How to use the Shopify POS with Bloom | Applying Discounts
in,this training video we're going to learn,how to give different types of discounts,to different types of customers,in order to give a discount you first,need to add items to your cart so go,ahead and add one bottle of the shannon,blanc,and one bottle of the pinot noir,now,we can find the discount tile,if it has been added by your pos,administrator,that tile is called apply discount,we can tap the apply discount tile,which provides an interface for three,different types of discounts that we can,apply,first would be,an amount on the order for instance if,we wanted to give ten dollars off we,could just type in ten dollars,a percentage based discount,which,if we wanted to give say twenty percent,off we can just type in twenty percent,and then also a discount code if you,know a discount code,or if there's a recently used code in,this list here,then you could use a discount code,let's go ahead and try the discount,percentage,we're going to give a 20 off so we'll,type 20 percent,and we'll just give this a title,of,wine discount,save,now you can see that the shopify pos has,provided an order level discount of,twelve dollars and forty cents,which equals twenty percent off,now let's say we wanted to not have an,order level discount and instead have a,line item level discount so we only want,to discount,the pinot noir and not the shenan,block what we can do is we can tap the,discount,in the cart,we can click clear discount,that's going to clear the discount from,the cart,then we can tap on the product that we,want to give a line item discount to,the product detail view comes up,where if we want to we can change the,quantity,but we also have the ability to apply a,discount to the item,we'll tap that tile,and again let's do a twenty percent,discount,and we'll call it line discount,again,click the save,button,and now you can see,that the 2018 pinot noir has been,discounted 20,and the price has been reduced from,thirty eight dollars to thirty dollars,and forty cents,now let's say you wanna clear this,discount,you would again tap on the product,you would tap on the discount,and you would click clear discount again,and save,and save,that takes us back to the cart where all,of the items are full price and nothing,has been discounted,the next way that you could provide a,discount,is using,discount tiles that have been set up,specifically for certain types of,discounts,in this case the administrator of this,pos system has created a new page in the,smart grid with three different,discounts,one is a twenty percent off for vips,one is a twenty percent off club,discount and another is a thirty percent,off a case discount,the twenty percent and thirty percent,off are for founders club members only,so they have to be a club member,the way that you use these types of,discounts is first you need to add the,customer to the cart,because,these are club member discounts and of,course club members are customers,i'm going to go ahead and search for the,customer kevin bowers aga

let's talk about getting started and,setting the foundation for your flower,business,getting your website set up on wordpress,hey flower fam welcome back to another,video,on my youtube channel you're in exactly,the right place if you're a floral,designer or a flower lover who is on a,mission to build a profitable,business i've had some experience on not,wordpress websites and i'm not gonna lie,it's made me love wordpress even more i,have built my fair share of websites and,we built our own website for our flower,business there are so many different,website platforms out there but there,are so many reasons that i love,wordpress,mostly,because of the customizability,of it the seo capabilities of wordpress,but also once you get past this first,hurdle,you're not going to be paying the,exorbitant,in my opinion,hosting fees and,platform fees or with like service fees,that a lot of the other website,platforms charge you like i look at some,of those costs and i was like i would so,much rather right if i've got 2 000 or 5,000 instead of it going to just monthly,hosting,can i please have it for a person to,help me that is so much the way i would,rather do it i know one of the biggest,turn-offs from using wordpress is that,it feels very much like you have to have,a developer involved you need to have,some tech webmasters which is where,certainly from a positioning point of,view like the shopify and the,squarespaces are coming in and saying,like we're going to do all that for you,we're here to make it really easy except,then you run into all of the,customization requirements on shopify,and squarespace and wix and you start,paying hundreds if not thousands of,dollars in a month just because you need,some very specific plugins or some very,specific widgets or some very specific,add-ons in terms of some of those,platforms because when it comes to,selling flowers online when it comes to,setting up a website for floral,designers there's some very specific,requirements that we need that a lot of,the other website platforms are totally,going to make you pay monthly service,fees for so one of the biggest reasons i,love wordpress is that it's so,customizable in terms of what you can,add onto it and so many of the plugins,don't cost you anything so here we go,let's get into my four steps to getting,yourself sorted on wordpress number one,you need to make sure you have bought,your url and then you also need to make,sure that you have bought hosting so,these are things that usually a lot of,the other website platforms will say is,included in your monthly fee but from a,wordpress point of view you do need to,pay for these separately so i recommend,and i have been using ventra ip they,were originally an australian based,company,i think they're still based in australia,but they will serve clients all around,the world their customer service is,phenomenal so we don't have a tech,person on our team i just ask all of my,dumb questions to the people at venture,ip i've deleted m

