if you've recently purchased a shopify,theme from somewhere other than shopify,you likely received a zip file with your,purchase,in order to use your new shopify theme,you'll need to upload that zip file into,your shopify admin,so to do that head on over to online,store in the left-hand navigation,and by default you will be taken to the,themes page,as you can see here we're currently,using the debut theme,and this is a free shopify theme that,you can get through shopify,and if you scroll down the page just a,little down to the theme library area,you'll see that you have a few options,you can explore free themes which is,basically going through all of the free,themes that shopify has to offer,you can also visit the theme store where,you can browse through,free and paid shopify themes,and of course shopify isn't the only,place where you can buy shopify themes,i will certainly leave a few links in,the description below where you can find,other premium shopify themes,and as much as free themes are great you,know because they're free,they can be somewhat limited when it,comes to features and options,and that kind of thing a premium shopify,theme is going to give you more options,when it comes to things like features,designs and just,its overall capabilities as far as an,e-commerce theme goes,so let's say you've gone ahead and,purchased a theme and you've got that,zip file,head on over to the upload theme button,and then browse through your file,folders and upload that zip file,once you see the zip file go ahead and,click on upload file,and now your zip file has been uploaded,however that's not the last step you,need to now publish the theme so that it,shows up on your estore,to do that hover over and click on,actions,you can preview this new theme or you,can just publish it right away so let's,go ahead and preview just to see what it,looks like,and here we can see the new theme in,action,but let's head back to the shopify admin,and now that we see what it looks like,and we're happy with it we'll go ahead,and publish,and it will ask are you sure you want to,publish this new theme it will replace,your current theme,so let's go ahead and publish,and there you can see the new warehouse,theme has been installed,and published so if we head on back to,our store,and refresh the page we now see the new,theme,has been installed and it's ready to go,you

shopify for jewelry stores hey guys,welcome back to the channel in this,video i'm gonna be showing you how you,can use shopify as your ecommerce,partner when you are creating your,online jewelry store and how shopify can,be a good fit for you or not so let's,get into it now first off you're just,going to go on to,shopify.com and you're going to click on,start free trial over here and you can,use have a 14 day free trial of shopify,and you don't have to worry about your,store name you can change all of that,later on so once you have started with,your free trial this is going to be your,basic dashboard once you have created,your account so on your left you have,your entire navigation then on your top,right you have your account settings you,can manage your account and you can,create,multiple stores from a singular account,as well so shopify has a bunch of great,features but i'm just going to show you,the features that i personally really,like and i'm going to go over the entire,platform as a whole for you to create,your own jewelry store or your own,accessory store and i was creating a,scrunchie business last year and i found,some of these features to be so so,helpful and generally keeping data and,managing my inventory so first off you,need to go on to the product section and,if you already have a csv file you can,just click on import over here,and you will be adding all of your,existing products if you don't have a,file like that you can just click on add,product over here and then you're just,gonna add the title of the product that,you want so we're creating a jewelry,store so i'm just gonna do a few jewelry,items and then you have your description,so it could be,0.5 mm,square cut whatever detail you might,want to add about the product like so,and make sure your descriptions are,actually accurate because these are the,descriptions that are going to appear on,your actual website so make sure you're,writing your descriptions accordingly,now after that what i'm going to do is,i'm going to change this from a draft to,a active product,and after that you're gonna add your,media file so you can just click on add,files over here and you can upload your,file uh directly onto the shopify,platform below that you have your,pricing so this is something that i,really found helpful when i was selling,scrunchies is that whatever price i,added i could also add my cost per item,and this would really help me manage my,profit so,let's say we're going for 35 dollars for,this product,and then you can add a cost per item so,let's say if these earrings cost me,around twenty dollars to source so i,have a forty two point nine percent,profit margin and i'm getting fifteen,dollars of profit every time i sell one,pair of earrings and this is something,that i find to be pretty useful,especially if you're selling small items,like jewelry and accessories and,scrunchies and all that it's a lot more,effective and efficient to have your,cost per items calculated directly on,shopi

shopify for musicians hey guys welcome,back to the channel today we're going to,go over shopify and how you can use,shopify as a musician and if it is the,right ecommerce choice for you so let's,get into it now if you want to start off,with shopify make sure to click that,link in the description box down below,to get started with shopify today so,first off i'm just going to go on to my,account and you can see over here that i,have a basic trial subscription on,shopify and as a musician there is a lot,you can do with shopify so first off not,only can you book your gigs um determine,your overall concert timings gigs and,all that you can also,sell individual gigs so you can set out,times that you,are performing on and you can set out,different price rates for your,performances so as a musician i find,this to be very helpful because i have,been providing some other services that,are similar to music and using shopify,is a lot easier to,manage all of that stuff in one place so,for that what you're going to do is,first up on shopify on your left you're,going to find your homepage orders,products and all that and what you're,going to do is you're going to go into,the product section over here,and once you have gone into your product,section you're going to click on add,product and you might be wondering i'm a,musician i don't have any products well,your products are actually going to be,like a,one hour birthday gig birthday,performance,and then you can add a description of,what songs you perform on birthday,performances you can add a short clip of,your performance or picture of your,performance and you're gonna add the,price so maybe i'm charging our forty,dollars for early birthday performance,and then what i can do is i'm just gonna,scroll down and i'm gonna make sure to,change this to not a physical product,and then once i have done that i'm also,going to remove the track quantity,section and on your right side you can,find that you have your product types,and all that you can usually leave this,empty it's not really that important to,fill that out but then you're just going,to click on save over here,and now you have added your first,service so as a musician this is one of,your basic services now after that,you're going to add your second service,so if i go into the product section now,i have this singular,service i'm going to click on add,product over here and then i'm going to,add another service so let's say i do a,uh,30 minute nightclub gig,and then i'm just going to add any,description that i want for it and then,i would add my price for that which,would also be,fifty dollars maybe and then i am just,going to scroll down i'm going to remove,the track quantity and shipping section,and now i'm just gonna click on save,over here and now i have added this gig,as well now once you have created your,gigs or the services that you're,providing as a musician now you can,provide any other service that you have,that's totally up to you,after you have adde

