to this,you could not do in in shopify you'd,have to install an,app called meta fields usually they're,kind of clunky they had all these,different things,maybe you need a developer to help you,but now,uh if you scroll down to the bottom,you'll notice there's a new section here,on,the sites that support the new shopify,which is using meta fields these are,basically,additional attributes just like this is,an attribute this is a field this is a,field,these are additional fields you can go,you can plug them in,easily via the back end and you can,actually,use code and apps to pull that,information and display them on the,front end,so for example what i did is i have,for this for every single product i have,my length my height and my width and if,i put it in,if i go to a product page i can easily,support this,and show this on the front end before in,order to do that what you'd have to do,is you'd actually have to go and upload,your product then go to an,app edit that product input your width,length a height etc,and then have a developer do something,so now what i did,is all you have to do is go to settings,and now you have a new section here,called meta fields,you can create your meta fields and,they're supported for products,variants right variants of products uh,and in the future collections,customers and orders there's going to be,so many cool things you can do,out of the box without having apps and,other things so let me show you an,example what i can do,and again this youtube channel is here,to help you guys if you have any,questions,let me know we can do more advanced,things as well so let's do it so,what i'm going to do here i'm going to,go to products and for example i made,all of these types i made these new,product,meta fields if i want to add a new one i,can add a new definition,and let's say i want to call mine just,for example these are some built-in ones,by the way so for example upcs are very,popular,for products isbns are for books these,are some built-in ones,but you can make your own so let's just,say i want to have,somet