what's up everyone edwin anthony here,again back at it with another video and,in this video we're going to learn about,out of the sandboxes flex theme,so if you guys are brand new to my,channel what i do every so often is that,i talk about theme setups everything,related to shopify so if you like this,type of content please make sure that,you go into the subscribe demolish that,subscription and also don't forget to,turn on that notification bell so that,you'll be one of the first ones to know,when we come out with these videos,so again uh going over this what are we,talking about we're going to help you,guys install,flex and we're going to follow a,specific theme before this let's talk,about the company here real quick just a,quick introduction so the folks at out,of the sandbox are one of the first,pioneers of building themes for shopify,right and the theme that we're going to,talk about is one of their most highly,and probably one of the most expensive,themes that they have out of everything,if you guys check out my channel um i,also have one that talks about turbo so,make sure that you guys watch that uh so,if you guys you know want to make sure,that you like the style on how i teach,and all that stuff go go ahead and check,out that video first if you want to and,if you're already used to my style we're,just going to dive right into it so out,of the sandbox one of the top theme,developers they've created this theme,called flex and of course if you're,interested in getting started on this,i'll leave a link down at the,description so you guys could go ahead,and purchase a theme and then just,follow along but let's look at this as,towards what it has to offer so as of,today october 26th,we noticed that flex is now part of,store 2.0 so they just recently updated,their theme and it's called flex 3.0,that offers shopify's operating system,2.0 which is very good it's like really,really good i love store 2.0 because,they just have everything and they load,pretty quickly and so far so good based,on the experience,uh so reason why flex because flex has a,very nice interface that it allows your,store to look more than one way,you don't have to go very heavily on,investing with developers etc and you,could switch up your store to look many,different ways that's why flex,is a very good investment,and take a look at all these styles,you'll see all of these demos look there,is a lot of demos and as you can see,some of them kind of look the same but,you could see the difference as to how,your website could look like right not,just one way so we have like the menu,horizontal system and then we have this,other way where it has this vertical,interface which is nice,so if you're planning on having multiple,businesses or if you really need a theme,that's just very very flexible when it,comes to the type of niche take a look,at flex flex is definitely a very good,investment from a very powerful theme,development company which is out of the,sandbox,the one that we'r

How To Use Bloom Shortcodes
in this tutorial I'm going to show you,how to use bloom shortcodes now what a,shortcode is is a little piece of code,that you can copy and paste into a post,or page right into the wordpress post,editor to display specific opt-in form,this means you have full control over,where that form appears within the post,now short codes only apply to two,different opt-in types in bloom and that,is the locked content opt-in and the,inline opt-in now whenever you create,one of these two different types of,opt-in forms you're going to get a,shortcode they can use to display that,form anywhere on your website so here,I'm in my opt-in management tab and you,see I have an opt-in that I've created,here a locked content opt-in you'll see,that this often has a has a different,button here this is the shortcode button,you'll notice my other opt-ins a lot of,them don't have it that's because shrug,codes only apply to locked content and,inline opt-in forms and so if I and if I,were to press this icon here I'm gonna,get a pop-up and it's gonna tell me,exactly what that shortcode is that I,need to use to display that opt-in form,on my website so I would just copy and,paste that shortcode into any poster,page and the opt-in form is going to,appear now like I said this only applies,to locked content and inline opt-in form,so if I were to create a new inline,opt-in form I'm gonna do that now I'm,not gonna go into all the different,design settings and stuff we