shopify for artists hey guys welcome,back to the channel in this video i'm,going to be showing you how you can use,shopify as an artist to sell your art in,both digital and physical medium so,let's get into it now you're just going,to click on start free trial over here,on shopify.com and make sure to use the,link in the description box down below,to get started with shopify and over,here you're just going to enter your,email password and your store name and,don't worry about the store name you can,change this later on now after you have,done that this is going to be your basic,dashboard on your shopify profile so on,your left you're going to find that you,have your navigation bar and on your,right you have your account settings and,your different stores so you can create,more than one store on a singular,account now if you're an artist you are,probably selling print media you're,probably selling digital media you're,probably selling canvases and you're,selling a bunch of different products,and there is a specific feature that i,find so helpful in shopify to sell,different medium content or different,medium art in the product section so for,that i'm actually gonna first off show,you guys that feature because i've,personally used it and i find it to be,so much more easy to manage all of my,products if i'm selling digital ones or,if i'm selling physical ones so what,that is is that i like to just click on,add product over here and i'm just going,with the example of my own art because i,sell both canvases and i also sell print,media and i also sell some digital,prints as well or digital stickers as,well so i just like to go on ad title so,it could be,cat frame and let's say i have cat frame,in both like a physical and digital,version,so first off i'm going to add the,description so this might be the digital,version of my cat frame so it could be a,whatever the pixel dimensions might be,so i would usually add those in the,description,and then i would obviously upload the,media image of my actual product and,then i'm going to select the product,status into active and this is the thing,once i am deciding the price so the,price for a digital print might be four,dollars and then i'm going to scroll,down,and then i'm not going to track quantity,then i can just select that this is not,a physical product and this is something,i find so helpful because you can do,this for individual products so then i,can create a separate product called,another cat frame and then i could make,it a physical product and add shipping,details as well so i'm just going to,click on save over here,and now my digital product has been,saved so i'm just going to go on to my,all products section now,and you can see this is a non-inventory,product because obviously this is an,online product now i can just click on,add product over here,i can click on cat frame,physical then i can add the,size of my frame so it could be a 12 by,12 inch,and then i'm going to obviously add the,image you'r

hey guys thanks for tuning in,got my face covered there um i'm kristen,mark i'm the owner and founder of a,multi-award-winning shopify growth,agency called kristen mark digital,established back in 2010 and today i'm,going to discuss with you,what i believe is the best shopify theme,in the world for seo not only shopify,but shopify os 2.0 theme so i'm going to,give you a bit of background first if,you'd like to jump onto google with me,and type in,seo,issues shopify,shopify technically has five fundamental,flaws when it comes to seo,so basically if um if you google that,you'll see my article number one they're,there about all over the world in,english-speaking languages and english,speaking search engines and the five,fundamental flaws with shopify,are basically um you can't access the,robot text file although very until very,recently you can actually now access it,and edit it although my advice if you,don't know what you're doing,um it would be to leave that alone so um,typically you couldn't access the robot,text file and you've got a dictator to,hierarchical structure so you can't,build the perfect hierarchical structure,for a website the way you would,do it to perfection in terms of passing,on link equity distribution like a,champagne fountain a wedding every site,site in the world should be like a,champagne fountain um at a wedding,you've got your homepage your collection,pages your sub collection pages and then,your product pages with shopify you,don't have that third row of glasses you,only have the home page,the collection pages and product pages,so so that's basically it so you can,read a bit more about it here the third,uh most common issues are,mass duplications of root collection,pages with product filter apps so,shopify typically dynamically produces,filter pages and you can't access,those filter pages to go in and optimize,them unless you're using our shopify aap,product filters and um,ultimately what that does is um the vast,majority 99 of the good product filter,apps out there,block filter pages from the search,engines because house is the only filter,tech in the world which can actually,optimize the six key fundamental,elements but again that's for another,video,another issue is you can't probably,uh which order have i got it in yeah um,third-party apps every time you add a,piece of code or an app or a piece of,javascript to your website it typically,slows it down,our page our themes typically load well,the fastest at the minute is 580,milliseconds,and we've put everything into a theme,that we know,that you guys need to get up and running,to upgrade,to improve your performance in the,search engine so third-party app,installations every time you add an app,it has,mass implications of your technical,alignment with google's,quality guidelines non-ranking factors,etc etc and um in relation to i think i,missed one i think there's another one,here in terms of images image,optimization yeah you can't typically,optimize the image to perfe
