hello today we're going to have we look,at the export of pro export features so,to access the export functionality in,the exporter you must select a sheet or,view you can select one or multiple,sheets or views and then just click the,export button on the ribbon the export,dialog will pop up then and you've got,several tabs where you can export to,different file types,DW f DW FX DWG DXF PDF IFC drafting,views and dgn for sheets if you've,selected a 3d view you also get nwc and,FBX to export a sheet to a DWF set up,your page size just like you would and,Revit normally and this goes with all,whether export file formats that are,typically sheet based say a1 landscape,it could be zoomed to fit a hundred,percent or fit the page choose your,hidden line removal whether it's vector,or not any kind of graphic setting for,compressed raster formats whether you,want to hide unreferenced tags or place,halftone with thin lines any kind of,other additional settings like export,room data you can bind you can combine,multiple sheets into a single DWF by,ticking the combine button there and,down the bottom it's important to select,the export format that you want whether,it's a plain DWF or whether it's a DW F,X or both you can also publish to an FTP,site down here by ticking publish to FTP,site and that,export the files and publish them to an,FTP site you must set up the FTP,configuration including the host the,username password whether the transfer,mode is active or passive and whether,you want to keep replace rename the,remote files or not clicking the test,button there will test whether the FTP,details are correct or not any kind of,export configurations for each file,format can be saved you can save just,the active one or you can save them all,by ticking the save all and if you want,to retrieve any saved configurations any,of these kind of settings that you use,frequently you can load them from a file,the configuration settings also include,the folder naming and whether you want,to use any kind of filter or parameter,codes and the creation of folder names,and you can set the export folders to be,the same for all export file types as,well so if you've got multiple ones,selected like PDF and DWF you can send,the files that have been created to the,same folder by ticking this export,folder for all file types,choosing the folder just click on the,folder icon browse to where you would,like the files to go say DWF and if you,would like them to go into a,subdirectory based on the current date,or any other kind of parameters in the,project file just add another slash and,choose the file format codes here and we,can do somethings like date and we can,add the date in there and you can see,that the date is present the date format,is configured here so if you wanted in,reverse order maybe it's something like,that you can change,the reverse order naming the files you,can type in a name say test you can,include underscores brackets will sorts,of little things that you might

Xporter PRO 2015 Scheduled Tasks

hello welcome to the artificials,exporter pro for river 2015 today we're,going to look at how to create a,scheduled task within the exporter,schedule tasks so useful for exporting,and printing drawing sheets and views,from rivet without even being at the,rivet workstation itself you can set,their scheduled task up to run on a,daily nightly weekly monthly process and,that can going the the exporter will go,and open the revit file open the,selected sheets or views and carry out,the appropriate saved batch processes on,those views and sheets so to create a,scheduled task click the task scheduler,and that will open up the the fly out,for the task scheduler and down the,bottom you can create a scheduled task,edit an existing scheduled task or,delete a scheduled task the task,scheduler within the exporter uses the,windows task scheduler and your computer,must be left on for the tasks to run,autonomously so a create a scheduled,task by clicking on the create scheduled,task icon I can put in a name I,scheduled task and I'm just going to set,this one to run at a one-time basis but,you could do it daily weekly monthly,very handy for creating those nwc files,that need to be issued every week or,every other week or maybe it's a,fortnightly print to PDF or a nightly,print to PDF there's some people even,use this process to create nightly DWG,backgrounds for consultants to share,to set up the email settings if you want,the exporter to email you when it's,completed the scheduled task simply,complete the smtp server settings you,may need to get these off IT complete,fill in those completed username and,password and the exportable e-mail you,when the scheduled task has finished you,can tick once the settings have set up,tick email notification and it's will,email you automatically there's also an,option to automatically close any rivet,dialogues that pop up this is handy you,don't want your scheduled task to be,waiting for you to click ok if a dialog,box has popped up on it unexpectedly you,need to define the rivet application,that you want to start upon the,scheduled task itself simply click on,the application here find the the river,application that you would like to to,use i'm going to use river 2015 so i'm,just going to grab that one there's also,an option to do some post processing,tasks maybe you have a batch file that,you would like to execute after the,scheduled tasks within rivet have been,executed itself to create a scheduled,task you must have already saved a batch,file that you would like to process and,I'm going to use the one from a previous,tutorial and I'm just going to load that,batch file in the spatch file is set to,create pdfs nwc files and ifc files you,can load more than one batch file as,part of the scheduled task so you may,have multiple reddit files that you,would like to access and create nwc,files from every night and you can load,these all learn and,the scheduled task at an instance and,I'm just going to set the time i'm going,to set t

