i've had some pretty good success with,neocaridina shrimp tanks now i've never,actually set up a specific breeding tank,just for the neos so in this video,that's what i'm going to do,so currently i have actually got quite a,few tanks running that i've got quite a,few neocaridina shrimp you know like i,said i've had medium success i feel like,i could have really good success though,my water parameters straight from the,tap apart from chlorine and that sort of,thing obviously are actually really well,suited for neocaridinas like for,instance this tank here so this was one,i set up just as plant storage and then,one day i just put a load of neos in,like for instance there's one there now,i recently took quite a few out because,i set up another tank i put lots of them,in,ecosystem no filter bowl,and this right here is that tank this,one's got loads of neocaridinas in loads,of tiny little babies and that are,rescued well not rescued but took out of,another escape when i created this and i,it's so good we can't see them at the,moment but there there is a lot in there,i mean there's one down there and well i,can't see them right now i've got,there's one yeah there's loads anyway so,yeah and those kind of setups like the,bowl i don't do anything specific i,don't over feed it or under feed it or,feed it at all i just let them do their,own thing but what i actually want to do,is set up something that i'm monitoring,every day feeding tube you know that,sort of thing that the proper style,shrimp tanks so yeah going back to this,tank i really like the size of it it,worked so well it's a 60 centimeter so,two foot by one foot by one foot works,great i'm keeping that one as it is,though because i still use that for,plants every now and again just plonking,them in taking them out for new setups,but right here is my amazon aquarium,absolutely love it set it up like a year,ago now and underneath well not that,version there was a version before,similar sort of theme though year ago,but yeah and underneath had a plant,storage tank this one here which was,also set up so that's been running for a,year the filter's not running at the,moment that's all off because it went a,bit wrong but the substrate is very very,mature now i'm going to use a substrate,i'm going to use the tank don't want a,black background on it though so where's,it going to go so behind us here is the,racking system i'm going to take out two,of these rack cubes here that aren't,being used these two are we've got fry,in that one apistogramma fry hello,buddies there we go you can see him,yeah apistogram fire and in this,absolute monstrosity there are two,bristol nose plecos there's a male and,female really big one so i'm going to,keep those two probably put them either,side the other two tanks aren't being,used at all i never really used them so,i might as well take them down and use,the space,so what i'm going to do now is scoop out,all oh there's quite a few snails in,here i'm going to pick them all u

we're going to go down and we're going,to torque a number of different,fasteners in a number of different ways,so you can see the difference so i'm,just going to describe each one really,quickly,and then we'll go from there,hey guys welcome back to the jpm,performance channel,today we're gonna talk about,fasteners,um,nuts lock washers nylocks jet nuts and,loctite,what's the difference,what works the best and which,application would you use,um each one in,so let's get into it i'll show you what,we've got going on,okay so what i've done here,is i've taken a regular steel plate this,is about 3 16,thick,and i have simply tack welded,a bunch of 5 16 bolts,onto the back of it and this is kind of,what we're going to use as our,test bed,so i'm just going to clamp it down in,the vise here,so you can see we've got one two three,four five six seven eight,different bolts there oh i had,flat,um just regular nuts,on each one snugged up,when i welded them on the back so that,they're each,flush,and square to the plate so we know that,we all of the bolts coming through are,straight,and so here's what i thought we'd do,we're going to go down and we're going,to torque a number of different,fasteners in a number of different ways,so you can see the difference so i'm,just going to describe each one really,quickly,and then we'll go from there so these,are all 5 16 fine thread,our first one is simply a regular,nut grade 5,nothing special nut,we'll stick that one on there,our next one,is,a grade 5 nut,and our standard steel lock washer,like everybody knows about,roll that one on there,our third one is a combination,of a flat washer,and a lock washer and then a regular nut,as well,why would you use a flat washer,the reason that you would use a flat,washer would be to spread the load,on some materials that are thinner,uh whether it's aluminum or whether it's,oh look at that that's a coarse nut,total failure,um if it's aluminum or if it's,fiberglass,or lexan,you can use a flat washer to spread the,load,because what a lock washer will do is,bite into that material and you wouldn't,necessarily want to,bite into,aluminum or fiberglass or carbon fiber,or carbon kevlar or whatever,okay,next,we're going to continue our theme with a,flat washer,but this time we're going to use a,nylock what's a nylock,you can see that it has a nylon insert,in there,that is,unused and so they put this top around,these nuts with a little nylon insert,and i cannot spin this down when it gets,to the nylon insert,i'm stuck,so i'm going to have to put this down,with a ratchet,okay let's move on to the next one,the next one is what's called a jet nut,what is a jet nut,well it's much more prevalent in the,aircraft industry,this particular nut has,a flange built into it,and also utilizes a smaller socket to to,install it but the reason it's a jet nut,is because it's been crimped on both,sides,this is actually,an a-n washer,the difference between a standard washer,and an a-n washer is that an an washer,fit

hello everybody and welcome to the,secret history living inside of your,aquarium my aquarium aquariums,everywhere so now this one may seem,simple its Guppies right but I'm just,gonna take you through how I've bred two,recent lines of Guppies how you can take,a line that someone else's hard work and,totally screw it up no I mean I mean fix,it up or change it making alterations,and interesting little adjustments to,the colors the shapes and lots of other,aspects of these fish,so really with end leurs and Guppies,you've got whatever mix you're gonna be,making with how much and learn how much,guppy it will be so that's one factor,then you've got your male and female,sexual dimorphism so that's if your,males and females are gonna look,different at all so for what we're,talking about here today I want to show,you my newest strain that I've been,working on and here it is it is a blue,Japanese leer tail which just means,split tail or two sword tail double,sword tail and blue body with bright,blazing yellow Forks in the tail and,then leopard print spots in other spots,in the tail with a little bit of,turquoise or purple depending on the,individual and the ones that are not,quite making the cut or that are a,little bit below par there's a couple in,here that need to be moved and,reshuffled but like here's a great,example of what I'm going for with the,spots I like this bright yellow color on,this fellow here with the blue body and,then here is,a ultimate goal for the other half kind,of it because usually you don't get all,one type and so you you pick a couple,predominant features and kind of go with,it but this guy if I can get him to come,back into focus he has a purple leer,tail here and yellow and purple on it,with then a beautiful blue body now I,also have the generation before him,which is in a more wild based endler,crossed with a Japanese blue and it has,more red and other colors in it green,pink red I don't know if you guys can,see that super well here but you see the,blue and the red and all the different,colors so what I was trying to do was,get more endler features out of these,fish here's my here's my star right here,in the center if we could get him to,focus because of course they won't stand,still they think I equal food this guy,has a purple / lavender color that I've,never seen in in endler / Guppies in,general it's a very nice periwinkle,color on that tail and then his top thin,also known as the dorsal fin has a,beautiful leopard spot pattern / snake,skin pattern so if we could get him and,this fella here with the yellow and,purple tail and then the other half of,the the group to also go off this way,into two different strains eventually,that would make me very happy and we'll,have to call out the ones that look like,this guy who's got you know just a bunch,of colors going on so just like you,would assume you pick the ones that have,the best coloration now in Guppies,orange and red happen to be dominant,colors so they directly correlate in
