all right guys so in this video i'm,going to be showing you how you can go,ahead and,customize your debut theme within,shopify so debut theme,is the theme that all shopify stores,start out with,by default when you go ahead and start a,shopify store and if you haven't already,opened your shopify store yet you can,start your 14 day free trial by clicking,the first link in the description,so i figured i'd make this video because,debut theme,is one of the most commonly used themes,because it's the one that all stores,start out with and the view theme,actually looks,really good so right here we can see,that this is what debut theme looks like,when it's first installed with,absolutely nothing filled out,so we can see that we have where our,logo should be,we have a big header right here with,some text we have an image here,we have three images with text below,here we have,a uh empty collection and we have,another,um header type image right here another,wallpaper image,we have some testimonials and we have,three images down here,and then we have the footer so,right now we have a nice little template,but it's blank,so if you're looking to go ahead and,fill out,your um store using debut theme,the first thing you're going to want to,make sure you have is,a few key things so i'm going to bring,up a notepad and just make sure,because before you go ahead and start,the design process you're going to need,a couple things so the first one is,going to be a logo,so i assume you already have a logo at,this point if you're ready to start your,store design but if not,then make sure you get a logo first,because everything else is going to be,based around the logo,and then we're going to have a color,scheme selected,and normally this color scheme is going,to,be derived from colors from your logo,and typically,you're going to use one to two colors,to base your entire store around and,like i said these colors will be derived,from the logo and the next thing we're,going to need,is a couple wallpaper photos,so we can see we're going to need some,photos to go ahead and put back here in,this header,we need some photos to put back here and,this header as well,so if you have any large photos related,to your business,go ahead and upload them to your,computer or,put them all in one folder so we can go,ahead and,use them as backgrounds here and if you,don't you can use,different sites such as pixabay,to find free stock images that you can,go ahead and use,so let's just type in something like,fishing,so if you had a store related to fishing,you could go ahead and just,look for different stock photos here,or maybe you have something related to,yoga,or fitness you can type in a lot,of different niches depending on what,your store is based around,and you can use some of these wallpapers,to go ahead and put back here,now obviously i do think it's better if,you have your own,custom photos but uh you know not,everyone's gonna have that starting out,so if you don't you can go ahead and us

hello everyone and welcome back to,another pentitude video,i am so excited it's been quite a long,time and this video is going to be a,little different because i'm actually,going to be showing you,how to add landing pages,to your shopify debut theme website,as some of you may know i've decided to,take the plunge,into shopify it's got a great e-commerce,platform,love the services so far but one of the,things,that was kind of left wanting was,the shortfalls when using the debut,theme when it comes to,using sections in your landing pages,so for example when you first go on,and go to customize your website,you're welcomed with this beautiful home,page it has a bunch of,different sections about 17 section,options,that you can add and,in addition to that you know you can,click into it,it's very easy you select your image you,add your content,adjust the size you can drag and drop,the sections to wherever you would like,them delete them,add more whatever you like so you start,out,really happy and it's super easy very,simple,it's great then you go,to add a,page so for example i've got a,shipping policy page and,you know all you're really left with,when you add your page is the title and,the content and it's like,going back in time to those early 2000s,when people had wiki blogs,and you would do a little bit of html,and feel,super proud of yourself but the world is,not like that today especially,when you are a small business and you,are trying to visually attract,all of your customers and keep them on,your site for as long as possible,so having this very simple layout,uh it doesn't really work and you'll go,on to uh the customized page,after you've added your,your specific landing page and you'll,notice on the left hand side,all of those customizable features and,ability to add sections,drag and drop them is not there,so you're left wondering what what do i,do,how do i organize my page and make it,look,nice for both mobile users and computer,users because that's something,really important that we need to,consider nowadays is that most,shoppers are actually on their phone so,does it look nice on a phone and a,computer uh,not usually if you're just using the,standard,wiki content information,so today i'm going to be showing you,how i was able to go from,something like this which is relatively,simple,um to something like my calligraphy,services page,and you'll notice on the left hand side,i've been able to add,the same sections that were available on,the home page,and edit the information to look,something like this it looks very nice,very well laid out,it'll automatically adapt to mobile and,computer views because,i'm using the pre-existing section code,and overall it took a little time,to dig around and figure out exactly,what i was doing,but now that i know what the process is,and,what i'm doing it's it's fairly simple,there's not too much code involved,there's a lot of copying and pasting,and that's about it so i'm gonna walk,you through how to create you