Xporter PRO 2015 Batch Processing

hello,welcome to the rtv tools exporter pro,batch processing tutorial so batch,processing,in the rtv tools exporter allows you to,process multiple sheets and views with,different,configurations whereby allowing you to,print some sheets to a printer as well,as creating pdfs,of those sheets or dwfs,and at the same time creating exported,views to,navisworks or ifc so to go about,creating,these kind of sheet setups and,configurations that we need we need to,go and create,the batch processing export,or print configurations so i'm going to,create some export configurations for,pdf i've got some pdf settings already,set up from the previous tutorial on,creating pdfs and i'm going to save,this uh export configuration for,reuse and the batch processing so,i've got my settings i'm just going to,double check everything looks good,save that and i'm going to call that,export to pdf,and i'm just going to click cancel,because i don't want to export,these sheets to pdf just yet we'll do,this as part of the,batch process and under the views i'm,just going to select a,nwc view and i'm going to set up my,export configuration so i'm going to,export that with shared coordinates,i'm going to export all the elements um,i could choose to convert the link files,there are no link files in here,and i could divide the file into levels,i'm going to choose my export folder for,my,nwc's i'm going to place them in there,and i'm going to add a date parameter,to that and i'm going to change the,the naming format here i'm going to set,that to,rtv tools nwc,and i'm not going to replace any,characters there,and i'm just going to take on the nwc,and save that as my export to,nwc,wc,now that i've created some export,formats i can load the sheets that i'd,like to,export to pdf just by selecting them and,using the arrows here to,load in the sheets and views,so i have my nwc selected my sheets,selected and by,selecting the views tab i've loaded my,3d view my nwc and my,sheets if there's a sheet that i don't,want or a view i don't want,i can unload that by selecting,the opposite arrow key and i can unload,that,i can also use the view sets any saved,view sets for both sheets and views can,be used to,populate the sheet list and if the,sheet list or view list is a commonly,used list and you want to save that for,reuse you can save the view list or the,sheet list,out to a file by clicking on the save,sheet list,my sheets and then you can use that,saved sheet list to restore for,future batch processes if it's a common,one,i can also load a filter in,i'm going to load a filter to export,my ifc so i'm just going to set up,my export to ifc and save that,so under my ifc i'm going to,save that out as a default standard,space boundaries yes okay,i'm just going to save that as an ifc,file,and again i'm going to save that into a,separate folder,ifc and i will add the date in there,and i'm just going to call that ifc,i'm going to save that configuration,export to ifc,and i'm going to use a previously s

hello,my name is fabrice and i will present,you,one of our tools used to,export some visual foxpro code,to xsharp the tool is simply called,vfp exporter the application we will use,as a sample is a,very simple foxpro application we have a,free table,customers with different fields,we have a form customers too,there with for example some text box,and some elements that are linked to,the database for example with the,control source,property and with,using the different buttons you can move,and,you can see in the code that we're,moving,from the beginning to the the last,item from the database,using that and okay if we run the,application,this is something very uh usual,so we can go uh forward backward to the,top,back etc and,so this is our application,that we will use all the files are,stored in the same,folder and we also have a library,with two items a cursor and a text box,that is include in the project,now let's go and run our vfp exporter,application,so from there we can we have some,settings we can set,the default folder where we will find,vfp files and we can also set the,default file for exportation,what we can do is export,a library for example so,simply we will choose the,corresponding library file,and in that part of the window we can,have some small analysis for debugging,purpose,so we can see that we have for example,two items,uh in this library,and and then we can export,the element from the library,to our folder,so if we go to our folder we can see,that we have a folder with the name,of the library which is there and inside,we will have one prg file,pair item that we can find in the,the library the original library,so we can also have a look at the source,that has been,uh exported um if for example,uh i use the the notepad uh,in order to to have a look at the at the,code,we can see that our cursor class,has been exported,to a kind of dotnet,xbase language which is x-sharp,very similar to what we have in uh in vf,p we have our class that inherit from a,vfp cursor which is an external file but,we will talk about it,a little bit later and we also find all,the properties,used to initialize the cursor okay,so now we might want to,export a form so that's the same process,we go to the folder select the form we,can,analyze the content of the form if we,want in order to check it for example,so we have the data environment and,the cursor that is attached to the,window and,several controls on the form we can,export,and again in our folder we will have a,new folder,which is has the name of the form and,two files,one content the the user defined,code event handlers and so on and the,other one contains,the code that defined the window that we,can,uh that will be used in the designer in,uh,in visual studio okay so,in order to see exactly how everything,works,let's try now to export a project,so uh let's go to the folder select the,the project file and then,the process is the same we can check how,many forms or,library we only have one form,in the pr

