hey guys,happiness here welcome back to my,channel and in today's tutorial i am,going to be showing you guys how to,customize a simple shopify theme from,shopify so let's go on our left hand,side and click online store,and after clicking that let's click,themes and it will take us straight on,our theme page as you can see currently,our current theme is john theme and,basically we want to start customizing,a simple shopify theme so i have a video,that i showed exactly how to customize i,don't theme from scratch i'll show you,on that video i'm showing you step by,step on how to customize adonai so if,you are interested make sure to go and,check that out i will link it up i will,link up that video somewhere up here,so on this tutorial i'm going to show,you how to customize freedom let's,scroll all the way down on the freezing,sections so we can go and look for free,themes so let's click explore free,themes,and this page will take us straight,where all the free themes in shopify,store are available as you can see there,is a dawn theme there is brooklyn theme,and other many other themes so i have,another tutorial with,brooklyn theme so if you want to check,it out how to customize a broken theme,you can watch the video as well,let's so let's click simple theme,because this is the theme that we are,going to customize and this thing comes,in three styles there is a light there,is also a toy which you can,create your toys so,and also there is a beauty a beauty,theme and this if you have like a beauty,shop so i'm just gonna use the light,theme style and then let's click add to,themes and this will take us back to the,shopify,page and it's gonna load here it's gonna,take a little bit of time,so,after it finished loading click actions,here,now we just added a simple theme now,let's add this let's click action,and then click,publish so we can publish this theme as,our current name because so far our,current theme is down and now we just,changed our name to simple them so this,is how you can add,a theme to your shopify store so now,let's go ahead and click action so we,can preview so click action and then,preview,and this is how the simple themes is,actually looks like this is like a,homepage here,and you can see there are featured,collections and there are,some of the products and if you scroll,down you'll find more products,and on the left hand side you will find,there is a home and catalog,as well as contact sections,and down here these are the links you,can put your links about us shipping,policy,your refund policy etc,and then here there are payments icon so,your customer can see what kind of,payments method are you offering in your,stores okay now let's go back to our,shopify page,and now let's go and start customizing,uh,the click customize,click customize and this is our page,this is where we can add a header slide,bar,and stuff like that so on our header,section here this is where we're going,to add our logo by,clicking select image here and then once

bonjour bonjour so in this video i'm,going to show you how you can add your,own custom options to a shopify product,page to any shopify product page it's,pretty simple we already made a video,about this but it was for the debut team,so now we're making an updated video for,the dawn team and actually with this,video i partnered with hey carson they,specialize in small jobs just like this,so if you have any issues reach out to,them they'll do it for a small fee and,they kind of help me with the code here,because that was running short in time,so anyway let's just jump straight into,it all right so we are on our back end,here and the first thing we're going to,do is we're going to go to online store,and themes obviously because that's what,we will be modifying i still have my,debut team live here but i have a,updated copy of the dawn team because,you know i'm i'm jigging with it it's 20,22. you need to get that dawn team okay,so the first thing we're going to do we,are going to duplicate this,the reason why is we're going to be,playing inside the code and if you make,an error inside of it you can't really,revert it or it's pretty hard well if,you have a duplicate version you just,delete the version where you have an,error on i still see in the comments,people that skip this step and you're in,big trouble when that happens,so make sure to do a copy that way you,can mess up the copy as much as you want,while this is loading it's important to,know that i actually partnered with hey,carson for this video they specialize in,small jobs which we don't do at our,agency and so if you're running into any,issues you can reach out to them and for,a small fee they will actually help you,set up your product options if for some,reason this wouldn't work you can also,ask comments um ask in the comments,below ask comments in the comments below,just ask in the comments below and you,know,maybe other shopify people will help you,out or if i have some time i'll be glad,to answer any questions this is taking,longer than i expected you'll find the,entire code and the link down below so,in case you just don't want to you know,type you can just go to the link down,below okay so once we have that,duplicate we are going to go to,customize and we are going to create a,second product template the reason is,you know you might not want your,customer product options to be on every,single product page,your necklace that you're selling might,have custom engravers so you need those,custom product options on there but you,know the shoes that you sell don't so,you want to keep that on the regular,template that you currently have,and with don we can actually just create,a template directly in the customizer,which is kind of kind of cool so in,order to create that new template we're,just gonna go to the home page right,here,and we're gonna go to products and then,there's going to be an option to create,a new template and we're gonna name this,custom,custom that way we have um our custom

