💸 Skincare Haul #2 2022 • Niche Beauty Lab • Allies of Skin | @michxmash

hey everyone it's michelle in today's,video i'm going to be sharing with you,some skincare items i purchased during,my second skincare haul of this year,this one is actually technically the,third skincare haul so if you recalled,my last low by update video i talked,about how for the month of july i went,ahead and made a korean skincare haul on,yes style that order still has not come,in the mail yet whereas the third order,that i have came before it so even,though this is technically the third,haul,for youtube it's going to be the second,one just so i can showcase to you all,what i'm adding in my skincare,collection the first skincare haul video,i made was back in march of 2022 which,consisted of four french pharmacy skin,care products so this,third second haul that i'm about to show,you is also from a european brand out of,spain and it's called niche beauty lab,so this brand it reminds me a lot of dcm,back in canada so this is based in spain,niche beauty lab is the parent company,just like dcm and then it has child,companies catering to different beauty,needs so they were having a summer sale,up to 25 percent off so i went ahead and,made a purchase i originally wanted to,purchase only one of the serums in here,it's an azelaic acid serum at 15,but when i browse the site more just to,see like is there anything that i could,potentially use,in my skincare collection right away,that wouldn't impede me or make me,forget about other items in my,collection i found a few i actually,found one in particular for my husband,so having said that let's get right into,this unboxing so it has my name right,there and then,these are the four products that i,purchased so this brand right here it's,transparent lab it's the most affordable,one out of all the child brands that,they carry think of the ordinary but i,personally find the formulations are,just a little bit more interesting so,that is transparent lab and then these,three are from their more expensive,brand called theramid i find the price,point is similar to paula's choice and,the packaging also gives me paula's,choice vibes in terms of how they,color-coded each type of product and,just the font and everything,but anyways these are the four products,i purchased three are mostly,for me and then ones for my husband and,one is shared with my husband so let's,get right into this haul the first,product is the transparent lab pha soft,peeling cleanser so this contains five,percent gluconolactone and one percent,salicylic acid at a ph of less than four,so this is a chemical exfoliating,cleanser now back in my skincare empties,video i talked about how i was leaning,towards purchasing the geek and gorgeous,chemical exfoliant with pha and bha,because i wanted something for both my,face and body however when browsing the,niche beauty lab website during their,sale to pick up the azalea acid serum,that they have i noticed the pha soft,peeling cleanser i really liked again,the ph level the chemical exfoliants and,the form

THE BEST KOREAN SKIN CARE OF 2022 🏆 Dermatologist @DrDrayzday

well hey guys get excited in today's,video I'm going to be sharing with you,my top five Korean skincare products,from 2022. in 2021 I discovered a Korean,brand rovecton that I quickly fell in,love with and throughout 2022 I leaned,in heavily to a product that I,repurchased from them I liked it so much,the rovectin activating treatment lotion,this product is somewhere in between an,Essence and a toner super hydrating this,is wonderful for dry and oily skin it,has seven different forms of hyaluronic,acid a humectant that can help improve,the moisture content of the stratum,corneum ultimately that helps the top,layers of the skin smooth out and look,more even it diminishes Fine Lines by,Plumping up the skin with moisture now,some people do find that hyaluronic acid,actually ends up irritating their skin,so if that's you this is not going to be,the right product for you there are also,compounds from centella which you all,know from my videos have been shown to,actually be helpful for healing and,their antioxidants may help minimize is,oxidative stress in the skin now one,ingredient that I was a little bit,suspicious of worried that it may,irritate my skin but I did just fine,regardless is papaya fruit extract,papaya fruit extract it is a fruit,enzyme that may help with exfoliating,now fruit enzymes they can be irritating,to the skin so I was a little concerned,about that however I didn't have any,issues with any irritation I ended up,using this product a lot actually in the,spring and summer months it has caffeine,which is an antioxidant that can also,help diminish redness it has trehalose,which is wonderful for improving the,moisture content it's a humectant gives,things more of a viscous thick texture,it has niacinamide which is helpful for,redness hyperpigmentation and oily acne,prone skin as well as for improving the,health of the moisture barrier,ultimately that's going to help in,keeping irritating things out and,keeping moisture in this also has,compounds from licorice root which are,going to be helpful for calming down,redness and addressing hyperpigmentation,overall this product has continued to,impress me it really does deliver not,just a punch of hydration but it Smooths,out the skin tone and just leaves the,skin looking healthy glowy and radiant,to use this product you just take a dime,sized amount it is a liquid and apply it,to a clean face uh ideally while the,skin is a little bit damp say just after,rinsing cleanser off but you can use it,to a dry face if you wanted to as well,to just kind of perk everything up and,kick start hydration and moisture in the,morning it absorbs very quickly it's not,greasy but in contrast to many other,hydrating Essences and toners there is a,little bit of substance to this it has a,bit of viscosity to it I found that it,absorbed quickly and didn't leave any,residue or sticky tacky sensation to the,skin after it absorbed I was able to,apply sunscreen on once everything dried,with no issue with pilling I al

