hey guys and welcome back to let's talk,books today I am going to be filming a,book tag I haven't done a book fact in a,long time I normally they're not my,favorite things to do but since fall is,officially here I figured it's the best,time to do a fall themed book tag one,that I will be doing today is finally,fall book tag this is originally created,by tall tales so I will leave her video,down below I have my pumpkin spice latte,here and I am ready to do this book tag,so let's go here is the first question,in fall the air is crisp and clear name,a book with a vivid setting I knew,exactly which book to pick for this new,world rising by Jennifer Wilson this is,one of the praises that I gave this book,was how she wrote in how she described,the scenery in this book it's such a,gritty and dark world and the way she,just tried the smell of him the way that,it looked and colors and she describes,things so so well in this book and,that's why I knew I had to pick it,especially since it's like a fall themed,video this is a great like dark book to,read especially for why a it's just it's,a great story nature is beautiful but,also dying name a book that is,beautifully written but also deals with,a heavy topic like loss or grief another,pick a white book that isn't very,well-known that is what you left behind,by Jessica Verdi this is a story about a,young father who would the mother of his,child passed away from cancer and what,was interesting about this book was that,he had to learn how to become a father,and everything that went along with it,and it was nice to kind of see this,almost like teenage boy turned into a,man and seeing his progress learning how,to parent but also dealing with the,grief of a girlfriend and not knowing,just how to raise a child on your own,especially at that age was definitely a,profound read something I highly,recommend you pick up question three,fall is back-to-school season share a,nonfiction book that taught you,something new okay so I'll have anything,for this because any non-fiction books,that I read for school I didn't really,care for or it was so long ago that I,don't even remember how I felt when I,read it so if I could do like this,poetry count like poetry it's kind of,like nonfiction if you think about it,especially a book like milk and honey,why I learned from this book is so many,so many things dealing with the,hardships of just being a female in,today's world but also being a Indian,woman and just the things that she had,to go through because of her culture and,help people view her she's everything,that she just went went through in her,life I definitely learned a lot question,number four in order to keep warm it's,good to spend time with people we love,name a fictional family household friend,group that you'd like to be part of,anything that is like fall related,holiday related or just family dynamic I,always always result to this book and,it's the hottest thing right now so you,can probably guess what it is but tha

this is a video that i've been both so,excited to do and i've also been,procrastinating because it's just a lot,hello my lovers welcome back to another,video i'm ashley and today i'm going to,be telling you all about my all-time,favorite books,i did this video a few years ago but i,wanted to do an updated version because,i have found some new favorites since,then and i was also looking for a video,that i could do around my birthday i,always want to do a video that's like,more upbeat celebratory kind of,i don't know i try and make it relevant,but i never quite managed to do it,entirely but the day that you're,watching this will be the day after my,birthday so i figured why not share some,love with some of my favorites now this,isn't every single book that i've rated,five stars these are the ones that,automatically spring to mind if you ask,me about my favorites and so we are,going to go through them all grab a cup,of tea or some coffee or whatever,beverage you so desire and let's talk,about some really good books,i am just sat,in a pile of books right now,uh and i'm just gonna grab it random but,i am going to start with the obvious,ones because i know you're all expecting,it by now i should probably also mention,that i have only chosen one book per,author because there are certain authors,who are my favorite authors i've rated,five stars like everything they've ever,written well actually is that true,that's actually not true i don't think,i've ever given an author five stars all,around interesting anyway,i am sure that you guys will know what,the very first book on this list is,going to be say it with me everybody,the bone season by samantha shannon this,is my brand this is my life this is my,legacy this is everything to be dramatic,all right i have been raving and,shouting and pushing this book onto,everybody before i even had a channel,it's been a while and i have just been,obsessed with this book since day one i,just adore it so this book is the first,book in a kind of dystopian,fantasy-esque paranormal sci-fi elements,it's a series that crosses many genres,but this is set in a world where,clairvoyance exists but being,clairvoyant is illegal our main,character paige is a clairvoyant and one,day she is caught taken to a prison but,when she gets there she realizes that,things aren't quite what they see very,vague synopsis i say this every time,it's because once you reach that point,everything just explodes open into a,massive epic scale and it's incredible,and i don't want to ruin it for anybody,so i adore this book i know the series,it blows my mind i love that we have,underground crime syndicates that gives,this series a kind of gritty edge,because everything's a little bit brutal,there's a lot of supernatural mystery,going on there's darker hedemia vibes,but not because of the academia element,just more like the aesthetic because,it's set in a alternative history in,which things didn't really past a,certain point in terms of style this has,one
