what's up everyone it's jamie here from,shopify masterclass and today,i'm going to be doing a review on the,boundless shopify theme this is a free,shopify theme,a lot of stores use it it's very,callable very vibrant before we start,this video i just want to quickly thank,our sponsor,discover profit calc the affordable and,easy to set up shopify app,that crunches your numbers in just one,click it automatically syncs with all,your accounts and expenses to,calculate your profit displaying,everything in an easy to read dashboard,so you understand your business in real,time,start for free on the shopify app store,today,for review today we'll be ranking,balance in four categories it's speed,it's customization it's mobile options,and it's home page options,just to start i'm gonna go to the,boundless page i have open here just,give you an idea of what it looks like,fully set up so there are two options,there's the black and white and the,vibrant,giving you a little more uh,customization here and how you want the,basic theme to look,today i'm just going to the black and,white because that seems to be the most,popular,and so i have the demo loaded up here so,overall the theme looks great it's,really meant for visually appealing,stores to give your clothing brand or,yourself something quite artsy and you,really want,the product image to be the forefront of,the display it's not can't be very,technical because there's not a lot of,room for documentation underneath,but if you have clothing or something,similar it's a great option,so as we look at this home page here you,have a nice big sliding,hero image which is quite popular and,quite quite trendy online,so you have two collections here man,woman you also have your,display images this is an option on the,home page not a really good one here,because,it allows for full grid width and as you,can see,displays everything quite clearly into,the bottom here,just some basic stuff filled out we go,to the product page,nice big images here description you,have different,sizes here this is a nice selection menu,makes it easy for the customer to decide,what they want,great for clothing options as well,because we have different sizes as well,as different colors,as you can see with the product page the,image is are the,center of the product page two advantage,images here two large images there,i just pulled mobile here there's your,image up top,and then you have to show up again below,so i haven't downloaded on my shopify,store here,so i'm just in the customization section,right now and we go back to,the top of the home page so overall,there's good customization on the home,page you have your announcement bar,so you can show different things like,you can have a different sale something,similar you have your header,you can add different images here as,well and your menus here,whoops didn't need to click that i'm,going to go back to the home page,so let's bring this back home page and,let me page you out good sliding,navigat

hi guys so the video you're about to,watch is actually a clip taken from one,of my recent videos in which i gave sort,of an overview and my review of every,single free shopify theme on shopify's,theme store so if you guys are just,first right now getting started choosing,a theme for your shopify store,i'd recommend you guys go check out that,video it gives a pretty good overview of,what the different pros and cons of each,theme is and like what your choices are,as far as themes go so i'll leave a link,to that down in the description of this,video,and i'll also link to it at the end of,this video but uh without further ado,let's just get started with this theme,review,okay so next thing we're going to do is,boundless i kind of have a uh a love,hate relationship with boundless i,actually made a video about how to make,boundless menus better um to be honest,with you like their menus are not my,favorite um they can work for certain,things one of the things they show in,the demo is basically,um,this is great like great for a clothing,store and yeah i'd have to agree with,them you can see their menu like doesn't,it doesn't have a drop down like there's,no ability to have a drop down right uh,which is kind of,limiting and annoying in my opinion um,we have uh you can see basically the way,balance works or at least this theme on,boundless works is like instead of the,traditional um product image and then,uh,like the little description or the the,cost or whatever it just has that like,pops up as a sort of an overlay over the,products when you hover over them which,is kind of nice i mean it's a nice feel,to it like it feels like a very modern,uh sort of chic site um,we have uh you know they say it's,optimized for large images that's uh you,know that's what we're just looking at,like yeah like it's gonna literally,maximize the amount of space to showcase,your products um there's a slideshow,with fading effect that's you know a lot,of the themes have that once again,sticky navigation this is um,you know basically it means like when,you,scroll down the page,uh basically the menu bar comes with you,the single product gallery so if we go,and check out one of their products um,you can see that like the product images,are going to be massive for this so this,is like i would say for boundless like,if you have extremely good product,images,and you don't want to mess around with,product copy as much like you basically,just want to rely upon like i don't know,maybe you're a photographer or something,and like maybe you're literally,showcasing the actual images you're,selling this might be a great,uh theme for that or if your your,product images speak for themselves and,you don't need that much product copy to,go along with them uh you might consider,this theme as well to me i think that,this works you know with the clothing it,would work if you're like an artist and,you're trying to sell your art anything,where your product is extremely,impressive visually it might wor