How to Reapply Sunscreen Over Makeup | Lab Muffin Beauty Science

hi it's michelle from lab muffin beauty science chemistry phd and sunscreen nerd,today i'm going to be talking about one of the questions i always get asked,about sunscreen you put it on in the morning and then,you put your makeup on top and then you're meant to reapply it every two,hours,so how are you meant to do this without messing up your makeup,and do you really need to reapply that often,so that's what we're talking about today if you like nerding out about beauty,you can click the thumbs up subscribe and click the notification bell so you,don't miss any videos why do we need to reapply sunscreen if,you look on your sunscreen packaging usually on the back it'll say something,like reapply every two hours the reason is,that sunscreen gets less effective over time,there are a few reasons for this firstly sunscreen comes off if you brush against,it with your hair your hands your clothes,less sunscreen means less protection the second reason is that when you first,apply sunscreen it forms an even continuous layer on,your skin but over time this layer becomes less and,less even it starts breaking up and clumping up,this is because of things like oil coming out of your skin any sweat,and also just moving your face around this isn't sunscreen but it's foundation,which is another product that's meant to stay on your skin for as long as,possible in an even layer so it uses a lot of the same,technologies you can see that it clumps up and moves around and migrates into,pores over time you can also see this on my video on,foundation clumping the sunscreen film also gets thinner,because it starts evaporating and absorbing into your skin,the last reason is the one that people mostly talk about,and that is some sunscreen filters get less effective over time as they absorb,more uv this is called photoinstability and it,only actually applies to some of the older chemical filters,sunscreens these days are usually formulated to be photostable,so they'll use some of the newer chemical filters that are photostable,or they'll use mineral filters or they'll use special,technologies that make the photo- unstable filters stable enough that,it's not really a big worry that means that they won't have this specific,problem but the first two issues still apply so,they still do get less effective over time so at the start,when you apply your sunscreen that's when your sunscreen is most effective,and then over time it gets less and less effective,but how much less are we talking about?,unfortunately there's not that much info on how long sunscreen lasts on your skin,if you aren't moving around that much i've only managed to find one study,directly on this topic 20 people applied sunscreen with a,special dye in it so that the researchers could photograph them every,two hours and track where that sunscreen went,they didn't use any other products on their face and they were allowed outside,for up to an hour here's a graph of what happened on,average after two hours there wa

