this is the new ac 200 max bluetooth,flagship portable power station i've had,this unit on test for just over a week,now it's an evolution of the ac 200p,which i've used extensively and which,i'll link to in the description,the ac 200 max will launch tomorrow,tuesday the 12th of april at 11 a.m,sydney time this is important because if,you want one the first 200 units are,going to be offered at a heavily,discounted 2599,that's a strict limit blue eddie tells,me after those first 200 units are gone,the price will revert to the,undiscounted recommended retail price of,2999,so if you want 400 bucks off mark that,11 a.m launch promo price in yo calendar,and get your mouse hand limbered up,early,there's a link in the description and,pinned to the comments below as well now,having just tested it i am a huge fan of,this product and yes blue eddie did send,it to me for free to review,no they're not getting any input into,what i say about it yes i will earn a,small commission if you use the link in,the description and no,that does not cost you any extra,this review is in three parts okay,what does the ac 200 max actually do,who is it right for and lastly a field,test i'm gonna drive a bunch of power,hungry tools here in the fat cave using,just the blue eddy and see if it'll,support,one man's simple but noble quest to be a,madman of metal manipulating mayhem,perhaps if the power goes down i don't,know following a flood or a fire or a,pandemic,i think we can all relate to that in,some small way by now,inside the case is a somewhat hefty,lithium-ion phosphate battery pack,2048 watt hours,that's actually bigger than the battery,in a toyota rav4 hybrid and the battery,tech in the blue eddy itself is somewhat,more advanced the battery forms the,foundation of what this unit can do,let's put it in perspective okay,this,this is an 18 volt 4 amp hour power tool,battery lithium ion chemistry there's a,bunch of,probably 18 650 cells inside spot welded,together and if you get your hands on,the tools from time to time you will,know how much work one of these can do,right how many screws it will drive in,how many holes it'll drill etc how much,sweat it saves you,that is 72 watt hours of energy that's,18 volts times 4,amp hours equals 72 watt hours right,the battery in the ac 200 max,is about 28 of those batteries,equivalent sort of just in terms of the,energy that's on board and it is,tremendously versatile on the output,side,you get four standard household power,outlets gpos more or less,plus four usb a plugs for electronic,devices and a 100 watt high power usbc,that is just crying out to energize a,dying laptop,there's 12 volts dc out as well you get,a sigi lighter port a 30 amp super dc,port and two 10 amp outlets plus,inductive charge pads on top,15 watts a piece there enough for two,devices total power output of this unit,is 2200 watts which is huge and you can,use all of the ports,at the same time like all of the output,ports at once if you want or obviously,as man

this video has been supported by blue,etti,hey folks i'm making good progress with,my solar system but of course that,industry is plagued by the same supply,chain troubles as everybody else so,while waiting for the last few,components for a fixed installation i'm,going to give blue eti's ac200 max a try,an absolutely enormous more or less,mobile battery power station,this big box full of delicious lithium,iron phosphate and this optional,extension battery pack have been,provided by the manufacturer for this,independent review,fundamentally this is the same thing,that i intend to use to turn my dc solar,power into something that all the,average ac enjoyers in my house can,consume,a 50 volt battery a maximum power point,tracking charger for it and a powerful,mains output inverter today i want to,find out if it is well made thought,through and able to power my whole lab,it should and for a good long while,i get the impression that this product,is not really meant to be carried around,as much as the smaller power stations,that we've tried before,just because of how huge and heavy it is,you could of course strap it to one of,these vintage tektronix lab cards and,have a boat anchor powered by a boat,anchor,but i think it's mainly interesting for,powering remote cabins in the woods and,rvs the value proposition being that you,are getting a functional hopefully safe,plug and play solar generator for the,installation of which you hardly need,any electrical knowledge the hardest,part in the installation might just be,plugging in this appropriately chunky,cable,to connect an extension pack with the,main unit up to 2 can be connected,that is a really tight fit holy moly not,sure if that's ever going to come out,again,in most high energy scenarios hot,plugging is a cardinal sin and it