hey guys happiness here welcome back to,my channel and we are back again with,another shopify game overview,and in today's video we are going to do,some review or an overview about,boundless shopify theme so this theme is,free and so i am going to show you a,background of it what this theme,actually has so you can see and knows if,this uh they will be perfect for your,shopify store i'm just gonna help you to,save your time just to add this um theme,in your store and then you're gonna end,up not liking it just because of its,feature and things like that so i'm,gonna show you in detail what this,bundle is theme is for what is meant for,and showing you what does it require or,what does it has so you can have an idea,if this will be a good fit for your,store so as you can see here this is our,bank bankless theme,and it is actually a store that is meant,for all minimal things so it is a,minimal name and if you have like a,really really good photograph that they,are going to stand out this name is for,you because the theme will make your,pictures your photos they have to be,really really good picture though,they're gonna make it stand out like,even your customer won't have to read,your uh description just about your,stuff,just because of how the photographs,looks like so as you can see here it,says this is a minimal theme that puts,your photographs front and at the center,so yeah so these are the features of the,boundless theme it has an optimize for,large images so when you add your images,on this boundless theme your images,they're going to be like so large like,to have that really good picture,so your customer can see a story of the,picture like when when they see the,picture your customer will really love,your product that you're selling so they,have a showcase of high-resolution,products so if you're really good on,photographs product this theme is for,you they have also a slideshow with,fading effects so you have an option to,add multiple products or brand images on,your slideshow homepage they also have a,sticky navigation i'm gonna show you,when i'm starting to review the demo,like what i meant by the sticky,navigations and they also have a single,product galley which is going to feature,like a really large and high uh high,resolution images,and also they have a full with,collection images in the homepage video,so you can add your videos on these um,boundless themes so let's go and view,the demo so you can see what i meant by,all these features so let's go back here,and they this theme has uh different,presets they have a black and white,which is this one and they also have a,vibrant which is this one so i'm just,going to show you how the black and,white demo store looks like so let's,click view demo style,so this is one of the things that i was,talking about they have um,they have a showcase for a,high-resolution product imagery,throughout your store as you can see,here this,image is like wow like i'm like wow it's,like a really good resolutio

How To Change Background Image of Shopify Boundless Theme in 2020

hello everyone and welcome back to,another video and one of my past videos,for the changing your background image,of the debut theme somebody had asked me,can I do it for a boundless this is it,the same so this is it I'm going to show,you guys how to do it for boundless it,was a little a little tricky but this is,not as hard as you may think it's pretty,similar similar to the debut theme but,um let's get into it this is a pretty,much a little example that I made but,here we go so we're in the back end,you're gonna go to online store you,click on online store then you click,theme let me refresh this make sure,everything's good alright so yeah you,click theme and what you do is we're,going to go to edit code the boundless,theme is my live theme as you can see,right here is my live theme and what,we're gonna do is edit code,and here do not get overwhelmed by this,is not complicated for what we're doing,so what you're gonna do first is click,add a new asset and then click Choose,file in here you're gonna scroll around,and find the image you want I'll change,it to this one don't remember what this,one is but you guys will be able to tell,if there's something different,so we're gonna add that in you check it,I think this is it,oh okay is this thing all right we're,gonna use that image okay and now you're,going to go to theme dot s CSS dot,liquid and now once it pops up you're,going to if you're on Windows,press ctrl F if you're on a Mac press,command F and it's going to bring up,this search bar and when the search bar,is up we're just going to type basic and,you'll see basic styles right here but,we're going to do is press the arrow one,time and now we have basic styles we're,down in a section what you're going to,do is add this piece of code this code,is going to be in the description like,my previous videos this is going to be,in the description and all you're going,to do is for me I'm changing is changing,the image to with the file nameless,this is the file name right here make,sure it matches this or it will not work,if there's a jpg with it II make sure,you have that Ian or it will not work,this right here is colors so if you,don't if you don't want to image as your,background you can um let me delete this,for a second so I can show you guys if,you don't want to image as your,background let's preview this,it would just turn into a color like,this this aqua color and if you want,that instead all you have to do is type,in HTML HTML color codes and you can,just go to one of these websites and,pick the color you want you want green,fine all you do is take this code copy,and put it right here all you do is,paste it right here you're good to go,but since this is for background images,I'm gonna put the background back in and,all I'm doing is saving and then preview,the preview is gonna come up and then we,have our new background like if you,really want a certain background and,it's not blending with your tux all you,have to do is change the text color so

