welcome back to the channel guys if you,are new to this series and you have been,following along from the start make sure,you click that top link in the,description to sign up for a shopify,free 14-day free trial you don't even,need a credit card which is great and,you can build right up to this point,with us now if you are new make sure you,check out the playlist as well because,this is going to be a full playlist,start to finish from creating the free,trial with my link exactly how you guys,would see it all the way to the point,where we are now which is going to be,continuing to build it so i noticed i,didn't do this before because i was just,starting from the top down in building,as i said i do in every video but i,figure some of you guys might have some,questions as far as changing the theme,settings and how to change these,different fonts and colors and stuff,like that so we're gonna go ahead and,just show you how to do that in this,video and hopefully it helps it should,be a short quick three or so minute,video that will help you guys in that,aspect so in the bottom left-hand corner,of your screen you can just go ahead and,click theme settings and then this is,where you're gonna notice you have,pretty much everything that you need so,you'll have your colors your typography,your favicon your cart social media,price format checkout and theme style so,if we start with the top you have your,colors you can go ahead and change these,this is where copy and pasting those,little color codes from photoshop and,stuff that i've showed you in previous,videos this can be good to kind of go in,and create a perfect website so in my,case i actually want to change this,first color because you'll notice it's a,little bit lighter of a color and i,think i just want to run with the same,color that's on the background of the,header so to do that you just copy and,paste it in and it'll change you'll see,here now they look like that,i like how that looks a little bit,better so for example that's how you,would do that and you can go ahead and,scroll through and change the different,colors of different things you might,want to change we'll probably circle,around back to this in the future when,we start working with our checkout pages,and our actual product pages themselves,and then you get your typography this is,where you can change your fonts i'm,actually a huge fan of maserat's,bold font and just a fan of this font,family in general so i'm just going to,keep that because i think it's very,simple and professional and it works,really well for this type of thing,this is where you can select to,capitalize titles and menu items and,stuff like that uh if you do not want,these all capital then you can go ahead,and change that here this is where your,favicon is going to be i'll go into that,in a future video and then all your,other different things here but we're,mainly just focusing on the colors and,the typography in this video so this is,where you're going to go ahead
all right guys so in this video i'm,going to be showing you how you can go,ahead and,customize your debut theme within,shopify so debut theme,is the theme that all shopify stores,start out with,by default when you go ahead and start a,shopify store and if you haven't already,opened your shopify store yet you can,start your 14 day free trial by clicking,the first link in the description,so i figured i'd make this video because,debut theme,is one of the most commonly used themes,because it's the one that all stores,start out with and the view theme,actually looks,really good so right here we can see,that this is what debut theme looks like,when it's first installed with,absolutely nothing filled out,so we can see that we have where our,logo should be,we have a big header right here with,some text we have an image here,we have three images with text below,here we have,a uh empty collection and we have,another,um header type image right here another,wallpaper image,we have some testimonials and we have,three images down here,and then we have the footer so,right now we have a nice little template,but it's blank,so if you're looking to go ahead and,fill out,your um store using debut theme,the first thing you're going to want to,make sure you have is,a few key things so i'm going to bring,up a notepad and just make sure,because before you go ahead and start,the design process you're going to need,a couple things so the first one is,going to be a logo,so i assume you already have a logo at,this point if you're ready to start your,store design but if not,then make sure you get a logo first,because everything else is going to be,based around the logo,and then we're going to have a color,scheme selected,and normally this color scheme is going,to,be derived from colors from your logo,and typically,you're going to use one to two colors,to base your entire store around and,like i said these colors will be derived,from the logo and the next thing we're,going to need,is a couple wallpaper photos,so we can see we're going to need some,photos to go ahead and put back here in,this header,we need some photos to put back here and,this header as well,so if you have any large photos related,to your business,go ahead and upload them to your,computer or,put them all in one folder so we can go,ahead and,use them as backgrounds here and if you,don't you can use,different sites such as pixabay,to find free stock images that you can,go ahead and use,so let's just type in something like,fishing,so if you had a store related to fishing,you could go ahead and just,look for different stock photos here,or maybe you have something related to,yoga,or fitness you can type in a lot,of different niches depending on what,your store is based around,and you can use some of these wallpapers,to go ahead and put back here,now obviously i do think it's better if,you have your own,custom photos but uh you know not,everyone's gonna have that starting out,so if you don't you can go ahead and us