will,get you fired in more ways than one,in this case the manual doesn't seem to,be strongly opposed to it,in fact occasionally i have heard relays,clicking inside of the units so it might,just be safe either way,one thing that i didn't understand right,away closely related to the hot,plugability is that this locking switch,in addition to mechanically blocking the,connector release button also needs to,be engaged for the devices to recognize,and communicate with each other,the co-operation of multiple modules in,various functional or non-functional,states is a great source of quirks in,this system we'll meet a few edge cases,in a moment,but first feeding time this toiletry bag,holds all of the accessories that came,with the kit,there is a huge wall charger and a dc,input cable,initially i had a small concern about,the mains charger's tiff certificate not,being verifiable online a representative,was able to show me the detailed few,hundred pages tif test report for that,part though,the fu young brand is also a fairly big,deal with a german distributor and all,that so i am appeased,the ac200 max itself doesn't claim to,have any such certificates on the box,but searching for the ma

hey everybody Adam here with Hometown,Acres welcome back I want to talk to you,guys today about some upgrades we're,making to our backup home power system,if you caught one of our more popular,videos budget friendly emergency Backup,home power it's got about 1.7 million,views if you saw that one you know that,we had an electrician hardwire into the,house a transfer switch so we can,effectively switch from on-grid power to,off-grid power with the flip of our,switch down in our main panel box down,in the basement and for the last year,we've been relying on that and this,generator here to take care of us when,the power goes out now when you have a,video go somewhat viral like that with,1.7 million views and that many people,commenting inevitably you're going to,get some unsolicited advice some people,are nicer about it than others but from,reading all of the comments the,overarching theme was there's a lot of,downsides and dangers to portable gas,generators like this carburetors coming,up gas going bad they're loud carbon,monoxide poisoning and because of the,dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning,you've got to have it outside like I,have it here behind me and usually when,the power goes out it's weather related,so you're going to have your generator,out here running in the rain snow or,whatever inclement weather cause your,power to go out and then you've got to,refuel it out in the weather as well,so our solution to all the problems and,dangers presented by portable gas,generators when used for backup home,power is going to be this blue Eddy AC,500 which is a 5000 watt inverter and,these expandable B300 battery packs,which are good for 3072 kilowatt hours,of backup power now full disclosure blue,Eddie did send these to me to try out,here on the channel but under the,condition that I am free to give my,honest and unbiased review opinion,thoughts on the unit which is actually a,condition we have for all of the,products we get to test out here on,Hometown Acres now like I said this,ac500 is a 5000 watt pure sine inverter,but it doesn't actually have any battery,capacity storage inside this unit alone,it relies on the b300s expandable,battery packs to power it I don't know,if you can see but it's all plug and,play on the side so this one plugs into,this one and then this one plugs into,this one and you can add up to six b300s,now like I said each one of the battery,packs is 3072 kilowatt hours and blue,Eddie on their website states that each,one of these should be good for about,one day's worth of Backup home power,that's all going to be dependent on the,size of your home and the appliances,that you are using these batteries are,lithium-ion phosphate rated for up to 3,500 recharge Cycles at 80 percent of,their original battery capacity so if,you were to use these and recharge them,every single day and you take 3 500,divided by 365 days in a year you'd come,up just shy of 10 years that these,batteries should last so with these two,B300 batteries here we s