hi everyone this is tim from milehi,themes.com in this video i'm going to,show you briefly how to create custom,page and product templates using our,themes,this functionality is supported in any,of our theme versions that support,online store 2.0,in this case we're looking at the,showtime theme but the same principles,will apply to any of our themes,so we're looking at the home page right,now,but if i click on this customer support,page this is an example of a custom page,template that we've used created in the,theme,we've got a banner up here with some,icons with text we've got an faq section,and we've got a contact us form that's,just an example of a landing page you,could create using the new sections,everywhere,so let's jump into a dev version of our,theme,and show you how that's done,so i'm going to go ahead and customize,our theme,and you'll see this drop down menu at,the top where we can quickly navigate to,pages or products,in this case i'm going to go to a page,and you'll see that there are a few page,templates that are included with the,theme here by default,as well as some that i've also created,for other videos,so if i click on the default page this,shows me what just a regular page in the,theme will look like,it's basically just got the content that,you've added in the rich text editor in,shopify,if i win if i wanted to i could go ahead,and add additional sections to this,template,but if i did that and saved then every,page that's using the default template,would also have the same sections with,the same content,that's not necessarily what you want to,do unless you want to have the same,sections and content with the same,images and text on every page,so a better thing to do would be,to click pages and create a template,we'll just call this custom three,and we can base it on different pages,depending on how we want the layout to,be so if we've already created a custom,page template that has sections that we,want to reuse but instead of having all,the same images and text,we use,unique content for each one then we can,base it on that in this case i'm going,to keep it based on the default page and,create a template,so now we're previewing this custom,three page template that i've created,it's not assigned to any pages yet and,we're previewing the about us page,now what we're previewing the page,doesn't really matter because we have to,set,the template that we're going to use for,each page,on the page settings itself,so for now it doesn't really matter what,page we're using in this case we've got,a few options for your heading and,regular page content over here depending,on your theme settings,we can go ahead and add sections to this,page now,and populate them just like we would,anything else and then save,so we've created our custom page,template and now we just need to assign,a page to it so to do that we can exit,out of the customizer,go to online store pages,and choose any page,so we've got this custom page that i've,used for another

hey everyone yang here codingwithyen.com,and today we're going to have a look at,shopify meta fields sometimes also,called custom fields really important,stuff because they basically allow us to,store additional information for,products orders or other important,objects and especially in the context of,online store 2.0 there were some,significant changes you need to know,about so let's have a look,all right so starting this video off,let's quickly talk about why we need,meta fields in the first place and why,they are so important,and i assume you all know how to create,products in shopify you just go to the,admin dashboard or products and when you,add a new one,the editor is pretty straightforward you,just enter a title a description,you can upload a few images set the,price,or add a bit of further information like,the stock keeping unit and so forth and,we could say this editor is quite good,because it works with most products and,i mean that's what it's designed for but,there are also certain instances where,you want to display additional details,in this example it could be the,headphones sensitivity the charging,current the voltage the battery type and,so forth and then you wouldn't find,suitable input fields here or let me,also give another example,if someone was in the food industry or,maybe selling supplements they would,want to enter nutrition values like,calories sugar the different vitamins,and then you wouldn't find suitable,input fields in here as well,and then you could create meta fields to,store that additional information so,that's what they are mainly used for,okay now in the past the only way to,create meta fields though was by using,apps or some hacky workarounds and now,shopify actually released a native,feature that also integrates very well,with the new theme architecture that we,talked about in my last video and that's,what i want to show you today,okay so first i want to show you some of,the new customizer features and as you,can see i currently have the dawn theme,installed a theme built on the 2.0,architecture that's very important and,then let's just visit the customizer,and bring up one of the product pages,so i have this collection right here,with three different headphones uh let's,just bring up the first one,and now i want to add a bit of the meta,information or additional information,that i just mentioned something like,sensitivity,voltage and charging current,and then we could create,a new block element right here,and let's use one of these collapsible,tabs,down here,and then we could just name that details,and paste some of the details right here,i already have them in my clipboard,so sensitivity 110 decibels voltage and,recharging current,let's give it a save for now,okay now we can find these values on the,front end so sensitivity voltage and,recharging current and the only problem,is that these values are now hard coded,or let's say constant across all the,product pages,let me even show you that,so,here we have