Transforming Shopify's FREE Theme Craft into a DARK Tech Theme

in today's video we are going to turn,shopify's free theme craft into a dark,tech theme this is a really simple,transformation that anyone can do i'm,going to walk you through each of my,settings and i have also created a free,cheat sheet for you which you can,download for free through our private,facebook group,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video alright,so first things first let's take a quick,look at what craft looks like before,now let's get into transforming this,theme,alright so first things first you will,need to install craft so from your,shopify dashboard click online store,scroll to where you can see free themes,and click explore free themes,from there select craft,and add the theme to your library,i'm going to walk you through all my,settings in this video and i will be,popping up the settings on the side like,this for easy viewing and as i mentioned,i've also created a cheat sheet,containing all the settings on one page,which i've posted in our private,facebook group,okay with the theme installed click,customize and let's get started,first we're going to work on colors so,click theme settings,colors and follow along with me,once you get to accent one gradient if,you click on the circle you will be,presented with several presets to choose,from,the one i use for this design is this,one right here,by now you will have entered all of your,colors so you can now select them from,here to speed up the process,all right let's save our work and let's,move on to the next section,the next section we are working on is,the checkout which you can find at the,bottom here,from the drop down at the top select,checkout so you can see your changes,where it says form fields we are going,to switch it from light to transparent,save your work and we are going to move,on to typography,from the drop down select home page,then select typography,we are going to use the font pop-ins so,go ahead and start typing that in and,when it appears you can go ahead and,click on it,and then we're going to change this from,regular to bold,we are going to change the body text to,poppins as well,and then select medium,the last thing to do here is to change,the heading font size scale up to 125,percent,save your work and we are finished here,now it's time to move on to the home,page settings,when it comes to the sections you can,really add or remove whatever you'd like,in order to best suit your store but,there are a few settings that i've,changed on the homepage that i'm going,to show you the first thing is the logo,click on header,upload your logo,change the desktop position to middle,left,and then change the size to 160 px,as for the sections you can set these up,however you want do what works best for,your products and what you sell i filled,most of the default sections in i,removed the blog pos

Better Boundless Menus Without Coding

hi guys so in today's video i wanted to,take you guys through how you can make,boundless's default menu a little bit,more,um aesthetic and also more functional,so boundless is a free theme on shopify,it's it's quite a,good looking theme as far as the rest of,the theme goes but i i find that the,menus are,are very bare bones and very um just not,great to be quite honest with you so we,can see an example of this here i have,my test site pulled up and you can see,when we hover over our mouse,on these menu items there's no drop down,that pops up,unfortunately they haven't coded in a,drop down so to code in a drop down if,you guys already don't know how to code,you definitely have to hire a developer,to do that but,what i'm going to give you guys is sort,of like a happy medium between those two,things in this video,so uh if you look if we click this,catalog right,it'll take us to a contextual menu here,and then once we're in this catalog we,can navigate back and forth between the,the main menu and this contextual menu,but we can't actually click this other,catalog because once we do that,uh it'll take us to another page what,we're going to do is we're going to,basically take this feature,of this contextual menu and we're going,to put it on the home page so you can,just always be,hopping around between menus and whatnot,and so that's going to look like this so,you can see,that here i have visual feedback as far,as when i'm when i'm hovering over with,my mouse,and when i click a catalog it'll pop up,with,the two options or if i click this,catalog it'll pop up these options,if i mouse off of this it'll pop these,back down,or i can click this back arrow and it'll,take me back to the main menu,so to do this it's going to be really,simple for you guys i already have all,the code that you're going to need i've,copied,into the description um just make sure,before you uh,before you go ahead and get started make,sure you download your theme file,you're going to click this button here,and shopify will send you,a theme file download link to your email,make sure you do that because if you,mess anything up you're going to want to,backup,so once you've done that we can go ahead,and click edit code here,and it's going to bring up our files,here you guys want to open up two files,here you want to open up,the sections folder and go ahead and hit,open up actionbar.liquid,and the other thing that you guys want,to open up is the assets folder,and open up theme.js.liquid,okay so once we have these two files,open you want to navigate in this,theme.js.liquid file,um yours you want to find basically this,line and mine is on 150,no 1153 i think,if i have this remembered correctly yeah,so 1153,this open sub nav from nav item this,function here,you just want to make sure you're in,this place guys make sure that you're,you're in this like theme.cast,whatever make sure you're here don't,don't go messing around with like,anything else because you might break,your site go ahead and,