in this video i'm going to be reviewing,this blue eddie the ac200 max before i,go right into the review just wanted to,say i've had this for two weeks i've,been testing it in the workshop here and,in an off-grid situation where there's,no grid power at all,and i think this machine's performed,very very well,it's a blu-ray ac200 max,with a 2048 watt hour battery lithium,ion phosphate battery pure sine wave,inverter dc outlets that can charge all,your devices,and it has solar input up to 900 watts,also charges off mains power or you,could charge it whilst driving a car,with just your cigarette lighter top,adapter so,also for the technically minded people,you can download the blue eddy app and,control the blue eddy settings and see,its usage and capacity just from your,phone i think that's all pretty handy,anyway let's get into the review,that's pretty well packaged in there,safe for travel to pull this pull this,out okay thank you,straight up i'd say this is a really,nice well finished unit let's just turn,it on,has a really nice display here tells you,everything you need to know,it's got all the outlets that you could,need so over here we have the on off,switch,and down below that we'll have 12 volt,dc 10 amp cigarette style outlet,just below that,12 volt dc now this one here is a 30 amp,dc outlet it's a double prong screw-on,type,next one across is the double power,point type clacker that goes in through,there 12 volt dc 10 amp,going across the usbc 100 watts it's,quite a lot going through that little,power socket there 100 watts usb c,and usb a,you know that's 18 watts times two,it's actually times four,five volts dc three amps per outlet,that's quite high charging i like all,these little caps that go over and make,all these dust proof just moving over to,the right,you've got four,240 volt,10 amp outlets,okay so 240 volt 2 200 watts is what,this machine is capable of uh delivering,all together let's flick him around and,have a look on the end,what do we got here,we just looked at the output side of,things let's just have a quick look at,the input side of things again there's,these plastic covers they're kind of the,soft silicony rubber things these two,top ones,if you need to get some more power,bluedy have got these extension packs,where you can plug in to this main unit,and double or triple your power capacity,which is pretty nifty,let's put those away,we haven't got that so i can't test that,at this stage,okay so down through here here's a solar,input or,where you plug the vehicle into,um,or other external charging,elements and go under here you get the,cable and the cable just screws onto,here and away you go,and this socket here is where you plug,the mains adapter into in our case 240,volts plug it in away you go,and the charger,being a nice little external blue eddy,charger that'll charge that up in a,couple of hours,i guess depending on how flat it is,hey look at that on top there are two,wireless charging outlets i think that,15 watts ea

hello augie's worldwide i'm dave casler,amateur radio call sign ke0 og here with,another episode of ask dave,now as you know the chinese are putting,out a lot of power units this is the,fourth that i've tested and the second,from blue eddie,they're sometimes they call them,generators they're certainly not,generators they're battery operated,but if you need 110 or 12,or a little light or to charge your,phone uh this is a nice very portable,way to go,this is a blue eddy,and it is a portable power station model,number,echo bravo 3 alpha e b 3a,has a battery capacity,of,268,watt hours which is about a quarter of a,kilowatt hour uh it will produce um,let's see it will produce,uh 12 volt dc,and uh,120 volt ac,it says 50 or 60 hertz which means,there's a way you can switch it it's set,up for 60 coming into the us okay,so the output is two well let's look at,the front of it see what we have here,we've got,your power input is this panel right,here,and there are three different ways that,you can do it the most common of which,that you would use is this accepts a,computer power supply cord,okay,that's the input now the output you have,to turn on,there we go we turned it on,and,then turned it on again to see 12 volt,and so you've got a,power tick off type plug right here,or you can use,uh little power plug type things right,here,or,here are two,usb connectors to charge your phone and,the usbc,that is fully compliant so that you can,actually get quite a bit of charge out,of this what happens is this cooperates,with the device that you're charging and,can put quite quite a bit of,output power,now this one right here,is a light,and it's got two brightnesses,and it creates,sort of a,light like this it's pretty sharply,focused,okay,and then if you press it one more time,it does an imitation of sos,but actually what they do,is they send s,o,and then there's a break and then the,final s like that so that's sort of,instead of sos it's sls,but it would work it can be seen,for quite a ways away,so one more output that it has on it is,you can take your smartphone,and put your smartphone just put it on,top of here and it will charge your,smartphone if your smartphone is so,equipped which many of them are today,now the big question comes is,what is the quality of the output power,and,given it's a sine wave inverter,can you power an inductive load like a,drill or something like that with this,now the way you turn it on,is this thing will go off by itself but,you turn it on either by turning on the,dc or the ac,or the light up here okay and if you,want to charge your phone you need to,turn on the dc,in order for that to happen,all right,now,this is not very heavy,and,i think that we could find,a very easy way to carry this thing,around this would go,good in the back of your,camper or,your truck or your car or whatever,if you think you're going to be,somewhere where you need a powerful,light,relatively powerful light,dc,or something this can be charged from,that's the circu