have,different tutorials that go over design,settings and account creation so I'm,just going to go through this pretty,quickly here and then name my form I'm,going to select my mailing list account,and select the list I'd like to use for,this form then I move on to the design,options and select my pre-made template,and then I'm gonna go over to the design,customization settings in here I can,adjust the design let me preview it here,and you know it looks pretty good so I'm,not gonna change any settings I think it,looks great the way it is but you're,free to you know customize all these,settings and like I said go check out,the design customization tutorial for,more about that I'm just going to focus,on the shortcode aspect in this in this,tutorial so after you've you've finished,designing your inline opt-in you're,gonna see a button here at the end,called generate shortcode and if you,click this it's going to give,you the Sroka that you need to display,that opt-in form so if I were to copy,and paste often this shortcode into a,post it's gonna display the opt-in form,that I just created and unlike you know,the the pop-up opt-in and the below the,post opt-in there's no display settings,tab in this opt-in creation process,that's because we're not choosing where,to display this opt-in form within the,opt-in creation process our choice that,display the opt-in is our choice to copy,and paste that shortcode into a post so,that's where we're actually you know,controlling where the opt-in appears,it's where we put that shortcode

in today's video i'm just going to be,going over some of the next steps that,i'm taking in building my shopify store,for selling low content books welcome to,my channel my name is caroline and if,you've been following along i have,recently done a couple of videos where,i'm building a shopify store to sell low,content books on just to give a really,quick background on this i,sell low content books on amazon kdp and,last year my account was accidentally,deleted and although i did get it back,it made me think about,having multiple streams of income and,not relying just on one platform just in,case just in case the worst happens,where for whatever reason,i or we cannot sell on amazon kdp,anymore so i've decided to set up a,standalone online store so i'm not going,to have,the,platform of kdp which already has,built-in customers for me to promote my,books to i'm going to be creating my own,shopify store where i'm going to have to,find customers myself but i'm excited,and i'm looking forward to the challenge,so so far i have done videos where i,show,setting up the shopify store and just,doing that back end admin,area setup,and then,my last video was how to connect shopify,to lulu which is the print on demand,supplier that i'm going to be using to,create and ship my low content books,and so now i'm just going to be doing,some customizing i installed my theme in,the last video too i used the debutify,theme just the free version,and so we're just going to go over,what i'm going to be doing to customize,the store,and,what i want it to look like so i have,basically already created a logo and i,just wanted to go for,sort of like a red romantic type of font,type of,theme color branding that sort of thing,in terms of a logo i generally just like,font logos i don't like anything too,complicated and anything that distracts,from,the name of the store i just personally,think you should just have your logo,very clear on what your store's called,so as to not confuse anybody about where,they are and so i've never used this,theme before,so i am sort of just finding my way,as i go and trying to figure out where,everything is,for,all the stuff that i want to,customize so i just head over to the app,which opens up in a new window so the,debutify theme is under the apps,section of shopify and then we can go to,theme library,just noticed there is an update,available so i'm just going to do that,first okay so i've updated the theme so,now i've got the most current version,and i've just clicked on the theme i've,just installed and i'm just going to,start customizing it now there's some,parts of this video i may not talk over,i might just record my screen and you,can watch what i'm doing because,like i say i haven't actually used this,thing before so i'm just going to be,doing a lot of clicking around trying to,figure out where everything is and try,to change the things i want to change,if i do anything and i'm not talking,about it as i'm doing it and you want to,ask me any qu

