hey everybody Tania's shooting star SVG,back in today I am going to talk about,how to install themes in your Shopify,store that are not directly from Shopify,so this is strictly regarding the theme,forest themes from,envato I'm gonna include a link in this,video that will direct you to the,Shopify themes and templates and here,you can see this is the Waukee theme,this is what I currently use on my,website and there is a lot of different,themes here that are useful for what,you're trying to do on your Shopify,stores so just take a quick look of,those I will be doing a video slash a,blogpost shortly now that I'm back up,and running after being on night shift,in this crazy pandemic we have going on,on some of the better themes for Shopify,based off of what you're trying to do so,anyways what you're gonna want to do is,you're gonna find the theme that you,want right and you're just going to go,ahead and purchase it hmm after you,purchase your theme what will happen is,is that theme force will send you a,confirmation email okay and you can see,I purchased this the beginning of this,year you'll be able to open up your,account and go to my downloads and when,you go to your account back page you,will download the files now here you can,get all the files and documentation,including your license certificate in,your purchase code this is important,because when you go to load your new,theme into Shopify you're gonna have to,enter this information and okay so you,want to make sure that you have that,okay so when you download all of your,files and documentation is going to be,in a zip format so you're gonna have to,extract that right so this is what it,will look like it will have any updates,the user manual and your installation,zip file and it was important that this,stays as is it now if you're unfamiliar,with how to zip in onto,files I do have a video on my youtube,channel for that you can just go ahead,and search for it and I'll walk you,through how to do that right so once you,get everything into a folder then you,will see these zip files here and just,make sure you either keep that folder,open or you know where you're navigating,to because that will be important for,the next step when you go to your,dashboard on Shopify basically this is,what you'll see when you log in you're,gonna want to click on online store and,you're going to click on themes now you,can see here that I already have this,installed it's pretty straightforward,process okay you're gonna do this like,you would do any other theme you're just,gonna click on upload theme and choose,your file I think you can also drag it,over so we'll go ahead and try to do,that um since I do have it open so you,can actually note that did not work so,you can go to choose file I know mine,went into here and then you click on,your zip file and click open now what,that's gonna do is it'll show the dots,if you click on upload file and it's,gonna start working hopefully this does,not override anything for me beca

Shopify Store Review: Feedback for a Luxury Jewelry Store

jeff here from ecom geeks is store,review wednesday so let's get started,today we're going to be taking a look at,gbgh,now this is actually a a really cool uh,store,a really cool website it's more like,artisan jewelry like all of these are,kind of created uniquely so this is,really cool,now uh let's get a handle on what's good,and what's banned,first up your fonts are way too tiny,like i already have this cranked up to,like 125 percent,and like it's very very difficult to,actually read what's going on here,so i would highly recommend especially,like you know you've got your titles,there as well,uh you know they're just it's just so,hard to see,um i love the general look of the the,story you know,the white and black you're keeping it,super simple super straightforward,just make the the font those fonts a,little bit bigger and then,people can more easily appreciate your,website,another thing on your home page is that,you have this huge section here,with uh you know slideshow the different,images and whatnot,it takes a lot of the page i mean if i,if this window were smaller it would,take up less but it's still it's very,large,i would say break these up into,individual images,and have like you know three or four of,them you know stationary there that that,show off,you know the best of what you got which,you know these are great images here so,make sure you have them kind of,along the top i'd highly recommend that,it's less scrolling for people on,desktop,and uh can help speed things up taking a,look at your footer here there's a,couple things that i noticed first off,there's the powered by shopify that's,super easy to get rid of we,we have a video on our channel here that,you can take a look at to get rid of,that,um i'm noticing that there's a lot of,space here and i'm guessing it's mostly,because of your currency switcher,oftentimes these little widgets that get,put in here kind of mess up the,the layering uh i recommend you know,splitting you know this quick menu into,two maybe,so maybe like quick links and you know,about,and split it up in that regard and you,know just try and close that space,you might have to to get somebody to,take a look at the coding to see if,that's you know the currency switcher is,the one that's taking up so much space,but you can definitely split these into,two and at least get some rid of some of,this space here,it seems like you have most of your,major links covered however there are a,couple things that you can add there,one is about us and you already have a,page for that you know as i can see,at the the top of your store here uh you,know you can meet the designer,i think that you should have a link to,that in the quick bar here,one of the the amazing things are very,unique things about your particular,company is that it's artisan these are,all kind of,you know designed for the the person oh,also side note there make sure you have,a space between your uh your image there,and the start of your,your text also regarding

hey guys in this video i'm going to,review one of your stores so let's just,dive into it okay so we will start with,the mobile site,so the first thing that we see is,that it doesn't really show that much of,january,and the banners really don't tell you,so much because,shop for what you deserve,it doesn't really tell you anything,i would personally outplace here some,kind of collection,that that is currently discounted,so they can click it and see what's,there,and yeah scrolling down,you can see this top part,and this is really important part,because you want to show your potential,customers that you offer are free,shipping so if you offer a free shipping,then it should be on the top it should,be,sticked to it,it should stick to it,because,it really helps them to just remember,okay i have a free shipping,but one thing that i would do here,is change the free shipping,to canada us and uk,to a free shipping above orders like 100,or 50 bucks or 75 bucks,so people can spend more with your shop,because of because they want to get a,free shipping,what else,why,uh this section why uh your shop,why your brand i think that nobody knows,you right now or,uh at least very very few people,so what i would do here,i would just show the most frequently,about items so people can just click and,go through it if that's something that,they are really interested in so they,can click it,add to cart and buy,so right now they have to scroll down,there is a good collection list i like,that part,if i,were interested in one of these things,then i would click it,definitely,when scrolling to the bottom,it looks fine,just everything is discounted so,i don't know what's what are the real,prices,i wouldn't discount everything,i would discount some things but not,everything,yeah it it looks fine,it looks fine,some kind of customers,okay looks,there are definitely not real people,so it may a,bit,make your,site look scammy,so i wouldn't show the faces if they are,not real,email list okay that's fine,menu,policies,social media yeah it seems legit it,seems legit so,there is a high chance that people,can trust your shop,and the one thing that is missing here,is the pop-up i know that you are,working on it so the pop-up is necessary,with some kind of discount or free items,or something so we can grab some emails,and run remarketing later on,so let's just check,first,section,men's javelin,okay,that looks,looks good,like let's sort it out to best selling,okay that looks good,the photos are okay,and here is one thing that,i don't really like,so you see that i can,get gold or silver chain,for the same price,on the same page,so,it definitely looks kind of scammy,because obviously gold chains are priced,a bit higher,they are more expensive,so,i would definitely change the price,the same with the length the more gold,you have on your chain the more,expensive it is so it definitely makes,sense to increase the prices accordingly,to the length of the item,and,i wouldn't show,the same item in gold