Bilal Nasir and I'll be teaching you guys ,how to add swatches on the Shopify product
page today so you'll be adding a small piece ,of code in order to add Shopify swatches
on your product page so let's jump into it,so guys after learning from this tutorial
you will be able to make your product page ,look like this where you'll have color swatches,and color will be changing when you will click
on these color swatches so let's jump into the ,code and let me show you how you guys can do it
guys this is our Shopify dashboard and the first ,step is to add the product with variations
so I'm going to add the t-shirt product,t-shirt let's price it 10 and add
in the main media file from here,and now I'll select the needed option
where it will show the variations ,so from options checkmark this product has options
like size or color click here and then add in ,color and then values of the color in our
case we'll have black white and red so we ,added the main image as a red one so I'll make
it the first one now click on done and hit save,and now our product has been added now switch
it to active product click on save again,and now we'll go to our settings page to
add in the meta field click on settings,scroll down to meta fields,Click here and then click on
variants and from variance ,add a definition by clicking
add definition name it color,and in namespace add in color dot values now from
select content type select on color and hit save,now go back to our product page again,so this is our product page click on
that and from each variant click on edit,now in this red color variant, I'll select a
picture which is red color click on the done ,scroll down to meta fields where
we'll add we will select the color red,and there we go now hit on save,now repeat the process with a black color variant,select in the image first,so i'm going to upload the black color image now,select the image hit done ,and now scroll down to the bottom where it says
meta fields and in color select the black color,hit on save,and I'll repeat the process with white color,again add in the image for white color,Click on the done scroll down to the bottom
and from meta fields add in the white color,hit save now finally step is to edit the court of
our liquid file to display the color swatches so ,at the moment our product page looks like this
so that's how it looks like by adding the core ,we'll be able to see swatches which will replace
these buttons now let's go to the online store,and click on x's actions and added chord before
editing the chord make sure to duplicate the theme ,so if you're working on a live theme you
don't want to be mess up your theme right so ,take the backup of it before editing
the chord okay now click on edit code ,and search for main dash product liquid file,and here's the file,and now in this file, we will search for discord
and we will replace this code with this court okay

in today's video we are going to,transform your shopify product pages,from this,to this,no coding required no app purchases,anyone can do this,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video all,right so i'm using shopify's free theme,sense and by default here's how the,product page looks,it's not bad but i feel like it's,missing a lot of elements such as trust,badges a star rating and customer,reviews,all right first things first we are,going to create a few meta fields if you,look at vessi's website these little,things here are what we're going to be,creating it's a way to organize and,store product information without,putting it all in your product,description box,so things like materials care,instructions ingredients and etc vesis,has put their product description in,these little tabs as well i have mixed,feelings on that but for this tutorial,we are going to do the same,from your shopify dashboard click,settings,meta fields,products,and click add definition,the first one we're going to create is,materials so type in materials,then click select content type and click,text,shopify made an update on april 6 where,you can now add medified lists so,previously if you had a list of,ingredients for example you would type,them like this,but with the update you can now type,your list like this,to activate that new feature all you,have to do is click this right here,except list of values,click save and we are going to create,our next one,click add definition again,start typing care,and then care guide should pop up here,click that,then click save,last one click add definition,type description,click select content type,select text,select multi-column text,and save,if you're new to meta fields and want to,see some more examples of what you can,do with them check out this video here,all right now let's go to our product,listing,and if you scroll all the way down to,the bottom of the page you will see the,new meta fields here,i'm going to go ahead and copy and paste,what i currently have in the description,box to both organize my information and,save space,the last one here is materials and you,can see the list feature in action all,you need to do is click add item to add,more lines or you can click the minus,here to delete any you don't need,all right let's save our work and then,we're going to add it into our product,page,you'll see here if i view my product all,the information i entered is nowhere to,be seen these tabs here are included by,default the sense theme but as you can,see they are empty,so click customize on your theme,click on this drop-down menu here,click products,default product,as i mentioned these tabs here are,included with the sense theme already,but if you're using a different theme,and don't have these under your product,information click add block,and click collapsi

