Shopify Theme Review: Focal by Maestrooo [2022]

hey it's klaus here i haven't done a,theme review for shopify for a while and,as there are more and more,os 2.0 online shopping 2.0,themes are coming out i thought i will,do one for you this time so let's dive,right into it,so the theme that i'm looking at this,time is the focal theme by maestro some,of you might know that the warehouse,theme of maestro is one of my favorite,themes in the shopify universe,and so i thought this new theme that,they brought out,might be a good catch to see what they,have done so let's dive in here into the,demo store first and then we go into the,back end,the demo store itself you see here's,coming in three different styles if i'm,not completely wrong it's actually it's,four different styles so basically you,can choose from different color schemes,on the demo or on the theme itself,you see it has a pop-up integrated here,directly not the best way to work with,pop-ups here obviously but depending on,how you integrate your theme you might,get rid of this anyway and might,integrate a pop-up coming from for,instance clavio or any other kind of app,now let's be on the homepage here and,see what we have here so obviously we,have a hello bar notification bar right,up here interesting here they have a,slider in there see this one is actually,quite nicely done saves a lot of space,you can put in some more information,than just one line i think that's that's,very easily done so if you have um for,instance one more than one promotion,there or you want to mix it up with free,shipping notifications something like,that you can do this here so i like that,a lot,i like that the header is very narrow,one thing that i always recommend when i,do store reviews um website audits is,having a very narrow header so you want,to bring the main content high into the,browser window above the fold so that,people do not need to scroll down to see,the main content so that's nicely done,then we have here the navigation in this,color scheme actually quite nice high,contrast white text on black background,so easy to read easy on the eyes so,that's also very well done,simply also,enough space here to put enough menu,items in here my screen resolution is,1920 1080 so you see that might even,work with smaller ones,it seems so that they have a currency,converter in um included already that's,nice,here i have contact field something i,would not recommend but that seemingly,is an option in in their um in their,theme,er search icon um again not best,practice so they have it here that's,something i would change there and,obviously the,annoying login account creation thingy,and then we have the back or the card,here and also with a contrasting color,so that's nicely done so overall i like,the header you have all the main,information in here a couple of things,that i would add would for instance like,a support email address right here and,other things but overall the header,quite easy,now then we have here our slideshow our,hero image usually i do not recomme

Best FREE Shopify Themes 2022 - Shopify Theme Review

hey guys in this one i want to go,through some of the best shopify,themes that are completely free to use,so for this year there are a bunch of,free themes,you can upload these you can edit these,make them really unique but the best,part about them,is they are completely free to use so,you can basically set up your shopify,store,by just downloading one of these themes,and getting straight into it,and that's what we're going to do just,get straight into the video i will leave,some more information in the description,so you can go and check that out i'll,leave some links that might be,interesting and some more information,in the description apart from that let's,just get stuck into the first one which,is debut so debut is a super flexible,theme,and you can basically use this even if,you don't have a lot of products,but if you do have a lot of products it,can work for you too,they really call this debut because this,is one of the main themes that you're,gonna get when,starting out with shopify because of,that it's really,easy to customize this theme and it can,start small and grow with you so,even if you don't have a ton of products,right now it will still look really good,and then as you fill out your site if,you do want more products it's also,gonna have no issues whatsoever in,adding those in it's really easy to,rearrange everything when using debut,actually if you just want to start a,store using your smartphone and you,don't have a computer or,you know you just don't want to do that,you want to start a store really quickly,you can actually use debut on your,smartphone set up your store i've got,some more tutorials on that if you want,to check those out,just look through my videos or maybe,i'll put them in the description as well,but,debut is really customizable and you can,edit it right on your smartphone,if you are on a computer though you can,look between these,two different styles basically one is,called default and one is called light,and you can just see,how different styles can actually really,change the look and feel of a website,one of the things i like most about,davey really is that it's just not,really offensive,and it's not too salesy it looks really,nice and pleasant and welcoming as a,site,and of course you do have the store,there as well to put your products in,this store honestly looks completely,different to an actual store like this,is not amazon most,stores and businesses that are going to,be using shopify are kind of more,boutiquey style,kind of uh not as just mass market as,something that you'd find on amazon and,so,this type of theme i think really goes,well with most businesses that want to,actually use,shopify to sell items not only can you,start your store on here list your,products on here and it's obviously,really simple for the user it just has,that big item up there,shop and then you can go to shop but you,have that home page as well,where you can really just promote your,story and your brand,because obviously if yo