hello everyone and welcome in today's,live show we are going to be,building an email list using on our,existing website so the idea with this,is to use bluem which is part of your,Divi membership -,on your websites to use that to build,your email list as well as that we are,also going to be using convertkit this,is the service the autoresponder service,that I recommend because it is very very,good in fact I may even go into a bit of,detail and discuss why convertkit is is,brilliant for this job now there are,other obviously other email,autoresponders like MailChimp and,what's the other one there's also,the name is sister gone now it's quite,crazy let me just do a quick Google and,see,which one it is,this is MailChimp and Aweber that's the,one Aweber right so those are the most,like popular ones so but convertkit I,mean in fact I've used both of these,MailChimp and also Aweber but the reason,why I really like convertkit is because,it doesn't have any duplicates so what,normally happens is when you build your,list these companies normally charge you,based on how large your subscribers are,so let's say you have 5,000 subscribers,there'll be a price for that and then,when you go to seven thousand,subscribers there'll also be a price for,that so with convertkit what they do is,they don't have duplications so let's,say one person subscribes to two,different options they're not counted as,to their content is one which is,brilliant because it's good for you,obviously your pockets but when you when,you use like MailChimp or Aweber those,contacts are duplicated so very fast if,you have two or three opt-ins you mean,it can become very very expensive easily,right so that's the main reason why you,converted but there are also other,reasons which you know fantastic so all,around convertkit ticks all the boxes,and it is very easy to use the second,thing as well is bloom now bloom if,you're already a an elegant elegant,themes member this comes in by default,in your membership all you have to do is,to go in and download it and install it,on your on your website so,why should you build an email list,that's the the main question why now I'm,gonna share with you three reasons and,also a story of what happened recently,and why you should build your own email,list so the number one reason why you,need to build your own email list is,control so having full control of your,subscribers and and how you communicate,with them is one of the main reasons why,you want to do that because think about,it if you have all your subscribers say,on YouTube as we are right now or on,Facebook what could happen is when they,change the rules or you get banned all,that goes with the platform you're left,with nothing so if you build your own,emails and something happens then you,have the opportunity to communicate with,your subscribers the second reason is,promoting your products and services now,when it comes to if you're running a,small business or you're an entrepreneur,it's always advis

hi guys so in the screen recording I'll,show you how to copy the blog post,content and obviously organize it from,WordPress to to Shopify so here in,Shopify you have to click an online star,and then click on blog posts below and,then to add a new blog post you just,click on this button add a blog post and,then you've got the title field and the,butterfield,so obviously it would all be blog,content here so I'm going to copy the,title from here and then paste it here,then select visible so the blog was,visible and obviously copy first,paragraph I like to paste within their,code so all the all the styling code is,not moved to to the e to the new site,okay and now I'll just add paragraph,coach stands fresh so obviously it,follows your theme styling so the same,font won't be applied for the same fun,from WordPress or styling won't be,applied to to your Shopify side but it,will it will follow the default styling,so now add in image so I already saved,this image to my computer I'm going to,put the pointer here and click on the,insert image icon then upload file and,find this image I think that's almost,first then select it then specify the,the size I think because it,full width we can definitely go for,either ground or or this one,and then obviously image out alt text so,you can I just put I'll just put the,title of the blog post as an alt tag is,leakin you can set it and so it,describes a each image and then click,insert image and what I like to do is,highlight this image again click on this,icon again and then make sure that the a,line is in the middle and that there is,comfortable border at the top and the,bottom so the text doesn't doesn't,display directly up or you know by the,image and then the second the second,paragraph I'm going to copy and paste,and the image so scroll down below or,rather go to the code through the code,and to start this paragraph paste,okay that's how it looks and then the,third image below this is anything this,is the what is going archive because the,image is quite white and then insert a,second image upload file and then select,little images again the same way so alt,tag deal with the same as the previous,one,and then highlights again click on this,image icon and then put the middle,Center layout 25 top and bottom bars and,then click on edit image and then add,the last part the last paragraph below,this image copy and paste within source,code okay and this is the close in,person imagine semi-truck down so the,last image this one,the person in question cry and then make,sure to change the layout of the image,up powders as well talking button 25 is,sufficient so this is that you can I,think I'm not sure how is the styling of,this blog was I'll just save it for now,but depending on the template of the,blog you can you should be able to,feature this image a detail but,obviously dependent and like,thunderstruck so the featured image you,can add tags as well to talk to picket,occupying big book book book both lumber,us good Eng