morning guys welcome to cool tool,tuesday it's going to be a new segment,i'm doing on the channel and it's going,to showcase really cool and interesting,innovative products so from time to time,i get sent some really neat things and,and i can either keep it to myself and,you know not share with you guys but i'd,rather share with you guys the cool,stuff that i'm you know offered or i'm,getting today we got a specific a,special tool it's kind of designed to,help you out whether you know in an,emergency situation where the power goes,out or you know even to replace gas,powered generator so that's what we're,gonna review today is a uh it's a blue,eddy solar generator and it's it's brand,new it's right on the market right now,it's really cool and let's get right,into it,all right guys what we have here is the,blue eddy ac200p,power solar generator this thing is,really cool it comes in around 60 pounds,it's got 2 000 watt hours of storage it,can power,everything you can imagine,let's start off with the two wireless,charging ports on top you can put your,cell phone on here or here and you can,charge your your device that way we've,got our 12 volt eight millimeter,adapters here we've also got a 12 volt,cigarette lighter adapter or car,charging port we have we have two sets,of two ports so we have four ports usb,here and we have ac ports here with 2000,watt output so we can plug six devices,in simultaneously what i like about this,pack is it's got little rubber grommets,here and that plugs stuff that you're,not using and also keeps the dust out if,you're having you know construction and,whatnot so you can just close it out and,it offers a little bit of moisture,protection as well the other cool,feature about the blue eddy is it's got,a touchscreen control panel so when you,want to switch between your dc or your,ac you just click on your screen and you,can select ac or dc from the screen and,it's kind of it gives you a beep and it,tells you what it's doing which is kind,of cool the thing about this screen is,it's very intuitive it's kind of like,your your phone you know it's just it,feels right when you use it the control,panel keeps track of your usage once you,click on the ac button and you have ac,powered devices any kind of ac device,you plug into it it'll display the usage,that it's using there's also a button,there that shows you the data so if,there's any faults it'll register and,log them the control panel also displays,the amount of power that's left inside,the pack and any time you use the pack,it'll show you how much it's depleted,you'll notice that this product is,particularly cubish and it's what's,really neat about it is that you can,store it maybe under a desk or even like,in your kitchen in your cupboard and it,doesn't take up that much space the,thing is about this pack is it weighs 60,pounds so it needs two handles to pick,it up it's not exactly the most portable,thing but what it trades off in,portability it gains and usability has 2,000

hi everyone in this video i'm going to,be going over the,blue eddie eb70 portable power station,this was sent to me by blue eddie for,free they reached out to me,i am not getting paid for this review,but they did send this to me for free,i've been testing it out for the last,few weeks both on the road,and at home and so in this video i'm,going to go over the features,but mostly i'm going to tell you what i,like and what i don't like about it and,i'm also going to compare it to,a few different jackery products which i,have several of i have the jackery,explorer 240,the 500 the 1000 and the 1500,which were also given to me for free by,jackery for the purpose of reviewing,i don't have any brand loyalty to either,of these brands i'm not an affiliate for,either one,it doesn't really matter to me what i,use or what you use or what you buy,i just want to use the thing that works,best for me and i want to recommend the,thing that i think will work best,for you everyone is going to have,different purposes in mind for these,units,my channel is all about camping in your,car in your suv or other small vehicle,and so that's the angle that i'm coming,at this from i spend anywhere between,1 