hey everybody sam webb here and i'm back,with part two of my shopify theme build,series,today we're going to build a simple hero,component for the home page,we're going to build it in a way that,will allow us to reuse a majority of the,code in the future,if we need to a bit of a disclaimer,i'm going to use background images for,this feature simply because it's easier,to work with,other options would be multiple image,elements for mobile and desktop,one image element using source set,property,or the picture element with multiple,source elements,all these are viable strategies and,depending on your needs you can go with,any of these,but today we're going to use background,so let's get started,before we start building anything,there's a few housekeeping things we,need to take care of,so the first thing is we need to add git,and we can do that easily by adding get,in it,and so the next thing we're going to do,is we're going to say get add,and i just put dot for all that's going,to add everything,and i'm going to put gst it's going to,show me everything that's staged for,commit,git commit dash m for message because,you have to give your commit messages,or your commits need a message,and i'll just call this initial commit,clear that and now we're ready to start,building,so the first thing i want to do,something i haven't added to this,workflow but we'll be coming in a future,update,if you go on a source and you go into,liquid,and templates and index,usually you would want this tag to be in,here,right content for index which is what,allows you to use dynamic sections on,the home page,and this is just something that i forgot,to put in when i was initially building,this workflow so,if you're using this in the future it,might it should have this,but i would just check this file just in,case you've grabbed it before,the update was made so next we can close,that out,we're not gonna need this file anymore,and,shrink down templates just so you don't,have to see all those files,and we're gonna be using we're gonna be,creating three files,so we're gonna have a section a snippet,and we're gonna have some css to go,along with that,so let me create those files now in,sections i'm gonna make a new file,hero liquid in snippets we're going to,do the same thing a new file hero,dot liquid,and then in styles in components,we're going to add a file underscore,hero.scss then within theme.scss,we're going to replace this this example,with hero,save that,and we can keep open here but we don't,need theme anymore,and so these are the three files we're,going to be working in,so to start us off i'm going to go into,hero.liquid,and i'm going to say render,hero and what this is going to do it's,going to pull in,this hero snippet into this file,and then what i'm going to do to start,off is i'm going to build everything,in hero and then i'm going to move it,over,or i'm going to build everything in the,snippet and i'm going to move it over to,the hero,and make it editable so let's st

today's video is about the biggest and,boldest update in shopify's history,ever this update is actually an,extremely good news to anyone who uses,shopify,because it allows us much more,flexibility and it gives us the ability,to customize our stores way,better and easier than before hi there i,am rehab and on this youtube channel i,share with you videos related to,e-commerce entrepreneurship and more,and today's video is about shopify,online store 2.0,and how you can use this update to,enhance your store and make it look,better,this video is a step-by-step tutorial on,how to use this new update,and how you can profit from it but,before jumping to my pc to start working,on this new update,i just need to tell you that up until,now not everyone has,this new update available on their,stores also it's very important to know,that all shopify themes will be updated,in order to be compatible with this new,upgrade of shopify,so just wait for it and soon it will be,live on your store,to be able to use this update you must,choose the new theme provided by shopify,and it's called on,and it's a very friendly user theme we,are going to use it right now,but you have to know that all of your,themes will be updated in order to be,compatible with this new upgrade from,shopify,so soon you will see a new update of,your theme and you will need to use it,in order to be able,to use the new shopify online store 2.0,update,so i'm here inside of my developer store,i have added some products,created some collections in order to,show you how you can use this new update,so the first visual upgrade you will be,able to see,is the difference in the theme editor,it's a big deal because,if you were using this before you will,notice the difference so here i am,inside of the home page and we are used,to the idea that home pages,are usually highly customizable,depending on the theme you are using but,usually on all themes the home page is,highly customizable you can add sections,you can add images,text whatever you want and usually you,can do a lot on this page,however this case doesn't apply to other,pages,so before this upgrade we were able to,modify the home page,as much as we want but we weren't able,to modify the product pages a lot or the,collection pages a lot,and now we are able to do that i'm going,to talk about product pages and how you,will be able to customize them now,but first let's start by taking a small,tour around,the new shopify editor dashboard and see,how things are now way different,so here i am inside of the home page and,these are the default sections,provided by the theme if i go in here,here i start to see the difference okay,this is not,this is not how things used to look,inside of the editor,so first if i scroll up this is the,first section i'm changing i'm,changing the image banner so i can add,heading,i can add buttons and i can also add a,text,sure here this is my limitation i can,add only three elements okay,so let me go to buttons for example to,see i

