Earlier this year Amazon doubled the speed of Prime shipping from,two days to one.,And the faster speed is now available on more than 10 million products.,Prime one-day is basically going to A) keep up with the brick and mortar,guys and B) enhance Prime.,Amazon has changed the game completely.,So what they excel at is getting an object from a creator to a consumer as,flawlessly as they can and as quickly as they can.,So Amazon is changing people's expectations and they're perpetually,improving those expectations.,But behind every Amazon box there are lots of people hustling and a lot of,money spent to get it to you in just one day.,Here's what happens when you buy a Prime eligible item on Amazon.com.,Amazon spends tens of billions on shipping every year.,In just the last quarter of 2018, Amazon's shipping costs jumped,23%, reaching a record $9 billion.,So why is it worth it?,Well customers come to expect consistent fast delivery of anything on earth,from Amazon.,And our job is to continue to make that happen.,And Amazon set aside $800 million just in the second quarter of 2019 to,start making one-day shipping the norm.,Most of that investment is going towards the infrastructure and,transportation costs associated with speeding up delivery to the millions,of Prime customers who are about to begin to experience one-day as the new,normal.,The difference with e-commerce is the costs never end.,The pick, pack and ship happens every time a unit is sent out.,To better control this process and its large cost, Amazon is cutting down,its reliance on UPS and the U.S.,Postal Service and is investing heavily in its own logistics network.,It now handles the shipping for 26% of online orders.,Amazon now has at least 50 airplanes, 300 semi-trucks, 20,000 delivery,vans and it operates ocean freight services between the U.S.,and China.,Amazon is looking to do it all.,That shouldn't be much of a surprise.,The only thing that matters to Amazon is making sure the customer is happy,and is paying for Prime every year or every month.,What that means is sometimes you can rely on partners but you want to make,sure that you have it in your pocket if that's not the case.,Other big retailers are also spending a lot to keep up with the fast,shipping expectations Amazon has created.,Walmart is rolling out free next-day shipping with orders of 35 dollars or,more starting today.,And target offers free two-day shipping on orders over 35 dollars.,And during Amazon's big Prime Day sales event July 15th and 16th, eBay,plans to hold a crash sale offering 80% off big ticket items.,Amazon's 25 years old.,The reality is that's a really short time to be around to have become the,number one player.,So can anyone compete? Okay?,So, let's say you call, you know what you want. All right? And you say: "I'd like to,order please." So, the person asks you: "Pick-up or delivery?" That means: do you want the,food delivered to your home, or are you going to go there and pick up the food from the,restaurant? Okay? So: -"I'd like to order please." -"Pick-up or delivery?" Let's say,you want it delivered, so you say: "Delivery.",So, if you want it to be delivered, the person's going to ask you some more questions. For,example: "What's your address?" So you say: -"66 Fleet Street, Apartment 4." -"What's,your phone number?" You give your phone number. -"647-2164." -"What's your buzzer code?" Okay?,Now, what's a buzzer code? In many North American buildings, as part of the security system,,you can't get into the building by just walking in. There's usually a security door which,can only be unlocked by the residents from upstairs. All right? And the buzzer code does,not... Is a separate number from the apartment number. This is an added layer of security,so that nobody can know exactly how to get inside, and so on, and they won't know which,apartment you live in. So, a buzzer code is a number that is given to you so that you,answer it in your apartment and you can let somebody inside to... It's not long sentences because nobody has time, also.,They're usually very busy at these places. So they just ask you basic questions, so you,give basic answers. hi everyone Jason from iron fence shop,you finally found the iron or aluminum,fence of your dreams and pulled the,trigger on order now the next step in,the process is going to be properly,prepared for taking delivery of your,order so today I wanted to give an,overview in terms of how your order,ships what to be prepared for when it,arrives and some do's and don'ts to be,aware of along the way let's go ahead,and start with what happens after your,order leaves our warehouse in order,leaves our warehouse we'll go ahead and,email you the following information the,trucking company bringing it to you the,local terminal phone number we'll be,delivering from and you're tracking a,before the shipment,now while the trucking company should,give you a phone call to schedule a day,for delivery we actually recommend you,preemptively calling it to set it up,just to be safe next let's go ahead and,take a look at how your orders in a,deliverer,if you've never taken delivery of a,larger outdoor item like a fence it's a,little bit different than when you order,something like say a refrigerator or a,pouch it will be delivered