WP-Boundless Theme Quick Walk-through

hi everyone this is Alistair Barnett,from solo stream thank you for your,interest in WP boundless I'd like to,just do a quick video to show you some,of the cool features of our latest and,greatest theme available in the,WordPress theme store at solo stream com,this is the default color scheme to blue,as you can see there's the site title,area different variants of that color,and as you scroll down there greatest,elements that are also that color in the,footer widgets area there's a pattern,that you can see you can easily remove,that I'll show you in a moment so first,I'd like to show you how to override the,color scheme if you go to appearance and,then WP boundless theme settings you can,go to the general site styling tab let's,say you want it to be a green instead so,I'll make that a green Save Changes,refresh and as you can see all of the,elements are agreeing now you may want,to change the ribbon title heading here,you can do that you go to advanced site,styling and the ribbon title background,color let's say you wanted to be that,blue when you wanted the font color to,be a dark blue as you can see you can,select multiple options and save the,changes and they all take effect at once,so there you go you got the light color,and then the dark color now something,new we're introducing actually,introducing many things in this theme,one of the things is the side tabs,widget colors you're actually able to,adjust those and our previous themes it,was not possible you can do this on the,sidebar styling tab and there various,options I'm just going to show you the,color ones but you can see there's font,family font size font weight so let's,change the link color to be a light blue,the background color will be like a,purple the current tab let's make that,a dark green and the current a,background color and make it a yellow,now you probably won't be making drastic,changes like these I just want to show,you dick ease of making these changes so,here you go side tabs widget colors are,now different now as you probably notice,the top there these social media icons,if you scroll down they are in the fixed,navigation bar now you may want to have,a whole bunch of links here in the top,navigation but not in the fixed,navigation so what you can actually do,is remove the social media icons from,the top navigation that's done on the,social media and subscriptions tab if,you scroll down to the bottom there's a,display social media icons in top,navigation let's look No,Save Changes when you refresh they're,not there but if you scroll down they,are in the fixed navigation so you have,a way to have more links up here here,now the site title ribbon you can turn,that off if you'd like it automatically,gets turned off if you select a custom,logo but perhaps you don't want to have,this graphic here so as you saw I just,selected no there save the changes and,refresh and there you go there's an,overlay of a post title and the post,title excerpt post excerpt in the future,post s

Shopify's New FREE Themes - are they any good?

shopify just released three new free,themes and they're really really good,and i want to talk about them if we,haven't met before i am shelley of,launch party i'm an e-commerce designer,and creator of shop school,hi these new free themes use shopify's,online store 2.0 which is their updated,and upgraded online store customizer it,has a lot of new features so if you,haven't checked out shopify in a while,you definitely want to see what's next,so let's take a tour of the themes,so here are the new themes sense craft,and crave dawn was released last summer,and i'm at the shopify theme store at,themes.shopify.com to see these themes,and i can easily just add any of them to,my shopify store right from here,so these themes all seem to have the,same functionalities and features it's,really just the starting off point,design wise so whichever feels the most,similar to your brand for instance if,you're looking for something more modern,then sense or dawn would be a good,starting point if you're looking for,something a little bit more handmade,feeling then craft is a great starting,point,and crave is geared towards restaurants,but any of them can be fit towards any,type of brand because all of your colors,and fonts and products and everything,will be able to be changed,so let's try out scents and see what,that's going to look like,so clicking sense and i'm going to click,try theme,and it's adding it to our store,and we can see sense being added to our,theme library,and now it's added so let's go to the,customizer,so i'm going to click customize,so this is what it looks like right out,of the box we have these kind of fun,yellow orange gradients happening,featured collection talk about your,brand so all of these different sections,are just our starting off point and we,don't have to keep any of them,so we can go and see everything that we,can change,over in theme settings,so we have all of these different color,options and i love that these gradients,are built in here now and you can select,your own gradient or adjust colors,or add new colors that's really a cool,feature now,and there's just a lot more choices with,these new online store 2.0 themes that,we can customize versus the old shopify,themes,so it's really exciting,and now just for fun i'm going to,customize sense creating a fictitious,store so you can see just how easy it is,to create your own unique store using,shopify's themes as a starting off point,and watch it come together super fast,so here's a time lapse so i'm condensing,about 20 minutes worth of work into a,minute and a half so you can see,everything come together,and i'm starting with the theme settings,which are the colors and the fonts so,i'm trying some different options here,and i put in a new logo and configured,the header a little bit differently,and then next working my way through the,actual sections on the home page so i,just styled out the image with text,section and then adding in some other,sections so i added in an image bann

How to CUSTOMIZE Shopify Video Slider (Remove White Box, Remove Text on Mobile, Edit Spacing)