looking to add or change a section's,background color on your shopify store,adding an image or color to the,background will provide uniqueness to,your shopify store,log into your shopify dashboard then,click the online store menu from the,left side,select the green color to customize the,button from the current theme,by default it will be on the home page,and on the left side the sections are,arranged select the theme settings,available in the bottom left corner of,the customizer,once you click it the theme settings are,opened on the right sidebar,click appearance from the theme settings,scroll down to reach the base color,options,under these base colors you can,customize the colors,on the fourth you will find a body,background which is a color to customize,your page,background for example on my website it,is in white color and i'm changing it,you can customize your color and the,changes are visibly alive to figure out,the changes,select the suitable color for your page,background that is applied over all the,sections and save it,another thing here is that on the theme,settings you can only change the whole,page background color that applies to,all the sections,if you need to change the individual,section background color then follow the,other step,click the sections you want to change,the background color from the left side,once you click the section its,customization options will open on the,right side,for example i'm selecting the blog,section and its options are opened on,the right side,you can see the background image option,on the right sidebar which allows you to,add an image to the section background,make sure you have selected the enable,background image option,you can select the images from your,library or pick them from the free image,library,i'm just selecting an image for example,select the images you want and they will,be replaced on your background,after selecting it then scroll down to,the background color option and ensure,you have enabled it then select the,background color and customize it,the background color is applied over the,image,you can also provide the background,overlay transparency from below the,color change option that is kept from,0.01 to 1.,if you don't need an image you can avoid,adding the background image from the,previous step,or else just scroll up and remove the,background image of that section,you can also customize the background,color after removing the background,image and save it,then i'm moving to the specification,block to change the background color of,that section,again the same method by clicking the,section and customizing the background,color from the right side options area,click save from the top right corner,this is the simple method to add,background color and images to the,sections on the shopify store,the number one single product shopify,theme featured in envato tuts plus,with more than 3,300 downloads the boom shopify theme is,trusted by customers worldwide for its,easy customization and

All everyone Christian here.,Did you know,color swatches can increase conversion,on your product page?,It just makes it visually easier,for customers,to scan your product page,in this video.,And want to teach you how to add these.,On the Dawn theme,,Dawn is an awesome new Shopify theme.,We've already done,a few videos on this,,so if you haven't checked out,our other videos on the darn thing,,you can do so right here.,Now, something that's missing from this,theme is the ability,to have color swatches,in the actual product page.,Jordan Digital has come up with a way,not only to add these,,but add images for patterns.,So shoutout to Jordan Digital,for this guide,that we're going to follow today.,So let me just show,you real quick here.,We have a product that we worked,on our last down video,,which is the High-waisted,airlift leggings.,And as you can see here,,we have the size bubbles.,So small, medium, large.,And then we have the color ones,,black, white and bronze.,And as you can see there, just like,the same default,selectors, right as the size ones.,So you can see black, white,,but you can't actually see the color.,You see it by text, essentially.,So the first thing that,we're going to do,is change a little bit of,the code in the back end.,So there are two things,that we're going to change.,And the main product, that liquid file,and then the base dot CSV file,So let's go into that right now.,We want to go to our theme here,,click on actions and then edit code,and then we're going,to find the main product that liquid.,So I just type an oops,main product at liquid,,which is this one right here,And then what we want to do,is search for this piece of text,right here.,So what I did is,I think I just typed an option,,that position,and I was able to find it,pretty quickly.,So I'm going to click on Command,Control F,so we can search for text,and type that in.,And then here we have it.,So it goes from label to label.,And we're going to delete that,and actually add some new code.,So we're going to replace it,with this right here.,So when you copy this,and then,just pasted and save,and then the next one,that we want to do is go to the base.,That's a CC base.,And then in this one,,all we're going to do,,we're not going to delete anything.,We're just going to add,more code to the bottom of this doc.,So when you copy all this,and we're going to scroll,all the way to the bottom,paste and then click Save.,Now, before we move,on, I just want to say,we have many of those.,My name is Christian Pinion,,one of the co-founders here at Bat,Branding, or an E!,Commerce Growth Agency.,That specializes in helping,clothing stores grow and scale,profitably online.,We drop new videos every week,,so make sure that you hit the subscribe,button and turn on notifications.,Okay.,So next step after adding,the custom code,is to create the Medfield.,So let's go into our settings,to create those right now.,So we're going to go to things,,and then you scroll out to the bottom,and you'l