What's The Best Highest Converting Shopify Theme? (Shopify Dropshipping & More) 2022

what's going on everyone and in today's,video i'm going to talk about what's the,best high converting shopify theme,so many people ask me what theme they,should use or what's the best theme to,use,to get high conversion and much more,now there is no single best theme that,everyone should use because each store,is different and depends what features,you want and need,first i want to talk about these,so-called themes that claim to be high,converting,or the best like they beautify booster,shoptimize and much,much more that do similar things to,those after reviewing,hundreds of stores i can say that these,themes are not the best or high,converting,that they claim to be many people,message me or email me,saying they have conversion rates,between one to two percent,or below and they want me to review,their stores,and a good portion of them are using,debutify,i guess most of them listen to these,other drop shipping guru channels,and like uh they recommend they beautify,because,uh most of the times they just put their,commission links,into the in their descriptions and they,get commission off those,from their affiliate links the themes,that i mentioned have so many useless,features like fake scarcity,fake urgency with countdown timers,shaking at the carts like this one,ex visitors are viewing the product fake,stock message someone,purchased x minutes ago the pop-up,on the left side uh payment trust badges,on under at the car and so much more,all these things are not high converting,in 2021,they used to work but they just make,your store look like the typical,aliexpress dropship store,you don't see major brands you use these,useless features,so why should you on top of that themes,like debutify make you pay,for simple features like showing,delivery time on product pages,faq tabs or tabs in general color,swatches and much more,to get all these you have to be on the,starter plan,which is 19 a month which is a rip off,it on itself,and but these things should be coming,with the themes,um already by default like you see right,here,delivery time faq uh,and other features like this but people,will still use it because their favorite,drop shipping guru tells everyone to use,it,now i'm not saying debutify is a bad,thing but it's not great,i'm sure some people who are using it,are getting high conversion rates and,much more,but from talking to hundreds of people,and a good portion,of them are using the theme they don't,see,great results so that's why i just don't,recommend it,and for the point in the title of this,video there is no single or best high,converting theme like i said before,it's all about how you customize,optimize and dial in,the theme according to your store so,by default so many themes are not,optimized to actually convert customers,because these themes were made by,regular developers that,don't understand or very little about,conversion rate optimization,or how to actually convert customers as,best as possible,you can actually use the simple free,d

Facebook Ads Targeting 2021

let's face it apple's new ios update has,really messed up some facebook,advertising you really can't target your,audience that's already been to your,site,but there's a way around it so in this,video we're going to talk about,how you can still retarget your audience,and capture those warm leads,okay so if you've missed it just a brief,recap apple ios,14 just released as a new update and it,now,gives people permission or the ability,to allow apps,the permission to track them or not so,of course once you allow people,and ask them if they have permission to,be tracked everyone's going to just say,no,um that's kind of what we all thought,was going to happen and it has happened,so now you can't actually do a lot of,the retargeting that you used to do with,your facebook pixel on your shopify,store,so because of that it's really kind of,made it harder to target,more of your warm leads so it means that,ad costs are going up and you're not,able to see as many analytics in your,facebook,dashboard which really sucks because,it's harder to tell if your ads,performing well or not,so while we can't really do too much,about the analytics inside of facebook,we can make sure that we're still,targeting a warm audience so you can't,target people specifically that went to,your website anymore just because it's,not really collecting a lot of that data,because people opt it out,and if you want to hear more about that,ios update by the way you can,click on the info cards above i made a,whole video about that but i don't want,to talk about the issue i'm going to,talk about the solution,so the solution for this is to actually,target people on the platform itself,so you can do different custom audiences,that are based on how people,are interacting with your brand on,social media,so you can target people based on their,engagement with your facebook page,or your instagram page and my favorite,how much,of a video that they've watched so if,you were uploading videos to your,facebook or instagram page,you can actually then target people,based on how much of a video that,they've watched so you could say,show this ad and create this audience,for anyone that has watched 50,or more of this video so that can be,really helpful because you know then,that you're getting people to be,very targeted if they've already watched,at least 50,of a video that you've uploaded to your,social media accounts then you know,they're probably most likely your ideal,customer,there may be interest in your product,and they're a little bit more of a warm,lead,so it would be great then to actually,show them an additional ad,maybe for the product specifically that,you're selling and,linking into your product page on your,website,so to set this up we are going to go to,the audiences area of our facebook ads,manager which you can get there by,clicking on the menu bar here,and clicking on audiences once you're on,this page just click on,create audience and custom audience,here you can see all of the different,