and 15 or 20 nights,at a time in my car and i use portable,power stations like this,to run a fridge all day every day and,also to charge up various,drone and camera batteries and to,recharge my laptop and,run little led light and that kind of,thing and so that's the angle that i'm,coming at this from but things in this,review will also apply to you,if you're getting this for emergency,preparedness reasons or you know various,other,various other uses and i realize that,the top of my head is being cut off here,but i think it's more important that you,see,this thing when you see my hair that's,going crazy in the wind right now,my quick review up front is that i like,the unit,and they get everything they get like,the big things mostly right,overall but there are some small things,that leave you scratching your head,wondering why did they do it this way i,do like it but,again there are some oddities that we'll,get into here overall it's a relatively,small,unit it weighs 21.8 pounds and i will,put the,the dimensions on the screen for you,guys,has a handle on it that folds down which,i really like,being around 22 pounds it's it's pretty,easy to to handle,this is this is in the size class that,really anyone can carry it and move it,around it's not so heavy that you want,to,leave it in one place for an extended,period of time it is small enough to be,movable it has a 716 watt,hour capacity that's basically how how,big the batteries are inside of it,and it has a 700 watt inverter so on the,front here,on the front here are the four four ac,outlets and those are backed by a 700,watt,inverter that peaks at 1 400 watts,so a lot of times when you first start,up an electronic appliance,for example when you first turn it on,it'll it'll surge,it'll have a peak amount of watts that,it draws le

have your rv batteries left you in the,dark,well let me shine some light on how,we've added more power to rv,in this episode of travels with delaney,welcome back everyone my name's patrick,and if this is your first time here at,travels with delaney,welcome we're your channel all about,rving and living life to the fullest,we have over 15 years of experience,doing this thing we love called,rving and we just try to share some of,what we've learned over the years with,you so in this episode i want to talk,about a device that we recently,purchased to give us,more power for both our trailer and here,at home,so a lot of times we're not staying in,campgrounds that have electricity which,means,we have to run our trailer off of our,batteries so,for those of you not familiar with our,setup we currently are in a 2020 lance,model number 1985,we have two battleborn lithium batteries,100 amp hours apiece,we're using a 2000 watt xantrex inverter,slash battery charger and we have 380,watts of solar,on top but there are times where we're,worried that we may,burn through those 200 amp hours before,we can get,either enough sun to charge the,batteries back up or get somewhere to,charge them up,through electrical power and i wanted,some type of backup so,let's head in to the trailer and i'll,show you exactly what we bought,this is our blue eddie ac200p,now these are called different things,i've heard them called,battery packs i've heard them called,solar powered,generators and before you head to the,comment section to tell me patrick,that's not a generator well,not in the traditional sense there's no,gasoline and there's no engine on board,but in many ways it does act like a,generator in the sense that,it does have a system to give you power,just like a generator would and it has a,way to recharge it and keep the energy,flowing and we'll talk about different,ways to recharge or put energy,into this so there are several brands,out there that you can choose from,our friends russ and carrie over at nail,in the foot,on facebook has the goal zero yeti 1500,x that they use all the time in their,little guy max and they absolutely love,it,uh our friend randy from randy's,adventures has a,jackery and jackery makes a great,product but ultimately i decided to go,with this blue eddy now,there are several reasons why i decided,to go but i think one of the main,reasons was the fact,that this particular unit is 2 000 watt,hours of lithium iron phosphate which is,basically the same type of battery that,our battleborn batteries are,and this unit has a 2 000,watt pure sine wave inverter built right,into it,it will do 2000 running watts and,it will peak i've heard at over 4 000,watts so,this will power a lot of things and i,really like the capacity,and the size of the inverter which is,why i went with it now let's get through,some of the quick specs on this thing,this weighs in at a whopping 60 pounds,so it's not lightweight,but i do like the design because they,did put two nice grab ha