Shopify 2.0 Templates Tutorial - Create Different Layouts for Product Pages & Collection Pages

all right what's up guys i did a poll,recently on my youtube channel where i,asked what my next video topic should be,and the most voted for topic was shopify,2.0 so today i want to talk about page,templates which is a new feature of,shopify 2.0 that many people aren't,using yet it's a really underrated,feature and it can really be quite,powerful one of the most common,questions that i get on my channel when,i talk about adding a specific feature,to a product page,is how can i add this to one product,but not to another product right how can,i add a feature to one product page,without affecting the rest of the,products on my store and a good example,of this is this tutorial where i showed,you how to add a gift message field to a,product so obviously this is for,products that have some kind of note,attached to them or maybe they have an,engraving or maybe there's something,written on the shirt whatever it's a,customizable product right and maybe not,all your products are like this maybe,not all your products are customizable,so you want to add this on one product,but not on another type of product and,that's really easy to do in shopify 2.0,you just have to use page templates so,i'm going to show you how to do that,today another good use of page templates,is to make a completely different design,for different product pages so you may,have some products which are like your,flagship products your main products,and you have a lot more to say about,them right you have you want to talk,about their features a lot more so the,example that i've got here is all birds,you know they've got their merino wool,or or tree actually tree fabric sneakers,and they have this product page right,the top of it is a typical shopify,product page but then they've got these,extra features that they want to talk,about below and we can do this now,thanks to shopify 2.0 and sections,everywhere you know how previously you,only had sections on the home page now,you have them on every page so you can,add sections,underneath your main product section on,your product page but maybe you don't,need that for all products so here,they've got their beanie and you know,they just don't have that much to say,about the beanie because the beanie is,like not their main thing their main,thing is sneakers so they have these two,different product page templates one for,the shoes and probably the other one is,just the default product template for,regular products and you know this,doesn't have to be limited to just,product pages either so here they have a,collection page which is like your,typical shopify collection page right,you have a product grid and you have,your filters on the left here but they,also have this other collection page,under new arrivals when you click on,warm weather,they have collection pages with this,nice image banner and look this is for,warm weather and it's really warm image,it really gives the mood and they have,this kind of image banner for every type,of collection that

5 Shopify Themes We Are Currently Loving For Clothing Stores

All everyone Christian here.,And today,,I want to share with you,the latest themes to use.,If you are a clothing store,and you want to actually,stand out,,also stick around,to the end,for my personal,favorite theme right now,,So after the OWS 2.0 release,,there have been,a lot of new themes showing up,or popping up on the Shopify,theme store.,And the theme developers,are getting better,and better,when it comes,to making them more distinct,and just adding subtle features,and things to make them,look really good,and different from each other.,Because before I would say,,like a lot of these themes,have some,some of the same elements,and some of the same things,,but I feel like now,we're starting to,see a little bit more,wide gamut,of different themes out there,,and that's what we want,to talk about today.,Some of the top five,right now that we're loving,and you should check out,if you are a clothing store,or not a clothing store.,Really,,you want to check out,some really cool,themes right now.,So the first thing that we have,is Stockholm,by code supply code.,A couple of highlights here.,It's a very clean, minimalist,,has some subtle animations,and some unique sections.,Now, I do want to show you,this real quick.,So I'm going to click,on The View Demo Store.,By the way, it's $280,and then a lot of these themes,,like I've mentioned in the past,,they have different theme styles,and all the styles they're for,really is,just to kind of show you,a different look,and feel,of the site of the theme,before you actually,install it on on your store.,But a couple of things here.,These are the,,the unique sections,that I was talking about,the section right here,which just categorizes,your collection,so that Top's sales,,new arrivals and bags,and this kind of,store animations,and it just looks really cool,and nice,really cool,to just kind of navigate,through a section like this.,And they're using it.,And this particular style,on the very top,as is kind of like the hero,probably wouldn't recommend,something like this,for the hero.,But if you want to use a section,further down on your,on your home page,,I would definitely do,something like that.,This is another,sort of animation,that I was talking about,,just like this talk on,just rotating here,on this corner.,It just it just adds,an extra flair, right, to the,to the actual store.,And like I said,,when you hover over certain,things like the products,,you get this subtle,animation with the name,and then a little zoom,right there.,So just subtle things that,make this,theme just really pop for me.,And look at this.,Like when you hover over,the categories, bags, hat tops,,you actually get a picture,in the background,that moves with your cursor.,I've seen that being done,in other websites.,I've never seen it,done here on Shopify.,So that's actually really,,really cool.,We have a review section,popular and look at this,also subtle animation.,When I'm scrolling,,you get some sort,of parallax effect,with the images,that ar

