How to Buy a Shopify Theme (EASY!)

hey it's jose here and today i'm going,to show you how to buy,a theme for your shopify store okay,so i'm in my demo store this is my demo,shopify store,and all you need to do is log into your,own shopify store and here in the,dashboard,you'll notice on the left hand side,navigation a,section called online store all you do,is you click on that,and you'll see all these subsections,load,and you'll notice that the first section,is themes so,we're actually on the themes page which,is exactly where we want to be,so all you do on this page is you scroll,down,until you see the shopify theme store,section,and here you just click on the button,that says visit,theme store this is the easiest way to,do this because,this way you're already logged into your,store,which means that when you buy a theme,it's already connected,otherwise if you visit this page,directly and then you buy a theme you,then have to log,in and basically let shopify know who,you are and what your store is,so shopify knows where to add that theme,okay so this is the page where you'll,see all the themes,there are a lot of themes actually and,because design is always,an important part of any website or blog,or online store,it's worth you spending some time here,going through all these themes,okay so i'm just going to click on this,one for example,so let's say that you find one that you,like all you do,is you click on the theme,and this is a really cool feature,you can preview the theme on your store,to see exactly what it would look like,now a lot of the themes come with,various styles which is again,very very cool you can click on these,icons and,see the different styles and you can see,how,the styles are actually really really,good,i particularly like this one the text,style yeah i actually really like that,so you can click on the preview in your,store,and this is definitely something that i,recommend doing and that's going to load,a page here,which is going to be essentially your,store but with that theme,installed okay so it's now ready for,preview so i'm going to click on this,and that should now load my store,with that theme so obviously the theme,hasn't been customized in any way,but this is the theme itself this is the,template and obviously i would add,my own images to all these sections,and i'd be good to go with a really,nice looking design okay so once,you preview the theme on your store and,you think this is great,you can click on buy theme there's a,button here on the bottom,right of your screen i'm not actually,sure whether you can see this,on this video but it's at the very,bottom and there's also a button that,says customize,theme so you can even customize,the preview theme and add all the tweaks,that you would add anyway,once you bought the theme just to see,what it looks like,but if you're good with the theme and,you like the way it looks and you know,of course that you're gonna have to,spend,just a little bit of time customizing it,then,you can just buy the theme when you

My Favorite New Shopify Theme For T-Shirt & Apparel Stores

Shopify has released even more brand new,free themes for your Shopify store that,you can use right now today I want to,look specifically at one of them that I,think is really great for online apparel,stores that's coming up,what's up everybody let's Dive Right In,Shopify is released Shopify online store,2.0 that's been out for a while and with,that they released some new themes and,they've actually added more themes,recently to the free themed section in,the Shopify theme store and these are,the free themes that they have available,you see Don which comes pre-loaded on,every Shopify store we have refresh,craft sense ride taste Studio crave and,then color block now they initially came,out with a few of these and they just,recently added more and so today I,specifically want to talk to you about,this color block theme now to start this,off if you are out there maybe you're a,beginner and you're thinking do I need a,paid theme my answer would be probably,not in most cases you don't need a paid,theme to get started and the Shopify,free themes are actually really really,good uh even for building your business,up to you know very high Revenue amount,you can use these free themes that's,what I've done I've always used a free,Shopify theme on my stores I've always,had really good luck and I haven't run,into a lot of issues now if you're,needing something super custom you're,needing something that has certain,features you might want to go with a,paid theme but I think most everybody's,starting out building your first store,wanting to get your first few sales you,should start with a free theme and,they're going to be more than enough,more than what's needed even on these,free themes so today I want to take a,look at this color block theme I've,talked a lot about Dawn and what it,offers and why it's pretty good for,apparel stores but recently since,they've released this color block theme,I've been starting to use color block,more and more and I think I like it a,little bit better than Dawn for apparel,stores let's start off by just looking,at some of the features so this is color,Block in the theme store again this is,completely free and it says a striking,theme ideal for high-end fashion here's,what's funny about that I feel like this,color block theme feels kind of like the,old school Shopify themes to me it feels,simpler than the dawn theme and I think,that's why I like it more and so when,they say it's ideal for high-end fashion,it actually doesn't feel as high-end,fashiony as the dawn theme to me some of,the features you see here quick menu,Mega menu sticky header and then we can,see all the features down as we scroll,down and what I like about the Shopify,theme store they've made some updates in,here they've actually added a lot more,information right here on the front it,was very actually very minimal they,weren't telling you a lot about the,theme but they've added some more,specifics here so you see this this,theme is great for editorial content,lon