in today's video we are turning,shopify's free theme refresh into a,general drop shipping store a big reason,why general stores lose conversions is,that customers coming from social media,such as tick tock can't find the product,that they saw in a video they get,overwhelmed by the disorganization and,the number of products they see and they,leave this redesign is going to take the,overwhelm out and drive conversions by,focusing on organizing and highlighting,the products they are looking for this,redesign is very intentional about the,customer experience on both desktop and,mobile,before we get into the video if you like,videos about winning products drop,shipping shopify themes apps and,tutorials do us a favor and hit that,subscribe button and turn notifications,on now let's get into the video the,products are the star of the theme so,that is where we're going to start even,if you already have all of your products,added don't skip this part of the video,because what i show you now is a vital,part in how i set up the rest of the,store,for my products i have these lists that,i created for our channel all i have to,do is copy and paste the aliexpress link,to the import app it's really simple,if you want these lists as well click,the join button to become a channel,member you'll get access to all of our,past list and also get early access to,ones for future videos that haven't been,posted yet,when your products have been added we,need to organize them into categories,this is absolutely essential for how we,set up the rest of the theme and also,not having things organized could cost,you conversions,someone who sees the product on tick,tock for example is going to go to your,store and check the home page check your,categories and or use the search to find,the product they saw if it can't be,found you will lose that sale so it's,super important to keep things organized,so go through each one of your products,and under product organization select a,type for each one,shopify has already come up with all the,categories so all you need to do is,select the correct one,copy that text then what you're going to,do is go to collections,create a new collection,and paste it in the title,then set the collection type to,automated with the settings as product,type is equal to,and then paste that same title in the,box,if that doesn't work for you meaning no,products are appearing underneath the,category,go back to your product and paste that,same text under tags then go back to,your category and set it as product tag,is equal to and paste the text in the,box,i experienced this issue myself so i,created a test product to troubleshoot,and the product type setting worked when,i manually created the product so that,tells me it may have something to do,with the app and shopify not,communicating properly when the products,are imported the next thing you need to,do is go through and rename your product,titles and edit your descriptions and,variants,i know i know but if you

hey claus here ecommerce business coach,in this video i'm going to,show you a shopify theme called e-com,solid relatively new just found it,i want to dive into it and show you the,advantages so let's get started,so this is the page of ecom solid i,found this theme just recently while,looking for a new theme and,checking out and comparing themes for my,clients,so econ solid um is actually for free as,you can see here,and i installed it on my shopify partner,store,just to check it out and was surprised,how good it is now while i was testing,it i,saw that actually it has been developed,by,pages gem pages which is a very well,known,drag and drop page builder for shopify,so there you are starting or came,from building landing pages for shopify,and um out of that they started building,their own theme,which is now called e-com solid so,basically what you do is,um you go on the ecomsolid.com website,enter your shopify url,remember that's your store url not your,domain that you're,using for your clients and then you,download it and it will connect um to,your store,and once you have installed it in your,store again it's free,then um you can go here under online,online store and then start,building um the store,the way you like it so basically you go,here and go into customize,you see the theme is installed here and,it will open,the editor of um,ecom solid so we,go here and then you go here back to,ecom solid and what's happening there,that's different,to the normal editor it will take you,out of shopify as you can see here,and open its own editor,which is basically connected to your,store so it's a,bit of a different way on how you do it,normally,but you will see it's actually quite,easy um to edit much much easier than,anything you can do,in shopify with shopify liquid and so on,and so forth,now i want to show you the demo store,that i have set up quickly,just let me find this link there we are,so i haven't done,a hero image here but i have changed a,couple of things in the header,i have changed sort of the,parts elements on the home,page so that's basically how it looks,now so it's already,the one that i have done that has been,changed and,if i go for instance in the card page,i've done,some pages there um,changes there let's see this is quite,empty,let me just go back and continue,shopping so there we have,a collection page and then we go on the,product page that's what i wanted to,show you,um also i have changed a couple of,things,here so now that whole changing from the,standard template,took me about 20 minutes which was like,lightning fast,now i want to show you how that actually,looks in the editor,so if you go here into the,theme editor then you will see,different um pages just let me load this,for a second,now the edit has loaded and you can see,up here on which page i,am so basically now i'm editing the home,page if you want to change to one of the,other pages you just,take this drop down and go into product,pages and then you will see,it will l