10 NEW Shopify OS 2.0 Themes! | Make Your Shopify Store Look PROFESSIONAL

in today's video i'm going to show you,10 of the newest and best themes,available for shopify online store 2.0 i,did a video like this a few months ago,but at that time online store 2.0 was,still pretty fresh and there were only,36 themes available as of today there,are 71 so i took another look and i have,picked an all-new top 10.,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video alright,so these themes are no particular order,and i'll have all the links in the,description box below the first thing we,are looking at is vogue when i'm looking,at themes i don't pick anything that is,too similar to shopify's free theme dawn,because shopify is continually making,improvements to make it easier for their,users to edit and customize their themes,on their own so why would you want to,pay for something that you could get for,free so vogue is unique it has a fixed,sidebar on the right and then the,scrolling content over here this theme,puts a big emphasis on photos and,doesn't contain a whole lot of text the,product photos definitely do the talking,so if you have great product photos this,would be a great option,next up is launch this is a theme that,i'm really excited about because this is,a great option for one product stores,not a whole lot of theme options exist,that are made specifically for one,product stores so i was really excited,to see this theme let's take a look,through you have your hero banner and,then a featured photo and a little bit,about the product,and then we get down to the specs,and a video of the product,then we get to see more product features,and then testimonials,you also have an area here to feature,blog posts a newsletter and then the,footer taking a look at the pre-order,page it has this cool fun meter here and,then down here we have social sharing,options where you can just click and,then share the product so great for,gathering support for your product,launch scrolling down we see the same,product features that were on the home,page this is great because this works as,a landing page so a person coming to the,store for the first time will likely,land here and might not even visit the,home page so it's great to have and then,scrolling down further we see more,product features,overall excellent theme definitely one,that i'd recommend and would personally,use myself,our next name is grid this is another,theme with a heavy photo emphasis this,makes it very easy to customize the,theme for your niche just by swapping,out the photos each one of the photos,you see here is linked to a specific,collection as we scroll down we see new,arrivals,related products,a featured product block and then,another featured product with,testimonials after that there is a block,where you can add an announcement you,have your blog and then the footer,you can see that this theme is equipp

[Shopify Dawn Theme] How To Add Mega Menu - 2023

hi guys welcome back to WebSensePro  youtube channel I'm your host Bilal Naseer  ,and today we will be adding  a mega menu in our dawn theme  ,and after adding the mega menu you will  have your mega menu showing up like this,where you can have submenu items displayed  properly and improve the layout of your  ,theme so if you want to learn please watch the  video till the end let's jump into the code,so guys this is how the default menu of dawn  theme looks like now in order to add a little  ,spice with the mega menu all you need to do is add  an app so go to the back end of your Shopify store,and from the dashboard click on apps,and from apps click on customize your store  ,so the app which we are installing is a free app  where you don't need to pay anything and you can  ,easily add a mega menu to your store now in apps  search for Buddha mega menu and that's the app  ,which we'll be installing to add in the mega menu  to our dawn theme now click on this that's the app,and from this menu click on add app,now it's asking uh for your app to be  connected with your store and authorize  ,the access now click on install app,now it's showing up the paid and free package  we will be using free version, for now,  ,in paid version we can have many many  features like live icons animated icons,  ,and multiple styles of the mega menu  for now we'll just choose the free plan,okay now after selecting the free app  you will have an initializing app screen,okay here's the dashboard of buddha apps mega menu  now click on the first menu item we can just add  ,the home icon static icons and select home which  will be linked to home page add in that now add in  ,our mega menu item which will have multiple  sub menu columns first add in the main menu,so i'll be adding services,which will not link anywhere you can link it  uh to any of your inner page to product page  ,blog page or any of the custom web address if  you want to but for now in order for the sake  ,of the tutorial i'll just click on no link now  click ok and in this menu item we will create  ,sub-menu which will have five columns  now click on these three small lines  ,and select on simple so in free version  we only have the simple one we don't have  ,any other styles of the sub menu unfortunately  because it's a free version so we'll select on  ,simple and now in here we will create our  five columns or you can say five list items,first list,now we are adding our second list,okay guys so i have created five columns  ,the way i showed you guys and i also added a  sub menu item as you can see we have uh items  ,showing up on each list we can add multiple  items on each list and our mega menu will look,awesome like this and after adding  all of your item click on save,so our mega menu item has been saved  successfully and that's how it will look  ,like once you hover over it now let's click  on this button here add and design mega menu,so here it will have an option to select the  menu if you have multi

