hello i am abhishek and in my youtube,channel i share how to videos on shopify,in this video we'll see how we can,reduce return to origin in shopify,stores,return to origin is when the goods are,returned back to the fulfillment setter,because they could not deliver it to the,customer,this primarily happens for a couple of,reasons,like if you have cash on delivery,enabled on your store anyone can make a,bogus order with the shipping details,incorrect,and this will eventually return back to,your store,another case is like when the customer,accidentally enters an incorrect phone,number and the delivery person is unable,to reach the customer and doesn't,deliver the order,let's see like how we can resolve this,in shopify,the idea is to verify the phone number,when they make the order,so this can be done using several apps,in this case i have used the cod order,verification by otp app,i'll share the link of this app in the,video description and also like other,related apps that you can try,so this app allowed me to install it on,a development store and that's why i'm,going through this app,so let's get into the app,the settings are pretty simple so we can,choose like whether we want the otp to,be sent via sms or through whatsapp,and there is also a message template,that can be edited,so once the app is enabled on the thank,you page it will have a widget to enter,the otp and as soon as it goes to the,thank you page the otp will also be sent,to the customer,there is an also an option to cancel the,order if it is not verified and,there is also an option to do this,verification for both cash on delivery,as well as for prepaid orders,so let's go to the online store and see,like how this works,let me go and purchase an item,going to add it to cart and then check,out,so i'll enter the phone number,so another point here is uh in your,shopify settings,go to the checkout settings,and make sure you have both phone number,and email as the customer contact method,and,under shipping address phone number,let's make it as required,this will make mobile number as,mandatory so that,it's entered in the order,so let's continue with the order,continue to payment here,so after the payment it goes to the,thank you page,the flow is similar even for cash on,delivery so,just when the flow goes to the thank you,page the whatsapp otp is triggered,let me see yeah so i got an otp on my,mobile phone now,so we can enter it in this widget and,say,confirm your order,yeah,so that's it i think if you go to the,shopify orders page now,this order will be marked as confirmed,yeah so we can see that a tag is added,to indicate this this order is verified,yeah so that's how the app works,apart from this i also wanted to like,share few other tips to reduce return to,origin,so one case we see is like when the,delivery person just makes a single call,and if the customer does not attend it,um they kind of mark the,shipment as return to origin,to avoid this,what we can do is from the store side we,

welcome to another tutorial of the live,chat in this tutorial i'll show you how,you can use our existing cash on,delivery order verification flow and set,up a new step where you can ask your,customer to pre-pay for the order which,is convert your cod order to prepaid,as soon as they confirm the order first,so,this flow will first send a message like,this where you'll ask your customer to,confirm or cancel the order and you can,optionally select this option here,and you can say that if the customer,does convert,confirm the order here,so the crd order is confirmed you can,send a second message to them,and this message template that i've used,here,ignore this side this message template,that i've used here i have included it,in the help article so you can copy,paste and use it uh this second message,can go out to the customer let's say a,minute or two after they confirm the,order i'm saying hey thank you for,confirming your crd order will process,it soon but here's an exclusive offer,just for you,prepay for your crd order or pay now for,your cod order and get x off on the,entire order value this x off here you,can define as five percent off and,include a discount code the discount,code will automatically be included in,the link,where they can complete the order,you can also include a flat discount,like maybe you want to include a 75,in inr indian rupee currency 75 rupees,discount flat discount on the offer so,you can just define that here in the,discount component and then mention that,here,like this,75 off,this text would get replaced here in,this variable,in get offer in the last step i have,used the variable invoice url invoice,url is the url which will take them to,shopify,the order that they have already,created all the items will already be,there their address details everything,will be there all they need to do is,select the right payment method which is,the prepay payment method and complete,the order,and if they complete the payment,the litechat will now automatically,cancel the previous cod order the,original cod order you can select that,option here,and we'll add tags to the order so the,original cod order will contain a tag,of the new order that just got created,and got confirmed by the customer,and the newly created order will also,contain a tag of the original cod order,that was cancelled so this way you'll be,able to easily keep track of,which order got converted and if it got,converted what is the new order id so,we're making sure that all of this works,seamlessly for you,finally in the analytics,you would be able to see how many of,these cod to prepaid uh messages,actually got converted so you'd be able,to see how many draft orders got created,which means after you enable the setting,whenever somebody clicks on the confirm,order button a draft order would get,created which is a duplicate order,um and how many of those draft orders,actually got converted into a prepaid,order and what would be the value of,those prepaid orders you'd be

How To Charge Extra For Cash On Delivery COD Orders On WooCommerce

hi everyone welcome to ke2 blogging and,in this video i will show you how you,can charge extra amount for cash on,delivery orders and,keep the price same for other payment,methods like,debit card or credit card or bank,transfer,so let's check how we can charge a fixed,amount for cash on delivery,so let me just add to this product to,the card,and let me just click on view cut,and let's proceed to checkout,and as you can see,we have three different payment methods,like direct bank transfer cash on,delivery and credit card and debit card,so i want to charge an additional amount,for cash on delivery because some,delivery partners,charges a higher amount for cash on,delivery order so we need to charge that,amount from the customer,so for this we are going to use a,external plug-in called payment gateway,based fees and discount for woocommerce,because woocommerce doesn't allow us to,add an additional charges for cash on,delivery,so let me just copy this,and let me just start this plugin in,dashboard so i will log into my,wordpress dashboard and under the plugin,section i will click on add name and,here i will search for this plugin so,let me just paste the text payment,gateway based fees and discounting for,woocommerce by techie softwares so we,need to install this plugin so let me,just install now,now let me just activate this plugin,okay now the plugin is installed let me,just go to woocommerce and let's click,on settings here,now you will see an additional option,called payment gateway based fees and,discount so just click on here,and here you will see this option like,this,so we need to click on cash on delivery,here so just click on cash on delivery,and here you need to click on cash on,delivery fees and discount so just,enable this and here you can set a fees,title so i will type like,cash on,delivery,fees,like this and you can also set a fixed,or percentage,of the order so i will add a fixed,delivery charges,and i can set the delivery charges to,like 50 rupees,so it will vary,according to the currency that you have,set in woocommerce so i will charge 50,rupees,as a delivery charge now i will scroll,down and i will just save this settings,okay now our delivery charges is added,let me just go to the checkout page and,let me just refresh this page,and as you can see the price of the,product is 250 but when i click on cash,on delivery,the price of,product is now changed to 300 and it is,shown that cash on delivery fees that we,have set in this settings,case on delivery fees so it will add a,title like this,and it will add the amount that we have,set in that settings so in this way you,can charge an additional amount for cash,on delivery orders in your woocommerce,website so if this video is helpful to,you then make sure to hit the like,button and do subscribe to blogging for,more upcoming videos like this i will,see you in the next video thank you