Top 5 Shopify Themes for Clothing Stores

what's up christian here and today i'm,going to share with you the top five,themes to use,if you are a clothing store and i'm,going to show you at the end of this,video how to get the theme,use it customize it for free before even,purchasing anything,let's get started,all right so always as always just want,to preface these uh,theme suggestions these are just our,opinions and some of the things that,we've used within shopify,and again we try to stick with themes,that shopify provides,in their store they usually tend to have,the best support,and the best organization and structure,um,we try to stay away from the,themeforest.com which is i mean it could,be nothing wrong with them,but we just haven't had the best,experience with those type of things so,starting at number one,is warehouse now warehouse is designed,to be,uh for large catalogs of products so if,your store or clothing store that has a,lot of different products,maybe you have shirts dresses pants hats,jewelry a little bit of everything then,warehouse is going to be really good for,you so i'm going to jump in here and,kind of show you,how the back end or not back in just an,example,right of a preview of the of one of the,theme styles for warehouse,so this one has um again a lot,an emphasis right on the large catalog,so as you can see,one of the main things here is a search,bar right where you can actually,uh highlight different categories and,search within those categories so,um besides the search and the nice,navigation,and then log in the account the card,over here then,on this home page we also have a good,breakdown of different categories right,so these different categories again,could be from beanies and accessories,to running and shoes to actually phone,cases,so a large wide variety of products i,love that,i really really like on this one in,particular um,what they call the uh the different,color,options for the for the products so it,shows you right there,from within the the product collection,where this shoe in particular,could be different products different,colors i'm sorry not different different,colors,it shows you the reviews and actually,has the option to show you,how many units are in stock so again,talking about a large inventory,of products it might be good to showcase,you know how many you have,in stock i also like the option that you,know it shows you add to cart if it's,just one,one variant or if it has different,colors maybe different sizes and things,like that,then the button changes to say choose,options so when you click on choose,options,it actually takes you to the product,page,where you have just more information,about the product,i love this zoom feature you can see,this on,amazon so again this theme reminds me,very much so of of amazon and again a,large inventory theme,then this one also has integrated,customer reviews so you don't have to,add any additional app,to get customer reviews on the theme,nice some of the other things that i'm,going to talk to you ab

Tutorial: How to Embed Videos on Shopify Pages, Products, and Themes

hi everybody my name is john and in this video we're going to learn how to embed ,different types of videos onto your shopify store so the first thing we're going to do is if we're ,using a small video and a very short video we're going to use the file manager within shopify ,to embed that file on one of your pages or on your actual home page itself or in one of your ,products so if you have that video you're going to go into settings and then files and then click on ,the upload files button and select the video file from your computer i've already uploaded my file ,and it's located right here so the next thing i'm going to do is copy the url,and then i'm going to go into my online store so let's go and add ,this file onto the home page of my theme so in order to do that click on customize,and then click on add section custom html,and then select,now if you click on this custom html button you'll see the html that already exists on ,the page right here i'm going to delete all this html and then i'm going to use the following code ,to embed on the page i'm going to copy and paste this code within the video description ,and include a link to it within the description itself so don't worry about pausing this video ,and rewriting everything there's going to be a link in the video description to copy this code ,i'm going to take the url from my file manager that i copied earlier i'm going ,to paste it within this section that says your video link here so i'm just going to paste that ,url and then i'm going to copy all of the code here and then paste it within the html section,and now you'll see that i have my really nice video on the home page with some controls at ,the bottom to adjust the volume start and stop the video and make it full screen so this looks pretty ,nice how do we add this on a product let's exit this page and then go into our products i already ,have a product made but you can also click on the add product button to start from scratch,so what i've done in this product page is i've embedded ,html but you can also embed the html code that you copied earlier,and then save this so that it's visible on your product page itself if we preview this page ,we'll be able to see that video playing right here on your product ,this works really well with small videos and videos that are below a certain file size ,watch what happens when i try to upload a video that's too big into my file manager for shopify,so you'll notice that the file that i tried to upload is too large so if you run into this ,situation you're not going to be able to use the method that we just went through and using that ,special code we'll have to find a workaround with youtube so what we can do in this situation is ,that if we have a video that is larger than 20 megabytes or is longer than four minutes ,either one of those we can upload the video to youtube which is completely free and then we ,can go and embed that

yeah hey everybody this is ian and today,we're going to look at Shopify themes,what our Shopify themes this is,something that is asked fairly often by,folks who are just getting started and,here we are at the themes dot Shopify,dot-com URL so you can see that in the,description below this video you can,click over to that and this essentially,gives you a whole suite of different,Shopify themes - bit from so if you are,building your own first site or you're,doing a free trial or something along,those lines just testing Shopify you may,be very well suited with a free theme,there are lots of them and they look,pretty good actually I mean lots of the,free Shopify themes look like premium,themes if you were to compare them on,some other platforms the really nice,thing though about the Shopify theme,store is it gives you not only some,examples of the themes in use so you can,actually see for an example you know,some of the different use cases what,kind of store you may want to launch,with a given theme let's look for an,example at let's see right so boundless,is free this is a really nice looking,theme this one here masonry is a hundred,eighty bucks so let's look at what comes,with this you get four different this,tripathi has four different versions or,they call them style so you can see,they're all basically in the same,structure but there's a different CSS,aesthetic that is applied to each one so,you can actually preview each one of,these in your stores so if you have a,demo or trial Shopify installation you,can actually see what each one of these,will look like with your content in your,store if you have a live store that's,not that's beyond,the trial phase and you are ready to,scale up and really want to apply some,professional-grade aesthetics or you,know visual you know the visuals of your,site are ready for an upgrade absolutely,it's a great time to do that as well you,can test any one of these premium themes,to see how it looks on your store in,real time in a live environment and this,is not something that your audience yet,needs to see you can demo all this,behind the scenes so the other thing I,really love about the Shopify theme,store is it gives you reviews down here,and live examples of this being used on,real stores so you can look at here is,an example of this particular theme,which I believe is the masonry theme,being used on a real site this is a la,sa w.com,Allah saw this I don't know what they do,I'm assuming they have some sort of,furniture related products so you can,see this will looks great and you know,you can obviously see the you know how,close that is to you know the theme,itself I'm trying to think of which one,that was probably this one here so the,coyote version of masonry all right you,can also look at the trending themes so,here you know most of the trending ones,are free,obviously as most folks don't have a,hundred and eighty bucks to spend on,their first store or their next door or,whatever this is really I haven't see