Select Variant by Clicking Images - Shopify 2.0 FREE themes [NO app]

hi everyone in this tutorial we're going,to customize our shopify 2.0 free team,so it can add an option for your,customer to select a variant by only,clicking the thumbnail image,so i know it would be nice for the,customer to just look on the image and,then click it and then it will,automatically change the variant options,so this is what we're adding here i'm,using refresh team for this one,so whenever your customer click on the,thumbnail photos it will auto select the,color for this one so if i select blue,um it will change to blue and black or,to change to black and then you have an,option to use multiple thumbnail image,and assign them to the option you want,so like for example i have three black,photos here so if i click blue to change,it and then we click this second black,photo and if i click on the blue again,and select this third one it will select,the color so you have you have a choice,to have multiple image assigned to the,same variant option and whenever you,select red it will select the red option,and also it updates the price and,everything in here if you select the,design so like example design 2 it will,keep that option but you have to assign,this option to automatically select and,only one variant options what i mean is,you can't assign these images to,automatically select the color and the,design so it only goes to the first,variant option it doesn't matter if you,name it color or design so make sure you,assign it as the first option and also,you cannot hide the images that is,corresponding to the variant options,what i'm trying to say is if we go to,our admin store and we go to online,store,i'm using refresh theme here click,customize to open a team editor and when,we go to our drop down will change the,home page to products and then default,products,and when you click the product,information to open the section settings,you have an option to hide other,variants you really don't want to do,that because it will hide the images,that is connected to the options then,there will be no images that your,customer can click,so unclick that and make sure you click,or choose,thumbnails or thumbnails carousel you,cannot use stock on this one because if,you choose stop and then the customer,click on the image it will only open the,zoomed image or the bigger image so it's,really no way for us to select a variant,by using stack so you have an option to,use multiple images you have to assign a,media alt for the image if we go out,here and we go to our products we're,just going to leave,and then go to products,and i'm just going to edit my ultralight,pedal so i have it here,so when you go to the media you have to,assign the same variant name that you,want so like for example for this one i,have color blue so i ctrl c on this one,so i can copy and then click on the blue,image that i wanted to assign and then,click edit alt and then just ctrl v to,paste,the blue in here so make sure,you have the same exact word or a name,so like example i have c

Booster theme for Shopify - Product Demo

okay guys so those of you who doesn't,know me my name is mark,uh five years ago we started that theme,called booster theme,which was a small theme having a,countdown timer and some,little other features like the sales,notification and since that day,five years ago we kept improving the,same theme,non-stop so instead of like developing a,bunch of other teams like the other team,developers,are doing so like if you compare to all,my competitors they have like 10 12,15 different theme to support we decided,that we're gonna just do,one theme which is gonna be the best,having all the features you need all the,flexibility you need,and everything uh all inside it so,basically it's,way more than a theme it's a complete,solution for marketing,and you guys are gonna see how powerful,this team is uh in this video so,let's start right now we don't have a,second two ways and thanks for being,there today with me,okay so let's go let's uh,cool uh so yeah so this is the most or,it's,it's not it's not a final design but,basically i want just to show you,uh what kind of uh mentality we have at,booster team,and when i say that it's more than a,theme it's more it's more a tool,is that because if you go to our theme,settings you're gonna see that,already you know we're not asking you to,integrate,a gdpr uh netiz bar messenger chat free,shipping bar,all those things are integrated directly,into booster so countdown timer recently,bought because,the card timer uh dynamic title like,which is,this thing that is pretty cool so we,cannot see it right now,but basically it says wait come back,those are,cool features from booster team that are,directly integrated inside our theme,coding,and one of the thing that is cool is,that we give you the control over how,your team is going to look like,and when we say that we mean it let's,say for example my product card here,i want to change my my product card,style i can just go there and decide,whether uh do i want to have a button,on it or uh i don't want it and there's,many many many styling options so like,in,less than a click i added a button here,where i can add this product to the card,or do i want to use a catalog view,instead,and make something cool that people to,see the price,they are gonna need to go to the product,page and uh that um,basically create curiosity inside your,your customer,uh or uh do i want to,also i don't know like um,do i want to adjust uh the spacing,between my card so i can just go there,and change the spacing i can put like 49,pixel here,of spacing between my cards and like,basically we've,we've put limits uh to 50 pixels but,it's because,everything is calculated so your store,is always going to look great,so you have the flexibility but we make,sure that your store is always going to,look great,so do i want to have three three cards,instead per row,uh you can do it with booster team uh,basically you have control over,everything but like,it doesn't stop there like do you want,to play with your layout as