video and today we are learning about ,shopify product page customization and in this
tutorial we will be adding a custom field in our ,shopify product page so for example if you want to
take input from your customer on the product page ,if you're selling a t-shirt or if you are
selling a label type product where you want ,name printed so you can ask your customer
uh in your product page about that input ,okay before we proceed to tutorial don't forget
to subscribe the channel so i can create more ,videos for you guys okay now i'm already locked
in the back end of the shopify and when you go to ,the back end you will need to find product file
in your liquid files in this case we are using ,we are doing that in debuting you can do it on
all of the themes so i'm gonna go to edit code,and then i will find product
file product good liquid file ,that's the main file which all of the theme
shopify should have and when i click on that,i can see the product liquid file is pulling
two sections one is the product template and ,one is the product recommendations
uh as i already have uh applied ,the code before creating this video i'm just
gonna go to the product template that's the ,file where we will need to add the code in order
to create the custom field for our product page,now once launched once the
file is open we will find,and form so ideally we are looking
for the form in our product file ,let me see where it's starting from ,okay so here's the form and form and that form is
ending here so these so this all liquid code is ,responsible to display all of the information
which is displayed here price size and all of ,the information which is showing up here what
we will do we will add a chord before and form ,and uh i have already created the port
before so i'm just gonna copy the cord,required plus visible on checkout ,i'm just going to copy the code and
hit paste and let's save the field,now when i refresh the product page,as you can see the field is showing up here,i can add name for so for example if you want
your t-shirt to have a custom name printed on it ,you can add this and it seems like i have
to add the quantity in the product page ,let's do that as well because that's
displaying that product has been sold,out,there we go we are seeing add to cart button and ,when i add custom name on this
field and click on add to cart ,here you can see the custom field on your
cart page and when you go to the checkout ,page continue shopping here's the card
page and when i go to the checkout page,custom field is also visible on the checkout
page so if you are the shop owner and ,you are looking for that custom field you can
easily find that on your product details page ,on your order section on the backend so if
someone orders a custom printed t-shirt you ,will see the custom printed name whatever

hey shopify users in this tutorial i am,going to show you how you can,add more sections to your themes product,page if you are using any of the older,themes like debut theme,so what i mean by older themes is,beginning of 2021 shopify,introduced online store 2.0,and with that they introduced some,changes a new set of themes,and,debut theme is one of the older theme so,with these changes,you get,more benefits in terms of customization,these themes are also much faster,so and and in future there's going to be,more and more benefits from these themes,and even with the current changes,there's a lot more to it so,um i will leave a link,for this,article and you can read more about it,and in this video,let's get on with,adding more sections to the product page,and,to show you,the difference i have here,dawn theme,and then i have here debut theme,and you can see i am on the product page,debut theme doesn't have much here,if i go to,dawn theme you can see,a lot more going on here plus you can,all add a lot of sections here,that,were not available in the older games so,how do we achieve this so,shopify has,made it possible that,you you don't have to upgrade everything,you can one by one update the page,templates so how you do that is if we go,into the code for each team right now,i'm here in the dawn theme,you can see within templates you see dot,json files up here,and then if i go to the old debut theme,the same thing in templates you're,seeing dot liquid extension so this is,the major difference what needs to be,done is we need to,change this product dot liquid template,here to,a product dot json template just like in,this dom theme right here,so let's get into it,so first thing you would want to do is,create a backup of the theme that you,are going to be,working on so i am going to be updating,the debut theme that is not my active,theme right now so what i'm going to do,is just,duplicate this theme,duplicate,and then i can just rename it to,something that,i can remember,debut,product page,chain,upgrade,so,now i can work on this theme here to,make the changes,and,so we go in here,and go to edit code,so once you are in the code for this,copied,theme,what you can do is go to,the,product dot liquid template,in templates folder,and,right where you see the section product,template and product recommendations,down below from this div,just copy all the way down,till the end,and then go to,sections folder,and look for this product template,and it should be around this one product,template,and then in here,look for,the schema,uh you can search for schema quickly or,just scroll down around here this is,where the schema starts and then you,have this,and unless so around,right before the schema starts just,paste that code,that you just copied,click save,and now go back to,where the dot liquid template is and,click on that and then we are going to,delete this file,so make sure you have selected the right,file product that liquid selected click,delete file up here,and

hello everyone in this video i am going,to show you that how you can add custom,html section into your shopify store so,this video is specific for the people,who installed debut theme for other,themes i will also upload the video but,you have to subscribe the channel so,that you get the notification for other,videos too so let me show you first of,all the benefit of this custom html,section so i have another store which is,uh,for the brooklyn theme so they have,already given some custom html section,so you can see on the left hand side we,have custom html so down below actually,i was interested to add a video which,should auto play and now that should be,added according to me so this is,possible only if you have the option to,add your own code so on the right hand,side you can see that actually when you,will click on custom html this section,on the right hand side you will get an,option of adding your code so i have,added the video tag and because of which,this video is appearing over here and,this is repeating over and over again,and this is too beautiful as well so i,will be showing you same thing on the,debut theme that how is it possible over,there so you can see that if you will,click on add section then you will no,more able to see any section of custom,html because,in this theme that section is not,available so let me tell you how we can,make it happen so first of all you,should go to your dashboard of the,shopify store so currently you can see,that we have debut theme,then after you should click on actions,click on edit code,and then after you will be getting some,folders and files so you should click on,sections,then you should click on add a new,section here you should add,custom,dash html,then click on create section,so this section is created now you,should scroll it down and down below you,will be getting getting a file of reach,dash text dot liquid click over it,copy this whole bunch of code from here,and then paste everything over here but,before that you should remove this code,and then paste it here,now the third step is,that you should,uh change the name of this so here you,can see that there are multiple,languages so if you are specific for,any language then you can modify,accordingly but i am also going for the,english language here we have rich text,so i am going to change it to,custom,html so same thing i am going to copy,from here and i will scroll it down,and down below,there will be another option of adding,it,so here you can see that this is preset,so here also we have en english,and instead of rich text i am going to,add custom html these are the two,changes and the third change is,that you should change the type of this,specific,section so here we have the type which,is rich text,keep in mind that this is rich text so,i'm going to add here,text area,text area all right so spelling is t e x,t a r e a then you are done now you,should save these changes,and let's refresh this page again,so once you refresh this page then