on a semi,however the delivery will occur at the,bottom of your driveway so the truck,will park on the street and that's where,the unloading is gonna occur now that,you know what your orders gonna look,like let's go through the process of,taking delivery now while the driver,typically will help offload your pieces,they're not required so for that reason,we do state you should have at least two,able-bodied people so what will happen,if the driver will go through their,cutback the protective shrink-wrap,leaving the wrapper on they're from the,factory you'll take your individual,pieces off one by one now as you go it's,important that you do count the early,pieces to make sure they match your,invoice that we sent you don't use the,count on the drivers bill lading make,sure you use in the count of the invoice,now as you're offloading your pieces you,don't need to cut all the packaging back,to the actual bare piece however if you,do see any kind of torn packaging then,pieces you hear something loose rattling,around there I do recommend you open,that one up fully to just make an,inspection of it now if you do find any,damaged pieces be sure to set them aside,from the rest of your shipment and keep,offloaded you do have any damaged pieces,do not send them back with a driver we,want you to hold on to them for the next,step in the process here so let's say,you've gone ahead and finished off,loading your whole load and you have one,damaged fence panel now what we do here,is going to be very crucial going,forward because we want to try and help,with the freight claim process as much,as possible,when you finish your delivery the,drivers gonna ask you to sign a bill,late it's gonna be a small piece of,paper then you're gonna have a driver,take a copy of and you're gonna take a,copy of basically by signing that you're,saying that you receive the shipment and,

or you can make a you know a lot of,money on a particular day,hey mark so i i want to um kind of,while we're talking about orders um you,know,we've we've heard of a lot from our,customers and even,just from uh me ordering delivery during,this time,um there's a lot of people who are,picking up orders for the very,very first time um what are some common,what are some common things you've seen,or you've gone through on your first few,orders,of maybe some issues or like,the actual like how do you walk through,as a first time person going into a,restaurant,uh picking up an order and overcoming,maybe some of the obstacles that,maybe the order's not ready yet and and,so on and so forth,sure so when you sign up and the first,time you,receive an order uh an assignment will,come through,your phone and this assignment will show,you it'll show you,uh the restaurant that you're going to,go to how many,items are in the order uh the customers,the customer's name and then ultimately,you know the number of miles it's going,to take,to drive you know both to the restaurant,and to the customer as well as,the minimum amount you're you're going,to be paid you,you might end up earning more than um,what's initially noted but it'll show,you,you know at the very least how much,you'll make on a particular order which,does vary,by tip amount and by you know sort of,the distance or the or the,amount of challenge to um to a,particular order so okay,when you receive this assignment you,have approximately 45 to 60 seconds to,either,uh accept the order and then move,forward,or you can decline it and you know and,then you remain idle until,you pick up the next one typically you,know,how you decide if you're going to accept,or decline an order,is if you feel it's worth your time and,again,the payouts on certain orders are um,you know they can they can vary quite a,bit and if you have a little bit of bit,of experience you can,you can kind of figure out okay it's you,know the total amount is four miles and,i'm going to a restaurant that i'm,familiar with,um so you know and i think it's going to,take me about,a half hour to complete it and so if,this order is gonna pay out ten dollars,i'm trying to earn you know twenty,dollars an hour gross,then you know i'll take it but there are,times when,you know the payout on a particular,order is is,noticeably bad and so you decline it and,you kind of go back into the pool,of you know of the,next order so real real quick,when for you when is an order,worth declining and when is it worth,accepting,right so you know again when i'm when,i'm dashing i typically,determine if i'm having a good day or a,bad day and this does,matter a little bit it's kind of like,housing all of the markets,are sort of individualized so you know,here in silicon valley and,in the san jose area um you know i want,to make,20 an hour gross on,you know when i'm out so um if i look at,an order,and i can determine you know,if an order is going to pay out you know,ten dollars a