RTV Xxporter - Revisions Feature

hello everyone and welcome to today's,video tutorial in which I will walk you,through how to use the RTP exporter plug,in to help you work with and manage your,revisions in Revit one thing to note,before we get started is that our TV,exporter added the revisions feature in,2015 so we have a project that is still,in 2014 this feature will not be,available to you so let's go ahead and,get started them as you can see this,project currently has a couple of,different revisions already on it on,this sheet there is a revision bubble,that is set to be on the sheet itself,and moving around right there the other,revision is in the view itself it,doesn't matter how you guys place the,bubbles if you place it via sheet or be,of use it will still show up on the,revision schedule it's merely a matter,of preference so however your project,manager likes to do them is how you,should proceed with that so now if we go,to the very top you see that there is a,tab that's our TV tools RGB tools used,to just be under the add-in tab but now,it has its own tab in 2015 i believe and,we have here a couple different options,we have the option do current view,current sheet or just views we're not,working with that we're gonna go ahead,and work with both and so I've just,click on icon it will bring up it'll,bring up all the options as you can see,once i do that it opens up the dialog,for our TV exporter we see all of our,sheets that are in this project it's,only five of them and we see that um,that i won't i want to put them in sheet,number or someone do that any toggle it,alters there but you can see that a one,has ever vision its revision number to,it we obviously we know that it has two,revisions but it isn't only going to,show you the most current revision on,here but there is a way to pull out our,revision data and this is only available,in 2016 and anywhere so 2015 does not,have this other option that about to,show you and that option is you can go,up here to revision attic cloud so I'm,sorry revision cloud data so if you go,up here you select on that guy and it's,going to pull up this new dialog box,that shows you all the revision clouds,in your project,currently we have three different clouds,in the project two of them are on chie,one and the other one is on of you it's,02 floor view it doesn't have a sheet so,it doesn't it's not going to show up in,sheet number or sheet name but the other,two are on a sheet so does show that,information and it shows you all the,clouds so the good thing about this is,that you can actually pull all those,data out of this project into an excel,sheet and that you can just do by the,bottom left hand corner there's an,export button and then you can just say,this out to excel file and all that,information then you would then have,available to you the other thing is that,if so let's say that's too much,information it's just information,overload you can go ahead and do a,filter on this and and you know filter,this out like you would normally in

hello my name is max Drake I'd like to,talk to you today about a little tool in,Revit that isn't used that often where,it will create images and put them into,an HTML file this is handy to actually,load up a lot of your information on,till say a website so that a lot of,people can get access to your,information so this is handy from a,point of view of the facilities,management so here we have a 3d drawing,and we've got a whole lot of plants with,information on floor area walls and,things like that with the cupboard,detail and some other information that,we've got so what I can do inside Revit,is to go in and use the export tool to,images and animation and go to images so,here we select some views and we're,going to not bother with the views we're,just going to check all of the sheets so,we have all of the cheat sheets,collected as the drawing set and we go,okay we are now going to create a,browsable website with linked HTML price,I would say yes please one of those and,I normally fit it to about 750 pixels,you don't have to you know choice what,it'll work for you,everything goes through and generates,them now imputing is doing that is done,it right now if we go into the site,where it's actually generated them,you'll see there's an index for HTML,file so we're just going to click on,that HTML file and it pulls up that,drawing sheet so if we go into the,sheets we've got all of the sheets in,that format now if we just zoom into,this sheet here and zoom in you'll,actually see the quality of text is very,very poor but that's fine because what I,actually do and I'll give you a,demonstration of a site I just want to,point out here on this P I PI R squared,don't take a side here I actually go,through the process of how to do it,there so there's a backstop process,showing some of the information of that,if we just go to us,site I actually have the chic views in,here and if you see it split the webpage,into two zones this zone on the left and,that zone on the right what I also do is,I create a set of PDFs so that I can,actually pick a particular one and let's,just go for the room door schedules,because the interesting thing about the,room door schedules if we just go,download that now and we just open it,just you'll see because it's a PDF now,you get the text as clear as what you,want so what this does is it's abled for,you to quickly scan through the images,because the image sizes are very small,and you can then choose the document,that you actually need here's some,anything well which room is it are,that's the room that I wanted this one's,actually just got plans and stuff so,it's not that but if you actually had,lots of different rooms you can choose,which room you wanted and then download,that specific drawing so then one like,that floor plan if we just go to floor,plan this book just click on that again,floor plan there we go to the PDF and we,just say download me flatland and then,we could do that,so if we look back at the original,document they're o

Xporter PRO 2015 Filters

hello weird today we're going to look at,the filter functionality within the RTV,exporter Pro forever 2015 so filters,within the heart of the exporter can be,created a couple of different ways you,can simply type into the headers and,create a filter on the fly or you can,dynamically build it by choosing the,Edit filter and add the filter and you,can choose parameters that you want out,of the the file begins with Sam apply,okay and that creates the filters that,way as well clearing the filter you can,just click Edit filter and just remove,the filter as you like I find it's,easier to create the filters directly,within the column headers it's a little,bit more intuitive a little bit easier,once filters have been created these can,be saved to a file so that's useful for,the batch processing and scheduled tasks,so if I wanted to create a filter to,look for ifc files or nwc files and my,views could be just as easy as typing in,nwc save the filter in WC maybe I'll do,that views use for nwc for our,Navisworks views and maybe IFC and I can,save that out as views for ifc this time,now if I want to load any filters that,have been saved or recorded I can simply,go load the filter and choose say nwc,for my never smokes once and that'll,load the filter back into the art of the,drawing manager and from here I can,simply export,nwc to an nwc file set up the,constraints the file formats that I,would like to use and export that to an,nwc I can also use the save to filters,in the batch processing over here by,loading the sheet or the view filter,from a file and that will enable me to,then set up batch processes to export,nwc files across multiple rabbit files,that's about all there is for view,filters or sheet filters within the,exporter hopefully the short two,tutorials being useful stop back for,more tutorials