Shopify Store Template Theme Set Up with Asana

hey this is Kellis landrum from true,north social we are a digital marketing,agency based in Los Angeles and we are,also Shopify experts we work on quite a,few stores with different clients and I,am going to talk to you a little bit,today about our process for creating new,stores from templates now process is,very important to us and in fact when we,talked to potential new clients people,call us up all the time they say hey I,want to start a store I need some help,with it what can you do for me and you,know they're generally talking to a lot,of different people that might be able,to help them out with doing this why,should they work with us well a big part,of the reason that clients like working,with us is because we can we can help,them set up a store from a template very,quickly mostly because we have a really,great very well-established process for,doing this now that's not to say you,can't shot set up Shopify yourself there,are really great instructions and,tutorials for doing this on their,website but we set up several stores,month at minimum so we really have this,down we have a pretty good team of,people that do this and we are very,organized in the way that we go about,doing it so I'm going to walk you,through our organizational process so,our organizational process for setting,up Shopify starts in our project,management tool which is called asana,right asana allows you to create all,sorts of different tasks for different,things and we have created a default,template set up project for setting up,Shopify templates so whenever we need to,set up a new store we take this template,we click on it and say I'm sorry we,click on this,create a new project right I don't,actually need to create a new project,because this is just our example but it,will duplicate this and then whatever,your store name is we'll change it to,your store name and we'll have a new,project set up right and inside of this,template setup project we have lots of,different tasks involved in your store,setup now there's three main sets of,tasks or three main phases to setting up,a Shopify store the first is client,onboarding or pre-production as we like,to call it in-house,the second is setting up the store admin,and the last is our pre-launch checklist,now these are distinct phases we try and,separate them they generally fit into,one and then the other and then the last,before we're ready to set up the store,so let's let's roll through a few of,these I'm not gonna get into too much,depth about any one of them but this,should give you a pretty good idea of,what is involved in setting up a Shopify,store so the first phase I mentioned,client onboarding we do a kickoff call,right we talked to you about we have a,required info dock we talked to you,about what the needs are for your,template is if you know you want to set,up a store with the template you're not,sure which one we'll go through and a,little bit of detail with you what what,kind of products do you have what do you,want

How To Choose The Correct Theme On Shopify

Hey what's going on my name is Christian from BitBranding and today we're gonna,tackle how to choose the correct theme for your Shopify store let's do this,so on my Shopify dashboard I'm gonna go ahead and click on online store right,here under themes I'm gonna go ahead and click on visit the theme store and right,here on the theme store you'll see that they have collections and they'll,they'll show you some of the trending that are just trending themes that are,themes that are trending this week you will see different categories that they,have created as far as a big beautiful imagery Grid-style layout etc but this,doesn't really tell you that much maybe under industries maybe your,company or your store falls under one of these industries and that helps you a,little bit better but I'm gonna go ahead and click on all themes because I do,think that maybe every industry has the opportunity to necessarily be boxed,within what they share as far as industry so right here this is what's,gonna be very powerful for you I would definitely spend some money on some of,the the paid themes but I'm not saying that you have to have a paid theme in,order to have something that looks great there's a few of the free themes that,will probably do the job that you're looking for but when it comes to picking,the right or the correct theme for your store these are the things that I would,definitely look into the number of products on your store is something very,important so single product small catalogs medium large I would highly pay,attention to this setting right here as far as the amount of products that you,have when it comes to layout style it doesn't really matters of more of a,personal preference then here's where it gets a little bit more interesting,because you will see more of the features that each of these themes have,so each theme are they're created by different,companies so they all include different things as far as features within those,themes so if it's important for you that the for example product page has image,zoom then you want to make sure that you hit that check mark right there you want,to make sure that your home page actually has a slideshow that you want,to click on that and the reason why I say that these features are very,important is because once you install this theme and you start customizing,that theme and then down the road you realize ah I really wanted something,that had a size chart but you didn't click on the little check mark for the,size chart so your theme the people who created that theme might not have added,that feature into them so it's gonna be a lot harder you're gonna have to hire a,developer to include certain features that you want it that you didn't have,before so I would definitely pay close attention to these features and make,sure that you know exactly what you want feature wise on your theme because,otherwise down the road is gonna be a lot harder to add now I'm gonna show you,a little trick a lot of people act