what is up everybody rick dela rosa here,with fit chow happy new year we are so,excited because tomorrow we're sending,out our,local delivery and local pickup packages,and i wanted to show you guys what to,expect,in your bag,so you receive a bag just like you,normally have or you were picking it up,and inside the contents have been,improved as you will see,the containers will look,something like this,okay,now we're gonna have labels on the,bottom with all the nutritional facts,just like you're used to seeing however,the contents inside the container have,been vacuum sealed,those beautiful meals,vacuum sealed which means that that,freshness has been locked in for 10 to,14 days,and these are still microwave safe,containers so you can totally pop these,in the microwave for about two to three,minutes,and your,food is ready to eat enjoy and repeat so,in a minute i'm gonna take you over to,the microwave and i'm gonna show you,what to expect because the heating,process is a little bit different okay,guys so here we are i did pop one of,those meals into this microwave right,here i did put it for about three,minutes depends on your microwave might,be two three minutes but what you're,going to notice is that,the,ceiling the plastic ceiling on these,trays is going to start to lift up as,the meal gets hot um it is going to grow,quite a bit so you know,don't get scared,it is designed to release the air when,it gets a little too hot so it's not,going to pop in your microwave or,anything like that but it will start to,rise and once it does then that means,that the food is hot so you can go ahead,and take it out of the microwave and i'm,going to show you that in a few minutes,what that's going to look like and what,to expect all right so the food has,heated is actually in there for about,two and a half minutes and i'm gonna,show you what it looks like,all right so as you see the plastic has,lifted,and there's a tab here you can pull,and i'm gonna do that for you in a,minute,but um this is what you can expect,coming out of the microwave all right,guys so i did go ahead and peel back,that plastic this food smells amazing,look at that steaming delicious healthy,food,and this is basically uh ready to eat so,that's as easy as it is,and that's it guys it's that simple,you are ready to eat your first good,child meal of the year again happy new,year i thank you all for your love and,support we really do appreciate it i,hope that you contact us with any,feedback or questions you may have we're,here to help,thank you happy new year enjoy your week,enjoy your meals,i'm gonna eat this now because it smells,super delicious,but again thank you and have a great and,wonderful

wait what'd you say,it's here,no way,we can't talk about it yet we still,gotta talk about delivery,hey what's up youtube thank you so much,for being here it's been a little while,i've missed you i've got a lot of,updates for you my name is ryan jordan,welcome to mock enos the channel where,we talk about my experience,with buying a maki and today we're going,to be talking about your delivery date,what to expect and kind of what i went,through with my delivery date after i,got my production date i was super,excited,went to the website got the email,notification all that kind of stuff and,of course it was a ways out my last,video i kind of go through how to get,information about your production date,today we're going to talk about the,delivery but if you want more,information if you're still waiting on,your production day go watch that video,it'll be linked up right here and you,can get some tips on how you can get,your production date and get some more,information when my production date came,to the week that they gave me i got an,email from ford that said that my order,had been updated but when i went to the,website to check the status of,my car there was no updates on it it,took about four or five days before,finally the website reflected what the,email said and basically the email from,ford said hey your vehicle has been,built and it's going to be shipped to,you so if you're a little bit confused,calling people like how do i get,information on this when i call the,dealership they had no clue,i what i think is going on is that the,system automatically sends you an email,but it takes some time for the actual,back end to update when the vehicle has,been produced and now it's being moved,over into shipping so don't freak out if,you get the email and you're like what's,going on i don't know you call the,dealership i don't know wait about three,or four days maybe five days or so,and it should update and then you'll get,your delivery date so my car has been,built i'm excited i'm stoked i get the,email about when it'll be delivered and,i'm excited most of you are probably,thinking they sent an email out about,delays it's gonna be six weeks if you,order within a certain time frame the,email that they sent me my vehicle was,actually in the time frame of being,delayed six weeks so i was wondering,my delivery date is that going to be six,weeks after that does that include the,six weeks how does all that stuff work,well,my vehicle actually came in the week,before,their email told me that i was going to,get that vehicle,so i'm hoping that you get just as lucky,as i did with your vehicle being,delivered a week before um,when i got the email,of the dealership actually called me,that day in the morning saying the,vehicle was there so it updated really,really quickly i don't know if the,dealership actually does that update and,then of course they call or if it just,automatically updates um the other thing,that i've gotten questions about is is,the delivery date w