hey guys welcome back to my channel so,today we will be trying out the purple,blush from strokes beauty lab if you,want to see how this product performs,and what it looks like on a morena then,please keep on watching,all right so as i have mentioned today,we will be trying out a purple blush,now i know that this has been a trend,since last year especially on tick tock,however it is my first time trying out,an actual purple blush and the blush,that i am talking about is the,crush blush in the shade fatale so this,is from strokes beauty lab it is a local,brand and so this is what the box looks,like,and as for the actual blush this is what,the packaging looks like as you can see,the packaging is very minimal very sleek,and,it's super classy so i totally love it,so i haven't actually tried this out i,didn't even swatch it,so,yeah so this is what the inside looks,like it looks super pretty super,promising,so before we try this out i'm going to,tell you about the product first,all right so this product retails for,378 pesos and it's also available in,other shades it is said to be,lightweight non-sticky blendable and,buildable,according to strokes this product,seamlessly blends into the skin and,gives off a natural look,it also contains aloe vera extract,coconut oil macadamia oil and sweet,almond oil,so with that said let's go ahead and,start swatching this,all right so let's go ahead and swatch,this on the back of my hand first,okay it is quite pigmented and,it's not greasy,so,oh that color is so nice,and this is what it looks like when,blended out,super pretty so okay let's go ahead and,try this on the face,all right so this is what the blush,looks like i absolutely love it it's so,unique it's so pretty,also,it really shows up on my skin tone as,i've mentioned i am a morena i have dark,or olive skin or brown skin whatever you,want to call it and it really shows up,to on my skin tone it's super pigmented,oh,i actually love this color i love the,formula and i can't wait to try the,others as i've mentioned this retails,for 378 pesos however i just checked and,they are currently on sale for 277 pesos,so i'm going to check out the other,colors and i'll probably do a swatch,video on,shorts and youtube shorts or my tik tok,instagram um and then,ayun so in terms of the formula the,formula is super creamy it's not greasy,at all and there is no grease in here,i know,but it's soft,but not the to the point,oh not like that um it's a very airy,formula a parshan air blush very similar,to,the and the person somewhere in between,detail cosmetics velvet flush and the,what they call it air blush by air blush,i think it's called air blush from,sunny's face it's somewhere in between,those two,details,greasy quantities,and very pigmented it's not sticky it,looks dewy i'm not wearing any,highlighter at all,it's super easy to blend,and a little goes a long way as you can,see,it's super pigmented but i only dip my,finger in once for each cheek and,this is where we are now,an

foreign,hi everyone welcome to the first episode,of Eco Cosmetics lab in this episode,we're going to be exploring the,biodiversity of the temperate rainforest,we live in and take a deep dive into,Western red cedar then back in the lab,we'll make a microbiome balancing toner,with Western red cedar hydrosol and,other moisturizing factors so let's get,started,before we go any further I would just,like to acknowledge that the lands we,currently reside on are the unseated,territories of the Coast Salish people,including the Squamish slave tooth and,musque,there's work being done to acknowledge,and repair damage in the past so that we,may move forward into the future as a,Melting Pot of different cultures that,makes this area so rich and diverse,while still honoring the First Nations,history and values,learning to coexist together not only as,humans,but with everything all the animals and,all the biodiversity in this temperate,rainforest that we call home,foreign,the Pacific Northwest has many,characteristic trees such as Western,Hemlock Sitka Spruce Douglas fir and,newtka Falls Cyprus today we'll be,focusing on the western red cedar,so the Western red cedar is the,provincial tree of British Columbia,its Latin name is thuya placeda comes,from the Greek thuan which refers to a,notiforous African tree whose resin was,used as incense and ceremonies,the specific name placada comes from the,Latin placard and it refers to the,overlapping scales of leaves which you,can see here,the leaves are shiny green on top and,have small white stripes on the,underside,to identify this tree you can look for,the cones which are small narrow oval,shape and cluster near the end of the,branch,they sit on top of the branch bent,backwards towards the main trunk and,have four to six pairs of thin spiny,scales that produce around six seeds per,cone,the seeds are so small that the forest,animals Overlook them so many of the,seeds survive germination,it is also capable of vegetative,reproduction as Fallen branches,sometimes develop roots,they are Forest Giants and can grow 200,feet tall,to get an even better sense of the,properties of this tree you can Crush,some of the leaves in your hand they,have a strong spicy Aroma that some say,is similar to pineapple,the Western red cedar is the provincial,tree of British Columbia and has been,the Cornerstone of northwest coast,indigenous culture with some tribes,reportedly called the people of the red,cedar,they would make all kinds of items using,red cedar including Dugout canoes,clothing baskets and housing,the specific property we are focusing on,today is the hinokichial contained,within the tree,there are temples in Japan still,standing for hundreds of years due to,the antibacterial and fungicidal,properties of the wood,it's one of the longest lived conifers,and if left undisturbed can live over a,thousand years,before we head into the lab and make a,microbiome balancing toner using Western,red cedar hydrosol let's take a look at,what e
